I wanted to ask if Gus Fring was there. The chicken is hot and juicy. Lightly seasoned, lightly battered and fried to a dark crisp. Most of the crunch comes from the super crispy skin. It was not oily, when I bit the breast section the hot juices ran out. So hot it had to cool for a while before I could finish it. I liked the texture, the taste and the fact that it is not overly breaded. We had 2 three-piece meals with fries and beans. A plate full of great fries was under the chicken. The beans were tasty, spicey like chili beans. The restaurant was not crowded this afternoon. I believe the new has worn off. Reviewers’ ratings vary wildly. My wife and I enjoyed the meals, but I don’t believe Pollo Campero will dominate the fried chicken market in Tulsa. Not by the same name, but it does remind me of the chicken restaurant in that popular TV series a from few years ago.

The food was phenomenal the fried chicken was well cooked and a terrific flavor, like it was when my wife got it in Guatemala which is where she knew the chain from. We tried the yuca fries and got the tortillas and beans (great) regular fries and plantains not as done as we like(carmelized) but still pretty good if a little mushy. But we had not had the grilled chicken before and enjoyed it alot though the fried was the top choice. One of the boys cleaned the bone and that had not happened before. The campero sauce is good. The only draw back was a language barrier on the inside my Spanish is rusty at best and her English non existent it took 5 tries to convey kids meal. Some sides were wrong and an item was forgotten/not added but a different lady assumed control of our order and she did a great job. The other woman God bless her was trying very hard so I give them an a for effort but communication was an issue the guy behind me was much more fluent and did not have issues....I will use Google translate for sure if I run into it again.

Strangers' Gardens

A little disorganized; I asked for fried chicken but got grilled, and people who came in 15 minutes behind us got their food first, then the people 5 minutes behind us, then us. 😆 But the chicken is delicious! The yuca fries are great too, and we liked the sauce that came with. The rolls are bog standard dinner rolls, but there's nothing wrong with that! They also have horchata, which made me happy

I usually don’t do reviews for chain restaurants and I will for this one. Clean dining friendly service and great fried chicken. I had the four piece with Campero beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. Really good food served on real tableware. I would like to go back to try the grilled chicken as well as the Campero rice and Yuca fries. The horchata was also pretty tasty. I wound up taking two of the pieces of chicken home because I got full.

Guatemalan-style fried chicken. Recommend the beans, rice & the fried sweet plantains. Try the Jamaican-style Hibiscus tea too. 🇬🇹 🍗🌺☕

prices are way too expensive for this type of meal.not many deals.don't think it will last in this part of Tulsa sadly.

I've been to this place 5 times, I love their chicken and their food, but the soda machine never works. The 3 times I've been, it never works, it doesn't have gas or it's just water, they always tell me they'll fix it in 3 minutes and they never do anything. I love their chicken, but they'll lose a customer who truly loves this place by simply not replacing or repairing a soda machine.

Flavor was great. Service was great. The chicken pieces were very small, and the fries were cold and old. I asked for tortilla and got a bun instead🤦🏾🤦🏾. I was a bit disappointed....First and last time going here.

Super long wait lines and then three people had to ask me what my order was, portion size is very small I will not be coming here again $12 for a 3 piece the food was good though just not enough of it

Very bad experience with the workers, not very welcoming and very rude. Went to pick up an online order that I had already paid for and was charged for it again.

BE CAREFUL ⚠️⚠️⚠️ THEY SERVED ME SALMONELLA. If you don't speak Spanish they will probably give you bad chicken! It happened to me twice! No one speaks English here. The one in Oklahoma City is so much better and more professional. They were getting mad at me at the window because I didn't speak Spanish. I did not understand a thing they said when they were trying to speak English to me. Maybe hire an English speaker? They also take a long time to serve you. I also could not get a refund or come to any resolution with them about the problem because no one understood what I was talking about. We'll be reporting them to the health department and the BBB and the I.C.E. If you don't believe me call them right now and ask for someone to speak English and see what they say!
