C Rojo's Taqueria

This is one of the best taco restaurants in Tyler! Even when their kitchen backs up it's well worth a short wait. Staff is always pleasant, food is delicious, and my order is right every time. Will continue to eat here!

C Rojos is was great! The food was fantastic and the service was great! It was my first time going in and when I let the gentleman know up front, he went through the entire menu explaining everything! Great customer service from him and the young lady working the front. I had the chicken and carnitas tacos and they were both amazing. Plan on going back with the family at some point to try more!

Had breakfast, chorizo & egg tacos, came out hot & fresh- tacos were big, too- good value. Place is spotless. Beans were tasty & well-made. Highly recommend.

There are many excellent Mexican restaurants but C-Rojo's is unique among them. Chef's approach to his menu and his use of seasonings comes from a deep background in the up-scale restaurant field. it's not your usual Mexican food. Regular customer for a couple of years. Never disappointed. Recently used them for catering a 20 person event. Everything went as planned, ready on time, excellent value, and the food was a big hit with the participants.

Been here several times since I first reviewed them and I've yet to have something bad. Everything has been so good. If you haven't give them a try. Omg first time here after hearing all good things about them. Tried the tacos. Got 3 chicken tacos and oh boy were they good. Some of the best if not the best I've had in Tyler. They are close by. I'll be back for sure. Go check the out!!

This place is off the charts YUMMY!! The Mahi Mahi tacos are phenomenal and my wife loves them and she is not really a fish fan! I have to say this about the store, yesterday I ordered 3 Mahi Mahi tacos and I thought I told them 2 side orders of Brussel Sprouts (BTW, they are the best I've ever tasted). Well I got home and opened the bag and saw they gave me tacos with Brussel sprouts. I went back up there and they were so nice that they let me keep the tacos and then gave me the 2 orders of brussel sprouts for FREE! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and people that work there! It's nestled right next to a gas station, but don't let that fool you from not going as this is now our fav place to eat in all of Tyler!!! They also have a food truck where they cater, too!!

2 Steak tacos for $10. I wish I would’ve gotten 3. This was so good I’m recommending this to everyone. I tried my friends quesadilla and it was good too. SOOOO GOODDD

I don't know wat the ppl in the reviews are complaining abt. Ordering a taco w/no onions or cilantro. Gurl just go to Taco Bell. This food is really REALLY GOOD!!! I had the torta w/steak. The lettuce was kale and there was even avocado slices not guacamole. The fries were lightly seasoned and HOT!!! I cannot wait to dine in here in mi next visit to Tyler!!! Yes the prices are higher if you are comparing this restaurant to Taco Bell. But isn't all food high right now?!? I didn't have to wait long. I've waited longer @ Whataburger. Please guys don't let the reviews persuade you. I ate here 1st before reading the comments and I'm glad I did!!! 10/10!!! Chef's kiss.

I’ve been meaning to try C Rojos Taqueria for some time. I was intrigued because they have a machete quesadilla on their menu, and I love the texture of a crispy grilled masa! Photo one shows their set up. It's an expensive dish, but it was a whole lot of food. I could only eat half of it, and ate the other half today for lunch. Photo number two shows 'under the hood'. I got mine as al pastor, and you can see, they didn't skimp a bit! They had a red sauce that I got that was smoky. I'm pretty sure it was a Morita pepper sauce. It was absolutely the perfect compliment to the al pastor. I should also add that the rice had a mild delicious flavor too! There’s so much wonderful flavor here! I'd have to give these guys a 10 out of 10! This place is in a gas station on South Broadway between Target and Kohl's. Who eats in a gas station? Well, I certainly will for this kind of food!

Absolutely delicious! I always come in for the Pastor taco with fresh pineapple pico as well as the Mahi-mahi taco with fresh mango pico, both on flour tortillas. The warm, crispy chips & homemade salsa are also very yummy. This is my new favorite place for authentic tacos with amazing flavor and fresh ingredients. Highly recommend!

You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. Plus, the crispy fries on the side were the perfect complement. Definitely a winning combination that exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a high-quality burger in a great atmosphere, Crojos is the place to go. Highly recommended!

The carne asada was the best I have ever had; thin pieces of meat flavored to perfection. The attention to detail on the burger was not unnoticed. From the wagyu patty, aioli sauce, arugula, and homemade BBQ sauce all out of this world together. I also love that C Rojos Taqueria used to be a food truck. This place has the most amazing tasty tacos! The fish tacos in this picture had a really good sized filet in them, the other one is a sprout taco, the woman at the counter (very friendly and helpful) said that they were really popular and I can see why, super tasty! I would not hesitate in recommending this place, all 3 of us were very impressed. $15 for 3 excellent packed tacos, with drink, rice and beans, 10 out of 10

I'm so glad they're in South Tyler now! We had the C Rojos queso with pastor, 4 pastor tacos, 2 shrimp tacos, and 2 Mexican Cokes for $38. It came out quick, hot, and delicious. New location is nice and clean. We will definitely be back since they're closer to home.

It’s all about the food here! We had the beef tacos and the beef is tender. Machete quesadilla filled two people and was super good. All the sauces were great accents to the meal. Great food and casual. Clean but maybe play some music for the atmosphere.

This is our favorite place in Tyler hands down. Best food with an incredible flavor profile and massive portions. I was skeptical about some of their more unique items like the kimchi fries, but I was very surprised with how amazing they were. My favorite thing is the machete quesadilla which literally comes in a pizza box when you order it to go because it’s so large.

Lots of items on their Doordash menu not actually on their menu. It definitely needs to be updated. Also was unaware the churros were filled amd pleasantly came with ice cream. Again, nothing about it on the menu. All together things were OK. Not clear about their definition of a combo meal since we ordered 4 but only 2 came with sides... 🤷‍♀️ again the doordash menu is not very clear. The food was pretty good although very expensive for what you get. We'll probably give them another shot, maybe a different location.

Food was really good. Its not cheap, but the ingredients were premium. 5 tacos with one side beans and rice were $28. All tacos were on point. The flavor profiles are perfect. Would recommend. Only reason 4 stars is it was luke warm. Drove 1 mile down the road and tacos were cold. Had to reheat at home.

Torta was great, taco was good! Cashier was helpful recommending what to order. Restaurant itself looked a little scuzzy. Stained ceiling tiles, several lightbulbs out, a few dirty tables. We were only diners due to weather so no excuse for dirty tables. Food was good tho! I plan on coming back!

We walked up to the front counter to place our order and we were instantly greeted by a kind young lady. We had a few questions about the menu and she easily answered all of our questions with a smile. She also made a few really good suggestions as well. We ended up deciding on the Brussels Bowl with shrimp and the Machete Quesadilla (it’s basically a quesadilla the size of a football). We sat down at our table and within 3 to 4 minutes, the waitress brought out some chips and salsa. If you haven’t had the salsa, it’s amazing!!! About 5 minutes later, our food arrived. The first thing I tried was the brussel sprouts. The texture was a bit different to me, but the flavor was soooooo good. I’d definitely eat them again. I then tried the shrimp and I have to admit, they were perfectly cooked and seasoned as well. My wife and I split the quesadilla and we still had leftovers. We chose carne asada as our meat. It was very juicy and tender. It was also seasoned quite well. The quesadilla was full of melted cheese and beans. We got the pickled onions on the side, which is also something I tried for the first time. I loved them!!! Up until today, I’ve always ordered their wagyu burger and I’ve tried a few different tacos from them. I definitely have some new options to choose from in the future. I highly recommend stopping by and trying some of their excellent quality food.

This has been all 5s and 4s. This past visit was not all good, even tho the food was stellar. I sat at the drive thru speaker for 5 full minutes before I drove around and went in. Very lackadaisical service. BUT! the food is delicious. Please care more about your clients! The brussel sprout tacos are 5☆ and so are the shrimp!

Food is always good. But they were out of eggs Saturday and I wanted a breakfast burrito. So I gotta score low. Can't run out of eggs if you sell breakfast. Otherwise love their food.

These were honestly some of the worst breakfast tacos I’ve ever had. I got them at around 12:30 and had a 10 minute drive home. By time I got home, the bottom of the tacos were completely soggy and started to leak juice as I bit into one. The picture I took is AFTER I airfried them. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu, but this kinda ruined that for me, sadly :( Maybe the 10 minute drive is what caused it, but I would hope that they would be able to preserve them a little better as a restaurant. Everyone there was really nice though. I’ll give them five stars for friendly staff. Just a little disappointed but would like to taste them without them falling apart and leaking juice!

I was so excited to try this place after reading it was going to be in America's best restaurants but was a complete let down. I ordered the 3 gourmet taco plate with carnitas and a jarritos. When I got the bottle drink it was room temp and the tacos were just slightly warm. The chicken was dry and bland and the bottom of the tortilla was soaked in oil to a point of being disgusting and now my stomach is turning. Very unsatisfying. The only reason I give 2 stars Is because the rice and beans were good, that's it.

1st and last time. Not sure what happened in the last month or so. I went because of the reviews but they are completely wrong. I ordered a torta with al pastor. What they gave me was a very small torta with 90% beans and a string of meat. I asked for a bag to put the to-go box that had grease all over so it wouldn't get all over my seat. But a not so friendly employee said that he wouldn't give me a bag since I had only ordered 1 thing. Service and food need a lot of improvement.

SCAM. Will accept your DoorDash order when they're closed and but hours show they're open then tell you there's nothing they can do. If I hadn't waved someone down at the drive through window they would have continued to ignore me. DoorDash support denied my refund and I never got my food. Horrible management.

Tried for the first time 15 mins ago ordered the gourmet tacos with no onions no pico. I asked for corn tortillas guy said okay price I believe said 14$ on the menu. Order churros 3$ and a Dr Pepper was charged 30$ now unless there’s Dr Pepper was 13$ I was over charged. And on top of that I didn’t get corn tortillas I got flour for a first time visit I will not be visiting again also didn’t get a receipt Paid 30$ for one person to eat

Make sure when you eat here you bring your own sauce... I ordered 12 tacos to go and they only gave me 3 mini sauces and said more is extra so I paid for more but will use whatever sauce I have at home for the rest because that is not worth it!

Would not recommend! The employee at the window was rude and provided information that directly contradicts your online menu (unless it is wrong y’all should probably fix it); despite the website listing an option for tacos ala carte, she refused to let me order individually and rang me in a purchase a 6-pack of chicken tacos. After being told shrimp street tacos were unavailable, I just asked for a side of shrimp, only for the staff to prepare it as a street taco anyway? Wish there was not so much unprofessionalism and contradictions.
