Had an excellent lunch here. The number of items that come with the lunch specials is impressive, as is their quality. The steak and scallop fried rice was quite tasty. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place! First visit last Wednesday at noon. Great noon special. Quiet, nice atmosphere. Waitress was very pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. I can't stop talking about this place! LOVE!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Sat at the sushi bar and had a fantastic evening speaking to the chefs, who prepared equally incredible food for us. All the staff and servers we interacted with were very helpful, informative, and friendly, and the restaurant’s interior was quite beautiful. There’s a full bar, and we were also graced with live music from a local performer. Prices are fair as well, especially for the quality. We plan to make this a regular stop, and look forward to coming back soon. Will definitely have to give the hibachi grill a try sometime, but it looked fantastic from a distance, and everyone seemed to be having an excellent time.

Came for lunch. Rolls were fantastic and decent price! Got Lo Mein for main dish it was good as well. They serve big portions, which is great!!Inside was very relaxing with plenty of space for any size group of people. Employees were great! Our waitress was the bartender and she was fantastic and very helpful. I’ll be back to try out the hibachi!

First time here. The food was absolutely amazing. Got here late on a Friday during the storms. Paul was a great server, cool, and all-around good person. Meals were cooked to perfection. Just have to say we were near some parties that were extremely loud. I got stuck on a corner next to the entryway adjacent to the other party. The lady sitting next to me knocked over her soup, which spilled all over my pants and new shoes. The lady didn't even care to apologize. Lastly, what is up with the slippery floors??? From the moment we walked into the back tables, the floors were super slippery and so greasy!

Terrific first time! The hibachi grill master was so friendly and very entertaining! Spicy Cajun roll was sooo good! Also, loved the hibachi chicken and scallops meal, that came with veggies, (white rice, fried rice, or brown rice), noodles, onion soup, and salad with a divine ginger dressing! & my daughter LOVED the grilled shrimp! It's a pricey experience, but totally worth it!

So I getting my tire fixed next-door at discount tire decided to go have a cocktail and a sushi roll. I’m from Houston so this was a first for me. Let me just say OMG that sushi roll. I had was so delicious and huge. Prices are really reasonable. It was a specialty role with shrimp, cream cheese lightly tempura. I don’t remember the name of it, but I can tell you I asked for salmon instead and they were very happy to change it for me. I will return next I’m in Tyler.

First time here. Chairs are way to low, for people with bad knees. Food, on most part was amazing, loved it, did not like the tempura shrimp batter at all. !!! Our chef was alot of fun, the group with us was fun. Really enjoyed our time there.

Stopped by for an early dinner. We weren’t aware that our entire party had to be standing in the entrance to get a table. My brother in law and I decided to get the table while the ladies got the kids out of their car seats and into the restaurant. The hostess seemed irritated when we explained the situation, but everyone arrived before we even finished speaking. To be fair, the hostess seemed unhappy to be there when she seated anyone. Obviously there’s no way of knowing what’s going on in her personal life and everyone can have a bad day, but hosting is the first impression for patrons to a restaurant. So we started our dining experience on a not great, but not horrible note. Once seated, our waitress was awesome. We had three children all under the age of four with us, along with five adults. The other employees that walked by made eye contact with her as if to say, “Good luck,” but she didn’t need it. She was a pro. Our personal chef came out smiling, friendly, and ready to entertain. He was very personable and outgoing. He did a great job with the food. Speaking of, all the food was amazing. We ordered hibachi and sushi rolls and were NOT disappointed. There was more than enough food to fill our bellies and leave us happy. The restaurant is darkly lit, making an intimate setting that works well with the flame tricks that the chefs perform while cooking. The restrooms were clean and even had a foot pedal at the bottom of the door to avoid having to touch the door handle when leaving. Kudos to Kawa’s!

Where the quality of food was good. We were very upset about a few things with our to go order. We did not have any salad dressing with any of our salads and the lettuce we got for the lettuce wraps was a very odd shape which would not allow us to "weap" the chicken. Also, the plastic container for 2 soups was less than one third full. We asked for extra Swiss sauce and only got 2 packets and the icing on the cake, we did not get any fortune cookies which my kids were very disappointed about. This is about the fourth or fifth time there have been small issues with our to go orders, so we will definitely make sure to check them moving forward. And where I rwalize these don't seem like big problems, they can be frustrating.

I am sitting in the booth writing this. This place was a fave when we have come to Tyler, but after this visit no longer. Food was lukewarm and cold. Fried rice was cold and hard. Our food was delivered by a different waitress and basically told us-“not sure what this is, I was just told to bring it”. The restaurant was unkept and chaotic. Asked for a manager, never came. Proof of the issue.

Been coming here for years. Today was the absolute worst food I’ve ever ate here. It all was burnt. The cook was too busy drinking beer with one of the people eating at the table. I can’t believe this is acceptable. On top of this they charged me $100 for absolute garbage food. I’ll never go back here again. From now on it’ll be shoguns. Kawas if you read this I want a refund. It was disgusting and the cook was unprofessional.

I got egg drop soup and it was Luke warm at best. Mongolian Beef was very sweet and the Miso soup didnt have any tofu in it. Terrible service! We sat at the bar and it seemed we were bothering the staff. Not good.

Our experience for the last two visits have not been anything like the one’s shown. The service was poor, rushed, chaotic and orders completed incorrectly. For a reservation for 10, to celebrate a birthday, the table was short 1 chair. Only 4 forks with a stack of napkins were placed in the center of the table, and plates for sharing had to be asked for. They were placed on the table in such a manner they slid off the stack. They were “out of” the beer…a common brand, and when we paid in cash, they were out of money to give anything but one’s, five’s and ten’s. Server kept complaining they were slammed, making excuses for sub par service and/or arrangements. We were served chunks of meat, not medium rare filets. The shrimp was tough. Though comped when it was brought to the “manager’s” attention, it was a lousy experience. Drinks were ordered, yet never received. It appears the entire restaurant staff is young and without appropriate customer service skills. A young male employee kept slinging his very long hair and running his hands through it while creating “to go” orders, and sneaking treats from ….not sure where, what or who’s food. Finally, after much chaos, we were asked if we wanted to recognize the birthday celebration, but when we said no, it was too late, the server said, “good”. It’s really just embarrassing. Awful experience. Loud, cold, chaotic and poorly managed. The restaurant needs some mature management.

I’ll just start off by saying the servers were great and did their job well but DO NOT eat here unless you enjoy consuming MAGGOTS! I didn’t notice while eating there but I had brought home leftovers and put them straight in my fridge, the next day I heated my food and was half way done eating when I noticed the worms. And no it was not rice that kinda looked like a bug, it was a straight up maggot with eyes and everything. Please skip this place. Quality control is obviously not a priority with this establishment. We did the hibachi by the way and spent a lot of money so I am highly disappointed in this experience.
