The food is what one would expect from a Hawaiian BBQ place. If you are from So Cal you have eaten at L&L BBQ… Hawaiian Bros is this concept on steroids. Very clean, presentable and inviting place to eat at. The spice and flavor is what would be expected for fast food / take out. I gave 3 stars on service because there is very little interaction with staff. You order from a kiosk in front and staff brings it to you. The staff are very pleasing and helpful with what interaction that was had. When in Tyler and you need a good fill up give Hawaiian Bros a try.
We ordered at the register with Michael. He was excited about the menu and offered us samples. As you see from the photos, we split a large Huli Huli plate, a spam musubi, and a strawberry/pineapple soft serve twist; with a great peppered macaroni and fresh pineapple slices for our sides. Everything was fresh.
Michael my server was excellent. He explained all the options and made great suggestions. The food was wonderful. Loved sitting in the restaurant to eat. They had the atmosphere and music playing from Hawaii. Brought back beautiful memories from Honolulu and Maui!
I made the mistake of not picking up anything to eat While Driving in from DFW and needless to say I was starving when I got to Tyler. Naturally I gravitated towards Hawaiian Bros. I was blown away by the level of customer service Justin and Dre provided. They went above and beyond and I couldn’t ask any more. I highly recommend this location if you are hungry!
First time to eat at Hawaiian Bros and Michael did a fantastic job explaining the menu to us! Took time to answer questions. The food was delicious! And service was fantastic!
I was looking for some Hawaiian food for my Dad (born and raised in Hawaii), we recently moved to TX. Justin and Jacob at the 6915 Broadway Ave TX location were awesome explaining the menu and assisting us with our order. We all ordered mix plates and were extremely satisfied with the taste and portions. My Dad says "Food is Ono delicious" and gives Justin and Jacob a double Shaka
I had a fantastic experience at Hawaiian Bros! The food was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every bite tasted authentic and delicious. What really stood out was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole visit feel enjoyable from start to finish. On top of that, the restaurant was spotless. It’s clear they take pride in keeping the dining area clean and comfortable for guests. Great food, great people, and a great atmosphere. It was our first time here and I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal and excellent service!
I tried Hawaiian Bros. In Tyler Texas. The server named Dre was very helpful in explaining the menu and made my first experience fun. I went back a second time and he remembered me. Their classic Huli Huli chicken is really tasty. I chose the vegetables which were good and not soggy at all. Their macaroni salad was good too. I'll definitely be going back.
Our host was amazing. I informed him that it was our very first time and so he took time going over the menu. He walked us through the process of ordering and were satisfied overall. I was expecting our food to be more warmer than it was since we had a slight wait period. Nonetheless, our food came out great with enough flavor and a decent amount was given. We were not disappointed and enjoyed our meal.
Michael was so great! It was our first time and explained the menu and offered recommendations for us. From the moment we walked in he gave service with a smile. It was a breath of fresh air in the service industry. Our food was great, we will be back. Thanks Michael for being so great keep up the great work!
I really felt like part of the Bros. Riley was our cashier and was super friendly and very accommodating to my table of people. We had loitered for a good bit as I was reuniting with my friends. The store was very clean and the food was even better. Probably my favorite part of driving into Tyler.
Our experience was top notch! Michael was extremely helpful and respectful, he continued to check on us and made sure our food was perfect. the restaurant was very clean and has a comfortable environment Michael was very knowledgeable on all the details of everything and had delicious recommendations. I would say 10/10 service!!
If Disneyland is considered the happiest place on Earth, then Hawaiian Bros Island Grill is the fast food version of Mickey Mouse. The service here is top notch with the employees being as committed to their "Aloha" greetings and "Mahalo" gratitudes as any Disney employee is. They keep it fun and light, which is a stark contrast to many similar establishments. The food is outstanding with several tasty options especially when paired with their jaw-dropping Pineapple Barbecue sauce. I'm currently obsessed with their "Luau Pig" but you can't go wrong with anything chicken. The price is on point with the quality of food your getting. And I grew up eating rice nearly everyday, so it's comfort food for me. Plus the service makes it feel even more like home.
Best place to eat especially when you’re done with a work out. Food is filling and uniquely tasty. Server is grate knows all about the food and his job. Very well done
Great service at this establishment. I don't know if there's more Hawaiian bros in the area, but this one is for sure the best. The person who served me looked an insane amount like Megamind (from the 2010 film Megamind starring Will Ferrell and Brad Pitt). Another review mentioned her, so she must be really popular, and I totally see why. If you go here, do yourself a favor and ask for Megamind.
The employee that looks like megamind provided me really good service. I think her name tag read Riley? She’s a great employee and we even had a nice conversation during my visit. I would visit again for the food and the welcoming staff.
This place is absolutely perfect. This was my first time here and the service was amazing. Micheal is a great server. A very kind and down to earth guy. And he made sure we had everything we need. He really made this place feel special. The food is really good, and they do a great job with portions. It's a very simple menu. The atmosphere is awesome. It feels like I'm at the beach, and it's just so calming. They play calm, beautiful music to set the vibe. I love this place, and I've only been here once. Totally recommend! :)
The service here was absolutely wonderful! We were constantly cared for with great service and help from our waiter, Micheal, and the food was also so great. The whole vibe of this place was honestly just incredible. Would recommend
Honestly an amazing place. Food is sublime, atmosphere is very much beach oriented with a mix of traditional Hawaiian music with artists mixed in that are associated with the state. Servers were constantly checking to see if everything was ok. Free Samples are also offered on a lot of things. Our cashier/server was Michael and he was amazing and deserves a raise! Will be returning every time I can.
Finally tried Hawaiian Bros and it did not disappoint. I was greeted upon arrival and when I told the ‘Bro’ I had never been there before, he had a great attitude, was very happy and thorough to go over the menu items and explain everything. I ended up with the spicy Kilauea option as a Small, and it was delicious and the perfect portion to meet my macros. Everything was very clean, and other staff were just as friendly. Honestly, for the same price point, I would pick this over Panda every time. The food is comparable, but the staff’s attitude and cleanliness of restaurant make a world of difference.
The food was amazing perfect amount of food for one serving and they don’t cheap out on the protein. The pineapple was fresh and the chicken had the perfect amount of sauce and spice to keep you wanting more while eating. The service was impeccable out server Dre made sure to check on us throughout the meal and extremely polite one of the best people iv met in the fast food industry.

Excellent Service from Tristian! I had such a great experience thanks to Tristian! He was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly. He’s an amazing waitress and cashier — very professional, patient, and always had a great attitude. You can really tell he cares about giving customers the best service possible. Definitely made my visit enjoyable. Highly recommend asking for Tristian if you stop by!

I was looking for good ice cream and stumbled across this place, totally happy with the dole whip vs ice cream. It's the closest to real dole whip in hawaii that I've tried on the main land. Such a cute restaurant! They also have the real hawaiian sun drinks!
This is our first time. The guy who took care of us with our order was Peet. He was very helpful, extremely knowledgeable on all the menu items, and explained every item to us to help us decide. The food is good. He suggested we try the pineapple lemonade, which is sooooo good! If you’re in the Tyler area or just passing through, come tell them aloha!
My husband loves this place and we've only been to the drive thru once! He keeps asking if we can go back because the food was just so good. The dishes are bursting with flavor and the portions are perfect if you're hungry and need something filling. We were there kind of late but the crew member was so helpful over the intercom. He suggested getting a mix so that we could try a few different things and his suggestions did not disappoint! We got the huli huli chicken, honolulu chicken, luau pig, and kilauea. We also got spam musubi and a soft serve of pineapple which was so refreshing!
I ate in and loved it so much I got a to go plate. I could definitely tell that the pineapple was fresh cut and not out of a can. The pineapple Dole soft serve was too die for, also it's made fresh.
So it's early in the brunch hours & I see 'Chris' working hard in the kitchen of Hawaiian Brothers Island Grill. It's my first time in this venue and I'm pretty hungry. Chris informs me of their menu items & I tell him I've got $16 bucks to spend. He hooks me up with a menu classic AND a free soft serve ice cream!
Went in for a lunch date with husband and we were spoiled. Justin was very attentive and helpful, showing us the menu, suggestions and making sure we were happy with our meal. We didn’t get young ladies name with the cap but she was very friendly, attentive, and helpful as well. They both offered and then we were brought over a sample of the Dole Soft serve. It’s was refreshing and good. Food was fresh and very good flavor. Veggies were cooked perfectly with a fresh crunch to them, rice was nicely cooked, and Mac salad was a nice addition of texture and flavor. Definitely recommend this place!
