Great atmosphere. The service is great. The food is exceptional.
It was so nice and such a peaceful environment! They were very kind towards my gluten intolerance. They gave me cheese "bread" with cauliflower crust and marinara which was SUPER thoughtful amd delicious. Their pizza and pastas were amazing as well! Great staff, thank you for the wonderful experience!🙏❤️
Nina A was an amazing waitress absolutely loved her has a great personality and always smiling! And the people in the from were friendly as well I know y'all were pretty packed when we came and nobody seem stressed out. I know I’d be stressed out if I worked there lol how busy it was but everyone was friendly and smiling! Thank you for the great food and great service!
I’m not sure how or why I haven’t tried Oliveto Italian Bistro yet, but I’m so glad I finally made my way there for lunch today. I had a $25 off coupon if you spend $50 or more, so I figured I had no choice in the matter haha. I said down at the table with my wife and 2 of my boys. We all looked through the menu and decided on what we wanted. Julio was our waiter and he did a phenomenal job the entire time. My twins ordered the 2 for $25. They got the hearth baked cheese bread as their appetizer and one got the fettuccine Alfredo and the other got a cheese pizza. My wife ordered the Italian nachos and I got the chicken parmesan. Everything was great, but there was one dish in particular that was incredible!!! The Italian nachos😍 The chips are made using crispy wontons, which is what really made them stand out so much. They were light and airy, with the perfect crunch to them. All of the toppings seemed to blend so well together, especially the drizzle of balsamic reduction and alfredo sauce over the top. I would honestly go back multiple times for these nachos alone. We ordered ours with no red peppers, olives, or jalapeños. We also got the dulce de leche bread pudding for dessert and that alone was worth the trip!!! I know I’m late to the party, but if you haven’t tried this place, I highly recommend stopping by.
Perfect timing. Not too full nor busy. The hostess was distracted on her phone, so it took her a little longer than normal to acknowledge us and seat us. However, the waiter was super awesome and helpful. He provided great recommendations and was perfectly attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. It was hot and fresh. The ingredients themselves were fresh, too. I have not had great food and a great experience like this in a long time. It was our first time there, I'm so glad I chose the place. Oh, the raspberry tea was delicious, too!! Great job!!!
OMG what a treat Oliveto showed us! Great atmosphere, great service (thank you, Whitney), and even better food. We started off with pepperoni bread, served with marinara and Alfredo sauces, which had excellent flavor paired with fresh ingredients. Followed up with a pasta trio and pepperoni pizza 🍕. Surprisingly the pizza tasted so differently to the pizza bread, both worth a try. What really blew me away were the meat balls! They are huge and so so so good! We can't wait to go back again and hopefully save room for dessert next time! #GoogleGal
My husband and I went to Oliveto's for a Valentine's Day dinner. We were greeted at the door and told that it would be up to 20 minutes before we could get seated. Then, to our surprise, a waitress began cleaning off the only vacant table! In less than 10 minutes, we were seated! We decided to take advantage of the advertised special on our table, which was an appetizer two entrees for $25.00. We ordered the cheese bread appetizer of the two choices. Of the four entrees, my husband chose the Fire Roasted Pizza with jalapenos, and I chose the Chicken Alfredo. My husband said that the pizza was "OFF THE CHAIN"!! He said it was the BEST pizza he had ever eaten! The crust was light and crispy, not doughy like others he had eaten. My meal was SO GOOD! The Chicken Alfredo was delicious, with tender, bite-sized chicken, mushroom s, and noodles in a wonderful Alfredo sauce. We ordered two glasses of wine, which tasted good for a house wine. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The meal came within 20 minutes, which was fantastic considering how busy the restaurant was! The atmosphere wasn't romantic because of the bright lights and loud voices, but the meal more than made up for that. We WILL be going back! PS., they are located in Tyler at HWY110 and Loop 323, next to Don Benito's.
After moving here to Tyler two weeks ago, we hadn't found a restaurant that we'd want to come to on a regular basis. Until now. Oliveto's had a nice menu selection (and not just the usual Italian dishes). I had Rigatoni Rustica, and my wife had Chicken Scallopini. Both were well prepared and very tasty. Portion size left us asking for to-go boxes. We will be back again.
Today, my husband took me on a surprise date to Tyler from Shreveport, Louisiana. Eating at this restaurant was a blessing AND a curse. Now I have to live my life knowing that the best Italian restaurant is a TWO hour drive away! 😭 Just kidding, we have no regrets. We were so blown away by each dish we got from Oliveto. I apologize for the photos of the appetizers, they were SO GOOD that we gobbled them down immediately before I could get a picture. The bread sticks were well worth the money, the calamari was not chewy at all, and their tomato bisque soup is a new favorite of mine. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and my husband described the meatballs as an "art". They were tender, steaming hot, and full of flavor. Somehow, they didn't fall apart when I cut into them despite them not being even slightly dry. Dessert blew me away as well. Every single dish we got was piping hot and exceeded my every expectation. To top off our experience, the service was also amazing! She was friendly and took great care of us. Well worth the drive, I hope we can make it back soon!!
Everything was delicious, it smells great in here, our waitress, Mariela, was super nice. The food took a bit, but the wait is worth it for sure.
I got the tomato basil soup which was good but my bf got the chicken Alfredo and he wanted mushrooms in the dish. When the server came out with our food the mushrooms were not cooked and just thrown on top of the food. My bf has beef going there for years and never had any issues until that night. So the server took his food back and a few minutes later they cooked the mushrooms and then put it back on the pasta but didn’t mix it like they should. He was irritated about that and that just shows that the cooks were lazy that night.
Visited Oliveto on a Monday night; they were not very busy. We ordered the Asiago Spinach Dip for our appetizer. The spinach dip did not disappoint at all; it was very good! For the main course, I ordered the Caliente Chicken. The Caliente Chicken had great flavor and spice. I was very pleased with that dish. My wife ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which she also liked. For dessert, we ordered the deep dish cookie. The cookie was a little bit over cooked, but was still a tasty treat. Aside from the overdone cookie, the only other, “less than 5 star experience” was the service. The restaurant was somewhat slow and so was our service. It took our server a very long time to get back to our table many times. He also was not the most observant. (Taking empty plates that had been put on the edge of the table, asking us if we were ready to order, etc.) I think some of this can be attributed to the fact that he was the only server I saw during our visit. Again, they were slow, there were only about 7 tables occupied. However, I think our server was servicing all of the tables. Overall, we were very pleased with our visit and plan to return in the future.
The sweet tea is great but that's about where it stops. The breadsticks are definitely a no go. Thick and tough. I had the pasta trio and the bow tie Alfredo was a miss. Thick sauce but also tough pasta. Edible but not worth every ordering twice. The spaghetti was ok, the meatball definitely needed to be more tender, instead of rubbery but i liked the sauce, whereas ny boyfriend said it tasted like chili. But I was extremely disappointed in the lasagna. I didn't even try it before I was packing my food to go or I would have absolutely sent it back. It tasted like sweet sausage but I hadn't even gotten to the sausage. It overpowered the sauce and the cheese. Gonna feed it to my chickens since I've already paid for it. And we wont be returning. If the food didn't ruin it, the nasty restrooms sealed the deal. He had already told me the mens room was bad but I walked into the ladies and turned right back around. The smell was bad enough but one stall was out of order and there was toilet paper all on the floor and the floor of one of the other stalls. Definitely skip this place.
Staff are super friendly. Food was just so so. Very disappointed in the brunette Sunday. I think they forgot to add the basil. I certainly didn't taste any. The gluten-free bread was great though! The ceasar was really good too. Nice and tangy. I had the gf Caliente Chicken. It was okay but the flavors were a little odd. Hubs had the crab cake Italiano. He was really disappointed. Said the crab cakes seemed frozen and/ or overcooked. Nothing seemed fresh. Sort of seemed like it might be heat and serve. Also, som issue in the bathroom. The smell was awful when I went in. It was contained to the bathroom, thankfully!
OK. Before I start the flavor on my pasta was amazing, the order process online was easy, but the portions were very small, the cake was EXTREMELY dense to the point of being chewy, I tossed it after 2 bites and the whipped cream on 2 slices was left off. We also ordered a dishes with angle hair pasta it was cooked to the point of being mushy, that dish was also tossed. This is my first time back since the pandemic so I was definitely disappointed, but I will try one more time. I will let you know how it goes.
While our server was very friendly, overall the place was pretty mediocre. The food arrived lukewarm, and the breadsticks were kept in the warmer until our entrée came — but they weren’t very good. Considering the price, portion size, and taste, I’d rather spend a little more at Olive Garden and get something that actually feels authentically Italian. Dead on Sunday Night tells you all you need to know.
Ordered togo. Got there after the disinterested "hostess" directed me to the bar area. Young lady explained that the order was double ordered and asked what I want to do. Well I only need one. She explained that it had already been charged and made. Well I still don't want two. Angered, I told her just to can the other one. Not what I wanted to say, but .... I'll be back to visit this "restaurant" when hell freezes over. Service sucks more than the food.
We had a very sweet waitress who recommended the cheese bread and she was so right it was the only thin that was very good . The pasta is bland and nothing to write home about. The breadsticks are kept in a sweaty warmer thing and not fresh sadly . It was just a sad experience when we were wanting Bruno’s - it was closed so we tried this. Huge mistake .its expensive for the quality and feel.
Its a really cute place but the food was mediocre and the waitress Angela was not rude, but made no effort to be kind or seem interested in us at all. She didny know for a long time we had been seated in her section and was just standing on the other side of the room talking to another waitress. I had to go find her to get the check. I dont think we would go back to this place honestly.
This place was just plain terrible! I take no pleasure in writing this review, but want to warn others. Do not go to Oliveto! My wife and I went because we received coupons. The flyer with the coupons looked professional, so we gave Oliveto a try. The server seated us, provided our drinks and asked if we needed a couple of minutes before ordering. It took her about 15 minutes to return. And it was not busy, there were maybe five other tables with people. While waiting, we noticed the booth's fabric was dirty like kids had a food fight and it hadn't been cleaned in ages. We almost asked for our bill for the drinks so we could leave, but we were hungry and hoped for the best. Once we ordered, the food arrived in two minutes. It seemed like it was microwaved and tasted mediocre at best. No bread was offered beforehand. Our server never came back to check on us or refill our drinks. The women's restroom had a bucket in it to catch water leaks. The men's bathroom smelled like a circus. Soap dispenser was broke so they had a bottle on the counter.
