I love this place. The food is excellent. My personal favorite is the chicken Paiadine. Hands down they have the best meal deal in town. Where can you find $12.88 lunch which includes a minestrone soup and a Piandine for this price?

Update 2024: had the usuals like garlic bread, margarita pizza and happy hour cocktail. We took the bruschetta this time. It tasted fine. The tomato on the bruschetta was 1 big slice. So when you take a bite it won't cut the way you want and it turns out to be a mess because it will pull the rest of the tomato as well. 2023 review: This is our usual go to place when we get there for a movie at Century. I like their margarita pizza. We took the personal size. It was good for 2 people if you are trying out other things on the menu. The garlic bread went well with the pizza. So did the salad. The portion size of the salad was small. The strawberry based cocktail i had ordered was also great. There wasn't any service as such. We ordered via the qr code on the table. The food was served and then there was no interaction any more with the staff except when i needed to call for a cleaner plate. After paying the bill I really started wondering, why did i even tip and who did i even tip where there was no recommendation, additional interaction with any server!! Having said that, we enjoy the food here and would definitely come back again.

It's a nice restaurant serving Italian cuisine. Little pricey but worth it. Enough vegetarian options available. Garden Pizza was awesome. Overflowing with toppings. Butternut Ravioli and Bruschetta were also very good. Ambience is good. Nice place to enjoy the evening with family. It has a bar also.

Review for Vegetarians Title: A Mixed Experience at Tomatino in Union Landing I recently dined at Tomatino in Union Landing and had a somewhat mixed experience. The Bruschetta and Mixta Salad were definite highlights, impressing with their fresh flavors and vibrant presentation. The Minestrone soup also stood out, offering a comforting and well-seasoned option. On the flip side, the Alfredo pasta failed to meet expectations. Its taste fell flat and left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the garlic rolls were marred by an excessive amount of salt, making them a bit overpowering for my liking. Despite these culinary hiccups, the overall service was commendable. The staff was attentive and accommodating throughout the meal, enhancing the dining experience. In conclusion, while the dishes had their ups and downs, the good service balanced the equation, resulting in an okayish dining experience at Tomatino in Union Landing.

Small and clean place, kind and friendly staff. Easy ways to order and pay. Limited menu. Good drink options. They offer pizza, pasta and other appetizers. The bruschetta was delicious especially with the homemade pesto. Thai garlic knots is also a good one. Their strawberry lemonade is quite refreshing. I ordered veggie pasta. It can be better if added more flavors and options to their entrees. The tiramisu is something I recommend too.

The pasta had no taste - just semi boiled fettuccine and raw mushrooms in watery sauce. The garden pizza also had raw toppings and too much cheese. Won't recommend.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Tomatino was disappointing enough that I feel it’s worth sharing. From the start, the service was frustrating. I waited far too long just to be acknowledged, and it felt like I was being ignored before they finally decided to seat me. Things didn’t improve once I sat down—service was slow and inattentive. When my food finally came out, the kitchen brought my entrée at the same time as my starter. Of course, that meant my main dish sat there getting cold while I tried to enjoy the appetizer. By the time I got to it, the food had lost all appeal. Overall, the poor service and lack of attention to detail ruined what should have been a simple, pleasant meal. Definitely not worth the wait.

We love Tomatina’s but the service is really bad. From the moment you walk in no one greets you. They take forever to come to your table to just bring your drinks and once they bring your food, they never come back to check on you. The Union City location is the closest one to us and we sometimes don’t go just because of the service. We really hope that the service can improve at this location.

Worst experience. The person who served us did not even give us a right menu. We came on a sunday. It was just me and my kid. We were give one kids menu and a smaller one. Since this was my first time coming, I thought he just gave us weekend menu which has no good options. We picked from it and placed the order . Even while taking the order i have repeat my self over again as the person was not paying attention. But after a few minutes we saw the other table getting a bigger menu by the time we realized the order was placed and we received the food. When i asked he said he gave me two menu bigger and smaller one. I had to tell him that he did not. Also the food very average. If what we ordered was satisfactory i would’ve rethought about writing this reviewe. Worse service and never coming back again.

Similar to Telikapalli's experience described below. The service was really really bad. The waiter acknowledged us when we walked in, hinting we can sit anywhere wed like. Sat there for 10min without service, no menu brought to us, and I don't think there's QR code on the table. Finally another group walked in, they were being guided to sit to their table. The menu was eventually brought to us after two other groups that came in after us. I was still patient and trying to see if the food will make up for it. After seeing that the server did not give us the seasonal menu I decided to walk out. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, and the staff were talking to each other while we waited for menu the entire time. I have seen Tomatina many many times around the bay area and have been wanting to try it out. I'm more than disappointed that this is what I get. We ended up going to the ramen place next door. Would recommend that place as an alternative to Tomatina if you want a proper dining experience. There were only one waitress at the ramen place and she was really nice and attentive.

The sauce is literally so watered down..I practically drank water…when I would pick up the pasta with my fork, all of the sauce dripped right off. I wish that I could share a video to everyone to show you how bad it is, but clearly, you all can see the pasta sauce (watered down) just sitting at the bottom of the tray. I ordered this on door dash and I was so hungry that I had no choice but to eat the pasta! I was so disappointed on how disgusting it was. Save your money and do not eat here, you’re better off making it at home, trust me.
