My server was wonderful. She was freaking busy but did a great job of staying calm and giving the right amount of attention to our table! She was definitely on top of all she needed to do for her area! Also, didn't know they sell alcohol now! They even have a bartender! I don't drink alcohol but I thought that was a cool option for my friends who have not needed or met Bill W. The food was fine. I had a mixture of items to eat: jerk chicken I'd give only 3 stars to, just dry; turkey and gravy and mashed potatoes was definitely 5stars; I ate a lot of macaroni and cheese because that was definitely an item that didn't come out of a box-well, maybe the elbow noodles did to start with, but only to start it! DELICIOUS!! I also had green beans 5🪅; I had fruit punch with dinner when I normally drink unsweetened tea, delicious drink for the evening! A friend of mine let me try the meatloaf she had, and if I wasn't trying to save room for dessert, I would have gone back for that also! The tossed romaine salad was perfect with a bit of tang to the dressing, the fruit was wonderful...And the peach cobbler was delicious! I added some vanilla ice cream to it and it was delicious! All the while, our server just kept everything orderly, picked up used plates when we put them aside, refilled our drinks before we needed to ask for it, and just a nice young lady all around. I have a hip that is giving me some problems. I know, I'm getting old! Don't grow old! It hurts, stay young as long as you can! So, we wanted to sit at a table where part of it wasn't a booth. No such luck! Everyone else though, loved having the option of a chair or the slide in booth. That was fine. It worked out! Check out the Golden Corral and let me know how it goes!

It's a buffet restaurant, where both good and bad food is served. It's a matter of choosing wisely, although sometimes you're mistaken. They give seniors a discount during the week, which is good.

Came here for Thanksgiving as it was just me and my wife this year. Over all the food was good, but whoever decided that carrots go in stuffing should be fired. Kinda ruined the dinner cause im a big stuffing guy and it kinda ruined my appetite when I ate some. Worst of all, the service wasn't that great. Had to keep asking for refills as the waitress kinda just didnt come around. One time, I waited so long, I just walked up to the waitress stand and asked for some water. She seemed to be servicing other tables regularly, but just didnt come to ours. My wife even asked for refills when I was in the bathroom and she never even came back. I know it was busy, but com'on....we will be back, but this visit wasn't the greatest.

Satisfactory experience, but, I suggest you stir your food a little more often. The top layers of certain items were drying out. Manager needs wear beard net/cover when behind the lines due to his long beard. Table staff SHOULD know some English before they're assigned to their positions. I speak Spanish but guaranteed, due to the demographics in the area, the majority of the people there don't.

Quiet, but the food was not like it used to be its burnt onto the pan or dried out, food that is cooked to order is jot cooked properly medium rare comes out medium well... unfortunately not like it used to be.

The waitress only came to our table 2x. I got up and got my own water refill. We were never offered rolls so I had to get them myself as well. The selection was small and the place was kinda dirty with food, trash,etc on the floors and tables. Definitely won't be back to this location

Today I visited the Pat Booker location 3/4/25. Lots of the items on the hot food bar were starting to form films on top for sitting too long. Some of the fruit was starting to dry out. It wasn't a good experience for me at all today. I go there for the amazing salad bar but today I barely ate any. I picked thru various items because I paid for it but I was really disappointed The chicken was so dry & the steak was charred and black

Never been here never coming back- my family and I came by after they picked me up at the airport while I was not hungry they weren’t so I planned to sit at the table with them, but not eat. Apparently this was a problem because it’s a rule “ set by the owner”. I’m dissatisfied to say that my family stayed because of grandma‘s hunger and I simply left to sit in the car. This is so stupid if I sat there and decided to eat, I would pay before. Also family said food wasn’t even good haha

Food alright, 1 star comes from the kitchen immediately canceling Uber orders after paying, this in turn causes money to take 7 to 10 days to be refunded. This is far from the first time, its constant. Obviously someone there is lacking the ability to turn off Uber printer that causes issues for countless people. Do better

I am very disgusted at the way the Manager Alicia treats their employees. I was having a good time until I saw how rude she was to my server who by the way my server got a 10/10 on experience. I am very honest and will not disclose the name of my server just bc I know how some management can take it personal w the employee.

I would say this was the worst meal I have ever had. I used to enjoy Golddn Corral but the last 2 years have ruined any fond memories. I had low expectations going in and they were not even met. Walking in there was a slow line, when I got to the register the clerk over looked me to talk to the group behind me. Saturday lunch was just under $21 without a drink. The building is small and feels dingy and cramped. The buffet was pathetic mostly fried foods the carved beef was dry and tough the steak tasted like the char deposits on the grill and the smell of propane. None of the sides tasted right and the cheese sauce was burnt orange and congealed. Even the desserts were pathetic the rice soggy treats especially. To finish it off I was only allowed a fork and a knife with no silverware available on the bar or with the plates. I would have asked my server except I only saw her the one time when she refilled my water. I will not be back to this location under any circumstance.

It was the small Golden Corral. No French, Catalina, dressing. The food was dry, old. We wait for the steak they wait for 15 minutes after the hour. To put the steaks on put fresh food. After 1 1/2 we got a call and had to leave. Asst.manager was OK and our service lady was good.

I hope the CEO of this company sees this message. My visit was very unpleasant. The food was dry, tasteless, and hot from sitting on the table for too long. It needs remodeling and the smell is unpleasant. I've been to much better places. I hope they pay attention to this.I could only eat salads, which was the only good thing there was, and a piece of chicken.

This review is specifically for the Universal City, TX. location. Lately the hot food is dry and cold, specially the soups, I asked the manager if they have fresh soup and he said no today until tomorrow, it was 3:00 pm., the potatoes on the beef stew were very old, dark colored . Last time it was a hair on the dressing, I told to the waitress and one of them removed the hair with a napkin and leaves the dressing on the salad bar. The steaks looks old and tasted like liver, they saved in a container with water and just warm it. There is several things wrong in this place. The restrooms are dirty . Very poor management. This things happened the last four times I’ve been there. Definitely we are not going back to this location.
