First experience there so naturally followed the country song and had Bourbon Street steak. It was well cooked. There were only 4 small pieces of mushroom on the plate. Potatoes advertised as garlic didn't really have garlic but we're still good. My boyfriend had the shrimp and chicken dish that was only $11! He said it was really good. We both had a cocktail that was well made and very tasty.

I would like to give the General Manager named Richard my Deepest and Sincerest Thank You for handling hundreds of Veterans and Families today on Veterans Day. They offered a free meal to us Veterans and a $5.00 Coupon for our next visit. Now... about Richard (GM) the Restaurant was totally packed with Veterans and families. When we arrived there was about 10 people ahead of us. We were seated within 15 minutes and our waitress was taking our order within 15 minutes of being seated at our table. Keep in mind that the Restaurant was packed to Full Capacity!!!! As soon as people left the tables and booths they were cleaned within minutes, so that they could seat people who were waiting. Richard (GM) kept walking around to check on all the customers and his Staff was friendly. I have Never been in a Restaurant that was packed to Full Capacity and got to a table in 15 minutes and placed my order within 15 minutes of being seated. Many Thanks to Richard and his Staff

Great service and food!! My Caesar salad was excellent and so was the tomato bisque soup!! I wish they had a soup and salad combo though. My family had chicken tenders dinner and chicken quesadilla salad. Everyone left full and happy. The manager was very friendly and checked on us.

We visited Applebee’s tonight, (12/22) and had such an amazing and attentive server named, Vaughn! He took the time to let my Autistic 6yo son order for himself. My son rattled his order off and got confused that he needed to order his drink, so he repeated his food order 3x before understanding. Vaughn patiently waited and then my son was so excited that he did it, our son reached up to give him knuckles and he didn’t hesitate for a second. Our food was brought out quickly and everything was delicious. Definitely recommend the North Utica, Applebees, especially if you have a loved one with a disability.

I went for dinner on Friday night and brought my 8 and 6yo nephews. We got greeted and seated right away. Our server Kristen was super sweet to the kiddos, she was attentive, she brought food out fast, and exactly as ordered. She even asked me first before giving the kids a soda refill. Thanks for that! Food was tasty, portions were perfect, especially for the kids and the kids meals were only $6.99! Great service, great food, and a great experience. Taking kids to a restaurant can be tricky, but this Applebee's made is fun, enjoyable, and worry free.

I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted, and she had no problem with giving me time to make my decision. It's definitely a good time to just sit and have a good meal. We be "Fancy Like" we had a great meal. My loaded potatoes were cold, but quickly replaced, while my husband's were hot. Our waiter Joe was funny, friendly, helpful. Service was quick and suggestions were helpful!

I swear this Applebee’s is better than the rest. At least the Wednesday crew which is when me and my girlfriend go. Food is always good, service is amazing, Joe is fantastic! When I go to other Applebee’s it’s just not the same.

I would have given it five stars, but for the following reasons; the table was dripping wet and we found her own napkins to wipe a drive, we asked for ketchup but then finally got up and went and got it ourself, the waitress actually put one of our four on three orders in with the appetizers. Now, for all the good reasons why I gave the restaurant 4 stars. The food was excellent. The food was served hot. There was a short wait to obtain a table. We were waited on promptly. The cost was very reasonable.

We stopped for a bite to eat after shopping. They were very short staffed so we waited a few minutes before the host came to seat us. There was another party waiting before us. The bartender waited in us. We were at a high top in the bar area. She was great. We got the 2 for 27. Food was a bit slow coming out. My steak ended up being well done, I asked for med rare. A manager came out to ask how things were. She compt my meal and brought out a whole new plate! I explained that it wasn't necessary but she insisted. She also offered us desert. This is the way you get return business! Everyone is short handed these days. My only real issue was that no one acknowledged us or anyone else that came in an was waiting to be seated. At one point I flagged an employee to alert her that there was a man and his daughter (in a wheel chair) waiting a LONG time and no one had spoken to them. The host caught that man as he wasn't heading out the door. Even when places a busy and short staffed, someone NEEDS to acknowledge customers!!

Not to bad. Steak was small for 20 bucks. Added shrimp. But I didn't like the fried red potatoes.

Servers were polite and the food was good but..... The wait time was ridiculously slow. I think a 45 minute wait for burgers is too long. It took at least 15-20 minutes for a standard side salad as well. To top it off the table that ordered after us received their food first and we had less people.

I am big on customer service. This place has gone downhill. First your host, while nice was too loud and interruptive. He kept interrupting our dinner wayyyyy too much. 2nd we waited for our food for 40+ min. Mind you we had to wait for the appetizer at least 20 min after ordering. 3rd took them 15 min or so to even acknowledge we were seated after arrival. While the food was good, thankfully I was able to cut my chicken with my fork bc we were not given a full set of utensils. I never got the broccoli I ordered and my dad never got his coleslaw and my mom never got her extra dressing for a salad she ordered. It wasn’t even busy. The restaurant wasn’t full. There should have been no reason we arrived at 4:10 and not leave until 6:38 and mainly bc we were waiting on our food. If this isn’t the place my dad wanted to eat for his bday (bc of location) we would have been at the Roadhouse. You have to do better AB. Although our young server was nice, over all our experience should have been much better.

I've never seen such slow service. Priscilla was our waitress. She was friendly, but extremely slow. We were seated quickly, but then waited probably 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. By the time the drink order was taken, we were ready to order everything, so we did it all at once. The food took probably close to 45 minutes to arrive. We were never offered drink refills, so when she brought our food out I asked for one, and my son asked for vinegar for his fish at thr same time. Neither one of those items ever came. Both tables on either side of us were also complaining about the insanely slow service. After being seated, and waiting an eternity, one woman actually got up and walked to the bar to put in her own drink order. The bartender then came and took their order, since there was little chance Priscilla would be doing it any time soon. After asking for the check, we waited probably 10 more minutes just to get that. The food was ok. Not great, but not terrible either. It was acceptable in quality and it did come out hot, which we were shocked by. We were traveling through and had decoded to stop at Applebee's for a reasonable meal. The stop ended up taking just under two hours. With not a single drink refill. I'm sure Priscilla is awesome at a lot of things, but waitressing isn't one of them. Her manager has failed her, by allowing her to be as slow as she is. Give her the training she needs, to improve. Otherwise, both she and the restaurant will continue to struggle.

Host was funny, warm and inviting as we were greeted. Servers were very good, food was good. Update: 1/10/2026 - Walked in, seated immediately. Cold air was rushing in underneath the window. Server was not attentive and seemed to not want to be there. Her child was at a table adjacent to us and she talked to her more than us. We were passing through for our annual vacation. After a stop at Bass Pro we figured we just have a quick dinner before going to the hotel for the night. That was a big mistake. It took our waiter Joe at least 10 minutes to greet us. After taking our order we didn't see him again unless we flagged him down at other table. It took over an hour to get our meals. Then we had to flag hom down again for the check.

Normally don't have a problem here and am very understanding since I've been in customer service for 20 years. But I recently took my parents out here with my family. We waited for quite a while for our food. Everyone's food was cold. My S/O had a skillet that was cold as well. My mother ordered a cheeseburger that was almost raw. the server was very apologetic and nice, but I feel something should've been done besides taking 10 dollars off. 90 dollars of food was cold. Not a good experience.

We went on a Friday around 6 pm. There was no wait for a table. It took about 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. We ordered our food at the same time, an appetizer and 2 entrees. The appetizer came out pretty quickly and it was fine. We asked for another sauce for the appetizer and a drink refill. The 2 entrees came out shortly thereafter and both entrees were lukewarm. We also didn't get the extra sauce or drink refill before the entrees came. The food was definitely not worth what we paid for it. We ordered honey pepper chicken and there was barely any honey pepper sauce on the chicken. I'm not sure if they are shorthanded but I'm starting to understand why they aren't busy on a Friday night.

I ordered one app and two tall beers initially. The good news first, that plate of nachos was very well done; the portions was good for two people and it wasn't short on cheese or toppings. It also found it's way to us hot. Second, kudos to Applebee's for offering Dos Equis on tap; that's all I drink at home. However, my only compliant was with the beer--chiefly the glassware. My first glass of beer was dirty. I didn't realize this until I finished it. I didn't want to make a scene because there was only one bartender, and a million patrons at the bar. The devil is in the details, if I can't trust my glass to be clean--how can I trust my plates and silverware to be clean? Do better...

Waitress was only seen 2 times. All you can eat wings was discouraged because of lack of service. Had to get our own ketchup, napkins, takeout containers, and never asked if we wanted more drinks.

Went to take my family out and everyone’s food was bad. Both burgers were soaked in grease and the fries were cold. STAY AWAY 2 adults 2 children around 6:30pm on a Friday night. Milkshakes no one could help her, anyway It wasn’t southern comfort. Someone is switching your bottles or making their own concoctions, or adding a cheaper liquor to a more expensive bottle to make a profit on their own….this was not SOCO by any means it they even poured it in front of us and had us try it….nope not it….yall should really check that out before there’s a larger problem with it than some random person giving a review….they let animals in, personal pets, not an ADA service dog, but good old Sally was able to bring her lap dog who begs for scraps and WALKED IT AROUND THE RESTAURANT. So up to this point the alcohol was bad, the lemonade was tasteless, there’s dogs roaming the aisles and I ordered the Sirloin medium rare, it came out black and blue…. Still cold on the inside…..I didn’t want to send it back at this point I was done. My significant other ordered the pretzel appetizer. He adds salt to everything…they were too salty for him! They have the regular larger white pretzel salt plus good old table salt on them. You could feel the grittiness of the fine table salt on them…..nothing went right the waitress was pleasant, but after all the complaints not one manager came to speak with us….just wanted to give an honest assessment of why to stay away

My family was all dressed up for Halloween and wanted some apps after trick or treating. Waited for 20 minutes to be seen by a server. I went to the bar to see if anyone was coming over. Then someone did, gave our entire order, and waited another 10 for our drinks. After an hour total I flagged the waiter and wanted everything wrapped to go because our food still wasn't out. No manager ever came to apologize. No one explained why the long wait after we were ignored. Horrible experience start to finish. You would think a family all dressed up for Halloween would draw attention. Not being ignored basically the whole experience.

Went here today for lunch. It was horrible service. I had a feeling it was going to be bad when there was no hostess up front to seat us. There was no one else waiting at the time. Than there was no glasses for our drinks to be served to us. Our drinks were served in paper cups. Ordered our food, it took 55 minutes for 2 grilled chicken salads to be served to us. Never never again will I patronize this Applebees.

Empty restaurant and Waited and not one server of the 6 standing there would sit us then we decided to sit ourselves since we were with small children at the door. We waited and no one came we went to the waitress asked for a menu and she said we would have to wait for menus for another 5 min since their waitresses were getting ready for a shift change. I’ve never heard of any place making you wait to sit and a longer wait for menus. 6 waiters just standing there. Won’t be going there last time I actually dined here the service was awful waitress with an attitude. If you want poor service go there. Out to the New Hartford location will go!

The absolute worst experience we’ve ever had!! We waited an hour to get any of our food and ended up taking it to go because we had very little time left to move our son in to his college dorm and really threw it out because it was terrible. The people who work there could not care less about the fact that we were even there! I’ve seen bad service but this was so much worse! Such a shame because we will be visiting there often and will never step foot in there again!! What a waste of time and money!!!!! I wish I had read reviews before going because it really ruined the last day we had with our son…so sad because this should have never happened! The staff there is completely useless!!

When the hostess sat us she was very friendly. We asked for a booth and she was very accommodating. The waitress was not so much. She took our order, served our food and that was about it. I called her over and asked her for another refill drink and that was it no drinks, didn't see her, the bartender stood talking to her friends at the bar. Never saw her making another drink except for her friends. This was at 8:30pm, there was not a lot of people there. The waitress never came back to see how we were doing. We paid the bill on the table top tablet less a tip and left.

Host sat us as soon as we went in. Waited about 15 minutes before flaming down the manager. Then we finally got our drinks and the food was bad. We always go to the Applebee's in herkimer and everything is great there but we will never go to the one in Utica again.

Hadn’t been to an Applebees in sometime and had seen a promo online so decided to stop for late lunch. Figured could catch the UFL game on ABC and try the promo. This location cannot pick up any ABC channel. Sat at the bar which turned out to be a huge mistake! The bartender was deep into a conversation with a couple who appeared to be regulars. She went on to complain about the company. They didn’t listen to her apparently and from the attitude she sure knew it all. From there as I waited for her to ask me if I wanted to order anything she want on to complain about being sick, kids and life in general. Actually was finally served by came to find out the GM. The food arrived and to be honest the chicken tenders were alright. The buffalo sauce I really enjoyed and fries were ok. The portion size was 5 smaller tenders and some fries and coleslaw. The bartender disappeared for about 15 minutes and the GM asked if I wanted another order. I was given an option to change to rib thingy or shrimp. I went with the tenders again and received 3 tenders, they were the same size as first order. When the bartender finally showed up I ordered another drink. The GM and bartender had a conversation about the regular customer ( the couple ) about only having one drink and leaving. I thought of course they left why would you want to pay to listen to someone whine! The bartender asked me if I wanted anything else and I thought I would try the shrimp. Tried them and they were disgusting but worse was the hair socked in grease under the fries. I almost puked so disgusted I was done. Called over the GM and was really disappointed by his lack of concern. I guess it must happen here quite often. Bottom line I will never be going back to an Applebees! My 1 star rating is based on service and food safety.

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We told hostess there were 4 adults & 1 toddler but we were seated in a booth. When we asked for a highchair was told all (3) were being used & was offered a booster seat multiple times even though we told our waitress that would leave one person with no where to sit. I suggested they move us to a corner booth but was told "it's dirty". They did eventually clean it & move us. Our drinks took about 20 minutes, mine 25 minutes. No straws. Not enough appetizer plates. Dirty plates & silverware. Chicken sandwich was slightly burnt, burger was salty, ribs were tough. Service was slow. I don't know if our waiter was new or overwhelmed but she definitely needs restraining. I will NEVER eat it this establishment again & will advice anyone else not to.

It just keeps getting worse. I don't knowvhow they are still in business. I would give service and food a 0 if I could for my last visit. I don't think I will ever go back to any Applebee's anywhere.

I've been ordering from this particular Applebee's for a while and the service gets worse and worse every time I go. I order a grilled chicken Caesar salad online every single time and this last time that I picked it up it took over 45 minutes to get. I will not be returning to get food from there. They either take way too long to prepare simple meals or they forget to include items that are supposed to be included.

Trash food, false prices advertised on doordash. Says 2/25 but it’s 28.60 before taxes.

Food was horrible. Nothing like the pictures. Burger had a couple beans on it. Disgusting

Food was good. However, we arrived at 11:05. No bartender, so we had to sit in the booth. No big deal. However, no one came to wait on us. I finally grabbed our own menus as the hostess stood there doing nothing. Had to ask for our order to be taken after waiting 15 minutes. Appetizers came out and as we sat there waiting wondering where our entrees were, the waitress who didn’t care to check on us asked if we wanted a check. Then waited for our burgers that were supposed to be medium rare. They were beyond well done. We were in Applebees for boneless wings and a burger with fries for one hour and 45 minutes. Never again.

Waited forever for our drinks , had to go too the bar and get them ourselves. Food was cold. We had all our drinks and food way before our silverware. I guess the waitress wanted us to eat like animals! She was very hard to find, a kind runner went and got them for us. We ordered the all you can eat wing special. They wouldn't put our order in until we finished our 1st meals...I'm I'm not a.child! But, I knew we would have to wait forever for the 2nd.order. if you don't want to honor the promo why promote it! Well, we waited forever for a 2 round of bar drinks! I hate to eat without a drink . Finally got the 2nd and the waitress. Brought it over! A light at the end of the tunnel,nope. 2nd round of wings were cold as ice! We will not be back again. This is the 2 nd time we received horrible service and food. Pretty sad that employees keep complaining about poor work pay or conditions. I think it's high time employers start complaining about horrible employees making good money driving menu prices up and killing businesses! This place will be loosing its lease very soon due to no profit! Oh, and our to go came in a plastic bag...I thought they are banned in NY!

Don't waste your time or money. If I could give no stars I would. Took over an hr to get our food. 3 tiny dried up tenders on a plate. At least the fries were good. Asked for another order took 30 minutes to get it. The wait staff was horrible can't remember what kind of drink or food we ordered. Ask for more chicken tenders 30 minutes later brings back shrimp. We just gave up paid and went home and made a sandwich. It's ridiculous to leave a place hungry. Won't be stopping here again

Worst place EVER !!!! Went twice this month and stood at the door with at least 8 others trying to be seated, ALL of us ended up leaving after 20-30 minutes, absolutely ridiculous

It took us 2 hours to get our food , it was freezing cold. I had two 8 year olds worst time ever

Worst service ever 😡. After 35 minutes they forget our appetizer. Look at this piece of burger looks like someone ate the other part, shrimp horrible too 😡😡😡😡. Is that Cole slaw or a side salad 🤦🏾‍♀️ The waiter don’t even check to see what u need, until you’re done with ya food of what u were able to eat

So we went in and it was fairly busy. Seated immediately by friendly host. Our waiter took longer than usual to greet. Brought out drinks took order. Salads came out longer than usual asked for extra ranch. Nope. Another server we asked nope. Finally asked the host. Came out. Sandwich came server didn't bring it, never checked on us, dirty salad plates sat entire meal. Manager came over we explained the problem, to which he went on about his history, his dining experience, his stories about everything except rectifying the situation. Wait for it. He walks away, the manager, and doesn't remove the salad bowls that were right next to his hands. Server finally brings bill, doesn't ask if we want dessert, coffee which if he was smart, to up his check average, just drops check and runs off. Come on people, do better. Or train longer. Zero steps of service were met. Never again. Shane because we love the food.

Poor management today. Store didn’t have heat and never once saw a manager engaging the guests. Server was great, food was good. Managers need to be in front of the problem not hiding from it.

The host was very rude when we walked in. We arrived at 7:20pm, and it has been over an hour and have only received appetizers. Server is very nice and doing her best. There are so many empty tables, not sure what the issue is with the food taking so long. Do you guys slaughter your meat on site in back of the restaurant? It's taking so long, that i could have went home to eat and I have a 2.5 hour drive back. We watched the host disappear and the poor bus boy look for her like a lost puppy dog. Felt very bad for him, with his big eyes looking very confused. This employee of the month has dark hair and glasses, name started with an E, not sure though. When she was at her post she was on her cell just chilling. Im sure she was doing some sort of important Applebee's business. Maybe by the time im done writing this the food might arrive. Looks like the host just left for the night....maybe if my family were to go out and hunt squirrels in the parking lot we would eat dinner sooner. Ps; finally got food, stake was a hocky puck, might take it to the next game to have it singed......

I work up the road at Wolfspeed and we decided to set a to go order from this location. Unfortunately, we should have utilized one of the many, as accessible establishments that reside within 10 minutes of this location. I ordered 2 Carmel apple pecan dessert for myself and a coworker, my supervisor ordered chicken parmesan fettuccine. 1 of the desserts was supposed to have extra caramel and pecans, I paid extra and neither one contained any pecans at all. I saved mine to dissect with someone when they open because I'm sick of this service. Aside from the mistake to my order, my supervisor said his chicken was pink and under cooked. So you have undercooked, possibility sickness inducing food and flat-out robbery. Aside from the mistakes to all three orders, I waited an extra 15 minutes for orders that were reported as completed and ready by 8:20pm. I was left waiting until almost 8:40pm... whats worse is it was for some breadsticks. So you guy's can't cook the entree correctly, but spend extra time on the side?... With all that aside.. just the atmosphere brought out by the staff is sad and depressing. I walked in and knew based on the interaction w/ the guy doing the seating, I knew my order was effed. Servers and wait staff just wandering and unhelpful. I had 3 people ask what else I needed and only 1 seemed interested in helping. an older lady. The rest were passing cash around openly back and forth in front of me. Like right there, move my hand to scratch my nose and would've knocked buddies stack down. This isn't my first bad experience from this Applebees. This one specially, this is however my first review. After 4 attempts I say save your money, Bella Regina, Franco's, Big Jay's and a handful of other sit down restaurants are within 3 miles of this place, and all have offered a far better experience at the same or slightly increased cost. I'll pay the extra 5 bucks next time. UPDATE::: 11/12/25........ The general manager reached out to me.His name is Rich.. A very nice gentleman that not only assured me that the staff concerns were being handled. But also reached out to extend an olive branch and gain a better understanding of what had happened. Very nice gentleman, seems extremely knowledgeable and caring about what he does. In all honesty, because of him reaching out, I may give them another chance.

Food was served cold after over an hour. Waitress didn't ask how it was til about halfway in, and we explained it was cold, but did not have time to wait for it to be remade. Management refused to comp drink/app/anything, stating that half the meal was eaten. We had other commitments, and could not stay long enough for them to get it right the second time. Have better customer service.

Can't really review the food. We were in town for a concert. Went in and waited 5 minutes to be seated and waited again for a table to be cleaned which is funny - the place was almost empty. Finally ordered our dinner - waited over an hour - no food. Should a Burger and a Salad take an hour ? Asked for food to be packed to go - still nothing - waited another 10 minutes and nothing. Just being told "it was coming" ! Where was it coming from ? Had to walk out with no dinner - but the concert was great. If you are hungry - go to McDonald's - you'll starve here !

I placed an online order. When I picked it up they told me they had no plastic silverware. How am I supposed to eat a to go order without utensils. When I opened my bag, they had given me chicken nachos instead of the beef that I ordered. When I went back to the restaurant the lady was very rude and said that that's what I ordered. I did not. I will never go back to this plane again. Took them over 20 minutes to remake that portion of my order. By then, the rest of my order was cold. Horrible experience
