Lucille's has decent food, pedestrian cocktails and mediocre service. The brisket burnt ends are sizable but not much flavor. Yet they have the best gumbo I've had in years. Excellent place. A little Texan feeling with a family atmosphere. Nice and quiet with a sports bar. Exactly what one needs after a long day of work. Starting from biscuits to onion strings to an American burger to bacon burger to honey glazed salmon to half a rack of ribs. The side veggies were very delicious cooked just right. The ribs were slightly over cooked but still great. Would come here again. Also, the staff is very nice and friendly with no attitude of any sort.

After out last visit Chris Gorman the Sr. Director of Operations apologized and made things right by offering a $50 gift card for a return visit. Even though I missed him on my visit I appreciate the timely phone call and his attention to detail even recalling the table we were at on our last visit. This time around the food was great came out fast and our server was attentive and made quite the difference! We recommend trying lucilles out the st Louis ribs were great! (Old Visit)Came in for the Thursday brisket special and left extremely disappointed. From the service to the food. Once we were seated our waitress was slow to serve and when she did it was often too late to matter after waiting for a bit our food came out before biscuits we ordered and what was presented to us was a small portion of brisket that was so it was hard to pull apart to eat and some sides which were ok. After finishing eating we waited for our waitress but decided to pay the check with the kiosk while we waited for desert. After paying and waiting for desert our waitress came by to say she hadn't entered the desert that was included in the Thursday special and wanted up to pay extra to get what we paid for! We decided to walk out without our desert. For $70 I expect a lot more.

Not the best bbq in town but wortg the visit and the sauces are good. I do think every worker in the building almost came over and checked on us. It was about a every five minutes We had our table checked to see if we were okay. Love the atmosphere and vibe of all the workers.

I had not been here in a while but I went this past weekend with my family. They have really good deals and the server was so kind and attentive. I was just not happy with my food I ordered the pulled pork with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese and the meat’s taste was okay but I didn’t want to return it. Also, my mom ordered the banana pudding and it was good but way too sweet.

Tonight was my first time dining here. I had the 2 item combo, with pulled pork, beef brisket, loaded mashed potatoes, and sauteed vegetables.The brisket was very dry had to add bbq sauce just to make it enjoyable. My favorite of the combo was the pulled pork, super tasty, moist, and full of flavor. My Son had the 3 item combo with chicken, brisket and jalapeño sausage. The beans had just the right amount of spice. Our Server was Danny, He was super knowledgeable and on top of everything.

Very chill spot, with colorful decor, bluesy music playing, full bar, and good BBQ. Start off with the biscuits were really good. They're sweet, as a heads up, served with a light creamy apple butter. Also had the baby back ribs barbecue sauce is good and sweet as well. Ribs cooked just right and were tender. Another highlight was the fried chicken breasts with the country gravy. Mac and cheese was good, just regular. Interested in trying the special version. Some of the food that I got to try and I felt was not as good: collard greens. Collard greens for braised correctly, and come with bits of pork, however they were a bit too salty. Accompaning guest had a custom margarita, which was served in a tall mug. 😁 All in all pretty fair spot for chain BBQ get together.

So what in the world is a vegetarian doing reviewing Lucille's smokehouse barbecue, and how did it get such a good rating from me? These are the questions. I hope to answer in this unexpected review. Lucille's has never been on my radar as a place to go but an organization I'm involved with was having a fundraiser here and I like to support. I saw there were some vegetarian options on the menu and thought at least I won't starve there. First of all, they bring you a basket of biscuits I've written reviews of breakfast and biscuit restaurants all over the country and go through many phases where I'm pretty sure most of my body is made up of biscuit. These biscuits were fantastic, slightly sweet, but not overly so, delicious with the butter they provided, and perfectly flaky in the exact way that biscuits should be. I would literally come to Lucille's just to eat these biscuits. (Since they give them to you for free, I'm not sure that's allowed… But I'm sure going to try.) I'm also a big fan of bourbon and whiskey, both neat as well as in cocktails. Their bar was well stocked with all kinds of different whiskeys and bourbons. You don't normally see at a bar. Plenty to try there, and I would definitely go back just to sit at the bar and drink whiskey. (Maybe that's enough to get me free biscuits. I had the Kentucky cooler cocktail kind of a lemony Swedish bourbon situation, which was truly delicious from first sip all the way through to the end. Alarmingly easy to drink and not sickly Sweet like some places to their cocktails. I got a couple of sides for my main including hot honey. Cauliflower bites, they're served like little wings with a tasty bread, coating them and a super delicious hot honey to dip them in. It seems like every place is offering some kind of cauliflower situation to vegetarians… This was one of the best ones I've had. Truly a southern dish that fit right into the rest of the menu. The other side I got was country fair corn pudding topped with butter and, as a vegetarian, I'm not limited to sides either… though there are plenty more of those to choose from that suit, my diet. They've also got a "Callin' All Vegan's Back Porch Bowl." – not 100% my jam, but it's nice that they offer it. As a fan of the food and vibe of Southern cuisine, I do wish there was a vegetarian version of their braised greens, and I would be over the moon if they found some way to do a plant-based meat barbecue situation of any kind… That would wildly seal the deal. But they've also got okra cheddar cornbread loaded, mashed potatoes, roasted Street, corn, garlic, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and a few more, so the idea that I might starve here is just not a possibility. I would definitely come back to Lucille's to drink, eat sides, and enjoy those fine, fine biscuits. Well done Lucille's, you made this vegetarian pretty happy. Generous serving. I got full from the appetizers and biscuits. Their biscuit is one of the best I ever had! I enjoyed the loaded fried green tomatoes. The jambalaya was really good. I liked it, but for my husband, it was fiery hot. I didn't enjoy the SC combo much. I liked the shrimps and grits. The corn pudding was bomb. Excellent service by Madison.

My wife and I decided to try Lucille's as this franchise doesn't exist where we live. The restaurant was clean and we were seated immediately. Our server was pleasant and gave us some recommendations. We ordered the cracked out deviled eggs, which were a little salty, which I like, but my wife wasn't a fan. My wife ordered the salmon and I ordered the gumbo. The salmon looked over cooked and dry. That could've been a consequence of the sauce being on the side rather than the salmon being basted in it. Also, the sides that were brought out weren't what she ordered, but they were eaten nonetheless. The sides were bland and not seasoned well. I also ordered the gumbo. With gumbo, you'll either have a flavorful bowl or you'll have the kind where the roux is bitter. Unfortunately, what I received was the latter. It's the chance you take, especially when ordering gumbo from a barbecue place (I know). The gumbo was bitter and the proteins that made up the gumbo were small and oftentimes unrecognizable (the shrimp were diced into small pieces. The sausage was almost non-existent). I'd almost revisit the recipe entirely. Only reason we'd go back is to actually try the barbecue. Seeing the huge smoker in the restaurant was pretty cool.

Hard no. I ordered the BBQ meal, I got three small pieces of brisket and 2 chunks of questionable "pork belly". Very disappointed. The table was sticky and gross. The whole place is ran by teenagers who have no shame interacting with each other in front of guests saying "brooooo" literally every other word. Definitely not worth the price.

My last take out order was HORRIBLE. I’ve had take out several times before. The quality is not always consistent but this is one of few bbq restaurants in the area so I keep giving it a try. On my last visit I spent $50.91 for a combo dinner. I ended up throwing ALL of it away. The chicken and brisket was so overcooked I couldn’t chew it. The braised greens were so salty I couldn’t swallow one bite. I threw everything away and decided that was the last time I would try Lucille’s again. I very rarely write a review but this time I hope this will cause some improvements in the food quality so others can have a better experience
