After a long day at Magic Mountain we chose this Tommy’s because of the stellar reviews not just of food but the service and they were right on every account! Delicious, perfect blend of hamburger and chili! They really went above and beyond even after we left the restaurant because we accidentally left our camelback backpack which the manager kept safe and we didn’t notice it missing until we went home to AZ the following day. It had my daughter’s medicine and clothes and other things. We were so stressed (even though we know it was our fault and it’s only stuff) and when we called looking they knew exactly and they even shipped it to us! Seriously I was blown away!!! Jonathan the manager is an actual SAINT! I cannot say enough good about the crew at this location!

It's hamburgers the way they are supposed to be. They are open 24 hours and still around and seems there is always a line of hungry people. There is only one reason for that. It's good and with all these fast food cooperations raising prices to 10 bucks or even 20 bucks a burger. They are still in the affordable and at about 6 or 7 bucks for an amazing chili chili cheese burger

The guy taking out order names Johnathan was super nice and friendly and attentive! Seriously, like this place, the vibe was incredible. Food was delicious and staff seemed to be having a good time but also doing their jobs efficiently! Kudos to this whole crew for just being so damn awesome! I don't live in the area, but if i did. Never had a burger with chili on it before, but I must say, absolutely amazing. Service was quick and superb, the guy taking orders was quick and efficient and food came out hot. Absolutely delicious and would recommend. I would eat here again.

Having spent the year in the Midwest with family, I couldn’t wait to get my fix!! Rolled in at around 8:00 pm in a Wednesday and it was AWESOME!!! Greeted by great staff and as always the food rocked! Thanks Mr Koulax!!! R.I.P. sir!!!

Well, maybe they read my review many years ago, which was not so good. This time, however, it was fantastic. I asked for extra chili and grilled onions...they nailed it! They left one end of the wrapper open and overfilled it with chili, just the way i love it. Excellent job on turning things around~

As much as I love oregon cuisine it just can't come close to California. Stop at one of my favorite spots to enjoy a sloppy chillie burger. The chillie is phenomenal and makes your tummy very happy. If we had one in oregon I bet it would be successful. If your ever in California you need to stop a Tommy's Burgers

I had never been to Tommy's and was told to make my way over. I got there and was greeted nicely and my food came quick. The first bite of that burger was amazing. I finished it and almost went back for more. I see myself coming back pretty consistently.

Best Experience EVER! My hubby and I went here for a late night dinner last night at 10 pm. Being the end of a holiday weekend they were super busy but way busier than we’ve ever seen. Every table was full and the drive through line was long. We placed our order and found a spot and settled in for what was a surprisingly short wait considering the sheer volume of people. It was freezing in there. No doubt the small crew of what looked like 3 people were busting their buns to help everyone and I’m sure they were sweating. As I looked around I saw that it wasn’t just me who had put on a jacket. I went up front to ask if they would please turn off the air conditioner- and they did!! Then Wow! Our order came out fast and fresh and honestly was the best Tommy’s we’ve had since the 90’s. Being here on vacation and getting to enjoy an awesome chile burger and chile fries was everything. As we finished and got ready to leave I noticed that the restaurant was now mostly empty and the drive through was cleared out. I went up front to thank the crew, they really knocked it out of the park. The two other remaining families up front agreed with me which lead to a full 30 second standing ovation for this small crew!! They totally killed it!! Thank you to Jonathan, Jacob, Jose & Edwin! These are the Memorial Day hero’s of Tommy’s - thank you guys for your service!!

It is NOT a gourmet spot. This is the definition of comfort food at its finest. You don't come here for the healthy options or any of that. This is the "I'm gonna eat it and put myself in a food come and enjoy my nap" food. Been going for over 25 years and still does not dissapoint!

One of the best reasons to come to Southern California is to stop at Tommy’s. The Tommy’s on The Old Road is always serving up the original Chili Cheese Burger and great service. The team here never misses a beat!

The original, and probably still the best chili burgers around. Consistently good food, hearty chili burgers and decent fries. Very much a Los Angeles and southern California institution! I've been coming to Tommy's for nearly half a century and it's still as good as I remember it was as a kid

I look for how has the Best Chili Dog's NO can compete Chili Frys the same usually I'll take Home Grew up in San Fernando the only other place that compete would of been Danny's Dog's closed in the 70s alway Cruising the Boulevard.

Love me a Tommy's burger every now and then. Also they've been running some great deals. I have proven to my whole family that if you feel like your starting to get sick eat a Tommy's burger with chili and woof down a few of those peppers and it will cure what ails you. No lie it really works. Even my daughter who is not a huge Tommy's fan will ask me to get it when she's not feeling well.

If you want a real chili burger, this is the spot. The burgers are juicy, the chili is delicious and messy in the best way, and everything just tastes right especially the breakfast burritos!!! The people make it even better. There's a middle-aged hispanic woman who is very kind and welcoming. A younger Hispanic man in the morning thats friendly and very helpful and polite. And a chucky hispanic lady with glasses who's super kind and makes you feel comfortable ordering. I always come at rush/ lunch and they are always there ready for me unfortunately though I haven't seen much of the chunky woman with glasses. Hopefully all is well with her.

No other fast food joint will have better chili cheese fries than Tommy's. Took 1 start off for the service. Service was a little slow and questionable. Used the drive-through and paid with credit card. Not sure if this is normal for Tommy's, but the cashier took the credit card and held onto for a good few minutes.

Always feels like they are way too busy! My family loves chili fries and when they want chili fries, they want Tommy's. We do not usually eat there. I do not eat the chili because I am vegetarian but the steak fries are tasty! This is mostly a special once in a while treat for them.

Food was just okay, the caliente burger wasn't too spicy and maybe I just missed the point of the whole place. Was a messy eat and ended up with a stomach ache. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating though!

My second time having Tommy's chili burger.. the last one was probably 5 years ago.. it was tasty, slightly hot but not too hot.. I really liked how the potatoes absorbed the flavor and were slightly crunchy. The double cheeseburger was good as well, though if you plan to take a combo.. note that you'll probably won't be able to finish all for your food since it's heavy and greasy.. but yammy heavy and greasy! 😋 The only reason I don't give a 5star is because I don't have enough experience with chili burgers.

I liked this place but there were just some things about the food that were off, like my dad got the cheese chili fries and one of the fries were still frozen. Also the cheese on my chili cheese fries were not even melted fully. The chili was good but could've been better. The service was very good and the atmosphere of the place was for the most part clean. 3 stars

I so hate to only give 3 stars, but when I looked at their menu prices, the meal deal you have to know about, and ask for was $7.80 for a double chili cheeseburger, regular fries and large drink. Individually they added up to $19. It feels a lot like bait and switch. $4.35 for a large soft drink? I went through the drive thru previously a few days before and ordered: 1 single chili cheeseburger, 1 tamale with chili and 2 chili fries (no drinks) and it added up to $28. Are you kidding me? I love Original Tommy’s and visit whenever I am in the area, but the cost is way out of line. So tired of corporate greed and at the expense of underpaying the employees and ever shrinking serving sizes, I will only be indulging if I know of a special. Having the app helps to be aware. I visit LA about every other year and one of the things I make a point of doing is eating at the Original Tommy's. This was the first time I ate at this one and I have to say that it was not what I expected. I usually go to the Roscoe & 405 and sometimes the Rampart locations. This location served a conspicuously corporate looking and tasting burger. I got my usual double-double and it was "nicely" served with nothing spilling out the sides. Just a small dollop of chili and a normal slice of tomato. The chili was just warm and the cheese didn't melt. I got a chili tamale too. It also was underwhelming. The tamale itself reminded me of the kind you get in a can. Not worth the $6. I hope this was just a bad timing or location experience. Next time I'll try one of my usual locations, it better be good!

Never heard of this chain, but I guess it’s an institution? Tried the #1 dbl cheeseburger, fries, medium drink. Also got a chili tamale. The burger was pretty tasty with two thin patties. The chili was gooey and oily. The chili fries were also smothered in soft gooey chili and drowning in oil. I did like the thick, soft French fries with plenty of potato in every bite.

A little disappointed because they only serve beef patties, no chicken nor turkey options. Burgers are messy but if you love chili, this is the place to go. Burger had ALOT of mustard on it. Fries were thick cut and hot. Ice cream cone was tasty.

As someone from NorCal visiting the area, I had medium high expectations for this place based on Google maps reviews. I tried the basic chilicheese burger, fries and shake. Everything had "medium" flavor and granted to food was inexpensive, do not go here if maximum flavor food is your goal. While the items are inexpensive, you get what you pay for and I will make zero effort to return. I ask, rhetorically, how did this SoCal chain become popular with bland offerings?

My partner has been coming to Tommy's for most of his life, it has warm memories of his uncle taking him for tamales and Tommy burgers. I was looking forward to trying it after hearing about how GREAT it was. Maybe you had to grow up with it. The burger was good, the hotdog itself was clearly a good quality tasty dog. Where it fell short for me was the chili on everything. I found it incredibly oily. The staff were very friendly, the place was clean.. I may or may not return but I will not be getting chili on any of my stuff.

Definitely way too greasy at times. If you’re in the mood for late nite chili it’ll hit the spot but I’d say it’s mediocre at best.

They will forget you if you dine-in. I like chili cheese fries as much as the next guy, but these are the worst. It's just a can of chili on some unseasoned fries with a slice of american cheese. I like the atmosphere, it feels very classic. Although a good atmosphere doesn't make food good.

The Chili is very expensive for the serving size and it is very thick and more like beans in a burrito. The milk shakes are definitely worth the price and size you get for them. Overall the cashier and atmosphere is decent and nice but I wouldn't say the food is world famous by any means.

Food was cold and dry. Maybe will have a better experience on another visit.

I can't say that the food was any good. I ordered a chilli dog, chilli burger, and chilli tamala; only took a bit of each thing and threw it all away. It was disgusting. My husband and I got out of six flags and decided to go to tommys We waited literally for an hour in the drive thru line just as we got to the window they told us they”were closed due to maintenance” . They had us wait an hr for nothing when it was still 2 hrs before closing time. Please don’t waste your time here

I came here at 12:30, a full hour and a half before they were supposed to close, and they told me the drive thru was closed even though there were still cars actively in the line. The store hours say they are supposed to close at 2 but they told me they have to shut down because of “maintenance”.

AND..I LOVE Tommy's but this place does not know how to make the chili at all! Disappointed since I don't live in CA anymore. Waste of money as well. Will stick to Chino.

We walked in at 7:30 PM (they close at 8), were told they were out of fries and hot dogs, and then rushed through our order. When our burgers came out at 7:45, we were told to leave the dining area and sit outside because the manager wanted the store closed and floors cleaned. Kicking paying customers out before closing time is unacceptable. Clearly this location cares more about clocking out early than serving customers. Worst experience — will never return.

The lettuce was thicker than the beef patty! Everything was, the onion slice, tomato and bun. It was like a veggy sandwich with a hint of meat. On top of that the fries were just barely cooked, not a place I will revisit. Not sure what the hype is about.

I had a really disappointing experience at Original Tommy’s in Valencia. The fries were undercooked and honestly pretty inedible. While waiting for my order, I could see into the kitchen and it looked pretty dirty, which was already concerning. What made it worse was seeing a heavyset short Hispanic with glasses handling food with no gloves while yelling at the other workers. The whole atmosphere felt chaotic and uncomfortable. On top of that, the service wasn’t very good. The staff seemed disorganized and not very attentive. For the quality of the food and the overall experience, the prices felt extremely overpriced.
