GREECE 🇬🇷 Excerpt from Eat the World NYC: If you are cruising east down the Sunrise Highway just outside of New York City, it is not hard to find simple Greek fare. Plug that into Google Maps and an array of options are presented. But there is one small gem that stands out from the diners and gyro spots, located on a corner just one block south of the thoroughfare. What also stands out is the story of its owners, more recent arrivals than many Greeks in New York. The husband and wife who own the shop left Greece during the economic crisis that began ten years ago, leaving behind their restaurant in the north of the country that they had run for 25 years. After a few years in their new country, the couple decided to use their skills again and The Greek Pie Factory was born in June 2015. Although everything here is fresh and made daily, thankfully they put the reference at what they are best at right in the name.
Small moms and pops shop. When we came today there was no line. There was a variety of pies available as well as other items made to order. We had a chicken-spinach-feta pie and chicken gyro. Pie was nice and crispy and gyro was made to hat we wanted with generous amount if chicken. We have enjoyed it and will come again.
Amazing food! The chicken is good and the kebabs but the star is the homemade pies! For $3, they are a steal! French fries were ok though. Definitely worth coming to if you’re looking for someplace to eat while you’re here!

VERY good take out! A hidden gem! My kid loves it. Clean, plastic wrapped to keep customers safe and all wore masks. I'm so happy I found this place. Prices are good. Ingredients are fresh and traditional. Greek beans and rice was great. Pies were awesome. Will definitely come back!

Husband and I went there 1st time on Saturday. We've passed this place numerous times and decided to give it a try. What a surprise. The food is outstanding and the prices are excellent. Ordered lemon chicken with potatoes and salad. They also gave us rice. Everything was very fresh and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be going back. Very nice owner too.
Tried the Greek pie factory last night....really good, my neighbor turned me on to this place a few days ago... Pleasantly surprised...I had the stuffed pepper with meat, chicken feta and spinach pie, and a huge Greek salad..all very good..living within walking distance of the factory it's perfect for quick dinner or lunch. Pretty extensive menus so looking forward to trying more entrees...yes 5 star place in my opinion
I walked in on a whim as I was passing by and took home a menu. This is not am eat in establishment although they do have 2 picnic tables outside. I wound up ordering chicken souvlaki dinner, lemon chicken dinner, lamb gyro on pita and a lamb/beef gyro platter. We picked it up. All the food was fantastic! The lemon chicken could have had more lemon but we had rice that was excellent, lemon potatoes the best I've had and small salads very tasty! We then finished it off with a baclava and bougusta both delicious. I am not Greek but my family all loved their meals. And the price was amazing!
I can eat here every day. These guys are the best. Every thing you eat here will be amazing. Give this place a heads up. Everything is made hot, nothing is sitting around cold and reheated. Great food, great staff. Truly my favorite greek spot on long island.
wow! a real hidden gem! went there for the chicken soup, a greek salad and some lemon potatoes. Pricing on point, service top notch and food was fresh! I'm so happy I stopped by. I drove by all the time and decided tonight was the night.. and I didn't not regret that stop at all! Will be back soon. SUCH A GEM.
Great authentic Greek food. We tried the pork and onion pie, spinach and feta and the owner through in an apple pie for no charge, they were all very good and for $3 each they were huge....also had the warm feta and tomato dip with home made pitas also amazing.....very inexpensive and great quality food, friendly owner, all reasons to check them out .
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. You walk in and it looks like a shoe repair shop. I had the chicken souvlaki platter with Greek salad and lemon potatoes. The lemon potatoes were Greek and so was the tziki sauce. The price was right and so was the food. I definitely recommend it.
The food quality is awesome. I eat lunch here pretty often an have never been disappointed. Better than any other Greek place in VS. The owners had a restaurant in Greece before this, they're very friendly.
Diamond in the not so rough burbs of the Queens/Nassau border. Given a choice I could eat Mediterranean food everyday. The Greek Pie Factory is now on the list of where to get it. I typically drive to Bayside and Astoria to get really great Greek food... The GP Factory has just saved me miles and gallons of fuel. I had the meatball platter with white sauce today and it turned out to be a lot more food than I expected, especially considering what I paid. The food was really good; they gave me meatballs over rice with a pretty big side salad, bread, and potatoes. The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is that it's not exactly suited for dine-in customers (no parking, no restroom, few tables...). It's perfect for carry-out, though.
