I love their crispy chicken!! IMO, they serve up the perfect chicken tender! Hubbs and I both had the tender basket. One of us got the corn fritters/corn bites, and the other got the jalapeño bites. Both sides were really good. All the food was really fresh and hot! Hubbs was thrilled to see they had a chocolate chip cookie on the menu, and he said it was good. I picked up the state fair mini funnel cake. It was the crispiest funnel cake I've ever had. It was tasty, and it was the perfect size - we even shared it! The restrooms were clean, although I was surprised to see a single bathroom for each of sex. The restaurant itself is beautiful and looks relatively new. The only negative thing was that most of the tables were dirty, with visible crumbs on them. However, there were perhaps 3 people working the lunch rush, so I can't really fault them for that. And they were really nice, so....dirty tables forgiven!!! We were able to sit at a clean table, and they were cleaned before we left.

The chicken is not to bad here. They are always running out of stuff. Their drinks are also a hit and miss. Plus they’re pricy for a fast food place.

I used to tell everyone that Golden Chick is the best for fried chicken and tenders..but its really hard to give them 3star now! Food quality is bad now a days and customer service was never worth mentioning. Just ordered some fried chickens and tenders, and they gave me all dried up chickens..tenders were hard and Fried chicken was soggy!! I know it was sitting under the warmer for a long time. Expected much better from my favorite chicken place..I will start looking for something new I guess! 😔

Went at a slower time so the chicken was merely warm, not hot, since they weren't having to cook as often. Also seemed a little more oily than normal. Service staff was friendly and efficient. Value to cost isn't in line, my opinion. If the food was amazing, the cost would be appropriate, however, this is average and comparable to other fast food quality.

Drive thru very rush. Couldn't make my order like I wanted. I wanted 3 pieces roasted with thigh, leg and breast. I got 2 wings, thigh and a breast. I don't care for wings. Face to face the lady attitude wasn't cheerful more like rush me out of the drive thru.

Mindful Billing

When I arrived at golden chick on 1/13/2026, about 7:30, I observed several issues. First off, I stood there and had to ask to have my order taken. Once I placed my order it was interesting to watch the curly headed girl by the register, talking and laughing with her friend, both leaning over the counter, scrolling on an iPad, talking something about graduation. It appeared the teenage boy with curly hair was the only other staff working. Unfortunately, I was not the only one to witness this, as there was another family already eating. I would definitely think this situation warrants some attention, as I would like to think Mr. Morgan would not approve of this to be the face of his establishment. Thank you.

Just facts: mobile order at 230pm for a pickup at 6pm. Order was not ready till 642pm. 8 other customers ordered in store and received food before my order was completed. After asking about my order at 630pm, said waiting in bread to finish and be 2 more minutes. Get home and missing 1 family mash potatoes and 1 side of Mac and cheese. Called to speak with manager and said she is busy and hung up on me. I'll let you decide if this is good service.

I'd give Golden Chick Van Alstyne zero stars if I could. The Golden Chick in Van Alstyne is without a doubt the slowest and least accurate place ever. Placed our order, which we had to repeat it six times and was then asked to pull around and park. Almost 30 mins later, we still didn't have our order, although 3 cars that came after us had already left. Took the receipt inside and was treated like we had 3 heads and were told we'd have to wait for them to drop the chicken. Please don't waste your time or money here.

Fish is always fresh. Customer service always nice! Update...visited yesterday after not going for couple months. Look like new people working there Service was terrible and my catfish was fried to hard to eat!!

I knew as soon as I ordered that this was going to happen. I have seen it before. The order taker did not repeat the order back to me. The screen beside the order microphone did not show my order at all. And when I got to the window and asked for the order to be repeated back to me, surprise, surprise, the order was not accurate. The order taker did not mention that my drink should not have ice, like I ordered. He missed the extra gravy like I ordered. He missed the fries should be extra crispy like I ordered. After he remade my drink (this time without ice), and after he reassured me that they would get the extra crispy fries and extra gravy, he handed us the order and we went home. My fries were not extra crispy and the extra gravy was missing. I would strongly advise that you check every thing and make sure they supply it exactly like you ordered. If you get the server that I got, likely you won't. This occurred on Sunday, Mar 9, 2025 at 1:10pm in Drive Thru.

Every time i’m come to this location. Always have to come back or just be missing items. This time could not even get them to charge me for the correct order and still missing items. Looks like this location needs a manager or and adult cause these young men and women cannot get it done. This is the closest location and that is still 35 min away. Will be the last time i ever give this location my business. I get that is just food but as a paying customer, you still don’t get what you pay for. Food is great if you can get can your order. Thank you for another and the last disappointment from your location!

Mediocre food. But the real reason for the rating is that this establishment does not have internet! Who doesn't have internet these days? This place! No need to come back until you have internet.
