They have excellent food! I especially love the calamari and their fish tacos. The bartender Janette is really friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Springbok!

This undoubtedly is one of the finest pubs in LA the lady the behind the bar is very charming and knows her job very well the bar menu has a very wide range. On the particular day we had fish and it was undoubtedly the best meal I had in any pub in La for the six weeks that I was there. It is also very close to a great public amenity the lake Balboa Park

It's dark all day unless you sit outside, but I would go there anytime I have a chance. Bring sunglasses and put them on when you walk outside after being in there for a while. The peri peri sauce is the favorite. Chicken peri peri is a must. They have a jukebox, pool table and a other game I did not check out. The staff is extremely kind and happy. I would definitely recomend it.

I am so incredibly comfortable here they do show the Dodger games which is great and they do have the Pay-Per-View Sports they have happy hour which is food and drinks and I absolutely love the staff. The bar staff which includes Jeanette the manager Chantal Lindsey and Donnie are the best. What's a useful about this place is the staff is very kind and treat you like family.

I love this place! Not only does it have a nice bar and great food, but more importantly they have a full comedy club in the back! I was able to see comics I’ve seen before perform at the comedy store tell jokes here for free in a well produced show. Great compliment to any dining experience!

I absolutely love this place I've been here about two times. I've tried the hot wings and the fries they are very crispy and tender in the middle and not too spicy. The outside seating area is beautiful and very spacious. Great atmosphere and staff.

Their wings are really good, my friends have gotten the chicken salad and it looks delicious, I had the fillet mignon sandwich with fries and it didn't disappoint.

I always have fun going to this bar, great customer service and atmosphere, Oh and also food is delicious.

This place has become like a second home. I love coming here and never get sick of it. Amazing food, amazing people, amazing times.

After another stint in the valley for a few days, I stopped at the Springbrok to catch a lunch and some of the game for The second time. I had such a great meal the first time, I wanted to see if it was a fluke or not. Again, an eclectic menu with plenty of offerings. The soup of the day seems to be a winner every time with day 1 being black bean soup and day 2 being meat with vegetables. Both big Joel exceeded my expectations and was worth the eight or left off of Victory. Part of of each meal was a turkey sandwhich with avo and bacon (big bread yum) and day 2 was the walnuts salad. Plenty of walnuts over fresh greens and a light vinaigrette. I could have easily had just one of Them on both days but glad I had both. Pricey for at $35 with tip and drink but great food and friendly service. Note, the juke box rocks.

I can’t even express how happy I am to find a rugby bar in my neighborhood!! I played rugby for 12 years so knowing this place existed made me so happy. I am not a bbq type of person, but I must say these ribs were the best I ever had. Falling off the bone, tender, just the perfect bbq flavor. The atmosphere was great, too. We came to watch the USA soccer game, which truly is a soccer bar. The staff is very friendly, the place is super friendly. Parking is very small but there's plenty of parking on the street. I am definitely coming back, I absolutely loved it here and highly recommend this place.

Arguably the best bar in the Valley! Amazing Draft Beer Selection that has anything you could possibly want. Literally. If you're feeling crafty or want a light domestic beer. Where else are you going to find anything from a San Diego Micro Brewery to good old Budweiser?! Great food too. The wings, sandwiches, burgers and personal favorite buffalo chicken quesadillas hit the spot. They've got a great salmon fish and chips too. And to top it off the atmosphere is awesome. Great place to catch sports and the staff is friendly and attentive. 10/10, great bar and worth your while 100%!

Springbok is simply the only pub in the area that makes me feel at home. I moved from SF and bartended and was part of the North Beach bar scene and thanks to Paul and the rest of the staff I now call this place home!

This place is absolutely amazing 🥳! I have nothing negative whatsoever to say. The staff, clientele, food, atmosphere and drinks are A+. It reminds me of my bar back home that I managed and worked at as a bartender/server. Fun atmosphere where everyone gets along and regulars welcome newcomers. This is what you want when you own a place of business. We will certainly be going back again. I ate the samosas (DELICIOUS) and my bf had the calamari (also DELICIOUS). We were always taken care of and asked if we were okay which I really appreciated. I'm actually hoping to receive a phone call from the manager since I did ask if they are (or will be) hiring in the near future. This is a place I would be proud to say I work for since I just moved out to CA! You have to check it out to experience how awesome this place is and what it has to offer. 💯🍴🍻

Very cute, very chill spot, with delicious food. The house salad dressing is excellent and if you like heat, the curry and anything with peri peri sauce is a win. Their sausages are also amazing.

Love this bar. Prices are adequate, food is always good no matter what you order. Split into dining area and bar area but isn't too large of a place which is nice. Always have sports on the tv and projector. I've seen them allow dogs on the front patio.

Cindy is an awesome bartender! Super friendly, easy to talk to, and really knows her stuff. She made us feel right at home and took great care of everyone at the bar. The drinks were spot-on, and she had some great recommendations too. You can tell she enjoys what she does, and it makes the whole experience that much better. If you're lucky enough to have Cindy behind the bar, you're in good hands!

I came there for the first time to watch one of the World Cup games. The place was packed 0 seats available. There is a small private parking lot in the back and lots of street parking around. Service was 5 stars and good thing was the service timing. The waitresses didn’t walk around during the game rush. They were serving tables when the ball was out and etc. which made us actually enjoy watching the game there. I tried the wings plate, the bbq flavor was delicious, lemon wings were topped with cheese (which is not mentioned on the menu). Calamari plate was perfectly fried. Huge draft beers selections, screens all around the bar.

Food was plentiful and very delicious. Loved all the bokkie stuff on the walls. Our kids found the food to be enjoyable. Definitely will be back. We ate a late lunch so it was not crowded. If there is a popular team on the tube you might have to wait for a table

I've been coming here now for a little over a year every Sunday 8pm ish to 1230 pm religiously for karaoke night and they have become like family . I came here for the first time and staff was very nice the atmosphere was pleasant but the only thing was uncomfortable is the high chairs and I wasn’t able to reach the metal bar to rest my feet; that’s why we left. If you guys can make the bar reachable for us (female) and have better seats people can stay longer. I didn’t tried the food but next time I will.

We popped in at 4:45pm, starving after missing lunch to go vote. We discovered an amazing old-school saloon inside with a pool table, juke box, and more. A wide selection on the menu of pub fare, salads and south african staples as well. We ate the best happy hour tacos I've EVER had and turkey salads. They have a huge beer selection and sports for those who like that kind of thing. No gluten-free beer, but the tacos and salad were gluten-free. There are cocktails, a N/A beer selection, and pellegrino. We are so happy we stumbled in here.

The place looks like an ordinary sports bar, but, it has really great authentic South African food mixed with classic bar food. They have a good selection of beers, as well. There are plenty of tvs to watch games. The service was a little slow, but, the server was very nice so I almost didn't mind.

The wings were pretty excellent, I thought. The service was spotty. There was about a 50% chance at them having whichever beer is on the menu so that was... mildly annoying. But I'll mention the wings were good again and the TV screens were awesome for the games so I'll be back, for sure.

I dig this place the food is good. The wings Peri-Peri are the best. The mussels and calamari are pretty awesome too. A little pricey but hey anytime I can take my kids out to go watch the game and enjoy a cold one it's well worth it.

Make sure you try their sausage dog that no one can pronounce, so unique and delicious! Fries taste great and the waitresses are super cute. Great place to watch the fight or refuel after 18holes at Woodley.

Great little South African inspired pub. Try had a great selection of different beers on tap as well as an assortment if different spirits. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I’d have no hesitation returning again in the future. I also quite enjoyed the food selection. I had the chips with home made salsa. Overall it was a pleasant experience for a local pub.

It's a great place we like to get together after outer softball games. Food is good and drinks are better. Some sport is always playing and they have karaoke, darts, music, and pool. Can't go wrong to have a great time.

I really like the Springbok. The staff is very friendly and I don't think I have ever seen a server just sitting around — they constantly check in on people and get going. This is great! The food is also great, considering it's a pub. They have a decent amount of South African dishes and also many classic American pub favorites like wings and mac n cheese and other things too. I highly recommend trivia nights which are always busy, friendly, and a lot of fun (although not free). The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because I feel the menu could use some more options for vegetables, but it's a pub so I would imagine most people are not exactly looking for that. Perhaps I'm being unfair? Try: Chicken livers with the South African goop.

They have a beautiful bar made with rustic wood. The waitresses were top notch. The food was good and if ever I’ve seen a place for drinking and fun, this is it. There are also TVS for sports. Springbok is a good time waiting to happen, all they need is you and your friends.

This was my second visit. Tonight for dinner I had the Schnitzel. I found the mushroom gravy had too much Pepper for me, a little spicy oh, other than that everything was good. Our waitress did a great job handling our large group.

Nice little bar where you can have lots of fun with friends or family. Come by to have a cold one while playing pool. Come over for a bite to eat inside or al fresco out at the patio while watching the game on multiple big flat screens. Plenty of good food to chose from their menu, please check their website for Springbok's menu options. The pretty food servers are very kind, helpful, and patient. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of parking spaces at Springbok parking lot, maybe enough for 10-12 cars and around the near by streets there was very few options as well.

I've been coming here on and off for 20 years. I love the lamb chops. Big dining area inside and outside, big tv with sports on. The food is delicious, the Lamb chops are to die for, but beware there's a very locals only vibe, with a lot of "tough guys" around so the lamb chops are not the only thing to die for. Watch for the evil eye and a wayward drunk barging in on your dart game. Put your name on the chalkboard for a danger filled game of pool. DON'T try to order a drink at the bar by saying, "Excuse me" to any person sitting at the bar, chances are they will take it the wrong way, it's like getting past a guard posted at Guantanamo Bay. The staff is pretty cool. When it's busy, I've noticed they get a bit short fused. Overall, the staff is fairly nice, but don't cross them in any way. There are so many bad apples that I think they assume everyone is going to be a problem. I mean, it's such a nice place, and with some positive attitude adjustments by a vast majority of the local bar patrons, I'd give this place a far better score for atmosphere. That's not to say I haven't met some nice and honest people there as well, just few and far between. Again, great food, tho at a high risk.

Bad, bad service. I had to get menus and my bill. The waitress passed by you, and these girls don't care if you are waiting for a simple menu. The only one who was polite and helpful was the bartender. The food is ok, anything extraordinary, even though they messed up on my order too. Personally, I would never come back.

They add a full gratuity to the bill AND add a blank tip line for those who are too drunk to read or comprehend the bill to double-tip them. Food was ok but the gratuity game with the bill is unethical and uncool so this place is off my list until there’s new management who will hopefully fix this.

First time here the waitress completely forgot about us and it took 20 minutes just to get our change back from our bill when we actually got it. Second time the burger was so dry it pulled the moisture out of the air and I had to ask for extra sauce just to make the thing edible. Lindsay is the absolute best bartender they have. They have a new bartender which is a blonde girl. This girl not only has a bad attitude but is continually bashing customers. As a South African now living in California, I was super excited to come to this place for a taste of home. I wasn’t expecting a high end restaurant, I knew it was supposed to be a casual sports bar so my expectations were not super high - but I haven’t experienced anything as disappointing as this place in a very long time. Walking in, the tables were filthy… but ok no worries. Eventually received a menu and service. Ordered drinks and asked for the cider to come with glass of ice. No glass, no ice. They rectified that so all good. Went to order their signature South African item - the boerewors roll… none left. Which meant that the appetiser platter was also going to be missing the boerewors. It was the main reason for our visit so I was quite disappointed, but dealt with it so asked if they could instead do the chicken livers. None of those either! So I said ok, can you sub the missing items for more samosas? Platter came with a single samosa. I ended up having to get chicken for my entree but wasn’t even given a knife. As we were finally eating, they closed the kitchen early (at 8:30) and started stacking chairs up around us. Didn’t ask us if we wanted another drink or anything before giving us the check, mid meal. Service terrible, none of the South African food we wanted, I’m heartbroken because I really wanted to love this place.

Terrible service by the waitress with dark hair that serves the tables by the 2 giant screens. I used to go there some years ago and it's just my second time since Covid in the last 1 or 2 months. I go there for the UFC fights. This girl passed me by while serving everyone around me. I ate and finished my food without a drink, she just didn't care to bring it with my meal or right after. That's a first one for me. When I asked for it she gave me an attitude. She's waited my table these last two times I've been there and she doesn't care about providing good service, they automatically charge you %20 tip on UFC fight nights so she knows she will get a good tip either way. She still got a $7.00 tip this last time. Problem is this reflects bad on the business. Terrible service!

This place was amazing, now it is barely eatable. Raise the price 50% and drop the food quality, cost them the line out the door. The place seems to be struggling and they are taking it out on the customers. If you chose Denny's over this place you did yourself a favor.

Food was not real south african , menu was not up to date as far as what is shown on Google only had 4 beers on tap No south african beer, asked for a castle and waitress brought New castle brown ale. Waitress was rude and didn't seem interested in serving us did not come check on us had to get her attention if we needed anything. When we asked the waitress about the food , bar or owner we got short rude answers.Bartender was playing cards with someone at the end of the bar. We drove 7 hours made a special trip out and was very disappointed. Only good thing was the boere wors we got.
