The birria at this place is so good. It just falls apart while your eating it. We bought birria de res for Christmas eve dinner and man did we love it. Definitely recommend this place and definitely going back.

One of THE BEST birria in the 818 I live in Hollywood and drive to Van Nuys just to eat here! They give you tortillas gorditas too! I guess the only flaw i could see is that they only accept cash.

Best menudo in town! The birrieria Dorado is also bomb, and you can't go wrong with their tacos. It's a small local place, it's a true authentic Mexican hidden gem.

Food is soooo good and they are consistent. I have been here three consecutive days since I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Homemade tortillas are yummy.

If you've had birrieria from Mexico and love it, this place is great. I wish they had more cilantro and lots more hand made tortillas. The hours were incorrect so we couldn't eat in the restaurant but they were nice enough to let us order to go. Be careful if you normally don't eat meat, it overwhelms your stomach. And it looks closed from street view, you need to go pull/push the door even if it looks like the lights are off and "the gate is down".

Always hands down the BEST barbecue. Birria and honestly the entire menu is BOMB. This man Pedro the gentleman who owns the place has some MAJOR skills for cooking and receipe. Seriously. I've been to many spots in the entire valley, they are the best. However IT'S CASH ONLY. Come ready. Also get there with TIME TO SPARE you will have to wait 30-40 minutes on the weekends as the place is PACKED and there are dozens of takeout orders and a line to get a seat. Wanna get in and out fast? Call 40 minutes in advance. Tell them your order ask how long then show up 10-20 minutes before. That way you get in and out fast. Their handmade tortillas are delicious but only 2 or 3 come with two big orders. So if you want extra you gotta pay them respect and pay for them. They are amazing and are hard work. Big servings for the price. Will always recommend. Never go anywhere else.

I really love the carne asada burrito 🌯 here. The salsa is perfect! A clean butcher counter, and fresh produce. Friendly staff. Outside eating, social distance style. The prices are very good. My too few coins go far here.

Great place for menudo and to be honest one of the best places so far (it is totally worth it) the Gorditas de chicharrón are also very tasty. Well overall great food quality.

Had to run to the county recorders office and was hungry and was craving Mexican breakfast. I ordered the huevos con chorizo. Yummmmm!!!! The order came with rice, beans, AND hand-made tortillas! Okay, guys, it doesn't get any better than this!!! It was delicious! Their coffee was on point, too hot and delicious. Would come back!!! The restaurant was clean and the service was superb!!!

Staff was very professional and friendly attentive at all times, did not rush us into getting in and out though the place was very busy. Food was amazing, approved by my very traditional elderly father, that also cooks amazing. We agreed that we will be coming back. The barbacoa as well as the birria were both very tender cooked to perfection. We both enjoyed this experience very much and also ordered to go to share with family.

I loved the food! El wet burrito with salsa de el molcajete is good AF and the asada parece que estoy comiendo tacos from my pueblo Tabasco Zacatecas Mex. I'm giving it a 4 star 🌟 because the service is a little slow BUT very friendly! The birria is very delicious and barbacoa as well! Go here if you want a Authentic Mexican restaurant....for me it was great 👍 will be back!

Customer service is horrible, we wait too long for food, and orders always wrong. Only reason go is because it's close and decent price.

The food was great, the service was fast. But, I'd like to comment on the cashier's attitude (with the chola eyebrows) she was rude & snobby. Her customer service can use great improvement, but even the minimum improvement would be refreshing.

Got a steak quesadilla which was quite tasty, along with an Horchata, which was a bit above average in quality. All told though , I spent 20 dollars on lunch which seems quite expensive for standard taqueria mexican food, even here in LA.

After a year of coming here today I’m lowering their rate based on my experience. I asked for birria de chivo dorada and they literally gave me one meaty goat rib and the rest was the kind of beef you shred. It’s obvious they throw in a goat bone to claim it’s all goat meat. I didn’t finish it and mentioned it to the waitress but she did seem clueless about meats so I assume she’s saying what she’s told to say to customers. I suggest ordering goat ribs bone in. Me dieron quarter gato por liebre 😅😂🤣

Menu on the wall without prices. Long line, only one order taker who's also a waitress (seemed friendly). Had to wait 10 minutes simply to ask how much their burrito costs. Turned out to be expensive: $9. or so, as I recall it. This in a poor neighborhood. Wasted my time without anything good to show for it. Why not post the darn prices?!

This place was the worst place I ever been to, first the food took forever to arrive at our table. We waited an hour for our food, then the waitress got our orders wrong and told us that what she gave us was what we order and their was no way we order anything else. Third, the food was awful. I took one bite and not to exaggerate but I couldn't take another it was disgusting. My husband ate half of the burrito mojado and got a stomach ache, he complained all night that his stomach was in pain. Since , me and my husband could not eat the food due to the terrible taste , my husband ask to have the order to take. The waitress brought us our box to take the food and announced that we had not made a mistake on our order because what she had written on her tablet was correct and their was no way in possible that we had order anything else, in other word she was saying that we were idiots for not knowing what we order. I was insulted when she said this that I got up and left as fast as I could. My husband paid the order and we vowed never to eat their again or recommend it. We ended up throwing the food away. Not only was it a waste of money the place was expensive too! It was not worth our time, money, or visit. Never again will we eat their.

The waitress with the moles was the rudest person. She had the nastiest most miserable attitude.

Mediocre food. When I went up to pay the lady( with the chola eyebrows and giant moles on her face) was calling me names in Spanish (thinking I couldn’t understand). The only “Barbarian” is the middle aged lady who’s bitter over being old and unattractive.

If I could give zero stars I would. The middle aged cashier/ waitress picked her nose and wiped it on the cash as I was paying. I can’t even believe this happened.

Came to pick up an order. Waitress rudely told me " There's no order for YOU" and laughed. After several back and forth. My order was there. Check orders thoroughly before saying no orders were made!! Won't be coming here anymore. Bad service!

My first review. Called up here and the lady hung up on me within 5 seconds because I didn't speak Spanish. I called back and said, hola no habla Espanol. Habla Ingles? No response just hung up in my face. I couldn't believe it sooo RUDE. Like at least say something in Spanish like ohh no habla ingles. You never know who you're talking to especially over the phone. Just straight RUDE what the heck . RUDENESS is understandable in any language. That ain't even cool. Manager or owner needs to fix that. Zero stars
