The food was so delicious, I had my eyes rolled the entire time. A big WOW and thank you goes goes to this restaurant! If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would. I can definitely understand now why they're always fully booked. The service was exceptional: staff are happy, helpful and friendly. We never had to wait for more than a couple of minutes to be helped - they are always there for you with a big smile, and being so professional at the same time. A special admiration goes to their fish and chips and pannacotta, just so good! After visited Italy multiple times and having tried many different restaurants, I was so impressed by the quality and flavours. Should I even mention a huge selection of local wines? Everything is hand and freshly made as well. This place can definitely not be recommended enough but whatever it is they're doing - please keep it up! And thank you for a lovely night.

Great food and great service! We made our reservation for dinner at seven and enjoyed a simpler meal this evening. I had the ravioli filled with beef and pear, prepared in butter and bacon! My son enjoyed the lamb. For dessert we shared the lemon merengue tart. A wonderful place to eat when you’re in Varenna.

In fall of 2022, had my first experience here. A friend of mine, and I went to a white truffle dinner. Each course was paired with an appropriate wine, and was thoroughly enjoyable. The atmosphere was gorgeous, our waiter was well-versed in the wines and food he was serving, and the food was really good. This year I have been there a couple of times for drinks on the outdoor terrace. The view of the ferries is not the most spectacular view you will find in Varenna… But ….if you love to people watch, I’d have to say it was one of the best places to do that. Lastly, kudos to the bartender, he made one of the best martinis I’ve ever had in my life! Highly recommended, in the high season I am certain reservations will be required.

Good food here but better options in Varenna. Had the three sauce beef pasta and it was good. I enjoyed it. The Cesar chicken was also very good. A big piece of fried chicken. But the beef was disgusting. It was just roast beef on top of some terrible polenta. I’ve never hated a dish in Italy but I did hate this one. There are better places in Varenna to eat for better food

Food was excellent. Serving sizes a little small considering the price. Service was a little slow. Fish antipasto was excellent. The restaurant itself had a good atmosphere. Would recommend.

Food is delicious here. They do secondi very well. Our first visit, we had the famous local Lake Como dish: the creamy risotto with lake fish. Our second visit, we had Tuna and breaded chicken (with Caesar’s dressing). They were both excellent. Good selection of wine too. Service here is professional, but not warm, friendly, or welcoming compared to other local restaurants that we’ve experienced in mid lake (Bellagio, Menaggio, Varenna, etc). Would we dine here again in the future? I would say yes ONLY IF we can sit inside. Our most recent visit, we were seated outdoor and it was extremely unpleasant due to bugs, especially flies - see my pictures. The restaurant needs to do more to address the flies issue (rather than simply throwing their hands up in the air and say “this is nature”). In Singapore, Dubai, and Thailand, upscale restaurants have found ways to deal with flies to make sure they don’t come to bother the customers. There’s no reason why Italians can’t learn from these other places.

Worst experience ever. We ordered pizza and they brought tick something which is a bread type something with souce and lowest quality cheese. The waitress argues with us then that it’s focaccia- then why do you sell it as pizza? Worst culinary experience of Italy. We left it almost untouched.
