Di fatto e di nome bella vista. Panorama splendido. Buona cucina, solo per chi ama i nuovi menù gourmet. Anni fa si poteva mangiare un menù country, con polenta e selvaggina. I tempi cambiano!

Sulla strada che collega Nesso al Pian del Tivano c'è una deviazione che porta a Veleso e quindi al ristorante. Ci siamo andati "al buio", semplicemente seguendo le indicazioni trovate a Nesso e abbiamo avuto la giusta intuizione. Il ristorante gode veramente di una bella vista sul ramo di Como del Lario e, soprattutto, abbiamo scoperto l'ottima cucina dello chef Paolo Longoni. Il menù propone cinque o sei antipasti, altrettanti primi e altrettanti secondi. Potrebbe sembrare una scelta, a prima vista, limitata ma, andando al dettaglio, è stato davvero difficile decidere cosa prendere tra tante proposte anche particolari. Alla fine abbiamo optato per le guancette di maiale tartufate e gli gnocchi di patata alla spuma ai quattro formaggi e i piatti si sono rivelati davvero ottimi. Molto ampia la scelta dei vini. Come dolce ci siamo buttati sul loro "After Eight", mousse di cioccolato e menta, e, ancora una volta, abbiamo fatto centro. Rimane la curiosità di assaggiare tutto il resto e, quindi, con tutta probabilità ci torneremo nuovamente. Ci hanno avvisato che i menù sono stagionali e dovremo allora farci più di un passaggio. Una nota di apprezzamento anche a tutto il personale. Consigliatissimo.

Tra le migliori cene mai fatte. Il cibo é buonissimo, tutto é curato e pulito. Sono molto cordiali e gentili, in aggiunta c'è una vista mozzafiato. I piatti sono buoni e molto decorati, come gourmet, a un costo molto basso! Ho fatto due ore di viaggio in auto con la mia famiglia per venire a cenare qua e lo rifarei mille volte perché davvero merita tantissimo 😍

Io e il mio fidanzato abbiamo trascorso una grigia serata autunnale avvolti e coccolati da questo incantevole ristorante. La cucina è di alto livello, con piatti particolari, in cui abbinamenti e contrasti giocano da padroni. Ottimi i primi piatti ma ciò che ci ha davvero lasciati a bocca aperta sono indubbiamente stati le seconde portate a base di faraona l’una e manzo l’altra: carne che si scioglieva in bocca da quanto fosse tenera e cotta bene. Indubbiamente la miglior terrina di manzo al barolo mai mangiata. Sensazionale l’atmosfera intima e raccolta, così come la cordialità dal personale. Prezzo più che onesto per la qualità di ciò che si va a consumare. Assolutamente consigliato

L ultima vota che ci sono stata non è stato apprezzato il pollo con crema di cocco. Il pollo in un menù degustazione di alto livello non lo proporrei. Di solito lo do al mio.cane Per il resto tutto benissimo

Io e il mio compagno abbiamo soggionato il week end scorso. Hotel posizionato in un posto splendido, cucina il top.. Chef Logoni una ottima scoperta, ti sorprende con una cucina semplice ma ricercata, ottimi prodotti e ne rimani entusiasta . Proprietari splendidi con i loro racconti del passato ad oggi e pronti a suggerire escursioni e posti da visitare. A pieni voti in tutto. Ci ritorneremo. Andateci.. Una bellissima scoperta.

La strada inizialmente può sembrare un ostacolo, ma non è così male.. considerando poi che si arriva in questo posto splendido con una vista mozzafiato!!! Camere super curate e profumate, 1 terrazza per il ristorante/bar e 1 terrazza solarium dove si puó ammirare ancora meglio la vista e la sera per guardare le stelle!!! Super consigliato!

Posizione incantevole dove si può gustare la pace, la calma e godere di un panorama unico. Pezzo forte é la cucina, davvero ottima, raffinata, ricercata ed allo stesso tempo soddisfacente. Il personale é cordiale, educato e soprattutto attento.

Posizione invidiabile e gentilezza dei propietari. Surreale una recensione ad una stella lasciata da un tizio offeso per non essere stato avvertito del fatto che il propietario avesse avuto un incidente in moto e non aver quindi potuto mangiare. VIVA LA COMPRENSIONE! Meno male che ha pure scritto di averci anche pensato prima di postarla. Io invece non ho dovuto pensare nemmeno un secondo prima di rispondere :-) Certa gente dovrebbe rimanere a casa propria (immagino la brianza, viste le altre recensioni inserite dal nostro eroe, terra che conosco bene, dato che ci abito e quindi non mi stupisco).

We stayed 6 nights at Bella Vista and it was truly amazing. The hotel can be reached quickly via car from Milan airport. First of all the location is spectacular, up in the mountain with stunning views of lake Como and the mountains. From the hotel you can quickly reach Nesso, Bellagio and Como. Also a hike to San Primo is close by. The hotel and the staff is great, everyone was very lovely and kind, and the rooms were very clean and the service was amazing. The breakfast was perfect with everything we needed and we also had dinner at the restaurant which was very tasty. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

The location is fabulous!!!!! If you want to disconnect from citie’s noises-THAT’the place. You he road from Como city is not very comfortable but it is worth a o have a good rest. Rooms are clean. The terrace of the restaurant is so amazing that you cam spen all day they enjoying the view. They have a restaurant , eventhough it was late, they offerd us some dishes so we can have our dinner. There are 2 varieties of breakfast, small 3,80€ coffe +brioche and continental 15€pp. the last one in full( fruit salad, yogurts, cereals, eggs, ham, cheese, croissants with gem or butter….coffee, tea, juices… We had a suit for 4 with lake views, prices same as in booking or other platforms. Family business, very friendly.

This is a great place to stay for those who like resorts on a mountain setting. The rooms are clean and were recently renovated. The service is great and friendly with the family owning this resort tirelessly working from early morning to late at night to serve the guests, always with a smile. The views are great and at night you can enjoy the sunsets over the mountains and then at night the glow of city lights by the lake. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the villages nearby. There are several communes nearby. If you chose this place be prepared for the narrow, steep roads with very sharp turns. The locals drive very fast on the middle of the narrow road but they are good at avoiding the cars in the opposite direction. Be prepared with encounters with buses and trucks going fast and taking the entire space of a turn with zero visibility. You can access Como and other nearby towns after descending to lake level.

You come here for the peace, the view, the food and the friendlies, Veleso in general is a great weekend escaped. The Bella Vista restaurant i would say is a must, if you are in the area, coming up here is worth the travel, the food is just amazing, the green risotto was my favorite dish, i want to come back just to try ot again. We had the "3 course easy" and a couple of drinks (a cocktail, some wine, beers), plus complementary snacks (every single item was delicious) and the price is reasonable, about 60€ pp total.

A wonderful restaurant up in the mountains with a stunning view over Lake Como. We had dinner and felt welcomed even though I didn‘t confirm our restaurant reservation, Paolo was very helpful with his team. The dinner was extra-ordinary and one of the best in the area. We came to the very same hotel we stayed about 8 years ago during our honeymoon trip to Italy and we fell in love with it. The hotel and the restaurant are located in a picturesque village of Veleso, overlooking Lake Como. We had a spacious room on the top floor with the balcony (it is my impression that all rooms have balconies by the looks of it) where you could sit in the evening, have a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset. The food was amazing, Marina and her husband were making everything for guests to feel like at home. On our previous visit, we saw a gorgeous rosemary bush in the corner of the garden and asked for a twig to bring it back to the UK and plant it. Instead, the hosts presented us with a flower pot with a live growing rosemary - such a lovely gesture. Frankly I do not understand some negative reviews left by some people - this is so much contrary to our experience. One word of caution perhaps is that roads leading up to the village are narrow and it is best to take a smaller car - although this is true for Italian roads in general.

Great views. Better hosts. We stayed one night at the BellaVista hotel and were very kindly treated by the whole service. Dinner and breakfast were superb. If you want to enjoy Como lake and its surroundings while staying in a quieter place than Bellagio and similar, THIS is your place.

Great hosts! Boutique hotel indeed! Beautiful stay with amazing food. Never had anything like it. Worth the drive up (make sure you are comfortable making the drive, and go slow as the locals are more confident and can sneak up on you with their speed). Room comfortable and felt almost like an alpine room. It was a little cold outside but their inside restaurant (I reserved ahead of time the best seat with the view) with their fireplace, was such a comfortable experience. Plenty of parking at the base of the hotel.

It's worth the stressful drive up the mountain. The food is amazing, tasteful fine dining. The service is also great, with a family ambience. And then there is the view: watching the sun set over lake Como from your table is magnificent. Defintely recommend!

Great stay overall. Parking is available, no elevators - you will need to take suitcases by stairs. Dinner is expensive but very good. Breakfast is fine - eggs, bread, youghurts, ham and cheese, fruits, juice and coffee. I wish there were some veggies as well. Room is clean and nice, but no AC - it was very cold in the evening. Beautiful view from the balcony and roof top is available. The shower and toilet is tiny - if you are not thin you can have hard time entering the shower. Hot water flow was not good enough.

It is MAGICAL! The photos on google don’t do justice to how fantastic this place is. The view is extremely beautiful, food is phenomenal and the hosts are just the sweetest people. I’d eat here all dat every day. Oh and the melanzana it’s the best I’ve ever had and I ate a lot of aubergines. Please go, relax and enjoy everything this place has to offer. It will be an exquisite experience far away from the tourist masses, but still with the most beautiful view of the lake Como. Make sure to make a reservation, they answer super quick on Whatsapp and they speak English❤️

Amazing view at 800m with beautiful colors shaping the sunset of the lake. Menú Chef, 60€ for 7 courses very well-balanced for a summer dinner. Noteworthy a very large table on the external terrace for the best of the comfort. Waiters and owners really kind.

Amazing restaurant! Totally deserves the name belle vista (beautiful view), the lake view from the small village with ripen grapes and vine hanging above is really something enjoyable! Food is very impressive fine dining - starts with snacks of think crispy potato chips and crispy cheese on carved lake stone, following by ham on toast; then the first course we had amazing risotto and guinea foul ravioli! Main course the rabbit is a must try! Deconstructed rabbit meat wrapped with think bacon, great creamy mashed potato and amazing sauce! Totally worth a try!

Abbiamo avuto occasione di fermarci in questo ristorante per la colazione e per la cena. Il posto è sicuramente molto bello con una terrazza panoramica sulle montagne e sul lago, molto scenografico. Il personale, direi a conduzione familiare accoglie con semplicità e cortesia come in una classica osteria casalinga. La colazione è stata sicuramente un flop. Le brioches non erano all'altezza dei cappuccini niente di che. La cena, chi premetto essere piuttosto cara offre cibo veramente di alto livello. Un menù breve con poca scelta ma di pietanze raffinate, abbondanti curate e buone. È stata una bella esperienza nel complesso. E uno dei risotti più buoni che abbia mangiato!

Ristorante con bellissima vista panoramica sul lago. Cucina ricercata e raffinata dello chef che propone piatti della tradizione in chiave moderna. Notevole la scelta dei vini. Le stanze sono nuove, pulitissime e accoglienti. I proprietari sono cordiali e molto disponibili. Davvero una giornata piacevole lontano dalla canicola!

Terrazza con ottima vista sul lago di Como. Peccato per la strada per raggiungerla, che è molto stretta e in alcuni punti necessarie troppe manovre. In ogni caso struttura accogliente e pulita, anche se un po' datata negli arredi e nei servizi. Il campanile della chiesa che suona al mattino presto ha disturbato il sonno, ma non è colpa dei gestori. Rapporto qualità prezzo ok, anche se probabilmente un po' troppo alto per i servizi offerti

Non ho niente contro il locale in sé, si mangia abbastanza bene. Il problema è chi ci lavora dentro. Gente poco onesta. Frequento la zona da anni e ogni volta cercano di truffare i turisti ed i villeggianti rifilando le sigarette a prezzi magicamente maggiorati. Oltre che il classico stizzo quando si vuole pagare col bancomat. (Perche così è costretto a dichiarare la vendita)

Not sure what to say..... Booked dinner 3 days in advance on some good reviews. Arrived a hour early as we were a little worried about the drive up there but was only slightly hairy. So far so good. Said hello to chef and team and sat on restaurant veranda with a glass of wine looking at the lovely view. Then weird stuff...Completely ignored right up to booked table time, and then still ignored 30 mins past our booked table time. Everyone around us being seated at tables and served. Eventually we asked chef as to the reason we were not being seated or served. No reason given.... just smirked! We were so upset we just left. Can't comment on the food since we didn't get any and we still dont know why! Never had this happen in all my 58 years of fine dining at excellent restaurants. Appalling attitude and service which ruined a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime stay at the lake, with lovely locals. Still angry now. Absolutely not recommended.
