Accolto a braccia aperte pronti al servizio in una zona tranquilla della città, cenato di domenica ad agosto nella settimana di ferragosto il locale era ingiustamente quasi vuoto Ho preso un antipasto tris veneziano condiviso in due ed il branzino in foto, entrambi i piatti buonissimi, il branzino era impiattato in modo da rimanere caldo nel mentre che lo mangiavo. Veramente eccezionali, speso una 40ina€ per tutto, più che giusto, sono uscito sazio e soddisfatto. Bravi Prendete assolutamente i piatti tipici veneti/veneziani 👏🏻

Absolutely outstanding! The food wase excellent – definitely one of the best places in Venice when it comes to fish and seafood. A huge thank you to the chef! The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a warm and friendly atmosphere both inside and in the outdoor area. The staff are incredibly kind and have a wonderful sense of humor. Per tre settimane ho pranzato al Ristorante Al Vecio Forno per lavoro, sempre con un menù concordato. Non ho potuto assaggiare tutto, ma i piatti che ho provato — dalle insalatone alle pastasciutte, fino alla tagliata e alle cotolette [tante cotolette! Troppe forse]— sono sempre stati buoni e con un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Servizio veloce, ragazzi simpatici e sempre disponibili. The food was very delicious and cooked carefully, you could tell the effort. Flavours were well balanced and the quality of the products was very good. One of the best service I ever experienced! Waiters were full of energy with great knowledge and communication skills. That means a lot for the overall experience as it makes it a warmer place to be and welcomes you back. Al Vecio Forno, without a shadow of doubt, had the best service of any place we ate at in Venice. We stopped here for a light bite to eat around dinner time, we got sat in the back patio which sits literally right on a canal. What's nice is this spot is also covered so if it were raining you could still sit outside! For dinner we had a Greek Salad and Fried Calamari. Both were great, but the service is what really brought it over the top. The staff were very friendly, we joked around, and had a great laugh.

Had a lovely time at this little Italian spot in Venice. The staff are really sweet and welcoming, proper friendly. The atmosphere is so nice too, right by a canal, which makes it really relaxing to sit and enjoy your meal. The food was great, and the wine was absolutely wonderful—really complemented everything. With such a lovely setting and service, it made for a really nice lunch. Definitely worth a visit!

A fantastic lunch/dinner in beautiful surroundings. The food and service was 10/10, antipasti sardines and scallops, the perfect starters. Secondi of lasagna and tagliatelle bolognese were the best we’ve ever had. Drinks & dessert all perfect. Service was excellent, friendly and funny and we were made to feel special. The restaurant is a little tucked out of the way , but is well worth seeking out. Very highly recommended. There is indoor seating, but three tables under a covered arch are the highlight. You can eat/drink and watch the fish and locals float by.

Kinda hidden restaurant in Venice that absolutely met our expectations. The place looked very nice and cozy, the food was great, but mainly the service was excellent! Right as we entered the restaurant the service was very welcoming, they were friendly and they were making jokes, which really lifted the atmosphere. The guy even went with us and showed us the way to the Gondola after we had finished our meal.

Lovely and kind staff. Unlike some other restaurant the space was note tight which was great and the food was amazing, we had a carbonara and it was delicious. We tried wines based on the staff recommendation and I am glad we did. The prices were okay too. Definitely recommend it for a good pasta

Best seafood ever! The octopus salad, the seafood platter and the calamari were delicious! They were super fresh. The Place is amazing, nice view to the canal, we sit outside and no tourists walking by. Super private experience in Venice! Definitely I will come back!

We have reservation today and we are lucky can take the outside table which is next to the canal at the quiet lane. No tourists walking cross by when we were having our food. The staffs team are so friendly and welcoming. Food is tasty especially the beef carpaccio.

Just as we sat down, the manager showed us the menu and also showed us a video of a live lobster, so we ordered lobster pasta and we weren’t disappointed. Very fresh and tasty. The bread was also nice and warm. The best meal we had in Venice, thank you!! If we were to stay for an extra day, would definitely revisit this place.

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing dinner. It was romantic when we sat outside. For starters, I would recommended the fried calamari and mixed vegetables. The pasta with clams that I ordered tasted great! Overall, the food are worth the price.

One of the best dining experiences me and my boyfriend have ever had. The food is delicious, each staff member is extremely friendly and welcoming and we sat in a very unique and intimate outdoor courtyard next to the canal which felt very special. It was such a great place to stop after exploring. The waiter was so nice and fun. Super chill and funny. He helped us order, fed the fish and joked with us and advised us on our meal/wine selection etc. It was away from the hustle and bustle but we had a canal view right by the stairs and it was such a calm away from the crowds and tables spaced enough to feel more romantic and alone then next door.

Cibo buono e a prezzo onesto, personale gentilissimo, disponibile, socievole e mi hanno aiutato in un episodio di difficolta': staff da 6 stelline, se avessi potuto. Ho avuto la fortuna di mangiare nella corte esterna, un angolo semplicemente delizioso, una coccola. Consiglio una candelina profumata al tavolo per attenuare gli odori che ogni tanto salgono dal canale e che possono infastidire la cena, premesso che ovviamente non dipendono assolutamente dal ristorante e abbiamo scelto noi quel tavolo. Esperienza da provare per una cena da cartolina.

Al Vecio Forno abbiamo trovato qualità e autenticità, cosa non troppo comune nella turistica Venezia. Siamo partiti con degli antipasti di pesce: le capesante erano belle ricche di polpa ed erano servite in 3 modi differenti. A parte quella al brandy che non sapeva di nulla, le altre due erano deliziose, lardo e capasanta insieme creano un'ottima squadra. Buono anche il fritto misto, leggero e poco unto, pesce di eccellente sapore e qualità ma con qualche difetto tuttavia sulle verdure. La vera protagonista della cena è stata la pasta, un vero spettacolo. I miei taglioni al nero di seppia fatto in casa erano praticamente perfetti, fatico a ricordare l'ultima volta che ho mangiato una pasta al pesce tanto buona! Anche lo spaghetto alle vongole aveva un gusto speciale grazie soprattutto alla bottarga che spingeva un po' sui sapori. Molto buono anche il tiramisù, il mascarpone era perfetto! Vino consigliatoci molto apprezzato, la carta presenta anche tante etichette interessanti. Personale super gentile e alla mano, scherzoso anche con il cliente, ci siamo sentiti trattati come a casa ma in completo stile veneziano. Altra nota molto apprezzata: è affascinante vedere i piatti essere preparati grazie alla cucina a vista. Prezzo più che giusto, quasi economico pensando che si è a Venezia. Lo consiglio.

Sono stato a cena Al Vecio Forno con la mia compagna.Il ristorante si trova in una zona meno turistica di Venenzia, molto tranquilla. Il personale si è dimostrato gentile e disponibile in una maniera incredibile, noi abbiamo cenato fuori con vista sul canale. Il cibo era buono e i prezzi nella media di Venezia. Consigliato l'antipasto Venenziano.

The tagliolini al nero pasta was fabulous, the best of our trip. The sea bass ravioli just didn't make sense to us and we didn't like it. The fritura mista was too flat for us. It had no spark. The grigliata was amazing We had a bottle of Livio Felluga Vertigo red wine. So, I can safely say that the tagliolini al nero with the fritura mista and a bottle of Felluga would have been an incredible meal and I strongly recommend it. The tiramisu and coffee were great as well.

The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was very good, including the appetizers, pastas and main courses. The grilled seabass was outstanding. It was also very hot and uncomfortable in the restaurant. They do have air conditioners, but they were not able to do much about the temperature, which was too hot. Also, even though we had reservations and confirmed them twice (via email and phone), our table was still not ready when we came and we had to wait about 10 min. However, the food really was very good.

They have very nice and polite staff. The food was good; the fish was the best, followed by the meat, which was also one of the best dishes on the menu. The pasta and fried fish were good as well. The portions were small, but the food was delicious. The wine collection was also very nice, especially the white wine.

Questionable starter of very tough Gnocco (fried bread) with cheese and tomatoes. Ok but not life changing pasta. The waiters work hard to be very friendly playing lots of jokes with the guests. It's ok overall. Suspect some items are much better than others on the menu too.

Ristorante turistico con poca atmosfera veneziana. La cucina è a vista e nell'ambiente principale dove si mangia, senza una sufficiente separazione il che rende l'ambiente poco gradevole nel momento in cui si frigge molto e si fanno preparazioni piuttosto pesanti.

È l'unica volta che le recensioni che ho letto con attenzione su google e tripadvisor non corrispondono a ciò che ho sperimentato: cibo scadente, servito in modo dozzinale e quantità scarsa. Tre crostini freddi a 18 euro, primi a 22/24 euro e nelle vongole sabbia a volontà. I camerieri, forse nemmeno colpa loro, istruiti per divertire turisti ma senza spirito e divertimento. Mi sono sentita ingannata. 120 euro per non aver mangiato e forse meglio così data la qualità delle portate. Da evitare assolutamente
