Such a beautifulllllllll place! From the outside to the inside, such a stunning place with plants, accented wood & just well thought out decor. Stopped in for an early morning brunch. Place was quiet & welcoming. Loved that they offer vegetarian & vegan dishes. Amazing coffee to start the brunch. Everyone at our table loved their food. The vegan lemon waffles? To die for!!! Everything was super fresh, craft quality & just so delicious! The vegan waffle batter was thick & the flavor profile was on point. Scrambled tofu with cheese was also amazing. Very cozy & beautiful place for a chill brunch with friends!
What’s an amazing lunch experience! From the food, to the atmosphere. The staff was so kind! We just stopped by thinking we would have a normal lunch and we ended up in one of the best places in Venice! Thank you so much for this time, nourishing us with incredible food and being so friendly.
The food is amazing here. Love the environment and ambience, bringing outdoors in. This restaurant should be featured. From the wellness shot we ordered taste so organic to the salted caramel coffee to my pad Thai , my husband raved about his Açaí bowl. The owner did a good thing here. Wait time was so little. Everyone was attentive including the owner herself. Walks around and helps her staff. GEM 💎 in Abbot Kinney. Cheers.
Butchers Daughter is a frequent visit for me, my friends and a constant recommendation for all my clients that visit LA! Jeff often seems to be my server when i go, and he is fantastic. We also hope its him when we pop in - He is so attentive, welcoming and ALWAYS checking on me/my table. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, its not always easy, but Jeff always seems to truly embrace his role and go above and beyond here. I would recommend requesting Jeff as your server if you go! Also, would love to shoutout the bussers - they are always SO friendly!! Not to mention the vibe of this place is so fun, whether your coming to do work or bringing your friends for a night out. My favorite is to go on a Saturday morning and sit on their patio :)
What a wonderful cozy vibe to enjoy some delicious vegetarian dishes!! The homemade breads are irresistible! The celery root sprinkled with pistachios as rich, and smooth with the occasional crunch of the pistachios! Super delicious!! This dining experience was topped with wonderful service from Gaby! Loved her low key helpful, friendly vibe! If you are in Venice Beach, the Butcher’s Daughter is a must try!!
Butcher’s Daughter – Venice (Abbott Kinney) Absolutely top-notch every single time. The smoothies are amazing, the coffees are excellent, and the food never disappoints — fresh, flavorful, and consistently well done. The service is just as good as the menu: friendly, attentive, and welcoming. This is our must-go spot whenever we come down to Abbott Kinney to hang out. Everything from the vibe to the quality is dialed in. Highly recommend — it never misses.
The vibes here are unmatched ☀️☀️ super beautiful and beachy space. The food was incredible - we got the ‘best egg sandwhich’ but veganized with tofu scramble & impossible sausage and it changed my life. We also got the butcher’s breakfast veganized & oyster mushroom calamari. The tofu scramble is soo flavourful & delicious! Also had really fun drinks like mimosa flights. Perfect sunny brunch spot. 5 stars!
I had such a great experience at The Butcher’s Daughter. Our waiter Emily has such a kind soul — she was super friendly and took the time to explain everything to us about the orange wine. The manager Ashley was also very welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I can honestly say that not only is the food good, but the people are too. We had the margarita pizza, and it was amazing. We also had white wine and rosé, both incredible, and we tasted some orange wine which was also very good. The aesthetic of this place is just unmatched. It’s such a clean, aesthetic, Pinterest-worthy restaurant that I will definitely visit again. The food came fast, the vibes were so on, and overall it was just a perfect experience.
As a vegetarian this is a landmark place for me. Imagine this is where plants and veggies come to party to create the perfect dishes. Even the smoothies look ready for a magazine cover. It’s that perfect mix of “I’m being healthy” and “I might still order fries.” The space is pure Venice — sun-drenched, leafy, and filled with people who look like they just came from yoga or a photoshoot (or both). Food’s fresh, colorful, and guilt-optional. The avocado toast is practically a local landmark, and the juices taste like they were mixed by someone with a PhD in vibes. We also love their Pad Thai as well as the Surfer burrito, available all day. Pro tip: if you have the option, sit outside — it’s the best people-watching spot on Abbot Kinney, and the sunshine somehow makes your latte taste 20% better (scientifically unproven, spiritually accurate)
We had the most amazing dinner at The Butcher’s Daughter last night! 🍷 Their wine flights were such a fun and delicious way to try a variety of pours—each one was perfectly paired and absolutely delightful. The food was just as incredible—every bite felt so fresh and flavorful. The pasta was rich and comforting, the pizza was perfectly crisp and loaded with flavor, but the star of the night for me was the gnocchi. Hands down the best I’ve had—it just melted in my mouth! The ambiance was warm and welcoming, the service was spot on, and everything about the experience made it such a memorable evening. Already counting down the days until our next visit!
Great place for drinks & small/big plates :) The place is vegetarian but it’s a non issue as everything’s so good so you can enjoy a whole meal without paying attention to it. The drinks are VERY good - especially on happy hour (afternoon of discounts on specific wine glasses, beers and cocktails) + they have daily offers (Wednesday afternoon all wine bottles are half price). A MUST - appetizers of broccolini and cauliflower alongside with cold sangria & a twist of espresso martini
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food and service here are excellent. The red onion tart was absolutely amazing—full of flavor and beautifully presented. The spicy watermelon margaritas were another standout—refreshing with just the right kick, and the bartender is top notch. What’s also great is their bakery: after 8 PM, all remaining baked goods are just $1! The coffee cake and muffins are fluffy, fresh, and really tasty. I’ve also vouch wonderful things about their pizzas—crispy, light, and loaded with fresh toppings. Overall, this place is a real gem in Venice for a laid-back vibe, delicious food, and great drinks. Highly recommended!
The Butcher’s Daughter – Stylish, Satisfying, and Full of Flavor The Butcher’s Daughter on Abbot Kinney delivers on every front—delicious food, warm service, and a beautifully curated atmosphere. The space has a cool, airy vibe that feels equal parts trendy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. I ordered the gluten-free vegan waffles with maple syrup and added a side of bacon—the combination was absolutely perfect. The waffles were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. The bacon added that savory contrast I was desiring. The staff were friendly, attentive, and created a genuinely pleasant dining experience. Whether you’re plant-based, gluten-free, or just looking for a great bite in Venice, The Butcher’s Daughter is a must-visit spot with great vibes and even better food.
If you're looking for a vegetarian/Abbott Kinney atmosphere, popular with the locals, this is the perfect place. The food is vegetarian but you can find quite a few things to order if you're not a vegetarian like me. I had a mushroom pizza, and let me tell you, it was good. Quality of mushrooms was excellent. Perfect mix in a base of garlic. And a dough many pizzaiolos should envy, was sprinkled with arugula.
This is a very nice vegetarian restauraunt. They offer a variety of options which is nice, but as someone who isn’t vegetarian, the flavors were a little bit weak/off to me. The Greek Style Eggs were pretty good, but the burnt flavor from the charred sourdough was a bit overpowering. I liked the addition of avocado on the side, but I think more feta would’ve enhanced taste. My family also commented that the Surfers’ Burrito and Impossible Burger both tasted okay, but that they were both a little flavorless. The Pure Passion juice was delicious and refreshing though, especially if you like sourness! Other than that, service was good, and the atmosphere was probably the highlight of this restaurant. Really nice to sit in the outside area, much quieter than inside. Overall, I think this is a good option for vegetarians but if you aren’t used to vegetarian meals, it may not suit your taste. I will mention, we didn’t get to try the salad or pizza but both looked very yummy too.
Really love having access to a vegetarian spot. The food was great, especially the mushroom calamari and Pad Thai. It’s not vegan but they’ll ask if you’re ok with eggs, etc. Very friendly wait staff and super helpful. We did have a bit of an issue regarding our seating but happy with everything else.
We had a fantastic experience at The Butcher’s Daughter! We ordered a waffle, a burger, and a coffee, and everything was absolutely delicious. The restaurant offers a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options, making it a perfect spot for plant-based dining. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a beautiful garden-like vibe that made it feel incredibly cozy. The service was excellent, making the entire visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Our server had on a mask that covered his entire face, so the service felt cold and indifferent. We could not hear him speak or read his face, so not a good experience. We quickly asked for to-go bags and left.
