Fantastic tacos at a good price. Loved the carnitas, chorizo and al pastor. The green salsa was both tasty and a little spicy! Delicious. They came out pretty quick and there was a decent amount of shade to eat lunch without being in the full sun.

Ok Mexican here giving an honest review for what it’s worth. I really enjoyed this place! The food was like a home made meal really solid they won’t knock your socks off but that’s not there goal it is a solid hispanic house hold meal! I saw Mexicans make the food and I knew it was gonna be a hit and so it was! I had a burrito and asada fries and it was genuinely a amazing meal it exceeded my expectations. Music is great patio is ok it’s outside so yea your table might be dusty but I really don’t care reminds me of eating out in Tijuana live with it I love this place. Cashier lady was beyond amazing and kind the cooks met our weird needs the food was just amazing I don’t know how to describe this. If your looking for a good solid perfect Mexican experience come here give it a go. I stoped just because it was appealing and right in front of me and I do not regret it this is such a hidden gem. Price wise it’s just like anywhere else honestly can’t complain there money well spent in my opinion. Massive thumbs up!

This was my first time here. Even though my daughter has been telling me what great tacos they have, I decided to try the nachos with carnitas (they have 10 different meat options). Outstanding...starting with housemade tortilla chips...which is a game changer for me when it comes to nachos. At the end, when I was pretty much stuffed, I was still fishing out the chips to devour, they were so good. The guacamole was fresh, shredded Jack and cheddar cheeses (not the Velveeta or whatever some of those other places use), tomatoes, onions, cilantro, jalapenos, sour cream; and generous amounts of carnitas (there were some of the crunchy, tasty bits of the pork in there also). The perfect ratio of chips to "stuff." Next time I'll try the tacos...or maybe I'll just keep getting nachos! 😁

The best tasting carnitas and chicken tacos I've had in a long time in Ventura the meat is so lean there is no absolutely no fat and the way they cook it is delicious not to mention the delicious habanero salsa and the bread salsa they have I will go back every week and I ordered a pastrami sandwich and it's probably one of the best I've had in years

Th food here is GREAT! The sopes are perfectly crispy and really flavorful! Service is quick & friendly, atmosphere is good, they have umbrellas up and have added some shade sails above the eating areas. Bewate the pork chili verde, it's a little spicy! But so far everything I have tried here has been awesome! Definitely recommend!

I have since relocated from the 805 and really miss the food. I would drive back for it if time permitted. Al pastor is awesome, but ironically their chicken recipe is what I can't forget---chicken burrito, chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, chicken anything. Very tasty spicy salsa, they don't call themselves Diablo for nothing! And get those fryer fresh chips, quesabirria, chicken burrito, a carnitas torta, and some fish tacos!

I love the food here. Best chicken tacos! The salsas are definitely on the spicy side but they are very flavorful. This has become my go to spot.

This place is SO good. Fish tacos were perfectly done, not overly battered. Light, crispy, with a tasty sauce on them too. Shrimp tacos were top notch also tossed in a tasty sauce.

We got there early on a cool, cloudy summer morning so no one else was around. It's a small, roadside stand almost so all seating is outdoors but there's plenty of space. The food is so good. Their asada fries are definitely worth writing home about and the quesadilla is delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Sooo good. We ordered carnitas tacos, pastor tacos, asada fries and a asada slopes and two quesa birria tacos so the family can try alittle bit of everything. And OMG everything was so delicious. We drove home after ordering so from Vta to Oxnard and it was all still wonderful. If we wld have eaten there I'm sure it wld have been even better crispier but even with the drive tasted great. We will definitely be back. The salsa wowza those are like liquid fire so good and spicy. And the guacamole on the asada fries were like delicious chunks of avacado it was fresh and delicious. We really liked it.

My go to place in Ventura. Favorite food here.... the sopes! Chili Verde or the asada were very good. Taste like home made, warm and fresh. Never had a bad experience with either one of them. Don't know if there's anyone else who has the taste and quality. The Chili Verde burrito was also excellent! Come try this place against your regulars and you will be back here for sure. I highly recommend.

I recently moved to Ventura & have loved this place, I would come all the time but there’s always one very rude cashier girl at the front (Sydney wrote a review probably speaking about the same girl) she has made me not want to come back to my favorite place to eat. She has brown hair and glasses. Very disappointing a single person can ruin a business. There is another girl that is also a cashier and is very sweet I’ve never had bad experiences with her. I am nothing but nice, but I think this is going to be my last time going and if I do and she’s there I won’t be going. (4/23 5:00 PM)

We've been here several times since they opened. Their food is good, alittle pricey, but we don't mind paying for good food. We usually spend $65-$85 when we go. I went tonight to pickup food for my family for my husband's birthday. He wanted a Jamaica which I had forgot to order. When I remembered (still waiting for my food), the girl told me she already closed the register. I asked if I could pay her next time (as we are usually there weekly) and she responded "No, you can pay for one next time". I get that not everyone is honest and would come back to pay, but I did just spend $65 on food+tip. I just didn't think the customer service was great. We own a business, and I would have given the drink as a courtesy in hopes the customer returns rather than losing a good customer. Just didn't sit well with me.

Extremely over salted shrimp, it made the tacos terrible. Also really pricey for tiny tacos. I honestly don’t understand the good reviews, the service and food were terrible.

Wow super disappointing. Ordered the quesabirria which was $10, and it came with only two extremely small tacos. Tasted fine, but not filling at all and not worth that price. There’s a really awesome taco truck in Ojai that sells them for the same price and gives you 4 large ones. Go there instead

Honestly as a Northeast LA native Tacos El Diablo in Oxnard slapped. And I have always recommended my friends from LA to eat there if we were in the area. Going to the location in Downtown Ventura, I had high expectations based off my past experiences in Oxnard. The menu was very limited. When I ordered an horchata the water was pretty watered down I asked the cashier who was a young girl honestly didn’t think much of it just thought they would replace the drink. The cashier and the cook came over and made it a big issue to replace the drink stating it was normal. I didn’t even ask in a bad manner just like “ hey it’s really diluted can I replace it for another drink” they were pretty rude. I’m a chicana born and raised in NELA so that was weird and then there attitude was off putting. With the replacement they gave me a Jamaica and that tasted like it wasn’t prepared but with fear these individuals might spit in my drink I pretended it was okay and just went on about my day. I am upset with how they handled the situation they could have provided a replacement without an issue but made me think business was suffering since they couldn’t even correct their mistake cause it would cost them business. Made me not respect their business as I did not ask for a free handout I payed for my food and was just trying to enjoy my meal. For them to escalate the situation and make me feel uncomfortable is not okay and not acceptable if I’m quite frank. After reading reviews this business needs to chill that’s not proper etiquette for business looks bad. Talk about good tacos and bougie Guisados Tacos in LA that has handmade tacos, a location in Beverly Hills by Dodger Stadium and in South Pasadena etc. Nicer areas and way better costumer service. This is not okay, I’m disappointed.

I like the food and have been a loyal customer since opening… but today I forgot my water bottle at work so I asked for a cup of water. They only have bottled water available for purchase. I am disappointed that I was not allowed a cup of water to enjoy my meal.

They will not sell you Chipotle sauce unless you buy a fish taco or burrito? I want Chipotle on my chicken tacos, nope. They refuse to sell me Chipotle sauce. They sell food for a living, I have money. Nope. Tacos are amazing though.

I am a frequent customer here but one of the female cashiers made very rude comments and assumptions about me in regard to my height and body. Very rude employee! Very stingy and disrespectful. There’s nicer ways to speak to your customers. Be kind. Food wasn’t even that good to be acting that way. And tables were dirty, they got more things to worry about.

This place is absolutely rude. Overpriced, at first they're great but when you go near closing time they get rude and mad who closes 8:00pm at night on a weekend?!! Alot of people came besides me and they wouldn't help or serve them. The second time I went 15 minutes of closing they got rude because I was coming near closing and I asked for a certain amount of salsa and they ruled their eyes and gave me only two things of salsa for four tacos do not go very stingy people.

This company really sucks. The food is good but they do not care about their clientele. I ate at the ventura location with my employee on 1/23/25 and when they swiped my card, their systems went out. The lady said I needed to pay cash since the charge did not go through which I did. Then on 1/29 the following week, they charged my card. I was not at their location and called three times regarding the situation. Each lady said the owner was informed and I still have not gotten a call back. Thank the lord I had the lady write me a hand written order receipt. But the owner has wasted hours of my time and I have to now get my bank involved. I will never eat at any of their locations again.
