I don’t get the bad reviews from some folks…maybe they don’t travel much. This place was awesome! Don’t sit on the restaurant side, walk through the little door to the back and sit near the bar. Maximo the owner is super cool and friendly. Food was fantastic. Prices were cheaper than other places in Liguria. We enjoyed it so much we stayed long past lunch just to enjoy the atmosphere and chat with folks. People playing the piano, folks singing…it was a blast. Is there occasionally a restroom line? Of course there is! Vernazza is FULL of rude tourists coming in to use the the toilet without patronizing the joint. That’d make me irritable too if I was the owner. Relax, slow down, appreciate that you’re in one of the most beautiful places on the planet and try to fit in! This was one of the highlights of our trip.

I was strolling around Vernaza and heard a song playing inside a cafe'....Italian singing, some interesting whistling, and some dobro in the background. I thought to myself, "What in the world am I hearing? is that Italian bluegrass?!?" I walked inside and fell in love with the Blue Marlin bar. I stayed for seven wonderful songs until it was time to catch the train. There may have been an Aperol Spritz involved.

I visited here late one evening for drinks and pizza, both of which were delicious. The owner was so friendly and danced around singing and playing the piano, truly immaculate vibes. Check them out!

Nice staff. Good food for good prices. We had two pastas and two wines for 23 euro. The pasta was al dente and spicy. The wine did taste good. For the combination quality vs price 5 stars.

My husband and I stopped in for a light breakfast, and came away with an unforgettable memory & friend in Vernazza. Although we’ve been on vacation in Italy for over a month now, we can honestly say that the cappuccini and cornetti here are the BEST we’ve had in all of Italy. More importantly, the owner, Massimo, is among our most treasured memories for his humor, kind heart, joy for life, passion for Thoreau, and his dedication to his customers. We had breakfast here several times and each time we were delighted by Massimo’s charm, watching him interact with his customers, and the great food and service here at the Blue Marlin. Do yourself a favor and come here to experience great food, service, and company.

Delicious salade, friendly staff, good drinks. prices are okay, high quality stuff. The aperol spritz is very refreshing after a hike. We came from corniglia

Opens early! At 0700. Has actual eggs for breakfast! You can get them fried or scrambled. The cappuccino is decent. The fruit smoothie is banana based but tasted so good after eating a lot of carbs…

Ho pranzato in questo delizioso ristorante/bar arredato in modo originale tra quadri e oggetti musicali. Il proprietario un personaggio molto estroso, ma accogliente e simpatico come tutto il personale. Buoni i primi le focacce e ottima la torta. I prezzi nella media. Lo consiglio.

Abbiamo pranzato in questo locale durante la nostra visita a Vernazza. Il locale ha posti sia all'aperto che al chiuso, diviso in due sale. Abbiamo mangiato le classiche trofie al pesto, molto buone e abbondanti I prezzi sono giusti vista la loro posizione. Un piccolo consiglio è quello di curare meglio il menù: in quello cartaceo portato al tavolo non vi sono né primi né secondi, che vengono riportati solo fuori su una lavagnetta. In questo modo il cliente non riesce a scegliere con attenzione e magari si perde delle pietanze che potrebbero essere ordinate

Bar e ristorante a Vernazza. Personale gentile e simpatico. Cibo buono e in assenza dei diversi ristoranti chiusi per la bassa stagione credo possa ritenersi un bel posto per fermarsi a mangiare. Per essere in un luogo turistico ...anche i prezzi non sono esagerati. Consigliato

Cheap and cheerful, pizza €11 and bruschetta €4, aperol spritz €7. Good people watching spot, right outside train station. Bathroom was horrific however, that was the low point.

After walking there from Monterosso, it seemed all pretty good, but realistically it’s prefabricated and heated up. The pizza tasted like deep-freeze margherita pizza with added toppings. Prices are appropriate, so ok.

Strange scrambled egg with pre made vegetables such as cucumber, carrots & tomato’s. No option with mushrooms or omelette. €10 for the scrambled egg but I wouldn’t recommend it

Arrived by train to Vernazza early in the morning and decided to have breakfast here. Ordered cappuccino and a croissant, both were acceptable and affordable (being on the town's main street). Spent €4 on average for both items. Had to pay inside at the counter

Make no mistakes, this is a bar that serves food, not a restaurant with a bar. Our mistake. We ordered a pesto pasta and a caprese salad. Both were okay, but the caprese salad came with dried basil… are you kidding me? This is Italy. The wine and sangria were good, though. When we were ready to pay with a credit card, they automatically selected USD$, which I didn’t appreciate, since the exchange rate is currently worse than when it’s calculated in euros. Pranzo al volo. La pizza è quella surgelata e le trofie al pesto sicuramente non fatte in casa. Abbastanza veloce nel servizio, c'è Verdone in bagno che ti guarda.

Sangria nella media, locale che serve cibo da colazione a cena, ma alle 18 no, alla richiesta di una focaccia ci hanno detto che servivano solo bere, anche un altra coppia ha chiesto un piatto di pasta ma niente cibo per l Happy hour ( noi abbiamo ordinato 1lt di sangria,l altra coppia se n'è andata), mentre alle 18.30 ci sono patatine e pizzette, per cui attenzione all'orario. Buona musica.

We came here for drinks and decided to have dinner. The waitress was super rude when taking our order and when she brought our stuff. When we asked to have one of the pizzas they had on the menu she told us that they only had margarita, when the pizza arrived we saw it was clearly a frozen pizza. The drinks were good and the prices were okay for a tourist place, and the decoration and the music are nice, but the service and the food were disappointing.

Mi sono recato in attesa del treno abbiamo un caffè e uno spriz il hanno portato il lo spriz e un caffè. Risultato il caffè dimenticato e lo spriz servito senza neanche una nocciolina. Fatto presente al cameriere il quale ha risposto che nn aveva tempo (locale vuoto) inoltre ha tagliato corto alla nostre rimostranze con un bel Vabbè . Stato veramente cafone consiglio al proprietario di licenziarlo perché un locale così carino e’ un peccato che sia gestito così

TRUFFA. Ordinate due focacce a 2 euro l'una, ce ne hanno portata solo una divisa a metà, spacciandola come se fossero due. Dunque abbiamo speso 4 euro per un minuscolo pezzetto di pizza, tra l'altro nemmeno buona. Da evitare assolutamente. Non abbiamo chiamato i carabinieri solo perché non avevamo abbastanza tempo a disposizione

Servizio scarso: abbiamo ordinato dei croissant e dopo un po' di tempo di attesa, ci hanno detto che non erano già pronti e che dovevano ancora infornarli, dopo altro tempo di attesa e sollecitandoli, ci hanno portato dei croissant con gusti diversi da quelli richiesti dicendo che avevano sbagliato ad infornarle. Sconsigliato per i tempi di attesa e servizio.

Working in the hospitality arround the world for years, i have experienced many places arround cheap and expensive. After been welcoming without smiling and crazy rain outside, the waiter propsed us to seat in front the door open with cold air. We delighted declined and propose another table close the cashier and the kitchen. We ordered two cofee one machiatto and one "allongé" with soy milk. After the raining stop we décided to leave. The bill was upper than expected and the waitress wanted we paid a glass p Of water from the sink " tap water" No service, the review on the food didnt give us the will to stay there. Im not recomanded this place.

Wow… I’ve never had such rude staff in my LIFE! Paid €1,50 for a “fruit salad” got a single banana… the staff was so mean, we got scrambled eggs with toast (a single, small bread) without any salt… Only nice thing is that it has a place to sit. So sad.

Stopped here to relax and ordered. They would not allow patrons to use the washroom. I overheard another lady ask to use the bathroom and the guy wanted to charge 2.50. Absolutely. Ridiculous. No happy faces at this place. If you have a restaurant and do t like tourists, then you are in thr wrong business. Everyone should do him a favor and stop going to this place.
