Looking for a gluten-free meal in Bormio, I found this wonderful place. Short menu, simple ingredients, but my meal was clearly designed to delight, and it did. The service was perfect, with the staff kind and attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend.

A quality of food and standard of service is good. Risotto is said to be Vege, but it comes with bacon. All tasty, interesting and worth trying.

Interesting place, very helpful stuff, interesting dishes, but as for me- lack of flavor in every dish. Well cooked food, beautifully served, for my taste Not salty, not spicy, tasty , but not wow. Not planning to be back.

Very good service and great food. We started with the carpaccio of shrimp, then the typical pasta from the region and another pasta with cervo di ragu, then the lamb with lentils. And we finish with the chocolate sphere and coffee. All of that plus wine and coffee we paid 108 euros in two. I think the price was fair for the quantity and quality of food. I super recommend the pasta al ragu di cervo and the carpaccio di gamberi ! ( the pics I'll post is half portion because we divided everything in 2)

We chose to dine at Osteria la Bajona due to the excellent trip advisor reviews but we were surprisingly disappointed at the mediocre service and food. I understand that it is high season in Bormio…

The place looks fancy, but the whole experience was a disappointment. The food was overpriced and honestly not good enough to justify the cost. On top of that, they charged us for the bread they brought without asking and even for the oil — 2€ per person — and never mentioned it beforehand. If you expect transparency and decent quality for the money you spend, this is not the restaurant to choose. I left feeling ripped off, not satisfied.

Absolutely absurd! SCAM be aware! They charged us for the bread and service and then charged us for every person for the OIL we asked to use. Everywhere else in the WORLD it's free but here. Please do NOT go here.

If you want to get charged for oil, come here - it is only 2 euros for 5 ml (and they don’t disclose it before they gave it to us). And you have 3 euro coperto on top of that (which doesn’t include oil) Super strange food, not really good and definitely overpriced.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this place earned it. The food was okay, nothing special, but what really shocked us was being charged for the oil that came with the bread. Yes, you read that right — they charged us for the oil. It’s one thing to pay for extra items, but charging for the tiny dish of oil that restaurants normally provide with bread for free is just ridiculous. When we questioned it, the staff acted like this was totally normal. Spoiler: it’s not. Between the mediocre food, the unexpected charges, and the attitude, this was definitely not worth the money. There are plenty of places that value their customers — this just isn’t one of them. Would not return, and definitely wouldn’t recommend.
