Io e il mio compagno abbiamo mangiato questo weekend nella trattoria Sà Pesta ed è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Entrando si respira subito l'atmosfera della tradizionalità, il locale storico ha conservato tutto com era una volta già esteticamente, ma anche nei piatti serviti. Abbiamo mangiato i piatti tipici genovesi ed erano tutti ottimi, se andate dovete provare assolutamente il mix di torte salate e la farinata, che è stata una più buone che ho assaggiato a Genova. Grande rispetto per i giovani che vogliono conservare le radici della propria tradizione di famiglia come il ragazzo del ristorante Per chi cerca la tipica trattoria storica e mangiare davvero bene e semplice questo è il posto giusto!

Osteria, quindi non ci si può lamentare troppo dell'eventuale casino, ma posto storico, in realtà non so se avesse uno stile prettamente genovese, ma ricordava in un qualche modo la vicinanza al mare. Piatti super buoni, il coniglio alla ligure molto buono, prezzi su alcune cose sopra la media ma è anche un locale abbastanza famoso. Nel complesso sicuramente un posto dove provare i piatti tipici che consiglio!

Cena in una locanda storica tipica, ormai giunta alla quarta generazione di gestione familiare. Ambiente un po' rumoroso sia per la disposizione conviviale dei tavoli che per il fatto che fosse veramente pieno di clienti, con due tavolate in sala. Cena per due con degustazione degli antipasti tipici (torta di riso, bieta, cipolla, polpettone e farinata) cotti nel forno a legna. Come contorno una sostanziosa porzione di verdure ripiene (peperoni, cipolle, zucchine e melanzane). Il secondo è stato un piatto forte genovese: lo stoccafisso accomodato, con patate, olive, pinoli e olio. Non viene servito solo pane come coperto ma anche dei pezzi di focaccia genovese, oltre ai grissini. Per finire, un dolce squisitamente locale a base di Pan di spagna, burro e zucchero..la Sacripantina. Il tutto annaffiato con del buon vino bianco. A rendere più piacevole la cena la deliziosa presenza gentile della cameriera, alla quale abbiamo fatto dei sinceri complimenti. La locanda ci è stata consigliata da una guida locale Antonella, durante il tour cittadino "antiche botteghe" proposte dallo IAT che consigliamo.

Antica trattoria genovese che serve i cibi della tradizione ligure. L'ambiente è semplice, con tavoli ravvicinati, il servizio è cordiale e senza fronzoli. Ho mangiato farinata, torte miste (bietole, riso, cipolle) e coniglio alla ligure. Ho trovato tutto ottimo. Armatevi di pazienza in quanto non accettano prenotazioni e spesso si forma una fila per strada fuori dall'ingresso.

Very authentic local place for lunch (but the tourists have found it). The must-try faranata is superb. Very friendly service. Green minestrone was excellent. Fried bacala (cod) was delicate, fresh, and well seasoned.

We booked to enjoy Ligurian dishes and we were treated to the best. The staff were excellent and this family restaurant is a delight in the streets of historic Genova. They clearly have a passion for continuing the traditional food of the area. They catered for our adult daughter who joined us for a couple of days and was eager to enjoy pasta, however she has an intolerance to onion and garlic. She could only eat the plain troffiette, but with just Parmesan and a little bit of lemon(much to the shock of the staff) she said it was delicious as was the Pasta with a delicious creamy nut sauce. Thank you for such a treat and you are doing your grandfather proud!

This is the most incredible place in the whole of Genoa to try a selection of the best savoury cakes for Genova can make. You should definitely try their onion cake and the spinach cake, plus farinata is absolutely divine. Sadly, it’s not open at night so you’ll have to try it during the day. The building itself is also beautiful, check the vaulted ceilings and the medieval decorations.

For service, dishes and atmosphere, all were so wonderful 👍 Because I was alone, I asked them if I could have half of the dish, they are so kind to offer me this service! I want to taste different traditional foods and all of them were so delicious! I could see the clients enjoy so much for the dish and for atmosphere too 😄 it's ok for dogs too! By the way, because the dishes were so good so I want to try their desserts, and I took out, the Sacripantina cake, sponge cake with two types of cream inside and some alcohol, so tasty! I recommend it!

HIDDEN SECRET …. For me ; 5 star is not enough. It’s a real food orgasm . Pansotti con salsa de noci was AMAZING .and plato misto de torti ❤️❤️❤️ waiters are also very sympathetic . I don’t agree with other comments about waiters. They are Italians :) If u visit GENOVA, dont miss. You can wait little bit, get ready because it is a very small restaurant.

This place is fantastic, you can taste real genovese savoury tarts and farinata (chickpea tart) fresh from the oven. You can find a lot of locals eating here, a guarantee not just about the taste, but also about authenticity and fair pricing. I recommend taking the mixed plate, which contains several savour tarts and a big chunk of farinata. The tarts are all amazing, they go from typical vegetable tarts to unexpected flavours like rice and stracchino (fresh cheese). My favourite overall was the stracchino and onions one. Amazing flavour, super sweet thanks to the onions. I would have eaten a whole pie. The farinata was also incredible, tender and moist at the bottom, crunchy at the top. I can’t describe it, you need to taste it. Staff is super nice, and the atmosphere is really from years ago. This place is a must go when you visit Genova.

LOVED the vibe. Food+atmosphere. If I really wanted to go to a Genovese restaurant, I’d probably go here. They are known for other foods, but I ordered the lasagna with pesto and it was tasty. They have the menu in multiple languages and at least one of the staff speaks English. I went super early on a weekday and I was able to get a seat. Totally recommend!

Yummy crispy Farinata made by a passionate 3rd generation owner with a wood-fire oven built especially to create the unique texture you cannot find elsewhere in Genoa. The restaurant’s interior feels like a retro dining room. Lovely vibe and super friendly staff too! As tourists we felt so welcomed. We loved the experience so much that we returned the next day for more Farinatas and pies. You can reserve for dinner only (or try your luck to walk in at 7pm or 830pm).

Authentic restaurant on the center outskirts. Not too many tourists evidenced by the fact I spotted only 1 bi-langual menu. Serves local cheese pancakes baked in wood fired oven. Also primi and secondi dishes are good. Food 5/5: simple and fresh. Calamari were tasty. Service:5/5 friendly, quick and efficient. Environment: either outside on the piazza or inside. Definitely eat incite: historic tiled dining hall. Very cosy to eat on the wooden benches. In September we were the only non-Italian and place felt very much a lunch spot for the locals and some Italian tourists.

Antico locale nel centro storico di Genova, non molto grande a dire il vero ma a quanto ci hanno detto, lasciato come era una volta. Pulito, anche i servizi igienici tenuti bene. Ottimo il cibo e veloce il servizio. Non abbondanti le porzioni soprattutto quelle della farinata. All`ingresso ci ha accolto una signora bionda che probabilmente aveva avuto qualche problema prima del nostro arrivo e così non si è presentata molto cordiale ma piuttosto sbrigativa è è poco cordiale, pazienza, capita... Non accettano prenotazioni, se arrivate dopo mezzogiorno dovete fare fa coda e aspettare che qualcuno finisca è si alzi. I prezzi non sono proprio economici ma ci si può stare. Ve lo consiglio, anche solo per provare...

SaPesta consente di vivere, in un luogo che era destinato alla macinazione del sale grosso storico, un' esperienza immersiva nella cucina ligure. Si possono assaggiare vari piatti: le focacce liguri, la farinata, la torta alle biete, le sarde ripiene. Ottimi anche i primi come le trofie al pesto e le minestre. Non si può prenotare, ma se si è disposti ad aspettare un po' si ci può accomodare all' interno condividendo a volte un lungo tavolo. Il personale è gentile. Buono il rapporto qualità/ prezzo

A friendly local restaurant in the town center, near the sea in Genoa. The restaurant does not accept the seat reservation but it looked quite easy to find the seat. Almost all tables are shared table. There are many staff and all of them are very kind and fast workers. The dishes are excellent. The prices are standard for Genoa town.

The trofie al pesto were really good. Rarità was good, but the other torte were pretty average. The waitress was nice. But I didn’t feel really welcomed.

Il successo dà alla testa. Sono stato in questo posto 2 volte ed entrambe le volte sono stato trattato malissimo, con scortesia e onestamente senza un reale motivo. Il locale è frequentatissimo. Trovare posto è difficile e se ti siedi alle 20 alle 21 te ne devi andare. Se hai ordinato il primo non puoi ordinare il secondo finito il primo. E in generale qualsiasi cosa chiedi alla cassa vieni trattato male. Io non nego che la farinata sia buona, il coniglio direi ottimo e le varie torte di buon livello. Ma questo non autorizza a trattare male i clienti: lavorate in un locale di successo non siete nobili medievali, dateve na calmata.

Sono partita appositamente per portare una persona a mangiare lì, una tappa fissa ogni volta. In questa occasione però non sono rimasta molto contenta. Una volta seduti, nell’attesa di gustare come sempre le ottime specialità, ho chiesto al cameriere se fosse possibile avere da asporto (servizio che il locale offre) una porzione di farinata e una di polpettone. Mi ha risposto di chiederlo al momento del pagamento. Così ho fatto. Arrivata alla cassa, la persona dietro mi ha detto di attendere 15 minuti per la farinata e io ho risposto che andava benissimo. Pochi secondi dopo, però, la proprietaria alla cassa mi ha detto che non era possibile. Insomma, tre persone e nessuna risposta coerente: una situazione poco chiara che mi ha lasciata delusa. Peccato, perché sono tornata a casa a mani vuote senza poter portare ai miei bambini ciò che avevo promesso. Sul cibo nulla da dire: se torno ogni volta un motivo c’è. Questa volta, però, il servizio non è stato all’altezza della solita gentilezza.
