Se cerchi un rifugio in montagna caratteristico è il posto che fa per te. Cibo rustico ottimo. Tutto fatto in casa. Polenta spettacolare e tutto abbondante. Servizio gentile e rapido. Consigliatissimo.
Always excellent! We go there often and they never fail to impress. Good food in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Mountain menu, served on a rough stone table, in the shade with a nice cool breeze.
Exactly what you'd expect from an alpine refuge. Game, polenta and mushrooms, pasta, stew, and desserts... everything in keeping with the location, and the view is amazing. The price is average. We'll be back.
We went there last week, stumbled upon it by chance. We had tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, tomato, and venison sauce. Everything was very good, flavorful, and plentiful. A lovely slice of blueberry tart, delicious. We'll be back to try the polenta with its various accompaniments. Good value. Highly recommended.

In all my years of coming to Vigezzo, I regret not discovering it sooner. I think it's the best restaurant in the area. Friendly staff, delicious meat (we tried the Pietra Ollare), and perfect polenta! For the little ones, fettuccine with tomato sauce or ragù and fries. Perfect price for the quality and quantity. I'll be back soon. Remember to bring cash, as internet/phone service may be lacking for card payments.
Excellent food. Unfortunately, you don't know the prices in advance. Three euros for a paper placemat is too much. And six euros for dessert is too expensive.
We visited this refuge for dinner, reserving the "pietra ollare" (soapstone). The place is very warm and welcoming, with a lovely fireplace. We enjoyed both the tagliolini and the "pietra ollare" (soapstone), which is served with plenty of meat and baked potatoes, as well as the desserts, but unfortunately the menu is very limited (for example, there's only one type of pasta). I also want to point out that the POS doesn't work, so you'll have to pay in cash.
A welcoming refuge, dishes in line with other local restaurants. I gave it four stars, thanks to the view with its characteristic giant bench, the naive-style huts and meadows. Nature is the protagonist of this valley! Excellent. When you want to turn off your ears and open your lungs, this is the right place. 👍
We stumbled upon this place by chance while hiking in the Vigezzo Valley and, feeling hungry, decided to stop. It's a welcoming, family-run restaurant with friendly, helpful staff. We only tried the first courses, which were truly delicious, though the signature dish is the polenta with meat, which we'll definitely try if we're ever in the area again. Prices are reasonable and in line with what we're used to. And if Renato Pozzetto was there (as pictured), it's definitely a place where you can eat well!
A pleasant lunch stop after a stroll at about 1,300 meters above sea level. Excellent food, tagliolini with mushrooms simply fabulous. Ask for a second course of polenta with various appetizers (venison, stew, and the ever-present "bruscitt"). Absolutely reasonable prices and friendly staff despite the summer crowds.
It's a restaurant where the food is good, simple, unpretentious, and reasonably priced. They should improve the look of the place a bit: remove the plastic chairs outside; renovate the (unsightly) galvanized staircase leading to the terrace, perhaps covering it with wood that matches the rest of the restaurant; and the table service should be more coordinated.
Two platters of cold cuts, a small cup of Russian salad, a small cup of beans and onions, two tagliolini with venison, a dessert, half a liter of house red wine, half a liter of sparkling water, a coffee: €58. Cash ONLY.
Excellent food. The service isn't up to par with the cuisine. A serious issue is the lack of transparency regarding prices, with dishes you didn't order added to the bill and others marked up compared to the prices posted outside. The waiter is unreceptive and confusing, and the manager is rude after asking for clarification. Furthermore, you can't pay by card, even though it's not a completely isolated area. I wonder how anyone can pay if they don't know about this and don't carry cash.
