Update : I really like this place and I always recommend it the food is honestly some of the best around. I only had one issue today when the person in charge wasn’t there, and there was some confusion with my order. Aside from that one experience, everything has always been great. The food quality is excellent, and I’ll definitely keep coming back.
I've eaten here a few times, half of them when a Groupon was offered. The food here is pretty good. Authentic flavors, decent sized portions, and fair prices. I have never had to wait to be seated, but I've always dined in the late afternoon to evening. Customer service here has been consistently good, no wait for refills and no problems using the Groupon coupons I've shown up with. As far as Mediterranean food goes in San Antonio, this is a pretty decent place to eat if your in the area. The restaurant is located in a shopping center just across from the mall and makes a decent place to eat if your not wanting to dine in the food court. My favorite items to order here are the Doner Kabab and the Kofte Kebab, both of which are excellent and have good flavor. If your new to Mediterranean food I highly recommend trying these items as they vary in flavor from place to place, but this restaurant has some that are pretty good. I will be returning to dine again. Food Quality 8/10 Price 7/10 Location 9/10 Customer Service 8/10
Our server, Talha, was fantastic and took the time to walk us through the menu and break down the options, which we really appreciated. The complimentary homemade bread and dipping sauce were amazing to start. We tried the Chicken Döner Pide (their specialty pizza). A must-try! & the chicken Tava (stew) was so incredibly flavorful. I took leftovers of the chicken Tava home and was literally dreaming about it later... it was that good. This is definitely my new go-to spot in town!
My wife and I ate here for lunch today and just loved the flavors here. The atmosphere was nice, the staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back.
We stopped by for lunch this past Sunday. We aren't from San Antonio, so we really just chose this place because Mediterranean food offers a lot of Vegetarian options and was near the airport. The parking lot for the entire complex was empty, which was a potentially bad sign. We walked inside and the gentleman behind the counter greeted us and told us to sit anywhere. We were the only ones dining in, but we noticed a few door dash orders coming through. Mind you, this building is older and in need of repairs and updates BUT the economy is trash and we can't hold that against anyone. We started with what was probably the best hummus I've ever had, fresh bread and Sigara Boregi (which was delicious. The phyllo dough was flaky and crispy) I had the falafel plate, very much enjoyed it, my friend said his lamb was flavorful, and my boyfriend had the chicken tava. The portion sizes felt great. We were all full and satisfied without feeling like we overate or had a lot leftover to go to waste. We also stayed to chat for a while and never felt rushed to leave after wed finished eating. Service was polite and overall the experience was very enjoyable. What the restaurant lacks in appearance was made up 10 fold by the food. We will absolutely be back next time we re in San Antonio.
The Mediterranean Turkish restaurant offers an authentic dining experience featuring traditional Turkish Mediterranean cuisine. Located in a quieter section of a shopping area, the restaurant boasts a pleasant ambiance and is well-maintained, with a clean interior that adds to its appeal. Upon entering, I was promptly greeted and seated as the first customer of the day. After a brief wait, I placed my order for the feta plate as an appetizer. I also got the Mixer which includes a delightful mix of chicken, beef, and lamb. However, I recommend requesting that the appetizer be served in advance, as both the appetizer and main dish were delivered simultaneously. The establishment also provides complimentary bread, which is a nice touch. I suggest pairing it with the olive oil mixed with seasonings for a flavorful dipping experience, although it is worth noting that no additional condiments are provided. Hummus is available on the menu as well. Overall, this restaurant is a lovely choice for a casual date or a family outing. It offers ample seating and a comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic Turkish dining experience.
As soon as I walked in I noticed the place was nice, clean, and well lit. I ordered tea and Doner Kerbab plate. Fresh hot bread was delivered to my table and in short time my order arrived nice and hot. This came with Kerbab on a bed of rice and garbanzo beans. The plate also had fresh salad, a fire roasted tomato, and a fire roasted chili pepper. The portions were huge. For dessert I ordered baklava. This was a nice treat to end the meal. Overall wonderful experience, great value, and authentic flavors.
We love Turkish food, and we have been Pittsburgh’s Turkish kabab house as the bar to evaluate other places. We have been to many places, but always felt those places fail short on some aspects. But this restaurant has passed the bar. The portion is big, but more importantly the meat is very juicy. When you bite into the meat, no matter it is gyros, lambs, your mouth immediately fill with the moisture, the flavor, the taste. The naan is huge, freshly baked and still feels hot in hand. Baba ganoush is delicious too.
The food is wonderful here! The bread is freshly baked as you order, so its served warm. The Doner/Gyro sandwich and the grape leaves appetizer were both excellent. Great service and friendly staff. Nicely decorated, cozy atmosphere. They even use real cloth napkins. Will definitely come back whenever we are in town. They are located close to the San Antonio airport.
Such great food and great service. My husband and I shared the mixed grill. It was so good!! The beef was my favorite though. The dolmas with lemon squeezed on top was delicious. Our waiter was the best. He was so nice and easy to talk to. He just seemed like a genuine and happy guy. We will definitely be back!
My first time trying lahmacun and oh my gosh.... it was amazing! I have to have it more often! I tried their flan for dessert and it was so good... it was different from Mexican and Filipino flan but it was definitely an awesome experience for every bite. Their rice pudding is very delicious! We also had their mixed grill meat with rice and it was tender and super tasty! We will definitely be back! Thank you for the experience.
Delicious! A nice warm and relaxing atmosphere. Their food was all very tasty. Their salad was on point, just remember it is a Mediterranean and not American salad. Their coffee was pretty decent and the bread was on point. I got the grilled meat for one and it was all very good and tender. The sauce was a good blend and went well with all the meats.
My wife enjoyed and shared a Doner Kabob, thin slices of marinated lamb and beef on a bed of rice. I enjoyed a Turkish pizza, Lahmachun, thin crust topped with mixed ground lamb and beef and chopped garden vegetables. Both plates came with a side salad and a wedge of lemon. When we first sat down a basket with some flatbread was brought out, we both gave this item 2 stars, most places bring this out fresh and hot, this one tasted meh...we took a couple bites and left the rest alone....I enjoyed a small cup of Turkish coffee.
Update: I've gone back 3 times, and each time the quality had dropped. Overcooked kebob, less flavor, less attention to detail. Score lowered to 3 stars from 4, I'm tempted to goto 2. Overall good turkish food with excellent portions. The Adana kebob was a bit dry, but tasty. Service was excellent, mediocre ambiance. Perfect for take away, OK for dining in. If you want to get a lot of food, go no further.
Had never been here and stopped in for late lunch. Maybe I should have been weary that I was the only one in the restaurant or that the grade for cleanliness hanging on the walll was only a "B" (85 was the score), but I stuck it out anyway. Not my best decision. Ordered the mixed grill based on the waiters suggestion with a side of hummus. Food was below average (although it LOOKED good), and the chicken wasn't cooked all the way through. Not to mention $5 for a cup of hummus seems high for a dive restaurant. With a water, I paid $25 with a 20% tip. There's simply no reason for me to ever return.
Soggy kufteh sandwish! Doesn’t allow to send review on DoorDash app
DISAPPOINTED AND FEEL SO SCAMMED! My husband got the lamb plate which was more than the place we originally go to and it’s was disgustingly bad way over price for 4 over cook little meat PLEASE TAKE THIS ADVICE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Paid $70 for 2 plates and didn’t finish
Very disappointed in this place I’ve had it before and this time for almost $30 this is what I received. Maybe they only care if you dine in because it doesn’t look anything like the pictures or what I’ve had before. How is this a generous amount like the mix grill platter claims? Edit: Apparently the owner thinks it’s logical to serve 6 bites of meat for $30 Can you do me a favor Mr owner? Compare my plate with the others and you can see I’m missing meat too! And you don’t see that big puddle of grease on the top left of the plate? How dare you try and make it seem like you complied with my request. You should be ashamed.
