Excellent. Menu degustazzione (price very reasonable )consists in 3 courses of meals plus dessert with drink included was a new experience of eating.. The personal attention given by the owners was authentic and warm. I would highly recommend LA PARANZA if you care to have GREAT FOOD and if you care about connecting with people to have that memorable experience. ❤️🇭🇺

Now I actually loved this place. We ordered the raw fish plate, fish ravioli and spaghetti octopus carbonara. Food was divine. The atmosphere was to die for. The decoration and also the view we were seated at overlooked the harbour. DE-Vine. We were rushed slightly because we were walkins at 8pm. Additionally, the busboy is a bit decrepit because we had multiple plates - that he failed to take away. This made our table so congested and hard to eat. Definitely a hit with the tourists but beware of the €10 service charge just to sit down.

Extremely expensive and normal quality food; the price is not justified! Inexperienced staff and just for a fish for 2 people plus 1 coffee (without starter, without drinks, without bread, without desert), we paid 100 euros!!! Be prepared to pay the decoration, not what you eat! I do not recommend! There are many better restaurants at a much better price! Not a good choice! I regret

We have been waiting for 1 hour for our food. After 1 hour of waiting they brought us bread, and we asked when the food is going to be ready. They said 30 more mins. The staff did not inform us about such long waiting time in advance. We told we would like the food to be done faster. After waiting 10 more minutes they replied in will take another (!) 30 mins. We decided to leave this place and not waste our time anymore. Never had such terrible experience before. They probably have only one chef for 20 tables. Avoid this place at all costs.

Good things first: the fish we had was delicious. But it was not the fish we had ordered and on the bill it was also somehow more expensive than on the Menu. The waiter was just rude e.g. raised eye brows and had a very negative undertone in his voice when we didn’t want to order wine. Overall, go there if you want to enjoy some overpriced fish in a restaurant that doesn’t have a nice atmosphere. Update: The responses to other bad reviews in the past by the restaurant tells everything - we should have known better.

A tourist trap like most places we've been to in Portofino, (this one in S. Margherita Ligure wasn't the exception). The gnocchi and lasagna al pesto were appalling. Our main courses were not appealing either... on the bland side. And the fruit included in the menu was a basket of tiny oranges and yellow apples... Service was very friendly though.
