Siamo stati con amici a pranzo nel centro storico di questa bellissima cittadina, abbiamo aspettato più di un'ora per avere un tavolo. Oggi molti ristoranti erano chiusi per ferie e quindi bisognava pazientare. Questa pazienza è stata spesa e ripagata in maniera adeguata; i piatti che ci sono stati serviti, accompagnati da vino bianco fresco della casa frizzante e fermo, si sono rivelati molto buoni. Il tris di alici con frittelle di baccalà, la tartarre di tonno come antipasti, i primi molto gustosi ed appetitosi, penne agli scampi, paccheri all'arrabbiata con polpo e gli spaghetti alle vongole. Da elogiare anche la frittura mista di mare. Ambiente rilassante, le persone che hanno servito ai tavoli ben predisposte ed accoglienti, il conto nel complesso giusto escluso le bevande.

Siamo andati a mangiare all'osteria da cesare domenica a pranzo, eravamo 3 persone e abbiamo trovato subito posto anche senza aver prenotato. Il tempo di attesa è stato pochissimo, circa 10 minuti per 3 piatti. Il cibo era delizioso, le trofie al pesto erano buonissime ed i panzotti alla salsa di noci era fantastici. Il personale è stato molto accogliente e disponibile. L'ambiente molto bello e curato. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Esperienza davvero ottima! Il cibo è buonissimo, preparato con grande cura e con ingredienti di qualità: piatti saporiti, ben presentati e che sanno davvero di cucina autentica e homemade! Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è onesto, cosa sempre più rara e quindi molto apprezzata. Un valore aggiunto fondamentale è il servizio: Aurora, la cameriera è stata eccezionale, gentilissima, ospitale, sempre sorridente e molto simpatica. Si percepisce subito la sua competenza e preparazione, ed è stata impeccabile anche nel parlare inglese con alcuni ospiti stranieri, dettaglio per nulla scontato e che fa davvero la differenza. Atmosfera accogliente, si sta bene e viene voglia di tornare. Un’osteria che consiglio senza esitazioni e che merita assolutamente una visita.

A wonderful place to enjoy dinner in Portovenere. The waitress was incredibly kind, smiling, and welcoming, which made the experience even more pleasant. We stayed in Cadimare for two days and chose to drive here for dinner both evenings because the food was absolutely delicious. The service was professional and attentive throughout. The pesto dishes were outstanding – especially the trofie al pesto and the bruschettas, which were full of flavor and truly memorable. The desserts were just as impressive. The tiramisu had a very original presentation: a light and silky mascarpone cream served with coffee ice cream – a perfect combination, with the cream being beautifully smooth and the ice cream slightly firmer. The chocolate cake (fondant) was also excellent and served with the same mascarpone cream, creating a truly fantastic dessert experience. Highly recommended!

We chose this restaurant because they had risotto alal frutta di mare (and it was possible to only order for 1 person). It was spectacular! We'll prepared risotto and fresh seafood. We enjoyed the special calamari ripieno and the zuppa della pesce al giorno both in a tomato based sauce that was lovely. We drank the vino bianco della casa (frizzante) and a nice compliment to our meal. The staff was so welcoming and very proud of the food they serve. A memorable meal during our stay in Porto Venere! We highly recommend this restaurant!

This little hidden gem out of the tourist area was absolutely wonderful. First, the welcome was so warm and friendly. It's very small, a few tables only, we didn't have any reservation, but she found a table for us. Second, the food. I can't find the words to describe how good it was. It was homemade, perfectly cooked, and generous portions. We had a Bruschetta that was really good. Then, we had pesto pasta and clams pasta. The pesto was incredible. It is one of my favourite dishes but this one was perfectly made. The Tiramisu was not traditional. It was a coffee ice cream, macarpone and a biscuit on top. While it was not the traditional way. This adaptation was super tasty, I was very surprised in a positive way! We had such a great time, and I will definitely come back when I am back in Portovenere. Thanks again for this incredible experience!

Group of 4. We had an apperitivo, the pesto pasta, and seafood, everything was very good. The octopus was cooked perfectly. We also had the Cesare wine and tiramisu. The waitress is great and speaks Spanish English Italian and French. A great experience!

A charming eatery with wonderful flavors and an authentic feel. Our server was from the US and was so friendly and helpful. You must get the Crude e Burrata! It was so wonderful I forgot to take a picture! We also enjoyed the Trofie Al Pesto and of course the house special Carbonara. This place is so much better than the fast food places closer to the pier.

L’Osteria da Cesare è una piacevole scoperta nel cuore di Portovenere. Il servizio è impeccabile, con uno staff sempre attento e disponibile, che sa accogliere gli ospiti con grande cordialità e un sorriso sincero. L’atmosfera è semplice ma curata, perfetta per gustare piatti della tradizione ligure in un contesto autentico. La qualità del cibo è ottima: ingredienti freschi, piatti ben preparati e porzioni adeguate. I sapori richiamano la cucina casalinga locale, ma con la giusta attenzione ai dettagli. Ottimi soprattutto i piatti a base di pesce, che riflettono la freschezza del mare a pochi passi dal ristorante. Nel complesso, un indirizzo consigliato a chi cerca un’esperienza genuina a Portovenere. Merita sicuramente le sue 4 stelle per la combinazione di ospitalità, cura del servizio e qualità dei piatti.

Ristorante in ambiente da vera Osteria! Due sale... Una al piano terra e una al piano superiore con la cucina "quasi" a vista nella sala superiore. Si mangia prevalentemente piatti di pesce... anche tipici locali! Servizio veramente impeccabile con la ragazza molto carina, professionale e preparata a suggerire tutto quello che ci può essere di alternativo al menù!

Locale davvero grazioso, piccolo, intimo e romantico. L’atmosfera è molto piacevole e accogliente. I prezzi sono ottimi e il cibo, nel complesso, buono. Le trofie al pesto le ho mangiate anche migliori, ma onestamente non posso lamentarmi. Nota positivissima invece per il pesce spada grigliato: davvero squisito. Il cameriere è stato gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Consigliato, ci tornerei volentieri.

Unfortunately, after spending a few days in Portevenere we came to the conclusion that the food in general is not amazing and that multiple restaurants are owned by by the same people. They had the same exact 23 euro fixed set dinner. This restaurant and Porto 82 are almost the same. I had the sword fish special, and gnocchi scampi and my wife had ravioli and it was fine. Good by not great.

Osteria da Cesare in Portovenere (SP). It's not a tourist trap. I expected a bit less in terms of price, but it's still in line with the quality and abundance. This is a small restaurant in the alleyway of Portovenere, where the staff is professional and attentive to their customers' needs. I stopped in without a reservation and was treated to a decent meal with good quality. Anchovies in oil with butter and croutons, spaghetti with clams, and sliced ​​yellowfin tuna. All served with sparkling water, 1/2 liter of sparkling white wine, and finally a coffee and a good barrel-aged grappa for just over €70.

Rain caught us in Portovenere and we decided to "seek" shelter in the restaurant. It catches your eye when looking from the street. It is small but it has got a cozy atmosphere. The waitress was super friendly and talkative. The food was also excellent, however, the portions are too small for the price that you pay. At least in our case we ordered the combination of two dishes, and while the portion of pasta was sufficient, we were really dissapointed by the fish plate.

Esperienza piuttosto difficoltosa. Arriviamo al locale con prenotazione e ci viene chiesto di attendere che si liberi un tavolo. Nessun problema, aspettiamo volentieri. Nel frattempo, si libera un altro tavolo da due – diverso da quello previsto per noi – e viene fatta accomodare un’altra coppia, senza prenotazione. Pazienza, aspettiamo qualche minuto in più senza farci troppo caso. Ordiniamo due antipasti e due secondi. Uno degli antipasti, le polpette di baccalà (quelle in foto), purtroppo arriva freddo, alcune addirittura come appena uscite dal frigo. Gli altri piatti sono stati mediocri. Buono il loro vino alla spina. Il locale da fuori vanta aria condizionata ma all’interno non si sente praticamente nulla perche tutte le finestre sono aperte. Nel complesso ci è sembrato un locale acchiappa turisti. Un plauso invece va ad Aurora, che con grande professionalità e gentilezza gestisce da sola il lavoro di quattro persone. Complimenti davvero!

Abbiamo preso il menù del giorno al prezzo di 23€ con primo e secondo. Sconsigliatissime le trofie al pesto letteralmente galleggianti nell'olio, ho fatto notare il piatto alla cameriera la quale prontamente me l'ha sostituito riportandolo uguale con eccessivo olio; la cotoletta di pollo niente di che. Al servizio, nonostante la gentilezza di sostituire il piatto, do due stelle in quanto più volte davanti ai clienti la cameriera che si occupa della sala richiamava l'altra collega che era in enorme disagio. Ambiente carino ma non ci ritornerò.

Aldilà della gentilezza del personale e della professionalità del personale di sala, l’esperienza è stata pessima. Pasta con le vongole slegata e crostacei datati . Capisco la posizione turistica ma ci vuole del buon senso a mettere fuori questi piatti. Condizioni igieniche del locale a chiusura immediata dei nas . Wc / magazzino con cucine annesse mi ha fatto veramente rimanere sbalordito . I

Siamo arrivati senza prenotazione. A prima vista c'erano dei tavoli disponibili per 4, ma abbiamo chiesto la comunque disponibilità. Ci hanno fatto tornare dopo 30 minuti per darci il tavolo che era libero già al primo passaggio. Il cibo era discreto, ma la mesciua era totalmente cruda, piatto altamente sconsigliato. Ci hanno piazzato in un tavolo tondo, ingombrante e nel mezzo del passaggio di chiunque, una posizione molto scomoda perché i camerieri ad ogni passaggio continuavano a urtare le nostre sedie. Inoltre i camerieri ci hanno macchiato con olio due giacche, un cappello e una borsa. Fatto presente quanto accaduto, ci hanno risposto : "ehh, la domenica è sempre così....". Non abbiamo neanche ricevuto alcuna scusa per il danno causato. Personale totalmente improvvisato e incapace di una gestione corretta del cliente. Esperienza negativa, ma almeno sappiamo di evitarlo nel futuro.
