I had their takeout sushi and it was pretty good. It hit the spot. But pretty pricey… Would I order from here again? Yes. How often? Probably when my fav spot is closed this place would be my alternative. One thing I loved about their service was that they were fast! Like on a Monday night👏🏼
From the moment you walk in, you are treated like a guest of honor. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and gave excellent recommendations for both our meals and drinks. I ordered the sushi, and you could really taste the freshness in every piece—the shrimp tempura rolls were particularly delicious. We also tried the steamed seafood bag with snow crab, headless shrimp, potatoes, and corn topped with the 'Boom' sauce (a mix of all their sauces), which was fantastic. Everything tasted fresh, not frozen. The service went above and beyond my expectations, and the food was flawless. They also have hibachi tables which I will definitely try out next time .
This was a memorable experience for me in the best way! Such a warm inviting atmosphere and incredibly welcoming staff. The restaurant is huge when you get inside and there’s plenty of privacy depending where you sit. The hibachi was fireworks for my sister and I as we watched others tables enjoy it! We decided to get yellowfin and tuna rolls and calamari and the food proportions were right on and absolutely delicious! I had a great time at IKKO!
I had a great time at IKKO hibachi with my family. Our server did a great job and was attentive to my child and he even made a Shirley Temple that tasted so good. The margaritas he made was strong and tasty. The food was so delicious. The flavor was phenomenal. We order the lobster tail and shrimp steamed platter and it tasted so fresh and flavorful. The dumplings was chef kiss. They were fried and steamed to perfection. Please stop by and support IKKO. The food is delicious
## My Mind Was Blown at IKKO Hibachi! 🔥🥢 First-Timer Turned Obsessed (in NY!) Okay, people, buckle up because I just experienced something truly magical: my very first hibachi, and IKKO Hibachi in **New York** absolutely *nailed* it! From the moment I walked in, the energy was electric – the sizzling sounds, the tantalizing aromas, and the sheer artistry happening right before my eyes at the grill! Our chef was an absolute rockstar! Not only was the food incredibly delicious (seriously, the scallops were melt-in-your-mouth perfection, and those garlic noodles? Forget about it!), but the whole experience was pure entertainment. The knife skills were mesmerizing, the onion volcano eruption had me cheering, and the little culinary tricks were just plain fun. I was laughing, I was impressed, and most importantly, I was devouring every single bite. I honestly didn't know what to expect going into my first hibachi, but IKKO Hibachi completely exceeded any expectations I had. It wasn't just dinner; it was a full-on interactive show that happened to end with the most flavorful, perfectly cooked food I've had in ages. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, perfect for a fun night out with friends or family. The staff were all super friendly and attentive, making sure our drinks were filled and our experience was top-notch. Seriously, if you're a hibachi veteran, you already know the deal. But if you're a newbie like I was, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and head straight to IKKO Hibachi in **New York**. Prepare to be amazed, entertained, and utterly stuffed with incredible food. This wasn't just a meal; it was an *experience*, and I'm already counting down the days until I can go back for round two! Five stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up! 👍👍 #IKKOHibachi #Hibachi #NYCEats #NewYorkFood #FirstTimeHibachi #DinnerAndAShow #Delicious #FoodieNYC #HighlyRecommend #MindBlown
Firstly, to state this is my favorite restaurant. Of all of them. And for good reason. When I first came here, perhaps 2 years ago, I came for a party. The chef was great, and they were working on an outdoor area. The food instantly impressed us, and we came back constantly. The chefs' tricks are amusing, but I care more about the food. Nowhere else will the garlick noodles and steak be so good. It's better than the 2 other hibachi I went to. I have no other detail to add as you will understand everything when you come here. Invite your date here. This place is great. I recommend the noodles.
This restaurant was great. The whole staff was welcoming and very nice. They made accommodations for me, which was great because I did not want the hibachi menu, and it was no problem. The restaurant is nicely decorated. They show the chef put on was great. Very nice spot for birthdays and large gatherings. The food was good as well. Had a really good time here
Excellent place to come and have a great night with the spectacular Hibachi show!!! Delight yourself with the place, the hospitality, the flavors, colors, sounds and all that you can imagine of the Asian cousins in this place. Many different dishes made at your convenience if you like meat, chicken, fish, vegetables and other many many options. You can eat normally in any place, but the show makes all the difference. They really make you interact with all the table and with the chefs that always put smiles in your face. Again an excellent place with all the perfect decoration and excellent service. Congratulations! And for the handicapped people it is totally friendly. No problems at all.
Food was delicious but most importantly FRESH and nothing was overcooked. The portions were just right, but I did find it weird that the rice was a separate line item on the bill. The place is decorated tastefully. Great job and best of luck to them. Oh! And don't forget to make a wish as you tip the budda on your way out!
Food and service is always very good! Family and child friendly. We’ve been going there for 4 years now. The only downside is it’s too dark and gloomy inside.
We had a great experience at Ikko! We ordered a variety of dishes; sushi, sashimi, Sapporo beer, Thai chicken, crispy duck, King of the Sea, and the Thai wok. The sushi and sashimi were excellent; fresh and flavorful. The crispy duck and King of the Sea were also delicious and beautifully prepared. The only disappointment was the Thai wok. The flavors weren’t as bold or authentic as we expected; it didn’t really capture the essence of Thai cuisine. That aside, everything else was very enjoyable, and we’d definitely come back for the sushi and other specialties!
OK. Party of 9, no reservations we got an immediate table on a Tuesday evening. Great however we waited about an hour before the chef came over to our side to cook. Food is cooked and served in portions so rice was cooked and served, followed by meats /shrimps then vegetables. I like to eat my food all at once. I would recommend going with no more than 4 people (food would be prepared much faster) and not recommend if you're starving. Great atmosphere, very friendly and courteous staff.
Great food and drinks. You can choose Hibachi where they cook in front of you or regular tables. The service was good and entertaining. They were not the best at getting the drink orders 100% but the drinks were very good. The Hibachi side is extremely loud so choose the regular table side if you want a quieter dinner.
The overall experience was ok, I had a lot of fun. This is my third time at a habachi restaurant I feel like the chef could have been more engaging however we were sat next to two ladies who asked him to include us in trying to catch the veggies and giving us sake so kudos to them lol. The only downside was the rush we were celebrating my mothers birthday and the staff members kept rushing us. Other than that the food was amazing even tho shangerlia in Pelham bay sushi is a little better lol they didn’t even let me get a second drink bc they gave us the check! So you basically pay to get rushed out smh 🤦♀️
The best part of the experience was the habachi show. Our chef was very funny and very personable. The habachi food was acceptable however the other items from the back kitchen was lack luster. I felt the service could have been better and more attentive for a new restaurant. The interior decor was very nice.
I was excited to try the golden prawns on the menu which is supposed to be prawns stuffed with crab meat. Immediately wondered if it was imitation crab because I’m not a fan so I decided call and ask them. When I spoke to the lady on the phone she first told me yes it is imitation crab but then switched her answer to no saying it wasn’t. I asked her multiple times for clarity and she kept saying no it’s not imitation but if I wanted real crab meat she would charge $3 extra which is I why I asked again. I placed my order in Uber eats then called back to let her know my uber and the lady immediately told me that she seen my order already and informed the guy. When my food arrived i was excited to try this appetizer but immediately was disappointed and upset when i see it is imitation crab and the lady on the phone was not helpful. So I called the restaurant back looking for an explanation of how this could happen if I spoke to them multiple times and was told different. The First Lady told me that if I wanted real crab to get a seafood boil mind you this is a seafood and hibachi place. Then she says it wasn’t her I spoke to so she tells me to hold on, I can hear in the background they are discussing the situation in their language and then start laughing and then she comes back to the phone like oh we can’t help to ask uber for refund. Also the lady who I spoke to twice on the phone prior to my order completely ignored the fact that she told me the order did not come with imitation crab and that she informed the chef to use real crab if it did. These people have no integrity but always want our money even if you communicate something with them , they will not be upfront and honest and beat around the bush, a common occurrence with this race and lack of respect that I am tired of and will say anything for your money and have no accountability in their wrong doing. Will not be ordering from here again and you shouldn’t either for the reasons listed above.
