Storica trattoria romana (vera) in zona Termini. Consigliatissimi i primi, sia per le porzioni sia per la qualita dei sughi! Ottimi i bucatini alla matriciana flambe ma anche la cacio e pepe. Prenotazione consigliata vista la fama e la frequentazione di molti turisti (anche se i romani con la loro simpatia e presenza ci sono eccome!). Servizio rapido e molto cortese!

In questa trattoria si mangia veramente bene! Cucina tipica della tradizione romana in un locale accogliente. Mi raccondo prenotate!

Per me in assoluto l'amatriciana più buona della mia vita ed anche il resto dei piatti romani veraci, dalla carne alle verdure, sono da podio. Ambiente un po' rumoroso ma servizio veloce e professionale. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

Un'ottima trattoria romana. La carbonara era qualcosa di meraviglioso. I carciofi fritti non so... Mi aspettavo di meglio.avevani ancora alcune spine e in bocca pungevano. Vino della casa direi medio basso, non lo consiglio. Servizio un po' approssimativo e frettoloso ma ci sta, devono fare numeri importanti a pranzo. Andateci per la carbonara e non ve ne pentirete.

Locale zona esquilino conviene andare con i mezzi pubblici perché è difficilissimo trovare parcheggio se non in garage privati ,passiamo al cibo: bella scelta, piatti tipici della tradizione romana ,il carciofo fritto buono ma non è alla giudia è tagliato e fritto ottima la carbonara e l amatriciana flambe eviterei gli gnocchi non sono gran che, ottimo il carciofo alla romana, la cotoletta di vitello orecchie d elefante sufficiente è di dimensioni ridotte, buoni I contorni e il dolce, il vino della casa un po caro 13€ al litro,non si paga il coperto ma fanno pagare il pane.ambiente molto rumoroso,buono il servizio vi sono anche posti all aperto. consigliato

Ottima cena, noi abbiamo ordinato un tagliere misto di salumi e formaggi e a seguire una carbonara e i rigatoni con la pajata. Tutto veramente buono. Il servizio è proprio come lo si vuole quando si và in un posto così "alla romana". Tutti gentili, disponibili e simpatici. Posto che consiglio caldamente per un'esperienza autentica.

Trattoria Vecchia Roma, un bel locale, cucina della tradizione romana. Per entrare si deve scendere per delle scale, infatti il piano è seminterrato, ma molto luminoso e ben arieggiato, ci sono anche dei posti a sedere all'esterno! Senz'altro e preferibilmente prenotare un posto a tavolo, sia a pranzo e cena c'è sempre gente in fila in attesa! Molti tavoli all'interno, anche tavolate, ovviamente si sta un po stretti, ambiente è molto alla mano. Siamo stati a pranzo, servizio molto veloce e cordiale. Le portate, tipiche della cucina romana, molto generose e ben presentate! Locale da provare senza dubbi! Bravi

Superlativo per location, servizio e qualità. Mi ha portato il mio grandissimo amico Tommy, ha detto che bisogna prenotare preventivamente, in effetti arrivato in ritardo per colpa della metro, ho trovato una coda molto folta, per fortuna vista la prenotazione sono riuscito a scendere e raggiungerlo. Ampia scelta di portate e grande simpatia e cortesia del personale. Si trova molti turisti, ma anche tanti Romani, abbiamo ordinato in stile Poker "All in" con ottimo rosso sfuso e personalmente sono uscito veramente sazio e entusiasta. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

Dò 5 ma a malincuore perché meriterebbe 6 per il livello della pasta amatriciana che abbiamo mangiato . Il locale ha qualche tavolino fuori, ma è sviluppato prevalentemente in una sala al piano interrato. Abbiamo assaggiato la loro specialità, spaghetti all'amatriciana veramente superlativi . Porzioni abbondanti , prezzi onesti, tempi d'attesa Forse non velocissimi, ma completamente giustificati dal gusto e dalla qualità . Ci tornerò sicuramente. Assolutamente raccomandato prenotare.

È un locale incredibile, si mangia in modo spettacolare, e se prendete la amatriciana potete assistere veramente ad uno spettacolo. Consiglio vivamente di prenotare, è sempre pieno e anche giustamente

Se siete delle persone che mangiano tanto fare il menù antipasto, primo, secondo, dolce, acqua, vino, caffè e amaro a 35€ prezzo qualità imbattibile. Amatriciana spettacolare. Camerieri gentili e location bella. Consiglio di provare assolutamente questo ristorante.

Tutto buonissimo!!! Una delle poche trattorie che pur essendo turistiche sono buonissime. La porchetta - di loro produzione - è spettacolare, cosi come i carciofi. La pasta buona ma questa volta non come al solito.. non so se è perché siamo andati di sera e c'era moltissima gente. Meglio forse a pranzo c'è meno gente da gestire.

Se cercate una trattoria romana tipica questo è il posto che fa per voi. Dai piatti tradizionali alla pizza tutto buonissimo.Capi salso per il mio gusto l’Amatriciana Flambé davvero atomica. Ricordatevi di prenotare.

Came for dinner and was blown away! Waited about 10 minutes for a table but worth every second! Had a glass of prosecco! Started with the prosciutto e bufala which tasted amazing!!! My wife has celiac and order the carbonara with gluten free pasta and it was amazing and I had the Rigatoni al sugo di coda which was amazing!!

Lovely place, we stopped by for a quick lunch, was quite full so we had to wait a bit. Overall the food was great, the appetizers were absolutely delicious and the tiramisu..definitely recommend it if you find yourself in Roma

We began with the artichoke starter, which was perfectly cooked—tender on the inside with just the right texture, rich in flavor without being heavy. The supplì were outstanding: crispy on the outside, creamy and savory inside, exactly how they should be. The cacio e pepe balls were a real highlight—bold, cheesy, and beautifully balanced, a fun and elevated take on a classic Roman dish. For mains, the truffle ravioli were exquisite. The pasta was delicate, the filling rich, and the truffle flavor fragrant without overpowering the dish. We also shared a pizza topped with salami (don’t recall the exact name), and it was excellent—perfectly baked crust, high-quality ingredients, and a generous, flavorful topping. To top it all off, the wine was superb and paired beautifully with the meal, elevating the entire dining experience. Overall, Trattoria Vecchia Roma delivered exceptional food, great quality ingredients, and a truly authentic Italian dining experience. Every dish impressed us, and it’s a place we’d happily return to and recommend without hesitation.

What a restaurant- set in a semi basement this bustling restaurant deserves all the praise it can get. Efficient staff, operated like clockwork, amazing food, plenty of atmosphere. If the locals jostle to eat there then it must be good. I cannot praise it enough. I will return.

We didn't make a reservation, but since we stayed in line at the time that they opened and they had a free table, we can say that it was very kind of them to have us. We got a pizza menu and we could chose starters (we forgot to make a photo of them as they were so tasty), a pizza, a drink, dessert and a coffee. The tiramisu here was one of the best I've ever tried anywhere. The staff was very nice and kind ✨️

Fantastic dinner! Started off with the fried artichokes which were so good and served with a lemon wedge. I really wanted to have both pizza and pasta for my last meal in Italy, so I had the amatriciana pasta and the white pizza with sausage and zucchini flowers. It was all amazing and fresh. Definitely make a reservation, the place was organized chaos in the best way. Would definitely return!

Visited twice. With so many choices in Roma, we could have found another but just had to go a second time. Great experience both times. Food was superb, and the service was great. She recognized us on the 2nd time and treated us like old friends. Was even treated to a shot of their house limoncello. If we return this will be on the list!

Long queues are expected so either make a reservation will come early right at opening hour. Food is definitely worth it. Very reasonable price £13 for their signaturee flambe pasta. Orders come fast. Portions sizes are great. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Without reservation, likely you'll be sitting outside.

Was last here 6 years ago n now I’d returned! Chanced upon this place by accident then n never forgotten how good their pasta was. In those days we didn’t rely too much on social media reviews but I strongly recommend this place as their pasta was really top notch. Still busy as before but it is worse now🤪. Had booked this months ahead when I did my booking for Rome. Reasonable price with good quality of food. What more to ask for? My advice is to book online in advance.

A very crowded restaurant and the vibes are amazing the food was good too. Limited options for vegetarian/ halal/ non alcohol/ no pork options. Also need to be more organized at the entrance although we have reservations but we don’t know to whom we talk to, no one at the entrance receives people with reservations and we got confused with people waiting in the line.

Had to wait a couple of minutes for a table but that is probably a positive. Atmosphere is excellent, same for the food. Had the bucatini Amatriciana, the smokiness of the dish was probably suited to a colder night but the dish was perfect. Same for the humble roasted potatoes. The staff were attentive and fast even during an amazingly busy service. Had the White House wine that was also very good. Would definitely visit again.

We went here on our last night in Rome, and couldn’t have ended our stay in a better way! The food, service and atmosphere were all great I wish I could go back. Service was quick, as there was plenty of staff staying on top of dishes being removed and bringing food quickly. This was a big deal for us as parents with a toddler who likes to play around with everything on the table. But for the food, we had the Italia pizza and cod nuggets as a starter, which I am still thinking about! The mushroom ravioli and spaghetti I would highly recommend.

Locale caratteristico con arredi ispirati all'antica Roma, frequentato sia da turisti che dal popolo romano. Si scende una scala e vi sono molti tavoli in spazi ampi sotto il livello strada, inoltre vi sono anche tavoli esterni su apposito spazio recintato sul marciapiede e funghi per riscaldare in inverno. Vivamente consigliata la prenotazione se non si vuole attendere la fila fuori in piedi anche per un'ora. Difficile trovare parcheggio. Il servizio è puntuale e veloce, i camerieri corrono poiché la gente è tanta e i tavoli si riempiono in fretta. Il menu è tipicamente romano ma ci sono anche le pizze. Consiglio la cacio e pepe e la matriciana mantecata in sala all'interno della forma di formaggio. Per chiudere, ho apprezzato il tiramisù al pistacchio, variante del classico tiramisù che è comunque anch'esso disponibile sul menu. Prenotatevi, aspettate fuori che vi facciano entrare in base all'orario della prenotazione e buona degustazione.

Ieri a pranzo siamo stati alla Trattoria Vecchia Roma in via Ferruccio, traversa di piazza Vittorio Veneto a Roma. Il locale è carino tipico della taverneria romana informale manassolutamente piacevole. È sempre strapieno di gente e purtroppo è mooolto rumoroso. Ma a parte questo ci veniamo volentieri perché la cucina romana è impareggiabile. Il menù è ricchissimo di scelte tipiche della tradizione romanesca. Come antipasto abbiamo scelto un flat di carciofi con fonduta di pecorino assolutamente buono e raffinato da 10 e lode, un uovo al tegamino con una spolverata di tartufo fresco molto aromatico e piacevole. A seguire abbiamo preso spaghetti alla carbonara anch’essa con aggiunta di tartufo , spettacolari tanto erano buoni, e una cotoletta orecchie di elefante buona , ma troppo cotta e secca. Consiglio ai proprietari di creare un ambiente più tranquillo con più spazio tra i tavoli che garantisca più privacy ai clienti e un servizio più efficiente e meno confusiinario. Essere costantemente urtati dai camerieri mentre si sta mangiando e anche dai clienti che passano in spazi troppo stretti è snervante. Ciò nonostante amiamo i loro piatti e quindi Tornereremo sicuramente!

Una trattoria tipico romana con cibo buono e un ambiente istorico. All'inizio il servizio era scortese. Eravamo 10 min in ritardo per la nostra prenotazione e il manager sembrava molto stressato e stava correndo nella trattoria. Quando ci siamo sedute è stato bello. Il cameriere era molto gentile e l'ambiente era istorico. C'erano tante gente quindi ti consiglio di prenotare. La carbonara era buona, un piatto enorme, ma il guanciale era troppo croccante per me.

Siamo stati a pranzo per un evento aziendale. Il locale è al chiuso e sotterraneo ma i soffiti sono alti. L'antipasto era molto abbondante e le porzioni giuste. Il servizio è stato rapido e preciso (abbiamo concordato anticipatamente il menù). L'unico neo negativo sono state le patate che non erano proprio ben cotte, per il resto tutto buono (primi della tradizione romana e grigliata di carne).

Really excited about trying this authentic Italian restaurant that’s been around since the 1980’s. The waitress did her best to seat a group of six that did not have a reservation on a busy Saturday. Lots of great seating outside and inside. We were disappointed and surprised they didn’t have any calamari which is a staple at most Italian restaurants. We ordered the margarita pizza for kids which was perfect. Thin pizza with perfect crust and great cheese to dough ratio. Next we all had pasta for our main course. We had the Vaccina, a rigatoni with a red oxtail sauce. It sounded great but unfortunately lacked flavor and was extremely tomatoey which took over the dish. My wife had the Delizia, which was a tagliatelle with a pesto sauce and Salomon. Again the pasta had very little depth in flavor and no acidity to balance it out. My daughter had the Carbonara al Tartufo which was the best of all our dishes. Great cream based pasta that had a great balance of cheese and cream with perfectly cooked noodles. The service and atmosphere were both great but unfortunately three out of the four pastas missed the mark.

Wait staff moves with speed and efficiency. Not a place to linger at your table as they are very busy during peak dinner hours and in need of quick turn over of the tables. Cacio e pepe was full of flavor and pasta was perfectly cooked. Cabonara was also well prepared but was a bit too heavy for me (flavor of pork fat was too much). Bruschetta was a favorite. Carciofi all Giudia was delish. The tiramisu and Saltimbocca were... meh... At the end of the day, would recommend a try.

Pasta was very good though too salty. Prices are good and portions are big. The place is very cozy with a traditional look and all the traditional dishes. We made a reservation for lunchtime since often the olace seemed busy from the outside but it wasn't very crowded actually, though the service was a bit slow and we struggled to get the attention of our waitress.

La carbonara aveva una bella cremina ma il guanciale, brucicchiato e duro, sembrava più simile ai ciccioli di maiale, il tutto guastando il piatto. I secondi, coda alla vaccinara e trippa alla romana, erano ottimi.

This restaurant is clearly very popular and highly rated, and while the experience was good overall, it felt noticeably more tourist-oriented compared to other places we tried in Rome. We had to reserve a table in advance, and the place was packed with tourists. The restaurant itself is clean, beautiful, and very well designed — the huge parmesan wheels on display are impressive and make the place look quite spectacular. However, when it came to the food, it was good but slightly less special and less precise than what we were hoping for. Everything was enjoyable, just not as memorable or authentic as some of the more local spots we discovered. We wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place to someone searching for true, authentic Roman culinary experiences, but it’s still a solid choice for a comfortable, visually impressive meal in a central location.

Da anni frequentiamo la Trattoria Vecchia Roma e, in generale, siamo sempre stati molto soddisfatti. Purtroppo, questa volta l’esperienza non è stata positiva. Abbiamo ordinato i carciofi alla romana, che, per carità, erano buoni, ma purtroppo abbiamo trovato un insetto all’interno. Sembrava una piccola blatta. Comprendiamo che i carciofi siano a chilometro zero, ma trovare un insetto è stato davvero disgustoso. Per remediare hanno offerto i dolci della casa.

The food was mediocre at best. The porchetta skin was completely hard and inedible, which I could not even cut through with my knife. The pasta was hard as if it wasn’t cooked thoroughly. The tables were placed so close together and locked amongst each other that it would be impossible for us to get out without knocking over other tables. The only positive was the tomato sauce for the pizza, which was decently fresh and had the aroma of fresh tomatoes.
