We frequently come to Reno for appointments and always come here after. the food is great, have a selection of authentic food (ex: Szechuan), and have generous portions! The staff are always kind and accommodating as well. Would recommend!

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Reno! We are working our way through the menu and so far everything has been fantastic. The staff is always incredibly warm and friendly and the food is hot and fresh. Cannot recommend this spot enough.

Another great experience at the Wok with generous portions and service. Janet was our server and she was on point. we ordered sizzling seafood, chinese greens choy sum and green beans. 10/10 would recommend.

This is the best restaurant I’ve eaten at during my week of skiing in Tahoe — even more authentic than many Chinese restaurants in Boston! The service was also incredibly warm. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Reno!

I’m from Orange County, where I’ve had my fair share of authentic Chinese food, so I was pleasantly surprised to find The Wok in Reno delivering the same level of authenticity. I ordered from the “authentic” section of the menu, and every dish was on par with the best spots back home. The cumin beef, spicy braised beef with potatoes, and spicy boiled pickled fish were all packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. If you’re a regular spicy food eater, I’d recommend asking for extra spicy to really get that kick. Portion sizes are generous, and for the price, I felt like I got great value. It’s rare to find such authentic Chinese food outside major metropolitan areas, but The Wok definitely hits the mark!

Exceptional authentic Chinese cuisine with caring and attentive service. We love this place. The best tasting around!!! I so appreciate the accommodations for my lengthy allergies!!! (I had the gluten free rice vermicelli vegetable noodle dish and tonight they added curry so delicious). Highly recommended. My dad says it’s the best stir fried green beans he’s ever had! We love this place it’s the very best in all of Northern Nevada in my humble opinion !

This place really hits the spot after a day on the slopes at the Tahoe resorts! Staff were super friendly and the food tasted really authentic, very much satisfying some Chinese food cravings. The menu is quite large and you can find a range of dishes that range from more traditional to more American Chinese. Despite the variety, our food came out very quickly! One of the appetizers we ordered ended up having run out for the evening but they were very attentive to us and asked if we would like a replacement, the dishes were actually pretty large so we decided to opt out of it instead and staff were super accommodating. I believe it is family run and we appreciated the care we got with our service. Recommend!

Finding Me Wherever I May Be

The food wasn’t bad but wasn’t amazing. Pretty basic in taste. We got the vegetable dinner combo and the shrimp chow fun. The appetizer that came with the combo of the crab cheese puff and egg roll was really just one of each. The egg drop soup and chow mein were my favorite. It was more food than I expected. Not sure if I’ll go back.

My family and I tried this restaurant last night and weren't impressed. We ordered a variety of dishes and most were quite bland. Although the portion sizes were generous, the quality of the food was poor. My fried rice came with multiple large and small pieces of egg shell mixed in, which made for a very unpleasant crunchy surprise. The cost of each dish was too steep for what it was. We won't be back.
