Great food and service. I ordered a torta and was surprised by how much food I got. The price is just right and the quality of the food is excellent. They serve with a smile. Glad I found this place and we'll be back on my next trip to Tahoe.

Great Mexican food! Would highly recommend. The chile rellenos were pretty different than what you would get at a chain but they were so good! The rice was seasoned well and the chimichanga was delicious.

Must try the chorizo, in Lake Tahoe this is one of the place we always go. The flavor is exceptional but parking is less and King’s beach is always crowded. Overall very good place to pick up good food.

Grab and go service window spot attached to a Mexican Market. Been eating here for years. Always pretty good. I prefer the chile relleno burrito, but sometimes do the super al pastor or asada. Burritos are big, but never rolled very tight so plan on dealing with some spillage. I miss the outdoor seating. Prices are fair and service is friendly.

Lovely neighborhood taco spot in North Lake Tahoe! We went pretty late at night and there was no line on a Saturday. Quick ordering process for takeout. We perused the market that is attached to the restaurant while we waited for our order. A great way to past time and loved all the authentic Mexican spices and produce there. Usually restaurants in Tahoe during winter season are super packed on the weekends with long wait times. But La Mexicana delivered authentic food in a prompt manner. Food was good. I got the carnitas and al pastor tacos for the combo. We also got an additional fish taco. The food was more than enough for me. I was pretty full after the two, and I pushed myself to split the fish taco. Fish taco was pretty good and had some good spice to it. I recommend giving that one a try.

We ordered garlic shrimp, and it was perfectly cooked and fresh.. food is good with the taste you can make it out they used fresh ingredients. The only challenge is its takeout restaurants, or you sit in patio take your package, and eat .. but the food is really good!

Decent mexican food (traditional baja style). We almost always get the Carnitas plate or chicken street tacos. The market inside is amazing, stocked with traditional mexican brands and a meat counter in the back. For the Taqueria, you order outside and the wait can be long so I suggest ordering ahead or on the app.

As a long time Kings Beach local prices here have sky rocketed. The special green avocado sauce has been gone for years. prob to expensive to make now. tacos are freaking 4.99 they make it 99 cause its 5 bucks for a damn taco. prices have quadrupled. sadly I dont eat Taco bell next door but the prices are near the same now. This place used to be a healthier local option. now its more overpriced. They havent learned about climate change and plastic pollution as they waste hundred of thousands in plastic salsa cups with No Fs given for their styrofoam to go and plastic addiction. unaware fools. I know going greener prob will rise prices but learn and grow up! take the hit for the greater glory of planet health and figure a way to lower your prices and reduce plastic waste! a single item chilli relleno used to be under 4 bucks its 8 now for a single breaded pepper with cheese. shameful on that one. its just greed and bad business. its not a cheap hole on the wall local spot anymore.
