One of my favorite restaurants. Located in the Struppa neighborhood, 20 minutes from the center of Genoa, the restaurant is small but warm and welcoming. Ideal for parties and dinners with friends, it also offers outdoor seating, which is only available certain months of the year. It specializes in farinata, available in classic form, with stracchino cheese, gorgonzola cheese, spring onions, and sausage. It's also worth noting that you can order a "testo di farinata" (a combination of four different farinatas). The quality is excellent, and the rest of the menu is also very good, including the desserts. The staff is the restaurant's strong point, especially the gentleman in the bandana, who has stood out for his friendliness, prompt responses, and jokes in Genoese dialect for years. The prices are very reasonable, and they often offer a free after-dinner drink. Ample free parking (not for exclusive use) is available immediately in front of the restaurant. Reservations are recommended.

One of the two best places in Liguria to have the famous "Farinata". Reserve your table or you will likely not eat at all.

Sono tornato dopo qualche anno per colpa della pandemia, con il gruppo di amici ed amiche storiche per mangiare insieme pizza e farinata. Forse perché era un lunedì, forse perché la mia memoria vacilla ma ricordavo una maggiore varietà di farinate. Tuttavia tutto molto buono, un servizio piacevole e soprattutto abbiamo speso decisamente poco considerando che abbiamo preso pizze, farinata, bevande, dolce e caffè. Un posto in cui ritornare sicuramente e consigliatissimo.

Un luogo piacevole e familiare con un servizio simpatico che sa subito metterti a tuo agio. Franz è famoso per la farinata ma anche la pizza è ottima, come pure i dolci. Prezzi assolutamente competitivi (pizza, birra media, dolce e amaro 25 euro). Ci torneremo sicuramente.

After a long absence, we managed to return to enjoy the farinata: one of the best in Genoa. The cheese focaccia is absolutely not to be missed: excellent!!! Of course, it's always difficult to book a table, and I was disappointed to see the small portions, although the price is, fortunately, still affordable, so it makes up for it. A great confirmation and absolutely not to be missed 😉😉

Kind and attentive staff. Good farinata but with little choice of toppings: no gorgonzola and artichokes, normal pizza nothing special. For location, far from the city center, prices a bit high. Also the farinata given for 4 was a bit small in fact we split a pizza. Anyway recommended!

Pizza e farinata sempre di ottima qualità ma attenzione al conto, sempre da controllare prima di uscire dal locale. Troppo elevato. Pizza, non tutti hanno preso la birra ma acqua, non tutti hanno preso il dolce e neanche il caffè, conto: 25 euro a testa?… ma io non ci vengo più….

I didn't have a great experience at this restaurant. Not being local, we were curious to try the farinata. The waiter initially told us he could let us try it, but then, when it came time to take our order, he informed us that it was only possible if we ordered the whole plate. This was information he could have given us right away. The pizza wasn't the best, and after ordering and waiting a long time for coffees, we had to wait for the waiter to ask other people if they wanted them and then even bring them to them (they had ordered after us). Furthermore, the room was very hot because the air conditioning was off. Overall, a disappointing experience.
