Assolutamente un ristorante di qualità superiore a Tirano. Piatti gustosi, curati, che appagano totalmente sia il palato che la vista, nota d'onore ai dolci, che definirei strepitosi!! Piacevole ed elegante ambiente in cui tutto é studiato nel dettaglio, dalla musica alle luci, dai colori all'arredo. Servizio ineccepibile!

Ottimo locale, con camerieri disponibili e preparati, anche nel consigliare il vino locale più adatto ad accompagnare quel che si ha ordinato. Noi abbiamo pasteggiato con un tagliere misto di salumi e formaggi locali e degli spatt, ravioli ripieni di cacio e pepe con crema di zucchine, pepe rosa e menta, tortino di polenta taragna con porcini, salsiccia e bitto. Tutto buono, con un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo! Sono stati anche molto gentili nei riguardi del nostro cane, che peraltro è stato il benvenuto. Ultimo, ma non per importanza, si trova in una posizione centrale a Tirano, il che permette di raggiungere poi le attrazioni principali della città. Ci siamo trovati molto bene e lo consigliamo

Il locale è molto curato ed elegante, così come i suoi piatti: tutto eccellente quello che abbiamo mangiato (in particolare sciatt e pizzoccheri), cucinato con cura e attenzione al dettaglio e alla materia prima. Il personale è gentile e cortese. Di certo lo consiglio per chi fa tappa a Tirano.

Bellissimo e fornitissimo bar vicino alla stazione del Bernina. Abbiamo fatto una gustosa colazione a buffet, sia dolce che salato. Yogurth spaziale Da provare!

The pizzoccheri was outstanding — rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced. The buckwheat pasta had a rustic bite, perfectly coated in melted local cheese, butter, and greens without feeling heavy. Every forkful tasted genuinely Valtellinese, hearty yet refined. The braised pork cheek was the highlight of the meal. Exceptionally tender, it melted effortlessly and was deeply flavorful, with a slow-cooked richness that showed real technique. The sauce was well reduced and complemented the meat without overpowering it, making this dish both comforting and elegant.

We had a vegetable pitta and home made macaroni in this restaurant which is right on the corner from the train station at Tirano. The environment is very nice and the music played was relaxing. The staff is friendly and the service was fast. The pitta and macaroni was great

Merizzi is a delicious Italian food restaurant. Consider making reservations for this busy restaurant after riding the Bernina Express from Switzerland to Tirano. The patio is nice and the servers are attentive and accommodating. If you are sensitive to the environment, consider sitting inside. There is noise pollution from the many motorcycles in Tirano. If you are seated next to someone smoking, hopefully the wind is blowing away from your table. The house made buckwheat noodles are delicious in the pizzaccaria. Vegetarian options are available.

Amazing northern Italian restaurant. We decided to grab lunch on our way from St Moritz to Milan. Wow we were blown away! We tried the Breasola, Pasta with 30 yolks, leg of lamb and this amazing dessert! This place is a MUST.

Highly suggest the tasting menu. We spent one night in Tirano from the Bernina express and were very happy with the food and service. Chef was able to accommodate for my vegetarian diet and it was very good, my partner really enjoyed the meat selection as well. Do note it is several courses and takes some time, so settle in and relax!

Just about the best dinner experience we've ever had. We both had the local tasting menu with different deserts, and were fully blown away by it. Came here with the bernina express, but are definitely returning if we're ever in the area.

The place looks great. I loved the interior and the atmosphere. The restaurant is well-kept and clean and the colors really pop. The service was excellent. We were seated despite being early for our reservation. The waiter was very gentle and aware of the arrangements we'd made earlier over the phone. The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the local Bresaola salad. That's the super thinly cut, dried and salted beef. It had that great reddish-purple color. Highly recommended with 🍷 The fish of the day was fresh and delicious, too.

We had lunch here with the offer with the Bernina Express. We enjoyed our lunch so much that we ended up having dinner here as well! It was my birthday and the restaurant made sure to make me feel special. Service was great and there's many nice options on the menu. Highly recommend any of the desserts.. they were all great!

Durante il soggiorno presso il B&B convenzionato, ho avuto modo di fare colazione in questo locale. L’esperienza è stata molto positiva: la qualità dei prodotti offerti si è rivelata eccellente e il servizio è stato rapido, professionale e cordiale. Per questa parte della visita, il giudizio è decisamente alto. Per quanto riguarda invece l’aperitivo, l’esperienza è risultata meno soddisfacente: nonostante l’offerta del menu fosse interessante, l’ambiente ha presentato alcune criticità, in particolare, i servizi igienici erano sprovvisti di carta e sapone, e il personale in questa occasione si è dimostrato meno attento e professionale. Questi aspetti hanno inevitabilmente influito sul giudizio complessivo.

Ristorante - Bar sulla via principale di Tirano. Posizione "felicissima" anche grazie alla vicinanza con la stazione ferroviaria che apporta flusso turistico diretto a Bormio in molti mesi dell'anno. Cucina differente da quasi la totalità dei concorrenti, ricette locali e varianti a base di pesce (abbastanza buone ma scegliete le prime....), la qualità è molto buona a livello generale. Piatti ben presentati, ben curati, servizio veloce e abbastanza cortese. Ambiente molto originale ma a mio giudizio troppo "freddo" per un locale di montagna. Consideriamolo un'alternativa che mancava in bassa valle..... .....anche come prezzi.

It's the restaurant at the Terra Hotel, and according to the Bernina Express brochure. They offer discounts if you present your ticket, but we didn't try it. We had lunch and dinner there and had very different experiences. Lunch was fine. They were very friendly, even though we arrived right at the kitchen's closing time. The risotto and "La milanesa" were completely filling, but dinner was a different story. We ordered a salad to share and two pizzas (a gluten-free Parma and a Capricciosa). The problem arose when the waitress brought a gluten-free Diavola pizza, and when we told her she was mistaken and that we weren't going to eat it (we hadn't ordered it because we're intolerant to spicy food), she said that since it had been specially prepared for us, we would still have to pay for it even if we didn't eat it. This made us incredibly angry, although they later brought us a gluten-free Parma pizza and didn't charge us for it.

Non è propriamente un ristorante, ma un bistrot. Molto comodo in quanto praticamente a nemmeno 100 metri dalla stazione dei treni, è posto sulla via principale di Tirano. Il locale è molto raffinato ed elegante. Offre la tipica cucina valtellinese. I pizzoccheri erano poveri di verze e un pò troppo carico di formaggio e burro. Gli sciatt invece li ho trovati molto gustosi e croccanti. Prezzi non proprio bassissimi.

Five of us sat here, and everyone ordered something different, like pasta and pizza. The prices were extremely high, and for that price we expected to have a good meal. But it was honestly a complete disappointment. The food didn’t taste good at all. The only thing we liked was the wine. On top of that, the waiters’ attitude was extremely bad — it would have been better if we had been kicked out.

I like the red wine, for food we order the beef tartar and pizzocheria. I do not have the idea how the pizzocheria should be, the flat pasta texute a bit weird to us.

locale molto curato dal punto di vista estetico, prometteva anche bene, ma purtroppo il servizio è stato lento e poco curato: al nostro arrivo abbiamo atteso 25 minuti per la colazione e non sono stati serviti tutti i piatti ordinati, nonostante avessimo specificato il tempo limitato a nostra disposizione e chiesto preventivamente se ce la facessero con la preparazione. Il cameriere è stato poco preciso con l’ordinazione e impreparato sulla disponibilità delle preparazioni e degli ingredienti presenti (scritti chiaramente) sul menù.

Ho pranzato con un’amica ordinando “La Bistecca” (Entrecôte alla griglia con caffé de Paris e pommes frites). Mi è arrivata una porzione molto piccola, composta dai “culetti” del taglio e con cottura media, nonostante avessi richiesto la carne al sangue. Pensando fosse uno stile gourmet non ho detto nulla anche se mi sembrava strano, ma poco dopo ho visto arrivare lo stesso piatto al tavolo accanto: porzione giusta e taglio corretto di Entrecôte. Peccato, perché il gusto era buono, ma la differenza di trattamento tra i tavoli lascia veramente una brutta impressione. Non lo consiglio.

Besides charging for cutlery, they also charge for the bread and olive oil they serve, and it's stale and not very tasty. The service is unfriendly to foreigners. They insist you drink extra water, but it costs extra. This might seem normal to some, but it's important to ask what costs extra and what's included.

Do not waste your time and money!! Such a shame we wasted our time in Tirano here😢😢 Appalling service, they should not be working in hospitality. Messed up our orders and even after they reluctantly admitted fault during our meal they refused to acknowledge it when we were paying. And that is just one thing out of many. The food reminds me of my uni struggle meals. Photos of nice food from reviews or their instagram are outdated, they’ve changed everything. It’s a disservice to Italian cuisine. Don’t eat here if you are pescatarian/vegetarian. Everything has meat in it, even if they don’t disclose it on their menu (e.g. the prawn pasta has pork in the sauce and they don’t tell you that). I really hope this restaurant seeks to retrain their staff and improve their menu because it has the potential to be a lovely place to eat.

Food is definitely not like the pictures! Which is a real shame as we would’ve gone somewhere else. I think most of the 5 star reviews and pictures on here are from a couple of years ago. Food wasn’t worth taking a photo so sadly can’t post them here. If you’re pescatarian then your options here are limited - even the prawn bucatini has undeclared bacon in the sauce. Truffle fries did not taste like truffle and cost €6 more than regular fries, so honestly don’t waste your money. And maybe we were just unlucky but our service was unfriendly. We had a young bald man and a slim lady with dark hair in a ponytail - unpleasant attitude from them both. They forgot the mustard salad dressing and wouldn’t admit it at first but then came over with it when we were almost done with the meal. Sadly the dressing didn’t even taste of mustard, just oil. There was one friendly server, thank you to her. Maybe she was newer.

Disappointing experience. The outdoor seating was swarming with bees and flies! And one even landed in our pasta. When we informed the staff, they shrugged it off as a common issue and offered no solution. The response felt dismissive, as if it was our fault. We came expecting a pleasant meal and left hungry and frustrated. Service was slow. Not worth the visit. There are better restaurants with better hygiene well maintained and good views nearby!

This was my first restaurant experience in Italy ( after taking off the Bernina express), and I waited to visit other restaurants and interact with locals to better understand Italian culture and service before writing this review. While the restaurant’s atmosphere is cozy and romantic, the food was average and didn’t feel authentically Italian. The service was the most disappointing aspect—cold and lacking hospitality. Initially, I wondered if this was typical of Italian service, but after experiencing the warmth and friendliness of Italians in other settings (buses, restaurants, and malls), I realized this restaurant does not reflect the local standard. It feels like a tourist trap with an eye-catching exterior but little substance. I wouldn’t recommend it.
