Absolutely hands down the best all you can eat experience I've ever had. Every single thing that came out was fresh and delicious and all of the staff were attentive and friendly. I will 100% be coming back!!!

First time was fantastic. Atmosphere was really nice. From the hostess to Carlos, service was great. On a quiet Sunday afternoon my husband and I tried out the all you can eat dinner. Nothing disappointed. We tried so many new to us things, found some incredible items, and really enjoyed everything. The menu has so much to offer. Highly recommend, we will for sure be back.

I had the weekend all you can eat lunch on a Friday and it was less busy than it seems to be at dinner (and less expensive). Everything I had was so good, especially the Mango Mango roll and Teriyaki Beef. The Tonkatsu ramen also had delicious broth. Jacob was a great server, as was the cute cat robot! Highly recommend. The food quality and service are well worth the price.

We had an amazing experience at East Izakaya. Once you get a hang of ordering on the tablet, the food comes out at various intervals with the cat robots and different servers. It was so much fun to pick things and the sushi was really good quality. I would definitely return in we were in the area again.

I had been wanting to try this place since it opened and finally had the chance! We decided to grab some small things to try. The shrimp/veggie tempura was light and fluffy, the BBQ eel pizza was yummy and unique and lastly the shaggy roll very tasty! Sabrina was our server, very attentive and sweet, we'll be back for sure ☺️

This place was EXCEPTIONAL! We didn’t have a reservation, and despite online not showing any we walked in and were immediately seated. (Two people around 5 on a Monday). The multiple servers we had were all friendly and helpful with the menu. We did the all you can eat, and our waitress explained how to order from the tablet at the table. It was a real fun dining experience, and having a robot deliver your food was so much fun. The was a large variety of options that could suit any persons preferences. The food itself was all wonderful. I don’t have a bad thing to say about the taste or quality of the food we received. I would absolutely come back! (Ps, the bathrooms were very clean as was the whole restaurant!)

Great experience, just make sure you make a reservation. We didn’t which is our fault and was told 45 Min we waited almost two hours . No problem sat at the bar had some great drinks, at great prices . When sat even though they were super busy everything was clean, food was ordered quickly and came out quickly . Very impressive. Everyone was nice , service was great and top notch made sure plates were out of the way water filled , didn’t have to look for our server with the call server button , DEFINITELY recommend!!! Good for anywhere from 2 people - 12 . Easy lots of parking , wide spread of options all you can eat !

Peyton (our server) made the experience even better. It was a celebration of our 20th anniversary and New Years and we were super happy. Highly recommend this place .., managers and all were super nice.

Yes! To this Japanese Eatery. Lots of Sushi here, but don’t be mislead. They got Yakitori! They got a lot of Wok prepared choices. Tons of Rice and Noodle dishes. Don’t even pass the Appetizer list. Amazing. Ambience is subtle Asian Inspired. Everything was orderly with just enough decor to stimulate the eye. Waiter Jacob was on point. We ordered the Calamari Appetizer which took a bit to come out. Our Adult beverages of Sapporo Beer and Japanese Wine held us over. Having just started our Appetizer the Main Courses came out. Bad timing? Yup. Tell the Waiter to drop your Main Order after about 3/4 way through your App to avoid that dilemma? I got the Spicy Pan Fried Seafood dish from the Wok menu. Bursting with flavor, and not too spicy. The Lady got the Chicken Fried Rice and loved it. This was a great Restaurant. Come here. Tip well. Spread the Word if you enjoyed it. Ask for Jacob. 5 Stars for sure. 👍🏻 So not just Sushi.

Oh my god… I can’t give this place enough stars!!! I also cannot explain how good of an experience that was. Our server Sabrina was so incredibly nice and even rooted us on when we were joking about trying to finish our plates (which we got many of… probably too many… so worth it…). The cheering us on was very appreciated and gave us a good laugh. The food was incredible as well!!! Literally everything was so flavorful and extremely well made and prepared. I don’t think anyone at our table disliked anything at all. There’s a good variety of foods to choose from as well! Another thing, and this is very niche, but I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms too! They smelled wonderful, and were extremely clean. This was a great place and you can’t beat the price for a all you can eat sushi

When my wife and I came in to East Izakaya last week we were blown away. You may have doubts about an all you can eat sushi place, but trust me, this place won't disappoint. The food was sooooo good. Service was even better. The place was clean, bright and inviting. Our server Kyla made us feel like we were some of her old friends. She was the perfect blend of professional and laid back (one of the best servers I've ever had). The shift manager Mateo also was great. The entire staff worked effortlessly with everyone. Coming from a customer service background it was very cool to see and very appreciated. Now let me tell you about the food! Sushi was killer. Rolls, Sashimi, Nigiri and Temaki were all on point! Beef was cooked perfect and everything tempura was so, so light and crispy. Even their chicken wings are great. Sea Bass was wonderful. My wife and I also couldn't get enough of the fried cheese cake and creme brulee. I honestly can't rave enough about this place. I can not wait to go back!

Well this has to be one of the best all you can eat sushi places around. My wife and I went here for lunch for the first time today. For those who don’t know you walk in they ask if your doing all you can eat or à la carte. If you do all can eat they grab an iPad ordering service and take you to your table. They briefly explain your server will be over and you pick things on the tablet and then hit call your server and your server comes by and types in the codes to send it to the kitchen. You repeat until you’re done. We got Nigiri, rolls, soups, appetizers, dessert we tried it all. The sushi is excellent and the rolls are big! Don’t order too many at a time. The things that aren’t obvious that stood out to us. The sushi pizza is amazing. It’s a super crispy hash brown circle with the topping you choose. These are very good and different. The sliced steak on the skillet with onions thing I can’t recall the name was also very good. These clam appetizer was great I’ll get all of these things again next time. I don’t feel it’s that much more pricy than regular sushi if you ordered a lot. Sit down, grab a large sake, and enjoy. It’s really that good.

Last night was our first time here. To be completely honest, it was my 57th birthday and we were headed to a different restaurant that turned out not to be open, but I've always wanted to try this place because I've driven by it so many times. I'm so glad things worked out the way they did. It was absolutely beautiful inside. I love the ambiance. Everyone was so nice. My server was amazing. He got everyone together to sing happy birthday. Even brought the robot to my table and I absolutely love the robot. LOL. They brought me a plate that said happy birthday in chocolate drizzle with cheesecake and creme brulee. I was very touched because I told my server I did not want to know anything about my birthday after my daughter mentioned it. The food was out standing. We honestly did not know what we were doing, but we ordered what we wanted and it turned out to be the best we've ever had. I will definitely be back!! Thank you so much for the cheer on my birtday ❤️

First time here and we did the all you can eat dinner, and will definitely return. Our server Peyton was very kind, and took great care of us. Even the restaurant manager Mateo came over to acknowledge our group of 7 and asked how our service was going. Overall amazing experience just be ready to eat!

We did a weeknight all you care to eat menu and really enjoyed the experience! The restaurant is very nice inside with an upscale modern feel. The server was very friendly and helpful and came to the table quickly every time we submitted a new order for the kitchen. Drink menu had a lot of seasonally inspired cocktails that were presented well and with good descriptions. Prices were very reasonable for the cocktails as well. All the food we tried was delicious and well presented. The dishes come out on small plates, tapas style, so keep that in mind when ordering items to try. The sushi rolls were well crafted and nicely presented. Overall, would highly recommend and we will be back again for sure!

I cannot express how enjoyable my lunch was! From the food with its amazing flavor profiles, to our Jetsons inspired robot waitress! This was by far the best restaurant I've been to in a long time.

Make a reservation and go to East Izakaya ASAP! We luckily stumbled across their sister restaurant, Wind in Buffalo a couple months ago and we were pleasantly surprised. My wife hates buffets or all you can eat places, but the quality of Izakaya changed her mind. First off, make a reservation. We made ours over a week ago for a Friday night. When we arrived there were a ton of walk-ins that were acting incredulous when told there would be a 90 minute wait. A popular restaurant is always gonna be busy, especially on the weekends. Plan ahead and you'll be happy. Anyway, back to the restaurant itself. The inside is well appointed, perfect lighting level and a cozy temperature. On a brutal cold night we were lucky to be seated next to their fireplace, that thing was toasty. With in 3 minutes of being seated we had a glass of water and a sever passed by with a delicious selection of roasted meats on skewers. This is like Brazilian steakhouse meets sushi fusion. We plugged our drinks and first round of bites into the tablet and very quickly we were served. For about 2 hours we indulged in round after round of drinks and sharable plates. The servers were great, the friendly delivery robot was cool and every bite was a pleasant burst of flavor. I don't know how many choices are on that menu, but it seemed endless. A couple items I want point out, the coconut curry soup and the beef short ribs. The soup is spicy and savory. The short ribs are thinly sliced, rich little bites of heaven. So good. Go to East Izakaya now, be hungry when you arrive, you'll leave happy and sated!

We went here on date night and had a phenomenal time. A meal at East Izakaya isn't just delectable cuisine - its an experience. Everything from the central fireplace feature, to the cat robot waiters, to the all around ambience was the perfect mixture of fun and elegance. This is not a place to grab and go (I mean there is takeout, and you can, if you must) but I enthusiastically suggest making a reservation and come enjoy yourself for a couple of hours - you won't regret it! Theres something on the menu for everyone.

Everything was delicious. Such a fun experience. Our server Sabrina was very attentive and helpful when we wanted to modify a drink to our preference. She also made my fiancée feel confortable dining here with a shellfish allergy. Just a tip for future newbies like ourselves start small and make multiple requests for the all you can eat menu so you don’t feel overwhelmed with ordering all at once haha.

We were there when they were packed. Food was amazing! Service is good. There servers are friendly but overly busy. Also time between ordering and receiving the food can be long. Atmosphere is pretty but loud. You are sitting right next to your neighbors. We did the all you can eat.

My boyfriend and my had gone here for my birthday, January 22nd. It was our first time too It was such a great experience. I wish I could remember the name of the server we had, but she was extremely friendly and attentive and helpful. Even the complimentary birthday cheesecake was such a nice surprise! I'm glad the server was able to read people, because she said I seem like the type that did not want a big birthday thing with the attention on me that restaurants usually do when it's somebody's birthday (And she was definitely correct) 🩷 She was very quiet and quick about bringing this out and wished me a happy birthday. The food was absolutely great, and the blue Hawaiian drink was so good. The robot servers were also adorable. The restaurant interior was nice and cozy and very modern but still unique. Even my boyfriend who was never a big fan of Japanese food loved this place, and both of us want go back very soon! (We live in Rochester, so we aren't that far) I do wish there were more tempera vegetables options but I found that I loved the tempera yams, and the cheese beef yakitori was absolutely amazing and interesting.

Food was good. Service was amazing! Jacob was an absolute delight as our server at East Izakaya. From the moment we arrived, his warm smile and genuine enthusiasm made us feel truly welcomed. He took the time to explain the menu with impressive knowledge and patience, suggesting dishes that perfectly suited our tastes. What stood out most was his kindness and attentiveness throughout the evening. When my friend mentioned a dietary restriction, Jacob immediately recommended safe options without hesitation, showing great care and professionalism. At one point, when a dish was accidentally delayed, he personally checked in with the kitchen and kept us updated with a calm and reassuring demeanor. Despite us ordering an almost endless parade of plates, Jacob impressively kept our table clear of old dishes with seamless efficiency. He bussed every empty plate so quickly and unobtrusively that we hardly noticed, allowing us to fully enjoy the variety of flavors without feeling crowded or overwhelmed. His attention to detail and smooth service truly set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. We would absolutely dine here again, and we hope that Jacob is our server once again!

This is the best sushi we’ve had in the Rochester area, ever. It might be a bold statement, but it’s genuine. The entire meal was amazing. Atmosphere is sophisticated yet warm and inviting. Wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Ordering is a breeze with the extensive menu on the tablet. Plating was beautiful - creative use of products and vessels. My personal advice: pace yourself and take time to enjoy each dish - it’s more than a meal, it’s an experience. We’re already planning our next visit.

Unbelievable - never thought all you can eat Sushi would be this high quality! Hawaii/California boy who loves sushi gives the food and service 5 stars. We sat for 2 hours, never felt rushed and Curtis made sure we had everything we needed. Great drink selection with quality sake too!

Food: I ordered the all you can eat( ACE). This was an extremely unique experience. I've eaten at many restaurants and by far this ACE menu is insanely pleasant. This price is more than fair. You able to order from over 100 items off the menu. When I say menu. I mean menu. They don't like lake in flavor or just have bland choice on the ACE. It's like going to a restaurant and being able to order anything on their menu and it's all you can it. They do have portions so your able to taste and not get over stuff. They also additionally have a Brazilian style meats, fruits and vegetables. So definitely a plus. They also provide a tablet if you ask. Has picture of most of the food you can order. Also have a robo delivery. Ya definitely a must try. All that and bomb food. Atmosphere: Well maintained establishment. Modern looking welcoming vibe. Not to fancy, not to dressed down. It sits right in the middle. Soft comfortable place enjoy a feast. Service: There were plenty of people there on a Friday night. The staff was attentive. Quickly found a place for me to sit. I would advise reserving a table ahead of time. Every staff member there was kind. Never had to ask for anything more than once.

Oooo myyyy goooodness! This was such an amazing an experience with GREAT food! Three of us got the all you can eat lunch and oops, we ordered too much (won’t be doing that again) It was my daughters birthday and Miss. While visiting out of town, we planned lunch at East Izakaya. Four of us enjoyed an amazing 3 hour lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Because we paid one price we could and did enjoy nearly every dish on the menu. Not dim sum as your orders during the meal were made to order. We ordered 45 different items each one made to order. The four of us filled the table 5 times with our different selections! We were never pressured to finish and kept our server busy. (see photo) The staff was excellent and efficient. To say the food was good would be an understatement. Fantastic, excellent, delightful. A unique experience for us.

Excellent vibe, good, and service. The ayce is a good deal with a wide variety of bite sized menu items. I tried almost everything and they were very tasty with quality presentation. The rolls can be filing but explore the items you’d not get at a typical sushi restaurant.

Staff is super awesome and very accommodating food was great. I had a birthday party of 30 guest. This was truly a great experience. Some of my guest were older and the staff and both mangers were amazing. We got the all you can eat. I believe we got a little loud but everything was great.

Wow. The menu is so varied and the quality of food is fantastic. All you can eat for $40, you won’t be disappointed. We particularly loved: -mushrooms -torched sea bass -bacon wrapped asparagus -crab wontons -scallop sushi roll -pan fried sirloin - green tea cheesecake -deep fried chocolate bar Really fab restaurant. Most things are portioned for 1 so read the menu carefully. Most likely will find something for everyone. The volcano roll [pictured] has flamin’ hot Cheetos on top and that was fun [it also tasted pretty good].

East Izakaya is a dream come true for lovers of Japanese cuisine and variety. Their extensive menu offers an impressive selection of sushi, ramen, grilled skewers, and unique small plates that cater to every craving. You could spend hours here sampling dish after dish—and believe me, I did. In fact, I ordered so much food that the restaurant's food-serving robot seemingly had enough and made a daring escape! Perhaps it knew what was coming: another round of sushi rolls, another tower of tempura, and my insatiable appetite for their perfectly seared Wagyu beef. Aside from the runaway robot becuase i wasnt fast enough, the service is attentive and quick, ensuring you never have to wait too long for your next bite. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between traditional izakaya coziness and modern energy, making it a great spot for an exciting night out. If you're someone who loves variety and is up for a fun and flavorful adventure, East Izakaya is well worth the visit. Just be mindful of how much you order—the robots might just quit on you! 🤖🍣🔥

Delicious food, AYCE lunch menu had perfect size portions for trying a little of everything. Server and staff were all super friendly and helpful, and atmosphere was great. Orders sometimes take a while with the order-as-you-go system but it's a great opportunity to take a few minutes to relax and chat with people at your table. Atmosphere was really nice, even the bathrooms were decorated beautifully. A bit pricey as a lunch option but the value you get is definitely worth it. Looking forward to next time!

Coming here a few times now, I've got to say this is the best AYCE Japanese/sushi restaurant I've been to. Everything from the sushi to kitchen food is phenomenal. Everything is beautifully balanced with flavors and even the presentation is eye-pleasing. Some favorite appetizers are the grilled Chilean sea bass, beef/tuna tataki, and grilled beef short ribs. As far as the fish for the sushi, it's fresh and great quality. The rolls aren't too heavily packed with rice which is great for saving stomach room to enjoy other items. The service was great, and everyone is on top of the ball. One thing that seems to be reoccurring is, sometimes another table will take your dish by mistake from the robot server. You'll notice when your tray lights up and it's completely empty. It's difficult to determine what was taken and whether you should reorder it or not. Nevertheless, this doesn't ruin the experience. A couple times now, the restaurant is completely booked especially on the weekends. It's best to book a reservation a few days in advance. Another side note, the restaurant is beautiful and very modern. A 10/10

It’s great 😍😍 it was our first time at East Izakaya but for sure not the last time. The all you can eat is so great and worth the money. We had the most amazing dining experience on Sunday afternoon for my son's Birthday! Menu options were explained by the helpful host as it was our 1st time- then a 10 min wait to be seated. Food was hot, came out in groups. Timing approximately 25 mins between each course which was paced perfectly! We enjoyed the mix of real & bot serving- the little cat was actually cute! We look forward to returning as we enjoyed our full experience and the price point is exceptional for what you get.

Discovered on a whim - a beautiful place to have lunch (or dinner), conversation and an exotic drink or two, or three! Meeting Mateo was a great opportunity (head bartender); he was invitingly warm + cordial and explained how the "all you can eat "buffet" works at East Izakaya... Wonderful, delicious presentations of food! Recommend to have reservations, (but if you're like us and up for some chance, it's always fun to just take a seat at the bar... and see how things go!) We spent 2 hours just "taste browsing" the menu!!! Thanks Mateo - we made reservations for our NEXT vist and will be back with a few more guests. 💕

Absolutely loved it! The all you can eat "Buffet" is a bit pricey but 100% worth it. You get an I pad to scroll through tons of options. Then pick as many as you want. There are also roaming meat and veggie carvers bringing even more goodies to the table. My new favorite Asian spot. Just a lot of fun!

First time here and Definitely won’t be my last! I had the Best Experience here @east.roc East Izakaya in Victor NY, it’s located on RT. 96 next to Panera Bread. Walking in, the ambiance was relaxing and beautiful, They have a full bar which is big and beautiful, plenty of seating, the waitresses were kind and prompt, and the food was High Quality. The Best Miso soup I’ve ever had, the crab 🦀 wontons were so crispy and perfect and the chili sauce was sweet n tangy! The green tea was very soothing, the sushi was so fresh and filling, I got the Shaggy Dog Roll, Hits the spot! The menu is Huge, you won’t have a problem finding something you will like even for those picky eaters(hot food and cold). I can’t wait to come back here. Next time I’m trying their Ramen Bowl. Guys go check this place out! You won’t be disappointed. #foodie #eastizakaya #mommydaughterdate #sushi 10/10 🏆 ❤️‍🔥🤤😌😍

I recently celebrated my birthday with a few close friends, and we had a reservation at this fantastic restaurant. We arrived a bit early, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. I particularly loved the all-you-can-eat dessert option - it was a delightful treat! Absolutely incredible experience. The food 10 for 10. Every item we ordered was amazing. Everything comes as a bite or 2 to help lower waste. From the general tso chicken to the pork belly. It is decorated beautifully and don't get me started on the service. Our server Jacob was on top of Everything. He was very kind, did not rush us. The cutest part is the serving robot that drops off food to the tables. We will 100 percent be back.

We had dinner at East Izakaya and it was absolutely amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Everything we ordered came out perfect. Our server was outstanding, always on point with refilling drinks, checking on our food, and making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. You can tell they really care about the customer experience. And the robot server was such a cool touch! It made the whole experience fun and unique. My only small complaint is that the sushi portions are pretty generous. I actually wish you could order slightly smaller portions because I feel bad when I can’t finish it all, I don’t like wasting food. But that’s honestly a minor thing. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

This is our favorite sushi restaurant! We haven’t had anything that we haven’t liked! Shaggy Dog, Rocky shrimp, calamari and no matter what you must have desert! Crème brûlée and tempura chocolate bar! Yummy!!

Everything was absolutely fantastic! The food was fresh, delicious, and of top quality. The waitstaff were incredibly fast, attentive, and friendly. And the robot server? Adorable! They even have people come around and serve you meats off skewers. I was a bit late for my reservation, but I only had to wait about 10 minutes to get seated. I’d definitely come back again. The atmosphere was amazing, a 10 out of 10!

It is all you can eat sushi place. You may pay a little over than $50 for weekday dinner. The food quality is pretty good and I like the plenty of options. I haven’t tried side menu but definitely sushi and sashimi are fresh and delicious in standard of east asian! The restaurant vibe is luxury as well. It is worth to go for special day!

Favorite restaurant in all of Rochester. Amazing all around every time I come here. Sabrina was great tonight and every other server I’ve had here was great as well. Been here 5-10 times and it never disappoints. 10/10

I am in love! Very good food and the atmosphere is super cozy. The all-you-can-eat option is fun, but on a busy day, expect to be there for a while. As far as ala carte, the prices are pretty normal, if not a pinch higher, but the portion sizes are sizeable; the dining experience is more or less meant to be shared. Overall, the value on a meal here is amazing. Only small gripes is, again, you're going to be here a while, and the service can be a little iffy sometimes.

My boyfriend and I tried East Izakaya for the first time tonight and we were not disappointed! The food was exceptional and came out quickly. Our server, Kiley, was extremely friendly and attentive. She significantly enhanced the experience! She was full of suggestions for things to order and made sure we were taken care of. She made it much more than just a dinner out for us. We’ll definitely be back!

I love coming here! The robot that brings out the food is so cool, and using the tablet to order all you can eat makes everything super easy. Our server John was awesome-fast, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great food, fun experience, and excellent service every time!

I recently visited for their all-you-can-eat dinner and was absolutely blown away. From the get-go, the sushi was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and you could tell it was made to order, which is a rarity for many all-you-can-eat spots. It was easily some of the best sushi I've had in this kind of setting. The service was top-notch as well. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. The menu had endless options, which was a pleasant surprise—everything from rolls to grilled meats, and each dish was executed perfectly. The grill items were especially delicious, with a great balance of flavors that left me wanting more. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, providing a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy the meal. For an all-you-can-eat place, this restaurant totally exceeded expectations. Most spots in this category often fail to impress with freshness or quality, but East Izakaya manages to elevate the experience in every way. Highly recommend!

We had a truly wonderful experience here — this is the place to order sushi in Rochester. Honestly, it’s the only sushi spot we can confidently recommend. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and it’s perfect for both a date night and a family dinner. Our servers were incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful throughout the entire meal. The only area that could use improvement is the hostess stand. We arrived right at our reservation time, but our table wasn’t ready, and it was hard to understand what was happening — we weren’t told how long the wait might be, whether we should stay, or where we should wait. Other than that, everything was above and beyond. We’ll definitely be back.

This place is fantastic. The food is really great. Prices are super affordable for the value. The service is amazing. It's a beautiful restaurant. The robots are weird but cool. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return when back in the area.

Staying at hotel that shared same access I wanted to try take out. (Traveling with pet reason for take out). I was greeted with a friendly smile and hello. The restaurant had some uniqueness I could see while waiting for my call in order. I only wish my wife and I could have enjoyed the full atmosphere. One thing that stood out was a robotic server that had means for stacked sushi plates. Face of it looked like Felix the Cat. Super hit for especially youngsters. Food was fantastic. 💕💕💕💕.

Food was great so many choices and options available with small portions (all you can eat menu) so you have time to try lots of different food or if you know what you want, there are large portions of items. Do wish there were more steamed options instead of everything fried and it did take some time for food to roll out but we also were a big party and ordered a chunk all at once. The desserts were fantastic and overall ambiance and decor was perfect for the setting. Do recommend giving it a try, I'm certainly going back many times!

Alina was awesome as was the hostess! They explained everything well and then the food was fresh, delicious and well seasoned! Should have taken a photo before we ate all we did! The sushi rolls were amazing ! Shaggy Dog was superb. The avocado in the sushi was so perfectly smooth and sweet. The robots were a cool touch! The samples brought around were really delicious too. We ate soooo much.

It was our first time & my boyfriend birthday dinner. This place is absolutely amazing! I was feeling the modern chic vibe. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomach cause we ordered A LOT but everything was delicious 😋 & the little robots serving food was cool to see. We went to East Izakaya in Victor, NY on New Year’s Eve with a group of six, and it was such a fantastic way to ring in the New Year. The food was incredible — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — but what truly made the night unforgettable was our server, Curtis. Curtis was hands-down one of the best servers we’ve ever had. He was quick, helpful, funny, and completely went with the flow of our lively family and all our different dynamics. He made us feel relaxed, welcomed, and genuinely taken care of all night long. His energy fit the celebration perfectly. Between the amazing food, great atmosphere, and Curtis’s outstanding service, East Izakaya was the perfect place to celebrate New Year’s Eve. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience to welcome 2025 into 2026. We’ll definitely be back,

My mom really liked this place. I do too, but dishes like szechuan tofu and wonton soups are mislabeled because they do not taste like their name. They're good but it wasn't szechuan or wonton, it was sweet and sour tofu and miso soup with a piece of wonton. Otherwise, the sushi was fresh, my mom complimented how flavorful the fish was, not fishy, just fresh. I enjoyed the takoyaki (not pictured) a lot. Had 3 pieces of tako in them vs other takoyaki that only have a sliver of tako. It was a really big menu!

The experience was nice but would have been superb if the part of about the robot only serving all you can eat customers was not left out or was advertised somewhere. I came as an out of state customer with my daughter to experience being served by the robot only to watch the robot go to many other customers that previously arrived before me and numerous after me on several occasions. I spent more than the amount of cash as two dining on the all you can eat buffet menu if not more for just two individuals choosing a la carte. My experience was a slight disappointment however the quality and presentation of the food was a buffer.

We’ve been looking forward to coming here for a while and we were not disappointed. First, the food. We had a group of four and we went with the “all you can eat” option so we could try as much as possible. And we all feel it was well worth it. We tried a variety of rolls and each one just hit the spot. The Crunchy Shrimp tempura roll was my favorite, so I highly recommend it. The rolls themselves are very large, I would say one is probably enough for a single person. The regular shrimp tempura was probably the best I’ve ever had. It was crispy, and had a nice flavor in the breading that I don’t usually taste elsewhere. The fried calamari was a little tough, but had a great flavor. I probably won’t get it again, but I don’t regret trying it. The crab wontons were a crowd favorite. Easily these are the best crab cheese wonton rangoons any of us have ever had. The cheese was so creamy and fried perfectly. The dumplings were another classic that hit the spot. Also, they have a few people walking around with some meat skewers. Everything they had was delicious, one guy had flavored beef, shrimp, chicken, but our favorite was the BBQ pork belly. I dream of that pork belly. It was juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. And the flavor was slightly sweet. The sashimi all tasted fresh and juicy. There are a variety of soups and other appetizers and they are all very good. I can’t mention everything here, but I’ll try to add descriptions and ratings to the pictures I add. Also, the desserts were just the cherry on top. The crème brûlée was creamy, mildly sweet, and perfectly torched. The red bean dakoyaki was easily my favorite dessert. Perfectly crispy and a little sweet, it wrapped up my meal in a very satisfying way. I wasn’t a fan of the sesame cheesecake, it was a little too bitter I think. The service: Our waiter was incredibly friendly and matched our energy really well. He would crack some jokes and overall made it a great dining experience. The robots that deliver the food are very fun and convenient. To order we just added everything on the tablet to the order and then called the server over. He checked it over and placed the order to the kitchen. When the robot comes with your food, be sure to only grab the food on the tray that is highlighted. We almost made the mistake of taking someone else’s food. Oops! We did have an issue getting some items. We ordered two rolls that never came, which was disappointing, but when we mentioned it they asked if we wanted to order it again. At that point we were stuffed so we were actually kinda happy we lost some items haha. The atmosphere was really modern, but felt very pleasing. I won’t say cozy or anything, but the decor was nice to look at and we didn’t feel crowded around tables. It was very open. Overall, I highly recommend East Izakaya. The food is clearing made fresh, with fresh oil for everything deep fried. The people are pleasant. It’s honestly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had.

Fun place to try a variety of Japanese entrees. Best to do the all-you-can-eat option, since individual plates can get expensive. You order food using a digital tablet, then it comes to your table without much intervention from your server. We had a table of eight and ordered nearly 100 entrees. Servings are small, but if you are hungry just keep ordering more. The food quality is very good, but I'm taking away one star because the food can be luke warm or cold most likely from being prepared in large batches ahead of time. I would go back.

This is a very nice and fun restaurant to go to. The only thing is when you choose all you can eat. The items doesn't come in order sometimes. We ordered yakamoots barbeque and Noodles to eat together. The meats came first and then after 20 minutes the noodles showed up which we were peeved. It was same for some of other dishes we ordered together and they don't come together:(. Also if order appetizer don't get fooled by pictures like us. You only get 1. Literally only one Shrimp tempura per order. The sushi 🍣 were great 😃👍

I had a good experience at East Izakaya. The food was tasty, and the all-you-can-eat sushi option was definitely enjoyable. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was attentive, which made for a pleasant dining experience. It's easy to eat more than you planned, so it's worth pacing yourself. There were a couple of minor issues. The ordering iPad was a bit dirty, and the bathrooms could have used some tidying up. Despite these small concerns, I was happy with the overall experience and would recommend the restaurant. I'll likely return for another visit

We decided to give this place a try after hearing a lot of positive things about it. The inside was nicely decorated. They have separate seating areas for AYCE and a la carte. Service: the staff who served us kept changing and varied in their service and attitudes. Some were super friendly and attentive and brought us whatever we needed immediately. Some were impatient and completely forgot about our requests. Food: they have a pretty wide selection of food, from sushi and sashimi to hot dishes like ramen and grilled meats. Most of the sashimi we ordered were nice and fresh except for the tuna which tasted metallic and fishy. The hot dishes we ordered were all pretty good. I like how everything was bite size, which allowed us to try different things on the menu. Also the food came out pretty fast which was a plus. Technology: this is where I have the most issues with. We ordered everything on an iPad. But the first iPad we received kept locking us out, and we had to ask the server to unlock it multiple times. After we added the items to the cart, the staff had to come to “approve” our order on the iPad before send it to the kitchen. This all seemed inefficient if they already opted for ordering through a piece of technology anyway. I also didn’t like the robots. From the decor and pricing, it felt like a more premium restaurant. But the existence of the robots made the whole experience felt pretty cheap. And it was confusing when the dishes were sometimes brought out by the staff but sometimes by the robots. Overall, for the quality and selection of the food, I might go back again with a large group for special occasions. It is a little on the pricier side compared to the other AYCE places in the area.

Couldn't ask for better food. Servers were extremely helpful and friendly and very attentive. We were only served by the robot once, but I guess that was enough to feel that we had the robot experience. Had to call several times to get someone to pick up the phone to place a reservation but it was during Valentine's weekend so it's probably better than that usually. Glad I kept calling till I could get a reservation. My wife and I both really enjoyed it.

Many people confuse all you can eat with buffet. You order the food and then they or a robot will bring it to you. Lots of choices and for the most part our food came kind of quickly.

Lots of selections from sushi rolls to rice and noodles. All you can eat was almost $42 per person so if you have a big appetite then it’s totally worth it. Try various kinds of food. Really enjoyed everything except a few things like the soups were cold. Green beans were not as fresh and were not well cooked. The samples that came around were great, tasty pork belly and teriyaki chicken basically anything on a skewer.

*UPDATE.. Food was good the first time we visited. We went again with 4 people it was TERRIBLE service. Gave it another try and the service was excellent! My above average looking wife and cool cousin stopped into East Izakaya for lunch. We made reservations for 1 pm. We got seated but unfortunately our order wasn't taken until 1:40 pm. Other tables that sat down after us received their food before we did. The waitress did not have a clue on what's going on or how to do her job. The manager stepped in and did a good job of taking out orders. Lunch took about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Really lack luster experiences.

J

It’s okay! Heard it’s better for small groups, I’d skip if you are a large group or split the tables up a lot. It’s really disorganized. I think ordering drinks should only be through waiter. But anything you order you had to do through app then pass to server to send through to kitchen or bar. It was a bit chaotic with a big table and everything came out not in order of how we sent the orders through. So we weren’t sure what we were even getting or who it was for. A lot of the times too the waiters were bringing us things we never ordered?? It was that bad lol. Even after receiving desserts we were getting something possibly ordered hrs before . Idk it was a 3.5 hr sit down experience for just okay food. Things to get: crab wontons, sirloin steak tips, (it’s dry but flavor is there) chili chicken, mt Fuji and volcano roll, fried Oreos, fried dumplings alright. Ok the fried chicken wings were good but also 😭 see pic. I luckily thank God did not get sick but uhh wth? Stopped after 2 cause opened the others and they were all like this . Pretty restaurant though! Just don’t think it’s meant to serve large tables wait time for food orders is way too long and just overall super disorganized 🤷🏻‍♀️ oh and there was one guy who was running our food that could not be bothered to tell us what the food was or place the food on the table. So he was pretty awful too. Our server was okay! I’m sure she was overwhelmed!

Been here a few times and usually love it but after our most recent visit, we probably won’t be back anytime soon. The food is good (although, please clean your clams, I found 3 tiny crabs in mine) however, our service was so incredibly slow. We were there for 2 hours and still left hungry because we couldn’t get our food to come out in a timely manner. We waited over 45 minutes for 1 roll and decided that was the end of the meal. There are other AYCE places that offer better service and you can actually get your moneys worth.

K

My wife and I love this place but our last visit was very awkward. Our server had no personality and barely addressed us. We waited almost 30 minutes for our drinks to be served. Our food came out out of order, sometimes doubled up on things we didn't order, and even had things we didn't order come to the table. Very strange as this place is usually a very pleasant experience. Hopefully better next time.

I may try this again. I think i would order the all you can eat meal. The only thing my friend and I enjoyed was our tempura shrimp appetizer. My spare ribs came out looking like greasy flatten meat pancakes. And these are served with NOTHING else. No vegetable, not even rice! My friend's meal came out at least 10 minutes later, maybe more, so she got to watch me gnaw on meat. She also didn't like her chicken and chilis, deep fried and way overcooked. She left 2/3 of it and didn't even want to take it home. The service was absolutely terrible considering the servers have 3 kitty robots helping out. I don't know, I may try again but not soon.

1st time visiting and pretty disappointed overall. We placed an order of drinks and food. Our server said he was going to get wasabi and be back. Server never showed up (end of his shift we were later told when we got a new server), some food came out within 15 mins, and drinks took 40 mins to get. Wasabi took 50 mins. No exaggeration because the iPad has a time stamp. The order was slightly accurate. Got two soups when we ordered one. Ordered a mango salad and that never came. We did the AYCE and ordered more food and dessert. Dessert came out before food. The taste of the food was outstanding but overall…considering service, inaccurate order, and taking way too long….sad to say it was not a good experience and therefore not worth over $100 for two people. For clarification, we paid for the dinner AYCE menu and placed our 1st order at 3:27pm. LOTS of open spots in the restaurant and it was only two of us too.

The food is very good here and the ambiance is nice. The concept of “all you can eat” for a flat rate and ordering from an ipad is fun. However the service was extremely slow and this negatively impacted the experience. My son ordered dumplings at the beginning of our meal and didn’t receive them until the very end of the meal (must have been at least 40 minutes). We ordered some sushi rolls and those also took a long time to come out. Slow service is always annoying but it’s an even bigger problem here than usual. The “all you can eat” concept means you are charged for left overs however it’s difficult to remember how much you have ordered when it doesn’t appear on the table for 30 minutes. You end up ordering more because you find yourself still hungry only to be overwhelmed at the end with more than you can eat. I felt I spent far too much time just negotiating my order and trying to find the server (who didn’t come by our table enough). It ended up being a less than ideal experience in spite of good food and ambiance.

Lunch, all you can eat $30.99. Pick and choose from 40 + items. Great way to try a bunch of things with smaller portions. Sounds perfect, expected more. Waitstaff didn't seem happy to be there on a Wednesday afternoon. Didn't explain everything...like how to order. You receive a tablet, pick and choose the items, then PRESS CALL WAITER. I thought maybe that was rude so didn't press it right away but they dont come if you dont press that. They log in and approve your menu items, each time. Which is fantastic now that I learned from that mistake. Started with edamame , a soup, and some single sushi (Nagari). Cute portions and delicious. Then went after the shaggydog roll, (favorite) onto pizza sushi...sushi on cold hash browns. (Tasted only the hashbrown) to General Tso, and spicy beef. Everything was decent but could have been better if I ordered a side of rice and broccoli. Tip: build your meal and include your sides! Tons of options to choose from but next time it will be sushi rolls for me. Also, ramen soup was not like Hokkaido (across the street in Victor) but small portions made it fun to try. Will be back again now that I know what I am doing.

It was Lunar New Year, a holiday that holds deep meaning in our culture, and we were looking forward to having a warm and meaningful dinner since we couldn’t make it home to celebrate. As first-time customers, we expected at least a welcoming atmosphere, especially on such an important day. Unfortunately, our server’s attitude was rude and unprofessional. They appeared irritated, were inattentive, and made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. This completely took away from what should have been a special and celebratory evening. Because of this experience, we will not be returning.

I was really disappointed with my family and I’s recent visit to East Izakaya. The service was terrible. Our waiter barely even said hi or checked on us, didn’t tell us his name, and honestly seemed like he couldn’t care less. It would take at least 10 minutes after ordering on the iPad for anyone to come confirm our order. Some of our food never even came. No one ever asked us about drinks, and when we finally did order, we saw it sitting at the bar for quite some time. When the waiter finally did bring us the drink, it was melted. On top of that, every time they came around with the skewers of meat, we were completely unacknowledged and skipped over. The food itself was just okay. With some items missing and the service being so bad, the whole experience felt awful. I’ve eaten here before and had great experiences, so this visit was a huge letdown. Honestly, with service like this and drinks and food that don’t even arrive properly, I won’t be coming back.

Ordered the meals al le carte and everyone’s food came out at different times and my daughter received rice but not her meat or her Ramon and we al had finished our food. They had to refute and we took to go. They kept saying they were short staffed. Seems as though people that got their food unlimited were satisfied, but ordering a full dinner at once did not go well. The timing was off. Not happy and won’t be returning. Sushi roll ok. Enjoyed the fried rice. If it had not been a first bad experience would have returned.

The server we had was good, he was attentive when around but seemed busy with the other bigger parties, the problem tonight however was whatever was going on in the kitchen. We got served frozen food at the beginning and never got a new one, then later on in our meal got cold food again! Then when we got our dessert they tasted weird like they used the same oil for everything. The only good thing of the night is that we started with three people and one person had to leave at the beginning and they took her off the bill. We will not be coming back, not when there are better places around for cheaper. Paying that much for the quality of food and service is crazy.

I first want to say that I have been a big fan of East Izakaya, I tout them on social media, and recommend them. They have been like my comfort food. That is until today. Today, I got a bad batch of sushi for $17 that tasted like and appeared to be mixed with canned tuna. After vomiting on the side of the road to mitigate possible food poisoning I called and explained the food scare to the manager Brody, who proceeded to stonewall me, through a series of inconsistent reasons why he can not void the charge. Reasons included: 1. the product was not in original condition 2. the ingredients in the cooler did not appear spoiled upon inspection 3. He could not void the charge unless I am physically at the restaurant to return the product 4. He is not allowed to void or return items because corporate must be the ones to do that. 5. He had already contacted corporate to ask them to follow up with me. 6. It’s not his problem that he forgot to mention that I need to return the item to the restaurant The interaction ended when he became frustrated and stopped trying to explain why he did not want to void the order and then hung up on me. I was effectively robbed up $17 and will challenge the transaction with my bank. I think it is possible that the restaurant mixes canned tuna into the sushi of customers if they’re having a bad day or even if they don’t want to serve a particular customer. I’m sure not everyone has this type of experience, but this was my experience after only 5 times ordering at this location, and I found the whole ordeal so tedious and unprofessional that it changed my perspective on the business altogether. At the end of the day, I’m just glad that I’m not sick with food poisoning (fingers crossed) , since either the food was bad due to negligence, or made deliberately bad just for me. Let this be a cautionary tale to any consumers or tourists in the area: East Izakaya does not stand by their product. You take full liability when consuming raw fish on premises. Hope this will help someone and prevent similar issues from occurring in the future. Food poisoning is something that I would like to avoid at all costs. Edit: the real manager, Mateo, called me back the next day and was very apologetic about the product and service I received. He applied a credit to my account without me asking for it. The only problem is I risk my food being tampered with again if i were to go back.

I visited this restaurant for lunch at 3pm on December 4, 2025. The dining room was beautifully decorated. The restaurant was almost empty as far as customers. I can understand why. The food was terrible quality and lacked flavor. I ordered the all you can eat option off the menu. My miso soup was bland and flavorless. My vegetarian ramen noodle soup tasted watered down and flavorless. It had an egg in it. My chili chicken entree was awful. I had to send it back. The chicken was dry, overfried and raw in certain parts. I could have gotten food poisoning. I returned it back to the waitress who seemed unbothered and unfazed by this serious mistake. Nobody apologized. After that experience i was afraid to order any meat off of the menu for fear of it not beimg cooked properly and getting sick. The quality of the food seemed low for the price. The cheap ice cream was served in plastic dixie cups that were tiny and very unappealing. I could have gone to walmart for that same dessert item. The waitress was not very attentive. Her attention to detail needed to be better. And the service was slow. I was there for almost 2 hours. A very slow service and lunch. It was not worth my $42 for lunch. Never again will I visit. I do not trust this restaurannt with safe proper food handling. That is a huge safety risk!

We arrived for our reservation for three and, after a wait, were seated at the bar, which was surprising given that we had booked ahead. The service and food started off strong, and we were genuinely enjoying our evening. We chose the all you can eat option, and everything went well for about the first hour. After that, the service stopped. We ordered fried Oreos for dessert right before closing out our $141 tab (with a 25% tip). After waiting 35 minutes and being told multiple times that it was “coming soon,” the dessert never arrived. We ultimately left without it and received only a brief apology from the bartender. It was really disappointing to have an otherwise enjoyable night end this way, especially after making a reservation and driving an hour each way. Sadly, this was my first visit and will probably be my last.

I came here for a simple delivery pickup. Not to dine in. Not to enjoy the “all you can eat” experience. Just to grab a bag and leave. Somehow, that was too much to ask. This place operates in a different dimension where time has no meaning. I arrived on time, confirmed the order, and was immediately told “five minutes.” That was a lie. A bold, confident lie. I waited so long I could’ve completed another delivery, gotten gas, and questioned my career choices. The staff looked genuinely annoyed that I existed. Every time I asked for an update, I got vague gestures, blank stares, or the classic “almost ready” — which here apparently means “we haven’t started yet.” Watching them slowly assemble rolls one grain of rice at a time was painful. The restaurant itself smelled like old fish, fryer oil, and broken promises. Bags were stacked everywhere, half the orders looked confused, and nobody seemed to know what belonged to whom. At one point, I’m pretty sure they tried to hand me the wrong order and hoped I wouldn’t notice. By the time I finally got the food, the customer’s ETA was already destroyed, my app was yelling at me, and I was left apologizing for a delay that had nothing to do with me. If this is how they treat delivery drivers, I can only imagine how bad it is for customers trapped inside for “all you can eat.” Do yourself a favor: skip this place. Drivers will hate it. Customers will wait forever. And the sushi is absolutely not worth the chaos. I will decline every order from here for the rest of my natural life. I have no idea who's running this place, but be better. It's not that hard. Customer service at its worst.
