Amazing experience! My wife and I each had the sea bass as an entree and the goat cheese salad as an appetizer. The sea bass was so very tender and delicious with a light sauce that did not over power the fish. The appetizer salad was a unique interpretation of goat cheese salad, being crispy. Our server, Rainier, was excellent. He spent a lot of time with us explaining the dishes. We speak English which was a small challenge with the online menu but Rainier was very helpful to explain everything to us and recommended options for wine and dessert. We had Sauvignon Blanc wine. Everything was excellent!
Casa Las Cujas is on many lists for good reasons - the food is fantastic, the ambiance is chill, and the service is the stand out quality. We were guided by Renier, who helped us throughout the meal to get an authentic but accessible experience. He is the reason this location is 5 stars in my opinion. He was kind, thoughtful, flexible, and most importantly, passionate about us having a great dining and Santiago experience. For appetizers, the ceviche and sashimi with a tomato reduction were fresh, raw, and had the strong fish taste. Similarly for mains, the scallops were small bites with a good quantity and a strong taste of the ocean. The sea bass was perfectly prepared and portioned. For drinks, the pisco sours were very forward and the wine selection was exceptional. For dessert, Renier recommended the flam but we went with the cake. I don't think either would've been a mistake.
Excellent seafood restaurant with little twist of different food styles and staff are great with good knowledge
Nice little restaurant, everything we ordered was super fresh and delicious! Langoustines with rice were too salty but still good😋Attentive service, we don’t speak Spanish so the waiters helped us with the order and explained the menu(there were delicacies in the menu such as Piury and local mollusks that we have never tried before)
We visited Las Cujas our first day in Chile and just HAD to come back because the food was so good, the service was incredible and can confirm that they make the BEST pisco sours - as they are made fresh in house. Highly recommend this cute resto!
Excellent seafood restaurant. Very fresh fish and shellfish. A good selection of local dishes and wines. Excellent service.
If you like fresh seafood, this is the place. Everything is prepared so fresh and delicious. Good atmosphere and good service. However, dessert is not a strong suit. Recommended!!
Very fresh seafood, the appetiser with mix ceviche is really appetising, brownie and paella are so good. Highly recommended
Very good service and their seafood quality is really great! I also really like their decorations. I recommend their oysters starter, fish of the day.
Five starts for service, food and decor. Lucianna was attentive, hospitable and accommodating.
Beautiful environment! Great service! Delicious food!
Great service and good food. Will come back again
As good as it gets. Best raw seafood I ever experienced.
We went to Casa las Cujas 3 times in 3 days, as it is the best seafood place in Santiago. It is not touristy, as a matter of fact most of the patrons were local. The food is fresh, diverse, and carefully presented and prepared. The wine list is extensive and quite reasonably priced. The staff is very nice: from the moment we walked through the door, every single person we interacted with was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Many spoke English and were patient and kind with our poor attempts at speaking Spanish. Overall, a great place to just sit, relax, and enjoy good food and attentive service. Highly recommend.
This restaurant is such a a fun and please place to dine. Always fresh seafood, excellent choice of red and white wines, very accommodating, helpful and friendly staff. The atmosphere is always relaxing. We were in Santiago for a week, and ended up dining at Casa las Cujas 3 times. 5 star and highly recommend. Thank you, Luis and all staff for making our dining experience a memorable one.
We loved it!! All the food was great, incredibly fresh and at a good price point too (to a foreigner) Great service and lovely setting to enjoy amazing seafood
Great food and friendly staff
Unreal quality seafood. 10/10
Best ceviche ever. Nice place and very well served
I personally had a great experience, wonderful venue to meet with friends, the food was fantastic, very good service and staff was super nice and made the evening more special, kudos to Luciana !!!!!
Great dinning experience the wait staff are excellent and the food options are great when in Chile always order seafood
Food was amazing! We got the sashemi sampler! It was a hit!
A good place to eat seafood
Delicious food. Nice place. Good service!
Loved it. The best fish in the area!
Super!!!
Best meal we had in Santiago. The fish, from the ceviche to the crudo to the grilled fish, was all exceptionally fresh and delicious. Francisco was a lovely and helpful waiter and helped guide us through the menu (which was not yet in english). It was evident he wanted us to have a great experience and cared about the quality of the meal. The restaurant also has a great indoor / outdoor vibe. Highly recommend!
Delicious food - fresh seafood, local olive oil and homemade bread in an inviting setting. We loved our meal. The vieja fish was grilled to perfection. The oysters were bursting with flavor. Everything was perfect. Todo bien. And Vincente, our waiter, was friendly and provided exceptional service. The hostess also greeted us with a smile. Highly recommend this local restaurant gem.
This is a restaurant that needs more attention, we had an incredibly delicious lunch here on January 22, 2026. The seafood appetizer and the fish main course were the best we ate during a week in Santiago de Chile. Go here - you won't be disappointed! Also professional service 👍
Just arrived in Chile and honestly blown away by Casa Las Cujas. The new menu is outstanding beautifully executed, full of flavour and very well thought out. Service was warm, relaxed and incredibly professional, which made the whole experience even better. You can really feel the passion behind the place. Absolutely deserving of its spot on the 50 Best list. A must-visit 🤩🤩🤩
Francisco was our waiter and he recommended some amazing local dishes. All the food was super fresh ! Highly reccomend
Visited the country for two weeks. Toured around, ate around, drank around. This is easiest the best meal in the entire journey. Very genuine, fresh seafood from the nation and cooked just the right way without over seasoning. Special mention to Reiner who served and really looked after us; he made our time here extra enjoyable.
Food was delicious -especially oysters. Vincent was a fantastic server with great recommendations for us.
Exceptional restaurant, Ranir service was truly great, well explained and advised on the dishes, ingredients and story behind them
Top notch if you like fish! Visited with a group of people and we had a great time here, the waiter spoke perfect English and he was an excellent “salesman”, helping us order the best fish dishes including a Chilean ceviche. I honestly had an amazing time here and I highly recommend this place.
Superb meal! Best in Santiago! Great english speaking waiter too!
Service is great and the food is fresh. However, it’s not to die for. I expected to be wowed and it was just nice.
Nice view and pretty food
The food is great! But much more oriented in platers that you would share rather than individual plates. The bar is slow though, took a while for the non-alcoholic beverages.
The best cold seafood platter I’ve ever had, our waiter recommended a wine “Boya” a Sauvignon blanc, and a a great match. I recognized almost none of the fish on the platter but they were all delicious
My recent visit was unfortunately disappointing and didn't live up to the good rating from last year! It's important to emphasize, however, that this refers solely to the service and not the food preparation. Unfortunately, it's still not customary in Chile to offer fresh bread with appetizers! The staff was also unable to bring all the appetizer orders at once. Clearly worded orders were altered by the staff themselves, forcing some orders to be returned! These few examples sadly demonstrate anything but a professional approach.
Nice setting as well nice staff. But the food lacked taste. We had the steamed mussels, tiradito and ceviche. Both tiradito and ceviche lacked taste you expect from this type of food. My husband and i visited Peru few years back and we fell in love with peruvian cuisine, ceviche being one of the foods we have most enjoyed. In Santiago there are many restaurants that have ceviche on the menu, however all have lacked taste. This one fell in the same category - raw fish in a wannabe leche de tigre which missed salt, bit of spiciness as well the specific sourness that adds to the final taste of a ceviche. The maracuya sour though was amazing:)
Steam choritos were good. Presentation ok, very good service
The reviews I read were amazing, however the food just didn't live up to the hype. The pulpo al pilpil was so salty and looked nothing like the advertisement - awful. The advertised photos look nothing like the real thing. Service was amazing - warm, friendly and attentive.
We were excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectation. The food was far too sour for our taste. While we understand that tangy flavors might be part of the cuisine, the dishes were overly acidic to the point of being unenjoyable
The food was absolutely delicious, and we truly enjoyed our meal. However, the overall dining experience felt uncomfortable, as we sensed a degree of discrimination toward Asian guests. We noticed that several tables of Latin America’s Best voters were dining at the same time, and we understand that those tables are extremely important for the restaurant. Because of this, we can understand why the pace of our dishes was slower and why the service felt somewhat lacking. To be clear, our disappointment does not come from being treated differently than those guests. We were simply hoping for the basic level of service expected in a casual dining restaurant. As this is a casual restaurant, we were not expecting high-end or formal service. That said, for a restaurant ranked 14th on Latin America’s Best, it was disappointing that there was no English menu available, that there was a billing mistake for items we did not consume, and that the overall attitude toward guests felt inattentive. We sincerely hope the chef and management see this review and place greater attention on service, as it would greatly improve the experience and make the restaurant more welcoming to international guests.
Food is amazing but a lot of smokers…. Destroy the experience
Bad service,, we had to wait quite a while and the waiter messed up with the order. Nothing special with regards to the food. Finally, I was lucky to check the bill or I would have been charged for an extra main dish. I do not recommend that restaurant at all. The surroundings offer much better food options.
