I ordered the butternut squash soup and a veggie sandwich, both of them were delicious! - There was a long line but it moved fast and costumer service was amazing

I ordered tuna with a salad and soup. Everything came out as expected. While I waited for my food Trina gave me a tour of the menu and I am super excited to say that I’ll be back to try more food here. There was other crew members on site that I saw that were also amazing and nice.

to DIE for bread bowls here 😳🙌 me and my gal pal decided to swing by a while ago and boy was it a flavor EXPERIENCE! went a little simple with my order and got a tomato soup bread bowl (as pictured) but in visits since then me and her have been HOOKED on the clam chowder! super cozy place to dine in and you will leave filled to the brim.

Save us the drive to Fishermen Wharf. As always I had the delicious clan Chowdah and my wife had the Pot Pie in sourdough bread bowl. Deliciousness! Nice light lunch after standing in line for a bit. But worth the wait once you are able to find a table!

Always great service. Always staffed with friendly and knowledgeable people. We go for the sourdough loaf and have never been disappointed. The food here is also very good. Love the clamp chowder bread bowl.

Ended up getting the clam chowder soup . It lacked a bit of flavor but was good otherwise. Location was clean and service was quick.

We always come here for the clam chowder in bread bowl with the half sandwich. Our toddler luvs it and we get to shop around after.

Good food! It's a fact, my score of 4 for the service because the tables are dirty and I noticed that the staff is more focused on the kitchen. Which is fine, it is understood that they are busy but if your customers see clean tables and ready to eat, you will surely get it better! I wish there is a notification on that food is ready so I do not have to wait. The restroom is clean. Also the eating area is also clean

Hi I was hungry there wasn't food to my liking at a closed deli in the neighborhood so I went today even though my sandwich wasn't hot or toasted it was ok it reminded me of my grandma and her sandwiches perfectly cut good meats I got a turkey and cheddar I'm picky with my cheeses and they accommodated to my taste perfectly and the guy who took my order he was so kind gave a free sourdough loaf such quality of employee very kind and patient even though I was picky on the cheeses and the meat great place I recommend it I didn't try the soups nor the salads but they looked good had a great time go check them out

Clam chowder in bread bowl was good but sandwiches like chicken pesto and chicken salad were not good, meat and bread ratio were terrible. Bathroom was terrible.

I had the roast beef dip and Caesar salad for lunch The meat in the roast beef dip was overcooked and dry. The ajus was too strong. I did not enjoy this sandwich at all. The Caesar salad was pretty good.

The food is not bad. But the service is ridiculously slow consistently. Ordered the food online and waited an extra 10 minutes past when it was supposed to be ready. Tried to order food in the restaurant and I should ended up leaving without taking it because after a half hour it wasn't ready and we had to leave.

Used to be great but have experienced a steady decline at this particular location (walnut creek). Replaced one of the cashiers with two self help kiosks that don't give you full customization ability, so people just queue up for the single human cashier. Tonight was a culmination of problems that will lead to me not returning. The cashier was friendly and helpful. But they were out of bread bowls. Out of coffee. There were about 5 dirty tables with plates on them and stuff smeared on the tables and no clean tables to sit at. Food all over the floor across the restraunt. Half the seating was roped off - all clean tables. Out of napkins at the self serve utensil station. After asking for napkins from the front to clean my own table, I went to wash my hands and found a filthy bathroom, toilet paper all over the floor, no paper towels or hand dryer and no tp. Finally seated with my food, I was disrupted by an employee dramatically barging out of the back room and hastily cleaning tables, literally tossing dishes loudly right next to me. After clearing a couple tables I observed them dancing with a mop and lip syncing with headphones on for the rest of my visit without doing any actual cleaning of the floor. The food was mediocre. The chili taste has gone down in quality in the last few years, like it's reheated out of a can or something. Bread is always good though. If they're going for the real SF experience, I think they nailed it.

Want your order which consists of just 2 bread bowls and soup in over 40 minutes? Then this is your place. It's unfortunate that I have to write this review as I was just raving about the service I got from the manager. I actually had an issue at this location with getting a refund for an item that was out of stock and a former staff member who did not want to help me with the refund (found out it was his last day when I was there). Rebecca was very sorry about the situation and provided a gift card which has my refund and a little extra to cover lunch. I felt that her response was great and I wanted to give Boudin a second chance. Today was a bad day to do that as my order of two bread bowls of clam chowder to go took over 45 minutes to get and that was only because I brought it up. When I had left I noticed my order was wrong and was missing the bread bowls.It also seemed as if my order was missed because people behind me in line were getting their orders. It's unfortunate that it seems this location is really understaffed and they're struggling keeping up with high volume orders. I used to work at a bakery years ago that was similar and understand how the lunch rush can be, but I think simple orders such as soup can be prioritized. A soup is already prepared and only requires to be put into a. To go container as compared to a sandwich which needs multiple ingredients to make it. I really hope this Boudin can get support staff to help as I know I was not the only customer who was not happy with the amount of time.

Food was great! The clam chowder bread bowl was amazing! But wow! The young Asian lady with the glasses was extremely rude! Zero personality and doesn’t know anything about her job when you ask questions.. We forgot our order number that we take to the table, she brought it to us, rolled her eyes and walked away. Someone needs to teach this young lady some customer service.

Had crab corn chowder bread bowl and garlic bread. It took 30 min to get the food. The soup was hot but the bowl wasn't even full! It was ok and a bit spicy. The Garlic bread was crunchy and cheesy but was served cold. They had 2 self service kiosks and 1 person taking actual orders. They appeared to be short staffed that day we went.

This rating is mostly for the staff, or the one person I had to flag for help. It shows me that the staff would do well to get some training on customer service. Purchased my order online. When I get there, the phone directions tell me to check in with the staff to pay. Huh? I already paid. I go over to the take out section of the place. Staff ignore me. I had to call one of the scurrying staff. I tell her I have a confirmed paid order. And also want to pick up my free bread, online order doesn't allow me to add it although it let me add it. In the process of getting my bread, she is interrupted by another customer who said she was late. This girl dropped what she is doing for me and helps this other customer. What???? Without acknowledging me. That's it, you lost a customer.

All I wanted was a shake and it's been 16 minutes. I ordered ahead on the tablet and yet I'm the last one to get my order. Staff is talking too much in the back with what feels like zero priority for time.

Meal not served after 40minutes. I ordered dine in at 12:32pm. It’s 1:14pm now and still not served. Just a sandwich + soup and two kids soup. Terrible experience, I see many that came after us getting their food already

After several minutes of looking for a person to ask, the staff said there was one cup inside your bag; well there was not. Another few minutes passed to tell them there was no cup in my bag. Later, I found that there is no fork in the bag for my salad. Again, several minutes of looking, I gave up and had my salad with a spoon and knife.

I am extremely extremely dissatisfied with my recent order at the Broadway Plaza Walnut Creek, CA location. I placed a lunch order at 1:40pm for it to be ready for pickup at 3:00pm. When I arrived to get my order as I was on lunch it was not ready. I wasted my whole 30 minute lunch waiting for my order that should have been ready. To make matters worse I missed my lunch and was given the WRONG sandwich!!!! Which I did not have time to go back to correct. I ordered the short rib melt and was given a roast beef sandwich on completely different bread then the short rib melt. Extremely disappointed!

We now live out of state, but were back in the area for the holidays and wanted to introduce my grandson to Boudin bakery and get a special loaf for our dog sitter. I placed an online order before 9 AM and arrived shortly after the pick up time. Two of the six items were left out of the order and were no longer available. It was very disappointing to place an order that far an advance and just be told that it must not have been packaged up so we were out of luck.

0 for 2 man. I tried lunch a few months ago and it took them about 20 minutes to bust out the most mid French dip ive ever had in my life. They were not busy and had at least a dozen employees in the kitchen alone. I would have never gone back but low and behold gave their breakfast a shot. Ordered a Cali breakfast burrito using their self order system. Again, no line at all. Took them a solid 15 minutes to make my burrito just for me to get it back to work and realize they gave me a vegetarian burrito. Take it back and explain the mistake they made. Manager was very receptive, unfortunately it took them an additional 15 minutes to fix the mistake. At this point I have spent my entire lunch break trying to get a burrito. I will never go back to this location and I might not get Boudin ever again after this. Like many things it got too big for its own good and the quality has fallen off a cliff Update: They messed my order up again and gave me another Vegetarian burrito after explaining the issue to multiple people including a manager. Now getting a refund and promise I wont be back
