Been here several times with my husband and this place NEVER disappoints! Our go-to is the Burmese fried chicken which is so crispy and juicy. We like to try another dish with it so this time we tried the Burmese shrimp - very flavorful. This place is also halal. Service is great - Carlos greeted us from the minute we walked in and took good care of us! Can’t recommend this place enough - definitely a must-try if you haven’t had Burmese cuisine before!
Went to Burma 2 and tried a few of the vegetarian dishes. The palata bread with curry was super good, and I really enjoyed the peanut leaf salad too, lots of flavor. I also had the tofu curry with veggies, which was fine, but the tofu itself didn’t have much taste and was a little too chewy for me. Overall though, the food was tasty and the service was excellent. Mark was our server and he took great care of us. I’d definitely come back to try more of the vegetarian options.
I couldn't tell you one negative thing about this place. The food was excellent, the service was exactly what we hoped for, and my belly was full when I left. My girlfriend and I stopped by on Saturday afternoon before catching a movie, around 3pm. We sat down immediately and feasted for the next 1.5 hours. The tea leaf salad is a default that we try at every Burmese restaurant. Always good! We then ordered the Burmese lamb curry and salt/pepper chicken. Both were fresh and delicious! I will definitely be coming back 😁
Berma 2 is one of our favorite restaurants in WC. It is must for anyone. Great food, staff and atmosphere. We started with the Samosas appetizer. We then ordered the lamb dry curry and the Burmese Garlic Noodles. Both were delicious. We had the Burmese Semolina Cake for dessert with mango ice cream, which was great! They offer outdoor seating.
Wonderful dining experience! All of the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food came out quickly and tasted fresh and flavorful. Recommend the fried chicken! The ambiance was also very nice. Update: the leftovers we took home tasted just as good, if not better, since the flavors got to simmer!
Burma 2 is hands down one of the best Burmese restaurants in the area, and Walnut Creek is incredibly lucky to have such a standout dining destination. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and passion that goes into every dish, making it more than just a meal—it’s an experience. The fried rice options here are absolutely out of this world. Each bite is packed with flavor, showcasing the perfect balance of spices, textures, and fresh ingredients. But it’s not just the rice that shines—the way they cook their meat is exceptional. Whether it’s tender chicken, succulent beef, or perfectly seasoned pork, every protein is prepared with so much care and love that it’s impossible not to notice. The atmosphere at Burma 2 strikes a great balance between casual and special. It’s the kind of place where you can feel comfortable showing up in jeans, but it also has a sense of occasion that makes it perfect for a date night or a celebration. My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience, from the warm service to the incredible food. If you’re in Walnut Creek and craving Burmese cuisine, Burma 2 is a must-visit. With its phenomenal dishes, welcoming vibe, and attention to detail, it’s a restaurant that truly stands out. Don’t miss the chance to try this culinary gem—you won’t be disappointed!
Loved the food and the vibe of this place. We had a heartfelt lunch. The tea leaf salad was the best. The garlic noodle and salmon were yum. I found the chicken okay. Overall a great food experience and very courteous servers who were vigilant on refilling water continuously.
Burna 2 is unassuming from the outside, but serves a lot of delicious food. It's definitely a good choice if you're in Walnut Creek and are looking for something tasty and filling with Southeast Asian flair. I've been many times and have yet to order something that wasn't good. One of my favorites is the nan gyi dok. That stuff is my version of pure comfort food. Minted jalapeño chicken, the soups, and the curries are also good eats. The cooks pay a fair bit of attention to presentation here and everything is visually appealing with neat plating and colorful garnishes. (I've never been to Myanmar so I can't say how similar or different the food you get at Burma 2 is to what you can get there, but I like it.) The dining area is wide and spacious compared to many other Main Street eateries and decorated with a lot of dark colors in modern style. There's a bar, although it's more a family place and a spot for weekday lunches than a hangout for people who are going out for drinks. Still, it has that trendy atmosphere going for it. The only real downside is that the service can be quite slow even when there are only a few tables in use. I'm not totally sure what system they have for dividing work between the tables, but it always seems to work out that there are two guys chatting in Spanish on the sidelines and one poor guy left to do everything for all the customers. It can take quite a few minutes after asking for the check for him to get around to it, and the same after that for him to take and tap the card. Still, though, the food is scrumptious. Tl;dr: The food is great. I can't seem to stop coming back.
My daughter is Celiac and we have never had issues. The food is always super fresh and delicious.

Wow! I feel like it's so cliche to call a restaurant a "hidden gem" just because it's in the suburbs or not upscale or something like that. I'll refrain from using the term especially since the place was packed when we went for Valentine's Day. Add in the eye-catching building it's located in and this place is anything but hidden. That being said, Burmese cuisine in general is a bit of a hidden gem. Not very commonly found in the western world but so delicious. Our dinner at Burma 2 was oh so delicious! We started with samosas and chicken lettuce wraps. The sauces that came with the two dishes were great accompaniments however the dishes were great on their own. For salads, I had heard that their tea leaf salad was something of a specialty and it didn't disappoint. It has some common traits to an ordinary salad except kicked up a notch with nuts for a crunchy texture and the actual tea leaf itself provides a unique bitterness that I've never had in a salad before. My partner got the mango salad which he preferred because of the fresh, bright, sweetness of the salad. Our entrees were the Burmese shrimp and the basil and chile beef. I swear I could eat both of these dishes everyday for the rest of my life. The words: Depth. Of. Flavor. The shrimp had an incredible combo of sweetness and umami that came out so savory and mouthwatering. Also, I have to give props to the kitchen for perfectly cooking the shrimp. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of the beef as well. I thought it would be overly sweet like something from a Chinese takeout place however the flavor was so much more complex and savory. The chile came through beautifully and pairing it with the basil made it all taste very well spiced. Finished with a fried banana and ice cream for dessert. My bet is they don't make the ice cream in-house but regardless it was a perfectly sweet pairing with the banana which was beautifully fried. The lychee martini is decent; the wine list is better. I'll be back.
Wow! Wow! Two shrimp dishes that we shared (Pepper Shrimp, Burma Shrimp), fried rice, samosas, and hot tea for lunch. So good! Huge shrimp, great service, excellent food, and pleasant atmosphere. Everything we had was a la carte, there was no rice included. That was disappointing, but we ordered the pineapple fried rice as a side which fit in nicely. This was a treat lunch ($100+ for two), but we left satisfied. Great job, Burma!
Food always great. A bit loud inside, but they also have outdoor seating with heaters. We love the minted chicken, duck noodles, burmese rice, lettuce wraps, and the samosa soup. Great for take out as well. Sometimes they have live music outdoors.
I come to Walnut Creek for work periodically and have kept meaning to try it. I finally did and am glad I did. I ordered takeout so cannot comment on the atmosphere, but the food was fresh, hot and ready on time. Will definitely come back and enjoy the dine in experience.
Burma 2 is the best restaurant in Walnut Creek. I eat there once a week and have always been satisfied. The food quality is outstanding and the staff very kind and professional. This is a great place! I highly recommend the minted jalapeño chicken!
The food here is first rate! I love the garlic eggplant with shrimp and the sesame beef. The tea leaf salad and samosa soup are solid too. Burma Superstar has been my favorite restaurant for years, but I’m so happy I discovered this place because it is just as good and it’s closer. As a wheelchair user I can also speak to their staff’s kindness and consideration. They always have welcomed me in and found a good space for me. The restaurant can get crowded at times and a couple times a staff member has helped make space for me to get through to use the restroom. Just having people pull their chairs in a bit if needed. The restroom is ADA compliant with plenty of space to turn around even in a larger power wheelchair. They have a handicap spot close to the entrance that can accommodate a van with a ramp which is so nice. Recently I placed an order for pick up and it was a Friday night and they were quite busy. The handicap spot was occupied so I gave them a call and they sent someone out with my order and delivered it to my car. So kind and above and beyond to do that on such a busy night. I highly recommend checking them out and definitely make a reservation for busy Friday or Saturday nights and if you do use a chair just give them a heads up that you’re coming and they’ll have a spot prepped for you.

Burma 2 is a hidden gem in downtown Walnut Creek that delivers bold, unforgettable flavors in every bite. From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and modern decor set the tone for a great dining experience. I tried the Chicken Burmese Pad Thai, Burmese Garlic Noodles, Basil & Dried Chili Lamb and everything was incredibly flavorful and well-balanced. Portions are generous, perfect for sharing. Service was attentive and knowledgeable—they explained the dishes and made great recommendations. The cocktails were creative and paired really well with the spices in the food. Whether you're familiar with Burmese cuisine or trying it for the first time, Burma 2 will blow you away. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!
We were come to having a lunch on Monday, July 21 and we got table outside because we bring our dogs. And Thanks to Miguel for warm, and outstanding service to customer, he was hosting and bring us and our dogs water. Food is great and unique, must try! Definitely will back because of the service!
We passed by the restaurant. We patio looked very inviting so we decided to give it a try. We love sitting outdoors while eating. We ordered a tea leaf salad. It’s very good. We also ordered Burmese shrimp and Burmese curry. They are ok.
The lotus chip and leaf salad was great! The lamb was a little bit dry but dried curry was tender. Great atmosphere for family gathering!

The atmosphere was really calm and friendly, it gets loud a bit but this was mostly when the staff sang for birthday celebrant. The food was fantastic, everything we ordered tasted really good. Even the spicy sauce I ordered with my pan fried salmon was really nice too. We ordered the Mango curry, pumpkin chicken curry with different rice sides that all came out really good. The staff were helpful, attentive and checked to refill our glasses and provide extra sauces when we asked. Parking can be tough in the evenings so plan ahead. The restaurant had ample seating both inside and outside. The price for the food was commensurate and I would definitely host more guests in this restaurant when I need to.

After looking forward to dining at Burma2, because it has an attractive outdoor seating area and looks clean and inviting inside, we were disappointed by the rather casual, nonchalant staff attitude. We arrived before the dinner time rush, so the restaurant wasn’t crowded, yet we found the wait staff was inattentive. The chicken lettuce wrap appetizer was good, as was the sesame chicken, but the garlic chicken and pad Thai shrimp were disappointing, especially for the price.

Last night we dined at Burma 2 (Walnut Creek) with a party of 8. The food was overall okay but noticeably on the salty side. At checkout, I showed a 20% off promo code, but the first bill did not show any discount. When I pointed it out, the server initially claimed it was already discounted, which felt intentional. Only after we repeatedly stated that it was the original price did she reprint the bill. Today, we happened to look closely at the customer copy of the receipt and noticed the “Large Party Gratuity (20%)” also appears to be calculated incorrectly: 20% of a $112.88 subtotal should be $22.58, but $28.22 was charged. This lack of accuracy and transparency left us very uncomfortable. 1/19/2026 The owner’s reply was just as disappointing as the checkout experience. I clearly pointed out that the advertised 20% discount was not reflected. Your staff insisted it was “already discounted” and only corrected the bill after both my friend and I reiterated that the prices were the original menu prices. A server should be able to verify pricing instead of dismissing a valid concern. You also claimed there is a “policy” to calculate the service charge on the pre-discount amount, yet you still haven’t provided it. There was no clear disclosure on the menu, during ordering, or before payment. Your apology mirrors the service: vague, dismissive, and lacking accountability. And if a mandatory service charge is applied regardless of service quality, that must be clearly disclosed upfront—otherwise it feels like an undisclosed fee, not a tip.
