Dinner was delicious. We tried the Gnocchi and the Tortellini with the brussel sprouts. Everything was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. We finished with a decadent chocolate cake. Drinks were equally as good. Look forward to a return visit to try other menu items.

My husband and I were walking around Navy Yards and are soooo beyond happy that we were able to land at Osteria Morini! This was one of THE best Italian Food restaurants we’ve been to (and I’ve been to Italy and lived in NYC) and this is just spectacular. The wine pairing to the meals, to the wonderful and extremely attentive service with the beautiful views of the river, it was the most wonderful dinner date we’ve had in a long time. We will certainly be visiting again, bringing friends and 100000% recommend it to everyone!

They got lots of appetizers so we actually went here for a happy hour. The staff was very accommodating and the smoked old fashioned was great.

My fiancé and I came here on my birthday to celebrate and the entire experience was a 10/10. We ended up going on a Monday, which is their $15 pasta specials and during happy hour for $7 cocktails. Both our meals and drinks were outstanding for an unbeatable price in the city. We made reservations for the patio, however day of it showed a chance of rain and the staff was very transparent on the seating arrangement and when we got there was very accommodating. While they were very busy, our server was still very attentive and friendly and our food was delivered quickly. I will definitely be coming back!

Could not have been better. 3 appetizers were amazing. My dinner was outstanding. All 5 of us enjoyed everything we had. Service was as good as it gets. Juliette (?) from Columbia was the sweetest and proficient server. Loved everything!!

Great dinner out for Moroni Mondays. The patio area is lovely and pet-friendly. The staff was very accommodating of my gluten-free dietary restriction. Delicious food that our waitress Edith recommended. Very attentive staff and awesome date spot.

Calamari was amazing, had two different types of pasta. One was with a pesto, and another with a lamb filling. Both were absolutely amazing and not too heavy at all. Definitely will be coming back next time i’m in the city.

My wife and I finally got a babysitter to watch our son and decided to go out for a nice date night. We love Italian food and wanted to try something new. I read great reviews online about Morini and wanted to try it for ourselves. I was able to quickly make reservations from their website the same day. The location is nice right off the water with a great view. The lighting and ambiance of the restaurant was romantic for our date night. The staff sat us at our table quickly and the waiter was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. The food and drinks were very good and full of flavor. I highly recommend the tagliatelle and cappelletti pastas. My wife and I both enjoyed our meal and drinks. Highly recommend this restaurant and will return for another date night.

Great food and atmosphere in Anacostia with nice water view. Pasta dishes were delicious as were the bomboloni (like sweet donut holes) though they did not have traditional cream filling. Service was a bit slow, and conversations echoed in the space.

Really enjoyed it here. Went on a Thursday after work and had an excellent cheese board. Good size portions of cheese for 2-3 people. Also loved the spaghetti + stracciatella. Great open atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Dessert was very tasty as well. Will definitely be back

Second time here! Five stars both visits! Edith our waitress was wonderful! Chris our sommelier helped us choose an affordable outstanding bottle of wine! They have indoors and outside seating. Right on the water! The food is authentic northern Italian! Many gluten free options!!

My meal tonight at Morini’s was truly the best that I’ve ever had. The food was DELICIOUS!! I had the Tortelli. My husband ordered the Gramigni. Both were amazing!!! The service was excellent. If you are ever in the DC area, I highly recommend checking them out.

Amazing restaurant. Polite staff and delicious food. This is a favorite of mine and my husbands. From the coffee and gelato to the homemade pasta and freshest salads. A lovely ambiance, and all around great eatery.

Absolutely loved it! We got the Pappardelle with duck, Pansotti with pork, Rigatoni with mushrooms, and the Cappelletti. They were all delicious. Perfectly cooked al dente pastas complimented by sauces packed with flavor. The burst of flavor from biting into the ravioli filled with truffle ricotta in the Cappelletti hit the spot. The desserts were divine - we had the tiramisu, riso, and cherry blossom ice cream. (The tiramisu was easily one of the best I've ever had!)

Amazing happy hour drinks! We had an excellent time and our server was incredibly accomplished and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and loved the waterfront views. Would definitely recommend and return.

Came here for restaurant week Brunch. All 3 courses were delicious & thoughtfully crafted. The service was amazing, Edwin was great, friendly, attentive & knew so much about the menu.

The food was delicious! One of the best meals I have had in a long while. The service was attentive and appropriate. The cocktail was lovely. Great outdoor seating overlooking the river. It was recommended to me and I highly recommend it as well.

Absolutely fantastic! I loved all my choices. Polipo (Octopus was fun and refreshing to start). Bucatini Arrabiatta was too spicy for me. I ended up drinking 3 liters of water with it. Yes 3 liters. It was more spicy than I prefer, but it tasted great. Branzini (fish) was exactly what I hoped it would be. This is an excellent choice. Tiramisu (dessert) My eyes did roll to the back of my head and I know I smiled on my first bite. Possibly the best tiramisu I have ever hard!

We had a fantastic time, we sat at the bar, service was fantastic and the food was delicious! We enjoyed our experience so much we already have reservations to visit again for restaurant week!

Had a great experience while visiting DC. My Navy Yard has really changed and this area is a great addition. Service was great and the good even better as there were several seafood options like the Octopus appetizers, ROSEMARY & SEA SALT FOCACCIA, and the salmon entree. Neighboring restaurant played good music and didn’t get too loud. Great view of the river and promenade to people watch if you sit outside near the entrance

We had a great dinner at night at Morini. Atmosphere and Ambiance is neat, comfortable and elegant. The restaurant appears super clean. Servers are pleasant, communicative, efficient and knowledgeable. And most importantly the food is nicely presented and taste was delicious. I can highly recommend the pasta dishes!

We've eaten full on dinner here many times over the years, but we recently sat at the bar and snack on cappelletti and meatballs. The bartenders were a fun time and we'll definitely do it again. One small note -- we originally called ahead to see if there was availability before we headed over. The hostess said yes so we walked over. But when we arrived, he then said the wait would be an hour and a half despite the restaurant being empty. That was pretty annoying, but I'm glad there was bar seating available.

Excellent FRESH pastas for us vegetarians and can taste in each bite. We had the Ravioli, mushroom pasta and Pomodoro, nice cheeses and salads were descent. We sat outside in beautiful weather in evening. It is pricey but you pay for location. We parked around the corner 1 block near the river for $5 which is the cheapest I ever found in SC

So many ppl say how good this place is and it’s true. Alfonso took such good care of us at the bar, we had the perfect Friday lunches w libations time. We had the chix parm over spinach, excellent and the muffuletta, that was monstrous! When I think about layering it down thick, this is what I think. Not some chintzy ultra thin see-through cold cut Italian from Pot Belly’s, ack. Osteria Morinis’ is a class act, through in and out. For dessert, we had the Espresso martini, made w real espresso. Delish! I think we just found our Fridays staple.

The service, food, and atmosphere are all fantastic. You can sit near the line and watch the chefs cook. You can sit outside right by the water which is truly relaxing and you get a beautiful view. The servers are helpful and courteous. The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Their bread is supreme.

An incredible location with great ambiance, friendly service, and expertly crafted dishes. The wine list is extensive, there are plenty of mouth watering appetizers, and the portion sizes won't put you in a coma. I would highly recommend the designing of your own charcuterie and cheese board. Pictured is the squid ink pasta, a special ravioli, and an incredible crab pasta dish. Plenty of outdoor seating weather permitting and a nice bar area (with TV) if you're looking to grab a bite more casually. Will definitely be back.

We ate there during Restaurant Week and I had the salmon with black lentils as my main course. It was delicious but I took some home to save room for the wonderful panne cotta. I froze it since I was going out of town. Just had it for lunch today and it tasted even better. I won't wait for restaurant week to go back!

Very good experience. Had to wait on a table for our Valentine’s reservation but a gentleman was very accommodating and made sure we had some drinks ready at the table as an apology. Food was delicious, great staff. Will come back!

My wife and I had a fantastic meal on our date night tonight. Alex was our server and he was absolutely fantastic. There aren't many true professional waiters out there anymore, but he was first class all the way. He made our good evening great. And the food was great as well. The pastas were super delicious and fresh. We can't wait to come back.

Chef's Dinner for our silent auction donation to Special Olympics DC was stupendous! Food, service, drinks all 5/5. Very loud family sitting near us with small kids was distracting the ambience, but what can you do!? Not much. Great time, thank you so much!

First time at HH this evening & $15 pasta Mondays! Squid Ink pasta is yum! Definitely will be back. Service was quick and espresso martini’s were ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

My friend and I stopped by for brunch during DC restaurant week. We had a lovely three-course meal with massive portions for the RW price. My favorite item of the meal was the blueberry lemoncello pancakes. The place had a lovely, warm atmosphere with lots of natural light and pretty orange glass around columns throughout the space. I hope to come back in the spring when it's warm enough to sit outside by the water!

If I could give 1,000 stars I would! I went for dinner by myself on Christmas Eve at 4:30, so I’d get a nice view of the sunset. When booking the reservation I asked if I could be by a window or somewhere cozy and they sat me at the most wonderful table. The sunset was stunning and was paired with the amazing service and phenomenal food (I don’t use that word often to describe food, but it truly was phenomenal). I didn’t order an appetizer because I knew I wouldn’t have room for my dinner lol, so for my dinner I got the rigatoni that came in a wild mushroom ragu, rosemary, and parmigiano. The rigatoni was cooked to an absolutely perfect Al dente (just how I like it). I also ordered a side of grilled chicken breast and it was deliciously seasoned and so juicy. If it weren’t embarrassing, I would’ve picked up the plate and licked it! The hostess was such a sweetheart and both managers, Chris and Daniel, checked in on how I was enjoying my dinner. They were super nice. My server, William, was very nice and was so helpful when figuring out what I wanted. The staff was so kind to top off my dinner with a complementary scoop of their house-made raspberry sorbet. The Navy Yard Ballpark Metro is also a short walk so that was super convenient! If you’re coming to DC or live there I highly recommend making a reservation!

I had a fantastic dinner at Osteria Morini! The atmosphere was great, and our server, Alfonzo, provided excellent service throughout the evening. We started with some drinks—the Sfumato Old Fashioned and Cosmo Ausano were both expertly crafted. For the main course, the Gramigna and Cappelletti were highlights; the pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked. To top it all off, the Tiramisu was amazing—definitely don't skip dessert here! It’s a perfect spot for a nice night out in DC. I highly recommend it if you're in the Navy Yard area.

Osteria Morini is great, the overall atmosphere is nice and is also a great place for drinks in the summer. Outside of happy hour and their Monday deals, this place is pricey for what it is. The appetizers were my favorite part, the focaccia, Brussel sprouts and zucchini outshined the pasta! (As pictured)

Great restaurant week dinner last night. Lots of choices for a $40 meal-great value. Restaurant was packed which slowed seating and service. But sat outside on a lovely evening so the wait was OK. Staff were wonderful and understanding. Desserts were the weakest link but still good. Be adventurous with your selection. The charred octopus was amazing. The pork chop huge and yummy

The only reason im giving 4 out 5 stars is because of the price of the meal for my wife and I. Other than that, the food was out of this world good!! Every bite was better than the first! It's a little hard to find parking, then it was 20 dollars an hour to park. We went on a weeknight around 6ish, so the place was full of people getting off of work and unwinding with a drink and mingling. So it was kind of loud, but still able to talk and hear at the table. We ended our meal with my wife's favorite dessert, Tiramisu. She was blown away with how good it was, raving it was the best she had ever tasted. We will definitely be back when we come back to the DC area.

A buzzing atmosphere when we were there on Wednesday night. They seated us as quickly as possible, even though we arrived early. The service from the manager was great, and we would like to highlight that. We ordered the pasta tasting dish; unfortunately, two of the four pasta dishes were too salty, even after we told them and received replacements. We ate them anyway, as we didn't want to be a bother, but we were both very thirsty when we returned to the hotel. I think this can be easily fixed, but we likely just received a bad batch.

Went to try their pancake brunch! We got the pancake Diavola and the Casarecce pasta. We also got their pancake old fashion and espresso martini. Both drinks were only okay. The pancake was delicious - it was fluffy with the crisp edges that pancakes often times have. Given the price, the pasta was only okay in our perspective - the portion seemed small and the flavor was average. However it might have just paled in comparison to the pancake. If we were to go again we would probably only stick to their pancakes

Beautiful day in Navy Yard...stopped by for the cheapest happy hour left in DC. SEVEN DOLLARS. I sat at the bar where the bartenders were attentive and friendly. Ordered the Hugo Spitz with elderberry and Prosecco. Tasty and refreshing on this warm spring day. For food I got the Pappardelle with lamb. I usually enjoy more red sauce but this was still good. Added the rosemary and sea salt focaccia and it was heavenly. Warm and fresh. Will definitely come back again after passing by so many times.

Food is what you expect from a Italian restaurant in DC. Service was very good. Really loved the Brussel sprouts. The foccaciaa was incredibly salty however.

We’ve been here twice now and it’s very yummy. The first time was outstanding. The burger was phenomenal and the pasta was so so delicious. We tried again during restaurant week and were less impressed. The desserts were yummy as well as the appetizers but the main entree was very meh at best. Overall the atmosphere is great, service is always wonderful and the drinks are good. I’m sure we will be back!

Great first experience at Osteria Moroni. The artichokes and asparagus were my favorite! I preferred my friends tortellini dish over my ravioli dish. The service was good, our waitress was friendly and attentive. Beautiful restaurant right near the water.

pasta was amazing! the sauces were so simple and such good quality. my only dislikes were the fact that the tagliatelle pasta was a little bit over cooked and the mortadella was very expensive for the amount you get (although delicious and imported)

A

Overall, good food, excellent service, fun atmosphere. Only odd thing was a menu item described as rapini (broccoli rabe) but served brocollini instead. One of us is not a brocollini fan!

This place felt overrated. The service is great, all the people there are wonderful. But the food is not good. It seems like the dishes combine a bunch of bold, expensive sounding flavors together, and it ends up tasting bad. I had the tortelli, which had some balsamic that ruined the flavor. I tried some of the tagliatelle, which was also underwhelming. The focaccia was amazing though. The ambience along the waterfront is nice too. For the price of the menu, I was hoping the food would be better but maybe other menu items are.

We came here for a birthday dinner last Sunday. We ordered the following dishes from the menu: 1. Old Fashion - just your regular OF 2. Mock Mule - good enough 3. Arugula salad - scrumptious 4. Six Slices of Bread & Olive Oil $2 - no salt or pepper available, waitress was no where to be found so we just ate it. We also thought it was complimentary but was charged at the end. 5. Rigatoni - delicious with mushroom but too salty. Waitress was no where to be found and we were starving so we just ate it. 4. Spaghetti with meatballs - Spicy and we were never informed this dish would be spicy. The 3 meatballs consisted of pork, beef, and chicken. Again, waitress was not around so we just switched our pasta and ate it. 5. Potatoes in truffle oil - never arrived during meal, we asked another waitress and it came at end of meal free of charge. When it finally arrived, it was super dry and some were undercooked. 6. Tiramisu - delicious! It was disappointing how salty and mediocre the pastas were for an “Italian restaurant.” The best dishes were the salad and Tiramisu. And there was no option to add chicken only to any of the pasta. The waitress was nice but she was too busy closing the restaurant and wasn’t around most of the night. All the staff were pleasant and I’m sure they were understaffed. This restaurant is convenient due to its location with mediocre foods. If you want the true Italian experience, Filomena in Georgetown would be the better option.

Mold, noise, and noodles — but not in a good way. If you’re looking for an “upscale” Italian restaurant that serves food a step above Hamburger Helper while condensation drips from mold-covered A/C vents — this is your spot. The mold was clearly visible on the supply registers, and water was literally dripping down from the ceiling. Combine that with the deafening noise level (think cafeteria with a wine list), and it was hard to tell whether I was dining or enduring some kind of overpriced sensory assault. The service was fine, but the atmosphere? Loud, damp, and questionable. For what they’re charging, this place needs more than ambiance candles — it needs a hazmat team and a dehumidifier.

I used to clean this place in the evenings and I can tell you this place is roach and mice infested. The rodents run through the stove and on top of the counter tops. The leave food boiling overnight not topped up. They don’t clean throughout the day i would really be scrubbing 3 day old grease. Not to mention they only had us coming in there 3 days a week. The place looks atrocious when I got there on the 3 evenings I cleaned I can only imagine what it looked like the rest of the week. Also don’t order anything with onions from this place. They are usually stored uncovers underneath a sink. I would recommend the whole nation to stay far away from this place. P.s. when I asked about there mice problem they said “ it’s just so many of them right now we really can’t do anything.

I was in town for work, I was looking forward to having dinner here all day, and it was terrible. Bad food, bad service, overpriced, do not recommend, I'll be steering friends and coworkers away. To start off, I reserved a table for 1 ahead of time, but they told me that they were slammed and I had to be in and out in under an hour. They put me at a table in a corner behind a pillar in what had to be the worst table in the restaurant, and I ate surrounded by empty tables. It was not busy, but it still took 20 minutes after seating for the waitress to come take my order. The first bad sign was that every pasta sauce on the menu was described as a "ragu." In Italian cooking, that just means meat sauce. It was extremely hard to tell what exactly each dish was; is this one a cream sauce, a tomato sauce, a pepper sauce, maybe a scampi? There was no indication. I asked the waitress what she recommended, and she said the gramigna, and it was awful. Overpowering black pepper fused with fennel in pork sausage, on top of undercooked pasta, with peas inexplicably placed in a cream sauce for good measure. Yes I'm Abruzzese, peas do not belong in cream sauces, Lombards can kick rocks. I got through 3 bites and gave up. The whole affair still cost me $41 for an appetizer and a drink. Got a burger at a joint down the street afterwards, and somehow it was better. As an Italian raised in an Italian kitchen, shame on you.
