Hubby ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, and I ordered manicotti. We had fried raviolis for appetizer, there were 5 pieces (hubby couldn't wait and grabbed 2 immediately as it was served). Everything was really good. Hubby is an Italian from Boston, and he said everything we had was one of the best Italian food he's eaten. Although, the meatballs on hubby's spaghetti was really good but we both felt it didn't really go too well with spaghetti. It's delicious on its own, just doesn't match with the spaghetti. The sauce was also really good, for both the manicotti and the spaghetti. I was just a little bit annoyed that one of the servers took our plates before I was done with the dip for the ravioli. He asked and took the plate as I was dipping the last bite of my ravioli. But aside that, our waitress was really nice and sweet. I was also a tad disappointed they didn't have cannolis for dessert, when the restaurant came up first when I searched for cannoli in the area.

** additional edit** Had another FANTASTIC meal here for our anniversary. Prime rib and seafood augratin. Absolutely wonderful! Not sure what the reviewers from the last 2 weeks are talking about with doubled prices and alacart pricing. It's completely false!*** Edit: We've been here a handful of times over the last year and we're back again for my birthday. Hubs made sure to ask @ the prime rib being med. rare so he's a happy camper. Tonight I order the seafood augratin and OH MY GOODNESS! It was absolutely amazing! Some crustini and or a spoon would've nice though. We've also ordered pizza here several times and will say, the extra price is well worth it! It's the best pizza in the valley so far! Man! That seafood Augratin was amazing!**** We went here for my birthday dinner. Wait time was about 20mins so we sat at the bar and enjoyed a drink. Service all around was good. Disappointment came when our prime rib dinners were delivered over cooked. We ordered medium rare and from the pix you can see they were medium. The waitress did go back and apparently they had run out of Med-rare and failed to notify the servers. Ok I was looking forward to some nice in season veggies but they were super soggy...I'd swear they were frozen...very bland. Lastly, we were 1/2 way through our meals when we realized that they gave my husband both of our horseradish cups....I figured they just served without. Little complaints really but they add up

Their Gyro Pizza is my favorite! We usually eat here once a week, during the summer & Evangelo's never disappoints. We come with a big group, usually 8-10, plus a couple kids, and we never have a hard time finding yummy choices for all. Last night, we ordered everything from pizza, to prime rib, to pasta. The chef was even nice enough to make one of our little guys an off menu item, on a busy Friday night. That's great service!!

Best fried ravioli of my life! This elegant restaurant has a great feel, and excellent food, all while being well priced! Service is great as well! They were very attentive to our drinks and made sure we were well taken care of. I had the Philly with soup, and my husband had the steak sandwich with fries. It’s a lot of food, and we’ll worth it.

Service was great. Husband liked his rib eye. My chicken fettuccine had no flavor, it wasn't worth the $29 they charge. I'll stick with making it at home or getting it at Denali Family Restaurant. Our kid had pizza and wasn't impressed either. If we visit again later, we'll definitely try something else on the menu.

The food has definitely improved over the years, but the atmosphere is still pretty outdated. Gives very...early 90's wine mom vibes. The service can be hit or miss. But, I still keep coming back since they have good steak and pastas. :)

The place is pretty nice, the fettuccine was really runny, like soup, and almost no flavor. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper. However I know I'm probably addicted to salt so those that don't use salt like a faucet will probably love it. The cheese bread is good. The staff are very kind. Place is fancy and looks nice.

I got the chicken alfredo and the taste was not as flavorful as I remember. It took a couple rounds of heavy seasoning for it to be acceptable. Otherwise the service was incredible (as always) and the atmosphere is timelessly classy. Fantastic selection of beers, wine, and liquor.

Pictured is the chicken alfredo, it was so delicious, the chicken parmesan, also very delicious, house salad, super fresh, shrimp cocktail, and the shrimp were huge! Also shared hot wings as an appetizer, and they were amazing. The service was super slow. That is the reason for the 4 stars. Other than that, it was very delicious and had a very nice vibe.

Beautiful space with wonderful views! The service was excellent and attentive. Our appetizer of fried ravioli was quite good, if the dipping sauce could have used a little more seasoning... it was creamy, but a little bland. I got the manicotti and it was okay. I mean it's comfort food of gooey cheese and meat. It was fine, and I ate it all, but really not too memorable. I noticed my wife did not eat much of her seafood alfredo. She took it home and on the way home she said it had no flavor. I warmed it up the next day and wow was she right! It was like a bowl of warm paste. A healthy dose of salt, pepper and other seasoning made it better, but I'll be honest, it takes some skill to make something that thick and flavorless. So all in all, I felt MY meal was just an okay meal, but my wife's more than makes Evangelo's low on my list to return. I wish she would have said something while we were there, but we were with new friends and I'm sure she didn't want to come off as fussy.

The series was so slow. We waited 15m plus for our waitress to get our drinks and food order. By that time, we were running low on water and didn’t get a refill 30m after. I ordered the dinner salad and my family ordered the chicken fettuccine, crab dip, and chicken Alfredo. The food was actually good.. all of the food was good. I just think they were low staffed and were taking a bit. 🤷🏻‍♀️. The atmosphere was kinda high class. A good place to take your loved one(s), just be patient. The food isn’t too bad if you want Italian.

This is a difficult review to write because I’ve been a long-time customer of Evangelo’s. My best friend and I used to eat there once a week for years and it was consistently great. I’ve been a few times in recent years, but have slowly stopped going because the food is always worse and worse each time. Last night was the final straw, though. We went specifically to get their Au Gratin potatoes, which have always been cheesy, creamy, and delicious. What they gave us last night was ridiculous. The potatoes were chunked and boiled to death - like they were making potato salad and reused some potatoes - there was no cheese, it was watery, unseasoned, and they’ve started adding cut up lunch meat (which was never part of the original Au Gratin they used to serve). It tastes like a very poorly made loaded baked potato. It tastes nothing like Potatoes Au Gratin. To put it bluntly, it was nasty. When we mentioned it to the waiter, the table next to us said they seconded our feedback. On top of all this, the quality of the food no longer merits the prices. You can make a dinner yourself that will be ten times as good for half as much. Evangelo’s has lost me as a customer.

***PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES BEWARE*** I called ahead to place a reservation for 8. They didn’t seem to be very prepared, regardless of the reservation. We were seated by the manager. It took 20 minutes for our waiter to acknowledge us, ONLY AFTER my husband went to the manager to request our waitress come to our table. We immediately ordered our drinks, appetizers, and food. An hour 20 later AND AFTER THE RESTAURANT WAS ALREADY CLOSED, we had went to the manager TWICE explaining if our food did not come out quickly we would just leave. The manager then meets me in the hallway and says the food is coming out. I had explained to the waitress THREE TIMES I have a SEVERE allergy to wine, as in anaphylaxis and could literally die. My food comes out with wine sauce on it. She takes my food away and doesn’t say anything. My mom’s chicken was extremely dry and cold. My husband’s pasta had raw onions and was cold. My father in law’s salad came out with his entree. And my mother in law’s potatoes and broccoli were ice cold to the touch. When we explained this to the manager he said to leave with a smile. What a shitty manager and what shitty service.
