Delicious home cooking! And as always staff is great and accommodating!

The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We came here for breakfast and I'd highly recommend it, the service was fast, there were some excellent options on the menu for everyone, and it was easy to eat here with our infant. We especially liked the pancakes, and the bacon was a big hit for the baby.

Had a great meal while visiting Watkins Glen. Service was fantastic. I let the server know I had to run to something but the rest of the party would be staying and she put my order in right away so I got out on time. My hot roast beef sandwich was delicious and the rest of the family loved their food as well. My kids loved it and want to go back next time we’re there.

If you want simple diner eats, this is the place to go! We wanted to find a quick, easy place to grab a meal after a hike. The parking lot was crowded which seemed like a good sign. The breakfast menu was small but honestly, that's how I prefer it. I had the cheese omelette with a side of home fries and my sister had the french toast, also with a side of home fries. Everything hit the spot! I loved that it was inexpensive and it was easy to order things a la carte if you didn't want one of the typical meal options. The home fries were exactly how I liked them. My only minor qualm is I would have loved an alternate cheese choice from American (cheddar cheese, please!). But we both enjoyed our lunch a ton and our waitress (I believe her name was Danielle) was very kind!

My husband and I both a a turkey melt and soup. I had the sweet potato and ham soup and he had the chicken tortellini. They were excellent. You could tell the soup was homemade. The place is clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. Great place for families.

Some of the best buffalo chicken I’ve ever had. Everything tastes so fresh and good! Highly recommend this place and definitely recommend ordering the buffalo fingers. The staff here was friendly and checking in regularly to make sure that everything was going well and to our liking.

Great home style breakfast! Reasonable price, quick turn around with food and very accommodating. We were 8 people and were able to accomodate us without a reservation... Plenty of parking. I had scramble eggs, with bacon and homefries with belgian waffles, not too crazy aboit their homefries but every thing else was delicious, waffles are highly recommended...

It was super crowded when we visited, but managed to snag one of the last parking spots and tables. Even so, the food came out quickly and was delicious. We had the haddock filet, Reuben sandwich, and sweet potato fries. Love the fries! Parking can be tight when the lot is full. Prices are low and well worth it.

I've decided that Curly's Diner is one of my new happy places with its country living decor and pleasant wait staff. The diner is also immaculately CLEAN, and who doesn't love that from a restaurant?! In addition, I appreciate that there are a number of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, such as a lentil burger, a marinated mushroom sandwich, and eggplant parmesan. They are all unique finds for a small, home-cookin' diner, and also delicious.

Very cute diner. I came in with the idea of having breakfast for lunch. But I saw that their special today was veal Parmesan, which I love. It was delicious. It came with a side salad and the portions were very generous. I ended up taking half of it home. The service was friendly, fast, and excellent. Came here while camping at Watkins Glen state park for breakfast. I had the pancakes with home fries and sausage. The pancakes were delicious as was the sausage. Not the biggest fan of the home fries but my bf enjoyed his . Coffee was also good . Price was good too! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area -edit- came back the next day for lunch ! This unassuming little restaurant offers delicious food. After an early morning hike at Watkins Glen State Park we were famished and looking for some filling breakfast. This place is just 0.5 miles from the entrance to the park. It seems popular with locals and tourists alike and is extremely busy(expect half an hour wait times during peak hours). We ordered the pancakes, omelet with a side of their signature homefries and bottomless coffee. We were also extremely happy when the check came. #mustvisit

Always love a seat yourself establishment. Especially when they notice very quickly that you've sat down. Restaurant was moderately busy. Parking lot was full. But despite this we were served quickly and our orders were accurate. Will absolutely be back next time im out near the glen.

Hidden little gem i found on my travels. Amazing food. Very reasonable prices. Had the french dip roast beef, it melted in my mouth. Flavor was on point the au jui was phenomenal, and the horseradish mayo. Wow. I will be back in my travels. Thank you.

Nice little family owned restaurant. They serve lunch and breakfast. Come have a seat in one of their booths or tables and let the servers here pamper you. They are very friendly and efficient. The place and bathrooms are clean. There is a pretty decent sized parking lot. The parking lot and the building are wheelchair and walker friendly. It is within walking distance to several motels and Airbnb's. They take cash, credit or debit cards. Family friendly so bring your kids.

Very homey vibe, relatively quick servers, and the food was SO good. I got eggs, pancakes, and bacon but all of it was perfect, and their eggs were really vibrant and healthy looking, which is hard to find. And by the end of the meal I was shocked by how small the check came out to be; great prices!

Early of April 2025, Excellent. I recommend this place. We went there before noon and ordered from the dinner menu, especially seafood. Both soups and salads are fantastic. We also love their iced tea and fresh, grined-in-house coffee. Will definitely be back. It's way much better than I expected. Added more photo on June 2nd, 2025. Ordered the same thing. 😊

Absolutely delicious food, great service, and a nice diner environment. I got the ham & cheese omelet with home fries and wheat toast, all of which were fantastic. I'm not usually a big omelet person but figured I'd go for it and I'm glad I did. It was really, really well made and extremely tasty! Additionally, I got the sausage biscuits and gravy to split with my husband. This was the star of the show; the perfect amount of salty and just overall fantastic. The diner was pretty busy but that didn't seem to hinder the service or wait time. The vibe was nice, friendly, lake themed. Lots of parking.

We had breakfast here before going to the hike. The place was cute and lovely. The waiter was very friendly and thoughtful. Food was decent regarding both quality and size. The overall menu prices are pretty affordable. I’d highly recommend the restaurant if you plan to eat something before hiking. Will visit back again in future.

We have tried 4 breakfast restaurants in the area over the past few days during our stay in Watkins Glen. My husband, son, his girlfriend and I all agreed this one gets 5 stars. Our waitress Patty was superb. She has to come back 3 times to take our order while my son was on an unexpected phone call and hadn’t a chance to read the menu yet. My Feta and tomato omelet was piping hot. The home fries tasted like they just pulled the potatoes out of the ground fresh. A distinctly fresh and yummy taste. It’s got a long history and we fully enjoyed the fruits of their labor. The trailers across the street were an unusual but homelike site to see.

Stopped in on our way home b/c original diner we wanted to go to was closed. Luckily had table open and were seated and had coffee quickly. Menu is not huge, typical breakfast platters, breakfast sandwiches, and pancakes/french toast. All the food was average to good, seems the homefries are not cooked to order b/c they were not crispy at all and over done. Were in an out in an hour and bill was $30 for 2 breakfasts, 2 coffees and an order of pancakes. No complaints!

This place seemed very popular as we had to wait a bit to be seated. The staff was nice and pleasant. We had to wait a bit for our food which seemed odd when other tables that were sat after us and ordered the same food got theirs a lot quicker than we did. That would my only complaint but we enjoyed eating there when all is said and done.

Sunday morning brunch was extremely busy. Family/friendly atmosphere. We were waited on quickly and received our food quite fast. The coffee was top notch! Pancakes were average. The home made hash was interesting/ different and good. The prices were very good.

A very nice little place with great service ... But , the sausage gravy is the most disgusting thing I have ever tried to eat ..Made with a fatty chicken broth ,and a watery lumpy thickener. . My first time there today ,but sadly will not return .

This is a cute local restaurant. We hit it for breakfast. My breakfast sandwich was very good. The second time we visited it was closer to noon and I wanted scallops for some reason. The portion was substantial and they were perfectly cooked.

Need a rest room break so found this place, really nice clean bathroom. Ladies one with baby changing table. Store has tons of spices and candies by the lb and in boxes. They also offered hot food but cannot comment since we didn't buy. We did order their iced mocha latte which was good.

You know me, when having breakfast at a new spot, I have to try the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were grilled, but there was something different about the gravy. I don't know exactly what, kind of tasted like turkey gravy instead of sausage gravy. It was okay, not the best or worst I've had.

Stopped 2 mornings for breakfast to go since we had our dogs. Food was good and hot pice was good and fast. Friendly staff and she even brought it out to us. Great little place!

A nice spot for breakfast and diner food! The food here was bare bones, no frills, very simple. Each dish was prepared well and fair. Although nothing too outstanding, it was quite enjoyable! The service was great.

The service was outstanding. The coffee was excellent. We had a late lunch of burgers and fries. The burgers were cooked perfectly but we had two issues with the burger buns. They seemed a bit stale and they were much too fragile for the burgers. After just one bite they were breaking up. The regular and the sweet potato fries were both delicious. We finished with a slice each of cherry and blueberry pie. A great finish with our second cups of coffee.

Very friendly family restaurant. Moderately busy on the day we ordered. Will Definitely recommend the omelette (western omelette - it contains ham but if you don’t want that there are multiple options like turkey and bacon ). Waffles and french toast are not as expected and strawberries are not so fresh. Coffee has a nice taste and can be refilled multiple times. Would recommend a Cappuccino.

We were on our way out of town after spending a weekend at a lake house and decided to stop here for breakfast with the group before hitting the road. Everyone's breakfast was really great! The server was very nice and accommodating of 10 people. The place has nice decorations and is a very open and clean feel to it. Will definitely go there again when we are in town next.

If you are going to be in Watkins Glen definitely check this place out so cheat eats. You can get mozzarella sticks for three and change! The servers was so nice and friendly. Everything is clean and sanitized. Breakfast is yummy.

It is was ok. Service was good. Place was quite busy on a summer weekend. They did get my order wrong the second day. I won't recommend the French toast. It's nothing special. White flannel bread dipped in egg. No cinmon.

After being in the family style food service industry for 30 years I tend to set the bar rather high. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and the staff was courteous and polite. The food was tasty but lukewarm. Would I eat there again? Possibly but first impressions are hard to change.

Curly’s made me question the purpose of flavor. If all food simply exists to sustain, must it also inspire? I left full, yet empty, pondering whether taste is real or merely a social construct. (The corned beef hash could do for more corned beef/less hash)

I thought that this family restaurant would be great but I was totally disappointed. One small catfish filet with a raw baked potato, which I sent back and it came back slightly more done but with still raw spots. The waitress said that's how they make their baked potatoes-in the microwave!!! Substituted coleslaw, which was terrible. They only comped it 10 percent. Manager said, we are only small mom and pop place, well I expected more from a small place! Better food at least!

Disappointing breakfast experience. The food was average at best, but the hashbrowns were especially bad, starchy and completely flavorless. Our group of 10 was split into three tables, and two of the groups waited about 30 minutes for their food. The third table’s order wasn’t even entered by the waitress. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to give this restaurant a try the last morning before heading back home and since it had such great reviews. The staff was friendly but the food was very disappointing. The home fries weren’t seasoned and looked like mush and the toast was barely toasted. I wish I had looked at the pictures in the reviews. Everything was just not that tasty. Wouldn’t go back.

Couldn’t eat anything because half our party arrived 5 minutes after us and the staff wouldn’t let their service animal in. Our server covered the cost of the coffee we ordered because I think she felt bad for the inconvenience that’s the restaurant policy was causing us. Service animals are a necessary part of society, if they’re trained I don’t see any issue in having your service animal at your feet while you eat. Will never ever come back and will pass along this information to everyone i see for the rest of my life. Just be a regular human being and not abilist!!!!!! Update: went to Oars pub down the road, so much nicer!! Food is better, vibes are better, staff and owners are amazing!!

Very disappointed -- low prices, but it's just cheap and not a good value. Server was kind and quick, but the home fries tasted like nothing but old oil. Scrambled eggs were brown and overcooked. Sausage gravy was flavorless and meat was a strange texture. Couldn't finish our plates, left hungry.

Waitress was lovely. Food was terrible and took forever to come out. Easily the worst breakfast I've had. I got the "homemade" hash and it was mostly mushy potatoes and heavily seasoned with rosemary? Awful. There was also something hard in my scrambled eggs. Toast barely toasted. Very disappointing.

The food gave me the runs and made me sick and usually I would let it go but my 14 month old was also with me and ate the food I ate and it made her extremely sick. I had ordered the potato things I couldn't even eat it, it was so disgusting but I was still charged for them.

Ordered a fish sandwich and a steak sandwich.. To go... The fish sandwich was completely squished into a ball of tin foil on a hamburger bun... The fish looked old and was 3x the size of the roll. The steak sandwich was a small piece of steak cut in half put in a huge piece of French bread.... Definitely not worth it at all. I got told this is how it always is and even tho it's listed as coming with chips you just don't get them if you order take out.. Still pay full price
