Love, love, love, this place. Best sushi for quality in the clear lake area. Some of the best sushi in the city of Houston to be perfectly honest. Especially price considered. Fresh fresh fresh! Order from there chef's menu as much as possible. Must try is the tuna/salmon "pizza" with micro-greens and truffle oil. Its life changing amazing. On par with my favorite version of this dish served in at the Yellow Tail restaurant located in the Bellagio Las Vegas, NV. That version of the dish has been being served there since 2009 at least. It's now $29. This one here at michiru is $12. Not as good as the Vegas one which is served with big eye tuna, however the convenience and price difference make up for it. I unfortunately did not like the lobster/Pacific roll. Not good for me. Sordfish roll is amazing. Can't go wrong with any sashimi either. Sometimes there can be a wait as the place is small. Call ahead if you can.

I’ve always loved coming to Michiru with my friends, and today I brought my sister for her birthday. Our server Tori was the nicest person ever, and made wonderful (and delicious!) suggestions for dinner. I haven’t been in town in quite a few months, but she even remembered me from my last time at Michiru. She went above and beyond making me and my sister feel like family, the service was incredible as always but Tori really made this a special night for my sister’s 22nd birthday.

Fresh and delicious sushi! Best in the Clear Lake area! The drinks are amazing 🍸 Yes a bit pricey but it is so worth it. Love this place! ❤️😋

Really great service and great food. Came with my 4 year old who recently discovered her love for sushi, and we were treated very well. Our server, Ethan, was accommodating, and the sushi was delicious. They have some dedicated vegetarian sushi rolls, including a tempura sweet potato roll that was incredible. They had a few other vegetarian options but I was stuff after 4 rolls. I will definitely be back to try the portobello!

I come to this place quite frequently, like to the point where my Apple Maps tells me how long it will take me to get to michru anytime I get in the car. The food is amazing and the staff is quite friendly. I am particularly fond of both the crispy rice and the bartender with the glasses. this restaurant has endless options of amazing food and sushi. The bar tender is also quite friendly and remembers regulars and how they like their drinks. Will be be continuing to come back.

The food was delicious 😋 I really enjoyed the Red Snapper and Sushi choices for the appetizer! Blake was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. He made great recommendations which made my selection much easier. He did an excellent job making sure I was taken care of from start to finish!

Went to have dinner last night and received the best service with Isaac. Drinks, recommendations and fast friendly service. All of our rolls were good but the best roll goes to the Kraken Roll. All of the elements were perfect and spicy. Fried Cheesecake with vanilla ice cream, perfectly finished off dinner. And we signed up with their rewards card at our table & our dinner was tonight was added. Isaac was awesome!!!

I forgot to write this last night but I came in around 7 and asked the hostess for a table for 4. She told me it’d be a 20-30 minute wait so we took a seat. Around 25 minutes later she apologized for the wait and showed us to our table and apologized again before leaving us to view the menu. Our server was also incredibly patient with us and helped explain what came in many rolls. The food came out quick after we ordered and was pretty good. Overall the visit was nice and I would definitely come again.

5-10-24: great way to start mother's Day weekend. Great presentation of food. Very tasty food, with delicious dips. Party atmosphere with a good Friday crowd. Maybe a little pricey, but good taste.

The Texas, Spicy Girl and Triton rolls were our favorites. You really can't go wrong with just about any roll here. The servers and bartenders are also well trained and knowledgeable if you are looking for suggestions.

I'm not a fan of sushi but I did enjoy the chicken tempura. The restaurant was clean and the waitress was very nice and attentive. The fried rice was excellent but wish the waitress would have told us of the upcharge for it. I will definitely return and try something else.

I’m not sure if I’ll ever find something I love here… but I’ve given it 3 tries. This last visit, I mentioned I love a shaggy dog roll & the server suggested the Cuban 8. It was okay, except this roll was meat & cream cheese w/ a little spicy mayo in the center, not eel & spicy mayo drizzled over the top. I dunked it in soy sauce & tried to make it work. Service was good though.

First of I’d like to state that I’ve been a customer for years and to be honest Michiru has gone DOWN hill and it’s definitely NOT what it used to be. I requested a table or to sit at the bar, whichever was available first. The hostess were not friendly and did NOT communicate efficiently that the bar was open and therefore allowed other people that were there way after us to just come in and sit at the bar with and without asking. It’s as we didn’t exist and then the hostess would get defensive when we asked any questions. We noticed a couple of open tables with no one sitting on them because they were “reserved”. For a small establishment size and as a paying customer it’s almost insulting to wait almost an hour when you see tables that are not occupied. No one else was waiting to be seated but us. An older lady who I assumed was the manager kept apologizing but the damage was done. The food was basic and not worth the wait. It was loud and people use this place to socialize and go on dates. The tables don’t move fast enough or efficiently. I typically don’t leave reviews but I think 🤔 people should know.
