We sat at the bar and had wonderful service with Katelyn! Two days in row! The food was so great we were thinking about it again the next day and had to go back to try more menu items. This restaurant gets packed at certain times as it seems to be very popular. Same owners as the new Miru Seafood (incredible fine dining) and they suggested we try Michiru and yes it is so wonderful. We tried multiple rolls and they’re so good you don’t have to add any soy sauce to them which is what we prefer. Very tastefully done.

This is hands down the best sushi spot in the area. I get the toro special everytime. One of a kind.

Everything is fresh and delicious. We eat here at least once a month. I recommend the lava sprouts (which can be oily, but so delicious), and the sushi and sashimi platter if you're in to raw fish. The roll it comes with is my favorite, and the little cucumber bites are nice to refresh your palate. If you like rolls, the spicy girl is excellent.

Crab salad appetizer is delicious with the little shavings of apple. We have tried several sushi rolls and they are always fresh and tasty. The restaurant is in a shopping strip on the corner. We had great service. The green tea fried ice cream is definitely worth a try.

This is an excellent place. Our waiter was the absolute best. The food was beyond measure. The flavor fusiona and presentation are on par with a Michelin Star establishment.

This I may go to sushi spot and almost everything I’ve had is great. Andy’s roll is a go to, the triton is great, sashimi appetizer is a great purchase for a purist, and the tuna dumplings is fun for something different. Some times they go a little heavy on the avacado on the dumpling, but it’s still great. For the price this is a safe bet.

We had the shusi shasimi combo that we split. With a salad for me and a cup of soup for my husband, it was the perfect amount of food. Delicious!

Michiru is the best sushi place around here. Best overall experience. Most variety in rolls. Their bar drinks are also excellent. This is where I go to treat myself & my friends. Management is top notch, never once had issues but I know if I did they'd be all over it.

Our server disappeared, and so another server helped us out. The food was good. The place was extremely packed, and it was loud. I would recommend getting there before rush hour because it gets really busy.

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. The fish is always fresh and artfully prepared. The waitstaff is knowledgeable and they have given me good recommendations. The bar is great. I wish they were open for lunch.

Michiru is so amazing! My favorite things to get is the Black Garlic Snapper Carpaccio, Art Of Maki and the Ocean Nest Appetizer! My Favorite Signature Rolls are Orange Tiger, Triton and the Angel roll! Highly recommend Trying this place out! 🤩

Loved this place. Our bartender Jeremy suggest the blossom scallop- great choice. The martini's were fantastic. Never had to wait for anything. He was a top notch bartender with great service and very attentive to our needs. Will definitely request him on our next visit!

Great sushi... a little on the higher end... but vert good food.. quality sashimi... if i had one thing that i did not like, there is lack of consistancy. One day the slices are bigger, next they are smaller.

The sushi was the best I’ve had in the Houston area! Be prepared to spend a couple hours here for dinner because the service is not especially fast but we’ll worth the wait.

I've been going here every year for my birthday, since I was 13. This is my first birthday without them, and since we moved up to Oklahoma I've been really sad, because nothing compares to Michiru. I genuinely miss my go-to sushi place 😭

Pleasant place with nice Staff. Rolls were tasty, fresh and large. There is a lunch menu with 2 and 3 roll speciale-limited choice of rolls. Main menu has many options. Most individuals rolls run about $12-$14. I'll visit again! Pictured Left to right...Crazy Girl, Chef Special and Texas Roll. Middle roll had shrimp tempura. I normally don't care for it but their batter was thin and didn't overpower the other meats and sauces! I recommend you to try this place out!

First off, Isaac is a WONDERFUL server. In celebration of my summer vacation kicking off, I ordered the MIO Sparkling Sake (if you like sweet drinks in general, THIS is the one for you). As far as food, I ordered the Kind Crab California roll, Spider Roll, and Fire Island Roll (delicious with a little kick). They open at 4pm, but they're worth the wait.

Birthday dinner did not disappoint! Got the whole cusubé experience and was greatly satisfied 👍🏽

Definitely one of the best places to eat good sushi, the service is always great, everything you try is delicious, my personal recommendation would be the High Tide Roll, this is my husband's and my favorite place, we always go on anniversaries, birthdays and any day in general, my only recommendation would be to improve the drinks a little, it seems like they have had different bartenders and sometimes the drinks are good and other times they are not!

Very pleasant staff and knowledgeable servers. The food is delicious: I highly recommend the portobello mushroom sushi and the sweet potato sushi. The Wine and sake list are within reason and offer a wider variety of options than I expected for this style of establishment (a big positive).

I was here a few nights ago and my server Jeremy was amazing, his knowledge on sushi is really impressive, he’s informative, friendly, and he makes the best Japanese old fashion I’ve ever had. So if you want a great experience from start to finish, ask for Jeremy!!

Totally yummy! My new go-to place anytime I’m craving sushi. Everything I’ve tried (which is most menu items & specials) has been fresh & hits the tastebuds! This is hands down my favorite sushi place in the Webster/Clear Lake Area. My brother and I have met for lunch at Michiru for years. I highly recommend coming before 3:00 PM during the week for the best value. At lunch, you can get 3 sushi rolls and soup for about $12.50. We both always get the Alaska, Spicy Salmon, and the Shrimp Tempura rolls. The wonton soup is easily the best wonton soup I’ve ever had. The customer service and food quality is consistently great. I absolutely love this place!

What a gem! Some of the best sushi and sashimi I have ever tasted...the Tuna dumplings are amazing...so fresh and vibrant. The dancing eel, the dynamite roll, the king salmon, oysters and chicken Tempura. Something for everyone's pallet. Do yourself a favor and experience a flavor explosion for your taste buds...will definitely return...

I really like their sushi rolls. We have tried " High Tide Roll"; " Orange Tiger Roll, "Toro Special Roll" and " Kraken Roll". The rolls were a few dollars more than those of some other places, but better quality (with a piece of fish on top; not like some other cheaper places where the roll only has a token size of fish piece in the middle of the roll). The only thing, the place could lower the music a bit.

I came in yesterday and all of the staff were so nice and kind. Everyone answered my questions with knowledge and were so helpful. The food was delicious, i will definitely be back! Good job, it’s rare i’m impressed with restaurant service these days but michiru blew me away.

The sushi here is delicious and so are the drinks. We have had sashimi, signature rolls, hot fish - everything is always fresh and very good. Highly recommend.

Love, love, love, this place. Best sushi for quality in the clear lake area. Some of the best sushi in the city of Houston to be perfectly honest. Especially price considered. Fresh fresh fresh! Order from there chef's menu as much as possible. Must try is the tuna/salmon "pizza" with micro-greens and truffle oil. Its life changing amazing. On par with my favorite version of this dish served in at the Yellow Tail restaurant located in the Bellagio Las Vegas, NV. That version of the dish has been being served there since 2009 at least. It's now $29. This one here at michiru is $12. Not as good as the Vegas one which is served with big eye tuna, however the convenience and price difference make up for it. I unfortunately did not like the lobster/Pacific roll. Not good for me. Sordfish roll is amazing. Can't go wrong with any sashimi either. Sometimes there can be a wait as the place is small. Call ahead if you can.

I’ve always loved coming to Michiru with my friends, and today I brought my sister for her birthday. Our server Tori was the nicest person ever, and made wonderful (and delicious!) suggestions for dinner. I haven’t been in town in quite a few months, but she even remembered me from my last time at Michiru. She went above and beyond making me and my sister feel like family, the service was incredible as always but Tori really made this a special night for my sister’s 22nd birthday.

Really great service and great food. Came with my 4 year old who recently discovered her love for sushi, and we were treated very well. Our server, Ethan, was accommodating, and the sushi was delicious. They have some dedicated vegetarian sushi rolls, including a tempura sweet potato roll that was incredible. They had a few other vegetarian options but I was stuff after 4 rolls. I will definitely be back to try the portobello!

I come to this place quite frequently, like to the point where my Apple Maps tells me how long it will take me to get to michru anytime I get in the car. The food is amazing and the staff is quite friendly. I am particularly fond of both the crispy rice and the bartender with the glasses. this restaurant has endless options of amazing food and sushi. The bar tender is also quite friendly and remembers regulars and how they like their drinks. Will be be continuing to come back.

Went to have dinner last night and received the best service with Isaac. Drinks, recommendations and fast friendly service. All of our rolls were good but the best roll goes to the Kraken Roll. All of the elements were perfect and spicy. Fried Cheesecake with vanilla ice cream, perfectly finished off dinner. And we signed up with their rewards card at our table & our dinner was tonight was added. Isaac was awesome!!!

I would have given this place five stars, but it seemed that our server was rushing us through dinner. Be that as it may, the food was very good. The sushi was fresh and a good portion. Also, the bento box was awesome! Drinks not bad either. I'll go back because it's not about the server, it's about the food. Hopefully, we're right get her next time....

My son and I are new to sushi. The server was very kind and helped us choose the right thing for a beginner. The food was good, but I don’t think I’m gonna be a sushi person. The restaurant was nice, but it was quite loud and a tad on the expensive side.

A bit pricey but worth it! First time and liked the food and atmosphere. It's a bit pricey $40 on 2 rolls but the food was good! Server seemed annoyed besides that it was good.

I took sushi combo in dinner time and it’s taste is very closed to the original from Japan. Staffs in this restaurant are friendly and inside is nice atmosphere. I like this restaurant so I must come back!

The only reason this rating is 4 star was because of the poor welcome we received while entering the restaurant. The hostess seemed very bothered that she had to seat us and was not welcoming at all. Luckily, we had Manny as our waiter. He was able to make our dinner enjoyable and his customer service and dinner recommendations was superb. Make sure to try the crab meat salad and the Triton 2.0!

Great place to eat. Food is wonderful and fresh. We have a child with severe food allergies and they accommodate us every time so she can eat there as well. Ask for Nicole to be your server she is amazing!

I forgot to write this last night but I came in around 7 and asked the hostess for a table for 4. She told me it’d be a 20-30 minute wait so we took a seat. Around 25 minutes later she apologized for the wait and showed us to our table and apologized again before leaving us to view the menu. Our server was also incredibly patient with us and helped explain what came in many rolls. The food came out quick after we ordered and was pretty good. Overall the visit was nice and I would definitely come again.

I'm not a fan of sushi but I did enjoy the chicken tempura. The restaurant was clean and the waitress was very nice and attentive. The fried rice was excellent but wish the waitress would have told us of the upcharge for it. I will definitely return and try something else.

Customer service was on point. The food did take longer to serve. When it finally did arrive at our table it was by far cold and soggy, and served in a very awkward dish to cut and bite size pieces ( bento). The hubby did have the sushi and by his standard and opinion it was fantastic. That is why it is getting three stars. But that would be our first and last visit for how much we spent you would expect a little bit more experience in serve time.

My husband and I occasionally dine here. Food and drinks are always good. We’ve always had a pleasant experience. That is until yesterday, 7/29/23 we got there at 4 p.m, not terribly busy yet since that is the time they open. Server took our drinks, brought them and took our appetizer order, that didn’t take too long to come out. Before we were done with all 3 of our appetizers, we ordered sushi and a few rolls, well.. that did take forever to come out. Not sure if she the server ( we did not get her name) forgot to put in our order or what but we waited for a while for our food to come out. Families that got there way after we did, left before we were done with our dinner. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with the service. I will try to get the servers name and talk to management about this so other customers don’t have the same experience as we did.

Love this place and it is the best sushi I have ever eaten. HOWEVER the last two times I have been have been less than stellar. The food that I order is about the different flavors. Once they forgot my wasabi and this recent visit they forgot the soy. I know this isn’t a big deal but when I order I expect all the condiments and accompaniments that come with my order. Please Michiru get back to checking orders correctly and ensuring that all patrons, to go and in person get the same experience.

I’m not sure if I’ll ever find something I love here… but I’ve given it 3 tries. This last visit, I mentioned I love a shaggy dog roll & the server suggested the Cuban 8. It was okay, except this roll was meat & cream cheese w/ a little spicy mayo in the center, not eel & spicy mayo drizzled over the top. I dunked it in soy sauce & tried to make it work. Service was good though.

The food is really good, but most of the time, service is super slow, and while things can get overwhelming. I still see them serving most of the other customers and spent most of the time handling payment rather than serving other customers here, waited more than an hour for food, don't come here for dinner and be EARLY for lunch 👎👎👎

Very Bad food we all got food poisoning service was very bad. They sit on your table. They don’t come to check back on you to take the order they pretend to be friendly, but they need a lot of hospitality experience. Their machine card has an issue. I got my card blocked from my bank, I don’t advise this restaurant. The manager is very kind. He gave us discount after all the food quality is not good and the service team need more experience. .

It took a while to receive a table then when we got seated we waited even longer for a server to take our drink order. When we finally receive some food....the noodles were burnt! And they didn't try to take them off the check or offer to make my kid something different....NOTHING!

So disappointing, even the most basic salmon sushi we ordered was horrible, the rice was cold and hard.

First of I’d like to state that I’ve been a customer for years and to be honest Michiru has gone DOWN hill and it’s definitely NOT what it used to be. I requested a table or to sit at the bar, whichever was available first. The hostess were not friendly and did NOT communicate efficiently that the bar was open and therefore allowed other people that were there way after us to just come in and sit at the bar with and without asking. It’s as we didn’t exist and then the hostess would get defensive when we asked any questions. We noticed a couple of open tables with no one sitting on them because they were “reserved”. For a small establishment size and as a paying customer it’s almost insulting to wait almost an hour when you see tables that are not occupied. No one else was waiting to be seated but us. An older lady who I assumed was the manager kept apologizing but the damage was done. The food was basic and not worth the wait. It was loud and people use this place to socialize and go on dates. The tables don’t move fast enough or efficiently. I typically don’t leave reviews but I think 🤔 people should know.
