This may be the best short rib I’ve ever had! The marscapone risotto! Micheal the bartender was awesome, knowledgeable and attentive. He’s the best! He gave great wine recommendations too!
One of my all time favorite places in westerville to hangout and get dinner. The ambiance is perfectly cozy and tailored to a laid back yet not too casual night out. The wine selection is ever-growing, and every Tuesday is a true half off all bottles of wine across the hundreds of labels they have on their walls. The food is always consistent and priced accordingly, with the French Brie being one of my favorite appetizers in the city. Mark and Nate who have been there forever offer the most personable and welcoming customer experience across the board, so much so to where we like to go especially only when they’re behind the bar. A must try for anyone living in the westerville area.
This was the first time I was here sitting in the dining room for a meal. I was here once before for a volunteer event where we had booked one of the private party rooms at the front door. When I was here then I didn't get to see how neat the decorations are here, and we had just a few options of food that was catered to us. I'm a picky eater, so I wasn't too big of a fan of what I had to choose from, but I do remember the staff being fantastic. This time my husband and I went for an early dinner (a Monday at 5:00 p.m. so no wait). We had Nora as our waitress and she was fantastic!! We got a pepperoni jalapeno pizza, and a chicken tortellini pasta, and they both were very tasty. Prices were high for what you got, but it's worth it just for the great service and the amazing ambiance. There was so much to look at and you felt like you were on vacation in another country. I will say I did have limited menu options due to my pickiness, but there were certainly things on there that sounded good. I will definitely be going back!
Stopped in for Brunch and happy we did. What a beautiful place. Service was top notch. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Brunch was delicious now looking forward to going back for a dinner or two...or three. Great place.
2nd visit-Napa Kitchen and Bar is a great spot! This was my second visit, and it was just as good as the first. Tried the pizza this time and it was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Consistently a fantastic experience. 1st Jeremy was great this evening. The food was amazing and the dessert was superb. The table had the Tuscan Popcorn, Baked French Brie and the Sliders. All were amazing. Everyone raved about their meal from the Vegan Fried Rice, Calamari, The Juliette to the Shrimp Risotto all was great and prep just right. The table also shared the Cheesecake and Chocolate Cake, both were decadent! Highly Recommend!
We had no idea this place existed but saw it on the list of Restaurant Week so we decided to check it out. The atmosphere inside is beautiful with unique lighting fixtures throughout. We sat outside and this place has a great patio! My husband loved the veal meatball starter and described it as “melt in your mouth” delicious. The meals we got were grilled shrimp and risotto as well as the rigatoni and both amazing! The peanut butter cake was super rich and moist and the donut bread pudding & house-made espresso ice cream will be something I dream about. The portions are definitely not small as we left very full and happy 😊 We will be regulars here now!!
Went here for our Valentine's date night (had reservations). The restaurant has a very nice decor and atmosphere. Our server (Taylor) was super friendly and attentive and had good recommendations. I had the Beef Short Ribs with Risotto and my wife had the Grilled Shrimp with Risotto. Both were delicious. And the bread pudding for dessert was awesome. Definitely will add this restaurant to our local list.
First time visit this evening and it was truly a five-star experience. The overall ambiance is open and airy but still manage to give you a sense of personal space as well. The food was stellar. I had the Glazed Salmon with Jasmine Rice and Sautéed Vegetable Medley and the flavors across the board were fantastic. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Superb place! Totally recommend this restaurant.
Quality lunch and dinners! Great date night. New menu items - no flat bread but pizza now yet same concept. We had Juliet pizza. Napa Salad was delicious as usual. Cosmo and Old Fashioned did not disappoint, bar maid serves’m up! Celina was our waitress, exceptional. Need a Romeo Pizza to go with Juliet 8)
Just held an 80th birthday for my mother here. The private room is a great place for a party. The buffet lunch was so good. All the guests were commenting on the quality of food, too. The manager and wait staff are the best as well.
The food was excellent. We had the shrimp risotto with asparagus and the twin filet with Parmesan risotto and broccolini. We also had the lemon cheesecake. Everything was so divine.
I must say, I have added this on my maps as a place to return to. The food was very good. Not overly pricey either. I was satisfied with the wine selection and ended up leaving with a bottle. Great place to bring a date!
Great meal, served hot and fresh, great spices in each dish!
Great service, terrific wine selection (which is what one would expect from a place by this name). Pretty good gluten free options. I had the risotto and my eye had one of the pizzas. Both were really good.
Super cocktail of rhubarb bourbon smash & hubby had peach bourbon. Fresh salad for him and tomato basil for me. Dinner was herbal pork chop with rice and veggies all done to perfection (Bill loved it) I had orange grilled salmon with rice and veggies (so moist and delicious) No date nite dinner is complete without dessert, the key lime pie was heaven. We will be back and spread the word; delicious food, superb service, terrific drinks, helpful staff and reasonably priced $$
Came with team and awesome food and drinks. Service is good and Atmosphere is awesome. Enjoyed and nice and pleasant place to chill with friends and family..
Amazing food. Great service.
Food and wine was all super tasty! Abby, our server, was amazing and we enjoyed all of her recommendations from the menu! Ambience in the restaurant is also super chill, beautiful and rustic! Picture is the Roasted Vegetable Stack with salmon.
Amazing environment and ambience, very large, comfortable and beautiful! Very good selection of menu wines, which american, south american and french well selected grapes! The bartender was very friendly and aware!
The service was excellent. The food was tasty. Our party of four was very happy, and it was our first time dining here. I enjoyed the beef short ribs with roasted mushroom risotto, and glazed carrots. Yum!
Great food, bread pudding dessert best I've ever had. Great service, great atmosphere...Veal meatball appetizer delicious!
Napa is one of many hidden gems in Westerville. The atmosphere is very inviting and the wine is fantastic. They are very knowledgeable about their selection. Staff has always been great. The food has always been wonderful. The steak salad is fantastic.
Came here for restaurant week. It was fabulous! Service was excellent, our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. The baked brie was the star of the meal. Amazing. We'll be back.
Lovely restaurant for a family dinner. The noise level was low enough for us to actually talk! The food was delicious with nuanced flavors and great texture. Our server was perfectly pleasant. I hope to find myself back in the near future!
A hidden gem! As soon as you walk in the door, you are welcomed. The decor is so warm, cozy and inviting; a little taste of wine country. The wine and food is excellent. I've been here for happy hour/dinner and most recently lunch. The appetizers and meals have been consistently delicious. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable on the wines and menu items. Excellent service and reasonable prices. We will definitely be back!
Love this place! Fire the marketing department because they deserve at least a 4.8 rating. Really clean and beautiful inside. Delicious food and cocktails. Better cheeseburger than Northstar.
Love 💕 this place, atmosphere is quaint, rustic Italian. Very clean and upscale. We stopped in for appetizers during happy hour...wow! Food was hot, fresh, and very flavor forward. What a gem! Great food, romantic, classy atmosphere, and we left feeling like we got a bang for our buck!
Went here for a Bday dinner. The inside of this restaurant is beautiful! Having lived in Napa it does feel like you're in a winery. The food was delicious but the serving size was a bit too small. An hour later I had to eat more at home. I also tried two of their cocktails. The spicy Margarita was one of the best I've had.
We came here with work colleagues. The staff was super helpful. They gave us the private room in the back and the minimum was very well priced. The food and drinks were wonderful. We ordered a variety of things. Only thing was the steaks were overcooked but everything else tasted delicious!
My first time eating here, I took my daughter there for lunch for her birthday. I ordered the PLT which was salmon sandwich. Really good. Sweet potato fries were crispy and seasoned. Well. My daughter got french onion soup and a half pizza, everything we got was really really good. Definitely will be back.
Stopped in for an appetizer. The menu is very limited in offerings. We grabbed the sweet potato fries. They were good, could have used more aioli, overall tasty. The star is for the limited options. I recommend reviewing the menu prior to see if they have anything if interest to you.
Really nice, very pretty. The meals were pricey but delicious. Our server brought our food, but was not exceptional.
For a unique and memorable dining experience, look no further than Napa Kitchen in Westerville, just outside Columbus, Ohio. I had the pleasure of attending their monthly food and wine tasting event, featuring a delightful "5-course tasting and celebration of Portuguese wines." From the warm welcome, elegant ambiance, to the expertly guided courses paired with Portuguese wines, the evening was truly unforgettable. Highlights included a delicate summer salad with honey-glazed peaches and toasted pistachios paired perfectly with Quinta da Mariposa white wine. Or, the Quinta de Lemos Dona Santana was the perfect complement with the melt in your mouth braised short ribs in a red wine reduction. However, the star of the evening, however, was the wine selection, including the special release 2015 Sidonio de Sousa Vinho d’ Autor. Add to this, each dish, expertly crafted by the chef, enhanced the flavors of every pour. If you're in Columbus, Ohio, be sure to check out Napa Kitchen's upcoming events or just for a good meal and great wines; you won't be disappointed! 🍇🍴🌹 VERY SPECIAL THANKS: I am grateful to General Manager Teresa Decker for taking pity on me as a party of one and for her last-minute invitation to attend this tasting. I also extend my appreciation to the exceptional Executive Chef Mya Gonsalves, who took on the challenge of curating the evening's tasting, expertly pairing the wines and creating layers of flavors.
A wonderful hidden gem in Westerville. The food and service was great. They have a great selection of wines you can walk around and choose from. The menu was simple yet nice with good choices. I will definitely go back.
Let’s get down to it. Veggie Stack with red pepper coulis, very mild flavor, nice choice for a lighter dinner. This place has overwhelming country charm decor. A wine bar at the front when you walk in with a good selection, looks like a good location for private party. They also have dog friendly patio, will be returning when weather gets warm.
I really like this place. Food is decently priced, we've only been here during Restaurant Week, but the selection is pretty good. I got a wine flight this time and enjoyed two of the three! The food tastes really good, really well seasoned. The portion sizes are not huge, but perfect for me!
Went for brunch, and we enjoyed the ambiance. Had the bloody Mary flight and the eggs benidicto. The bourbon bbq bloody Mary was the clear winner, and the food was tasty though the eggs were slightly over cooked. The only thing we wish would've been better was the service. It was incredibly slow even though it was not busy. Took 25 minutes just to have our drinks arrive.
Very good service great food, don't believe open table when making reservations, call restaurant directly.
Went for my husband's birthday. It has a fine collection of wine. Ambience is wonderful and service is also good. Food is tasty but large plates are a way overpriced for the portion size is too less. Overall, a good experience for the first time. I would like to visit again but won't order the same menu.
I visited here on a Sunday around lunchtime. It was not busy at all. The food came out rather quickly, and the service was pretty good. The pizza I would consider to be below average. If I came here again I would probably try something besides the pizza, I had the pizza at their Easton location and it was delicious. The pizza between the two locations is vastly different.
Atmosphere had a nice look to it despite customers pretending not to hear their kids crying. Pasta was decent but chicken dish was way over done and needed sauce. Hamburger was pretty good and cooked perfectly medium rare. Lack of help, expect long wait times.
The atmosphere is amazing. I felt like I was in wine country. Very nice decor and ambiance! Service was ok. Nothing great, nothing poor. Our server seemed upset or frustrated, and it showed. She tried to push through the challenges of the evening. I think the fact that she was over sat and being pulled in different directions affected her. Apparently, the server we requested had quit. So, there might be an internal struggle. Food was ok, but lacked in presentation. The Brie plate was amazing and had great presentation but the main courses of the shrimp with Rosotto and the salmon were lacking. I could tell my plate sat for a while in the window before delivery. If I lived here locally I might go back, but if I was taking a member of my family out for a celebration dinner I might recommend somewhere else until they can fully staff the restaurant. And not overwork their service staff.
First visit. Nice atmosphere and good service. Portions for entrees were very small for the price and it bit underwhelming. Desserts were also small for $8. Wine flights looked interesting. Hamburger was a good size.
Very small portions for the price and my salmon was not Cooked enough on the outside to even give the grill.Charlies.The other ladies that I dined with their salmon was cooked beautifully
We visited on New Year's Eve in the afternoon. It is an upscale bar / wine bar. We are not wine drinkers so I cannot comment on the quality of the wine. We sat at the bar because we did not have reservations. It has a pleasant atmosphere and a nice copper covered bar. I had beef stroganoff . My wife had a salmon sandwich. Both were pretty good but not out of this world. We also had french onion soup which was excellent. The service was pretty good but not great. The prices were very high for us. So overall rate it 3.5 Stars.
We came here over a year ago and had a bad experience where our food was served to us cold - like refrigerator cold, not just room temperature. Well, we thought they deserved another chance. I’m not fussy, but look at this picture. I ordered a club sandwich where a big part of it is the tomato. When I couldn’t bite through it, I pulled it out. When the server asked how everything was, I showed it to her. Do you think she brought another piece out? Nope. I’m not thinking they deserve another chance.
Atmosphere great but food quality below average. The bread tasted 1 week old. Food does not taste fresh. Would only come for drinks next time
My wife and I have dined at Napa Kitchen several times before and have had much better experiences than we did on this visit. I ordered the braised short ribs with carrots and risotto. Unfortunately, the short ribs were so fatty that I left about 75% of them on the plate, though the risotto was well prepared and enjoyable. My wife chose the shrimp with risotto. The shrimp was nicely cooked, but her risotto was underdone, with bits of hard arborio rice throughout. We ordered the bread pudding to go and just finished it at home—outstanding. Overall, we rated the food two stars. Any chef or sous chef should recognize that short ribs shouldn’t arrive at the table jiggling like gelatin, and properly cooked risotto is a basic expectation when dining out rather than cooking at home. Service earned three stars. While our server was prompt and attentive in terms of timing, we were never asked how our meal was, which left us wondering whether staff preferred not to ask. On a positive note, the atmosphere was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Excluding wine, our total food bill was junder $80
Is this even acceptable? This isn't an order I asked to take home. I ordered a take out Juliet Flatbread and I got this. I've order Flatbread/Pizza as a take out previously and it came in a pizza box. Just handed me this bag and said thanks...no explanation that maybe they have no boxes or just assumed I wanted it piled on top of each other. Oh maybe I should eat it like a stack of pancakes? Pretty pathetic.
The drinks were okay. For the price the old fashioned was extremely watered down and it was crazy they charged that much for a mocktail. The food on the other hand was plain gross. My steak had no flavor. The potatoes? No flavor. And my husband dinner? You guessed it, no flavor. We ended up paying for our drinks and going to asterisk where the mocktail was half the price and twice the flavor and everything was delicious and quick. It was a weird atmosphere too. We were one of the very few people even there. Maybe there was one other couple? Yet it took forever to get our food. I think over 40 minutes? It was a weird experience through and through. Maybe it was a fluke, but judging by recent reviews maybe not. Every employee looked like they didn't want to be there and by the end, we felt the same 😅 we were so excited to try it, and even went as an early anniversary celebration but left feeling frustrated and disappointed
