Dakao is a Vietnamese food to-go spot known for party trays and a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes. While many enjoy the convenience and selection, some customers have reported issues with freshness, pricing inconsistencies, and customer service, particularly regarding language barriers and change accuracy.
Tip: Be careful with your change and double-check the price. It's best to go in the morning for easier parking.

Great authentic « to go » stuff for cheap prices, so much to choose from and great for large quantities.
Authentic Vietnamese Street quick food deserts & sandwiches. No mistaken no risk taken ALL are Delicious!
got the goi ga to go, it was amazing
My favorite is Bò Lá Lốt (Piper Lolot Leaves wrapped beef meat rolls)
This is a small store with good Asian food - vietnamese mostly.
Great place for home style vietnamese food that's open super early
The best hazelnut cafe sua da! Great togo food and cheap prices
The food was delicious and tasty. Love it.
Best food to go period! Always fresh
This is where we got mi xao. They were very courteous and took care of one issue.
Varieties of tasty Vietnamese food. One stop for all caterings
We came here last on Father day, all kinds of Vietnamese food are ready, they are so delicious, we bough couple boxes to celebrate Father! Thanks Dakao Food to go!
Better than Lee's and cost the same. They use some sort of sauch on their pork, which doesn't make the sandwhich as dry. They also have lots of side items to chose from.
They gave us a lot of food for a good price:)
This deli is packed with great foods and drinks. Everyone should stop by there after you read my comments
Great party trays here!!! The Vietnamese food to go here are great and I love the salad party trays from here. I must say that don't add the sauce fish to your salad before you try it because my experience is that you don't need it.
Such great food. Love everything I have tried.
Like any other asian food stores all the usual items you find eslewhere is here. I like it because its within the same plaza as Stater Bros. I bought myself some fried shrimp chips and some asian cookies. They do sell party foods ready to go in a tin container for you to buy. Easy place to find. You might need to come early though if you're heading here or bring an extra friend when coming to this plaza because sometimes it takes awhile to find parking. You can just drop off someone to head inside to buy some food while waiting for a parking space.

This place had a variety food to order for one person or the party of 20 or more.
Courtesy and kind.
Cash only. Great o mai!
Always reliable quality and rushed unfriendly service. Lol
Good fast foods for reasonable prices. Lots of choices for fast foods to go. Needs to do more to keep flies away from the foods.
Their Vietnamese ice coffee is on my top 10. Swing by in the morning and you'll have no problem with parking. This is a food to go only shop so no tables for you to eat. They also specialize in party trays.
It’s a well known Vietnamese Food Togo establishment, if you’re looking to pickup ice coffee or Vietnamese Togo foods this is your spot. They got eggrolls, Bánh Mi/sandwiches to dry noodles or hot soup!!

Good food but service needs lots of improvement
Convenient Vietnamese food to go. It's easy for picking up last minute party trays. Food trays are packed and ready to go.
Easy last minute place to get party trays. Food sites not taste good the next day though.
I was excited to try their bun bo hue since this place was highly recommended by one of Vietnamese friend. It turns out I didn't like their bun bo hue as much as I enjoyed the ones from Ng Binh. This broth didn't have the same intensity of deep flavors.
CASH ONLY Food: we got the white/yellowish potatoes with coconut in square container - very rich and tasty! Got the white smoothie - don't get the smoothies...a lot of little ice chips in them and extremely sweet - no! Service: to the point Atmosphere: basic I would not go back.
First time here. Needed to buy food for a party. It is expensive and the food is OK. The staff is fairly nice, but you can tell they treat non Vietnamese people differently. I got the party size noodles and the taste was fine. Nothing overly exceptional. I don't think I will be back. Not because anything was bad, but for the price, I can go to other places for better food and cheaper.

If you like cheap bad tasting foods then this is your place.
I’m not familiar with the lady boss, but I’ve observed consistently poor customer service and disrespectful behavior toward clients. I’ve supported your business, yet I’m now looking at alternative options. If you address staff conduct and customer respect, I’d consider returning.
I don't speak Vietnamese, the ladies don't speak much English. However, there is one customer who kindly helped me out. I asked for vegetarian sandwich. It's $4. That's a lot. I could get one cheaper at Lee's Sandwich. The customer told me I could go to Ban Mi Che Cali for cheaper sandwich but this place is good. The sandwich didn't taste like vegetarian at all. I couldn't tell what ingredients were in it. Judge for yourself, is it vegetarian? I gave $5 to the lady. She walked away without giving me my change. I stood there waiting for her for 1 minute for the change.

The food here is very cheap but it's not good.
I have went here for a long and now after COVID. They've raised the price where I feel it's unreasonable compare to other places. Food prices have went but they still kept their old prices. And so I noticed there's so much less customer now. I won't be coming back to this place anymore.
One of those frustrating CASH only business so the owners can hide income from the tax man while sporting ginormous rocks on their fingers! Food gets left out for who knows how long and usually ends up tasting spoiled by the time I get it home (roughly 15-20 min drive) if I pick up items on their counter. I saw cooks stick their finger into the food they were cooking to taste it, stick their finger into their mouths, adjust seasonings, stick it back into the food again for another taste, and immediately transfer the food into a tray to sell. I guess their germs are a special ingredient! Their Vietnamese salads are kept in the fridge and are a "safer" thing to purchase. Prices are fair and the food is decent enough for take out, but I personally don't like carrying cash so I rarely go here unless someone requests food specifically from here. In most cases I try to sway them towards something else since this place is out of my way and I'm not a fan of places that are allergic to using a register and clearly only accepts CASH and rings people up verbally to avoid having an electronic and recorded money trail lol.

no more quality, old food, give them so many chances, still failed.I used to come here for years, but 4 years lately always disappoint.
I drove all the way over here because website says they are open until 9pm. I get here at 7pm and the stupid place is closed!
This place sale old foods. I bought in the morning, got home I put it in refrigerator but night time it got smell. Never come back
The food very bad & everything food this place look like old. I don't want to comeback again
Rude. Raise the price because we doesn't want to take the togo food that she insisted to sell. We end up buy it with high price because it doesn't matter, but they deserve a true review for bad customer service.
Not recommend. Very bad customer service! I just went to the store to order foods. They told me that they opened every day at 0600; so, I order the foods to be picked up at 0630 this coming Friday for potlucks at work. Then, they told me that they could not do it that early, “at least 0700”. Well, I walked out and went to a different store. This store was supposed to open from 0700am-0700pm. However, they were happy to take my orders and let me pick up the foods at 0630. No wonder this Seaport Dakao store is going down. They don’t want business so we should go to other places.
I normally don’t give 1 star unless I am extremely upset. I ordered about $250 worth of foods for a party at home. The noodles tray was spoiled and not edible. The rest of the foods are completely cold - looks like they cooked it since yesterday. Please do yourself a favor and buy foods from somewhere else
Be careful with change money. The old lady just gave me 50 cents instead of $2.50. She told me she gave already but I’m sure I don’t have any dollar bills in my pocket. She threw $2 to my face without any apology.
DO NOT GO HERE. This place is very DISGUSTING. A Lady with gloves on the whole time, she never change to new ones. She clean , handle cash, and then serve food with same gloves, ...nasty service. And ,,they 'll CHEAT on price and not giving your change correct.
Went here to buy a coffee with condensed milk (ca phe sua da) and had to wait for a long time to order. There was nothing comparable to a line, and when it was my turn to order, a rude guy cut in front of me to order. The server saw that he cut but ignored the fact that he cut and took his order before mine. There are no number systems or lines of any kind, and people who work here are mindless and rude. I would never give this place my business ever again. Come here if you want to wait for a long time for your food because they don't have a line system, also come here if you want to be treated with no respect. Don't come here if you value your time and don't want to unnecessarily waste it. I would give this place 0 STARS if that was an option.
The hell my dad just went to this to order 3 sugar cane drink, and each is $7 all of them cost $21 for all small. What the hell they thinking it taste so bad.
