Today my sister in law back from orange county brings 2 tray of the chicken wings with 2 flavour : fish sauce and spicy garlic. She was told me that she need to queue for 45min but its so worth it, the price for 1 tray woth 25 pcs of chicken wing its $35. The chicken wing of spicy flavour super crunchy, while the chicken wing of fish sauce flavour more likely korean honey and garlic chicken wings, i love it!!

Mama Hieu’s Chicken is a must-try if you’re in the OC area. The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We tried a variety of dishes including the garlic noodles with shrimp, garlic-flavored chicken wings, fish sauce–flavored chicken wings, and sides like pickled veggies, ranch, and their famous Mama Sauce — everything was packed with flavor. The chicken was so juicy and delicious, you can really tell how much care goes into the food. It’s no surprise they were featured on Yelp’s Top 50 Chicken Restaurants. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!

Spicy garlic shrimps are really good, especially with the dip sauce. The shrimps are crispy and big. Garlic noodles are good, and it's a big portion. Limited sitting area. There is plenty of parking in the plaza.

Haven’t been here in a min! So excited to see what’s new! Parking: There’s a free parking lot with plenty of spots. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small indoor space with limited seating. Very clean inside. Yes, they have a restroom for customer use. Service: The cashier was knowledgeable about the menu. Throughput was quick & efficient after ordering. We waited under 8 min. Foods: 1. Chicken Sandos - Best fried chicken sandwich I’ve had in a while. The buns were buttery, the coleslaw was fresh, and the chicken was seasoned well. Perfect size for one person. 2. Garlic Butter Shrimp and Rice - The breading of the shrimp was crissspppyyy! Not sure what exactly the sauce was, but it made the shrimps even more flavorful. Shrimps were also pretty big, and they give you 2 large scoops of rice. 3. Original Garlic Fried Chicken Wings - THE FLAVORS! Now I know why these wings are their most popular! The chicken was fried to perfection and coated generously with the garlic sauce. Pricing: Prices definitely went up but can’t blame them. Honestly it’s worth it! Love their fried chicken!

Fam and I were looking to snack on something prior to dinner, and I had heard about mama Hieu’s and how popular it was for their flavor. Service was quick just because we ordered to go to make our life easier. Restaurant looks like a great place to hang out with friends and family to enjoy. For the price, it was super fair! We got the spicy garlic and fish sauce, AMAZING! We also had the fries as well as the garlic noodles, ALSO amazing. Even though it was meant to be a snack, it got us full and happy. Would highly recommend anyone to go to get the Vietnamese inspired flavor of wings. Let’s go!!

I don't usually eat fried chicken but this place easiest has one of the best taste I've got. The seasonal is just right and the temperature is hot enough even though I got it take out. Everything is fresh despite I came 5mns before closing. Staffs are friendly and tentative. Highly recommended.

I showed up right before the dinner rush to try out Mama Hieu’s Vietnamese Hot Chicken Sandwich, and it was worth the drive! The chicken is perfectly crunchy and well seasoned and the vegetables on top complement its spice blend perfectly! The herbs will remind you of classic, refreshing Vietnamese flavors, and they aren’t drowned out by their honey mustard sauce (which comes on the side btw). For the heat level of the sandwich, if you can handle a bag of Takis, you can eat this just fine 💕 If you order the chicken sandwich, expect to wait about 10-15 minutes for them to cook it as they make them fresh to order! Also, while the restaurant does have seating, there isn’t a lot. I would plan to do take out if you’re coming around dinnertime since the inside can become crowded with people dining inside or waiting for their orders.

I recently visited Mama's Hieu and tried their fried chicken wings with sauce( Salted egg yolk n fish sauce glazed), and I must say, they were absolutely delicious! The chicken wings were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the sauce added just the right amount of flavor to elevate the dish. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was welcoming. I highly recommend Mama's Hieu for anyone looking for mouthwatering chicken wings and great hospitality."

Mama Hieu’s started during COVID shut down and landed their first brick and mortar in Hanoi Plaza next door to Pho 2 To. We have ordered countless times for their party tray wings out of their house the past few years. They have the best Vietnamese fried chicken wings in OC! Has the perfect crisp with savory and sweet flavor. In addition to original and spicy garlic, they have now added fish sauce glazed with mild or medium spice and salted egg yolk flavor. The menu was limited during soft opening but the grand opening was on Saturday 9 March. They offer only one choice of house specialty box that comes with 9 wings, two scoops of rice, and side of pickled veggies for $15.99. I asked if I could mix flavors and they said no. Only original and spicy garlic could be half and half. We tried that in the past so we got an order of medium spice fish sauce glazed. However, they gave us the wrong order and gave us half original and half spicy garlic on accident. Fortunately, we ordered a party tray of original wings for pick up in the evening. So they threw in the correct order of fish sauce glazed at pick up. The article on the window states you could order wings a la carte at $1.40 each. I really wanted to try the salted egg yolk flavor but didn’t want an order of 9 wings in case I didn’t like it. I asked about the statement posted. She said it has to be a minimum of 5. It’s still cheaper at $1.64 with tax than other places but misleading advertisement. I would have ordered one. Overall, great customer service, quality chicken flavors and fried to perfection. All the flavors stood out on their own and it’s all based on preference. The original reminds me of Korean wings, the fish glazed is 100% is Vietnamese, the spicy garlic has a true kick and we have a high tolerance, the salted egg yolk was very faint but tasty.

My partner saw some posts about Mama Hieu's from Instagram and thought it looked so good. Took the trip from Alhambra to Westminster which I don't mind for good food which Mama Hieu's definitely did not disappoint! They are usually busy from all the reviews I've read, when I got there were a couple of guests in front of me. Took about 15min before my order was ready, which was expected. All the seats were being occupied so don't expect to be eating there. We ordered the specialty box with original garlic and fish sauce glaze (mild). The box comes with 2 scoops of rice, pickled veggies and a dip for your chicken. The rice comes sprinkled with garlic flakes, make sure you request no garlic on your rice if it isn't your thing.. my rice came out a little bit soggy but that's no big deal.. usually I'm not a fan of pickled veggies but I could not stop eating it. I even took my partners pickled veggies bcus he didn't want it. NOW, the fried chicken was delicious! The dips that came with it paired amazingly well. I was not expecting the original garlic to have a "sweet" taste. Fish sauce glaze was perfect and would definitely recommend! Even one week later I'm still thinking about how great that fried chicken was.

The hype about this place is accurate. Not only is the service amazingly friendly, but the wings.. the wings are perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and just the perfect thing to make you smile. I love the original garlic, and the special garlic lobster flavour. The truffle and parmesan fries are a lovely accompaniment. If you're in the area, and even if you're not, you've got to get these into your body!!

Nicely flavored wings. I ordered the fish sauce glazed wings, original garlic wings, and shrimp garlic noodles. The garlic wings and garlic noodles were great. The fish sauce wings are exceptional. Nice umami flavor, cripsy, good size. Haven't had any wings like them before, very addicting. Will definitely order again.

The restaraunt is nice, the food was filling. The wings combo with the white rice was just perfect. the portion is worth the money. Chicken was hot, juicy and good. My go to spot now in little saigon.

The restaurant is located in a small shopping center. The staff is friendly. They serve hot, fresh, delicious fried chicken, wings, shrimp, and garlic noodles. I recommend this business if you're in the Westminster area and looking for good chicken, etc., but come early because they get busy due to limited seating.

Sign said max capacity of 24. Plenty of parking on a Monday night. Line could get long, so try ordering ahead.

The inside seating is quite small so you may find it better to get takeout. I got the Spicy Garlic Butter House Box with their Garlic Noodles. The wings and noodles were heavenly. Perfectly crispy with that thicker Vietnamese fried chicken crust to them. Their garlic noodles were some of the best I've had. Very creamy, very garlicy, overall very good. Thier rice was actual mush. Maybe I just went at a bad time but they basically gave me a ball of mushy rice. Next time, I'd just get a box of wings and the noodles to go so I could eat my own rice at home. Great place though. Chefs back there really know how to cook.

After seeing this pace on Facebook from grubwithgreg I decided to come by. I ordered the fish sauce glazed wings, salted egg wings and loaded tots. I loved everything but was a bit disappointed in the salted egg wings. They didn't really taste like salted egg at all. Otherwise I recommend the other stud I ordered. I wish the fish glazed was spicier.

I am not a wings person but I am satisfied with this. I wished the wings would be bigger and freshly cooked. Other than that I think the shrimps is worth trying. It’s good for lunch and drinking happy hours for sure.
