Dim sum on carts with huge shumai and hargow. It helps to speak Mandarin (or Vietnamese, I think) but eventually the servers will be able to figure out your request.
Relative to other Chinese restaurants, this place is excellent. We were too late for dim sum, but the regular entrees were delicious. The seafood, fish and lobster, were not overcooked. The atmosphere is unusual. It is setup like a dance hall with seating around the dance floor. The decorations are slightly surreal and a hybrid of a wedding and funeral. Service was very attentive.
Best traditional dim sum ive tried! This place is so amazing and the service and atmosphere is everything. Last time i visited was during chinese new year and it was fun and festive as usual! I drive 2 1/2 hours just to come here! Ive slept outside their business in my car until they opened in the morning after dropping a friend off at lax at 4 in the morning because they are that good! Lol! This was the first dim sum place I ever tried and they are the reason i am now in love with it! My favorites are the siu mai, hargow, honey walnut shrimp, chicken feet, cucumber salad. They have a big variety and i love the fact that the workers come around with the little carts and everything is so fresh! Definitely check this place out! They can get really busy on the weekends but even then its still pretty quick.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. On a busy Saturday morning, dim sum was availble both inside and outside under a tent. Great weather. Food came quick. Without our even having to ask, the staff offered to bring out freshly made dim sum items. My party of 7 (all hungry men) ate ourselves full with special drinks for under $180!
Super authentic Canton vibe. Food is ok, some good some just so so. Price is fair, not pricy.
I've been coming to this place for over 10 years. It is one of the only dim sum places around where the ladies come around offering you their goods. Be ready to start ordering as soon as you sit down. The food is good and filling. Most of the employees have been here for a long time and will recognize you if you're a regular. If you need anything just raise your hand and a server will come your way right away. Good, legit dim sum spot. I've never had to wait in line to eat but the place is always busy.
Bustling dim sum restaurant on the weekends. There's usually a wait for large groups of 6 or more. There were only 4 of us so we were seated right away. I love dim sum places where they still push the carts around. The ladies were all very helpful. If we tell them what we are looking for and they don't have it in their cart, they will go hunt it down for us too. Service is quick. We were seated and immediately someone came over to ask us what tea we would like. Carts are moving up and down the aisles and everyone seems happy working there. I've been going to this place for years and it seems like their quality and food have improved since the last visit.
Sea Food Paradise is a great local spot for dim sum. The aunties are nice and remember you and what you like. I like the bồt chiên with egg because they make it to order so it’s always hot and fresh when it comes out. The rest of the dim sum is ok and does the job, although sometimes it’s not necessary the freshest tasting. They recently decorated for Lunar New Year so it’s cute inside.
We found this place by accident because of the traffic on OC freeways. Not bad dimsum, but service was a little slow. The place is busy with crowds and confusion can result with ur orders. Thankfully, the staff do pay attention no matter how belatedly. Food could be delightfully surprising from those dimsum carts!
I went for dim sum and I'm sure it's some of the best around normally, it looks classy and the people were nice and very attentive. I came alone, which is not a great idea with dim sum because you get full before being able to try very much food. What I had was really delicious, though I can't name any of it since the staff is all Asian and I had trouble understanding them. Again, more my fault than theirs... my advice, everything was delicious except the chicken feet. Those were inedible. Enjoy!
The food was nice and hot! Some dishes were okay, but the the rest of it was super yummy! I loveeeee seafood. The calamari is my absolute favorite! The crisp, crunchiness, and soft texture reminds me of French fries (in a good way!!!) Dim sum, shrimp rolls, fried rice, and hot sour soups are tasty too. I love "shrimp" in everything. Especially in noodles! :D The fish tasted okay too, but I feel like they added a bit too much ginger in it. I'm not complaining though, it is still good. :)
Update to May 13, 2025: Unfortunately, I will no longer be eating here. I ordered some dim sum to go, char so bao, this morning from a woman who was to put it mildly, snarky. I apparently walked into the middle of her adding up some receipts. I got two orders of the large buns and one order of the smaller steamed buns. Each order is three buns per order. I didn’t mind the increase in price because I’ve eaten here many times before with my family. I might as well have bought microwave food. The large buns were room temperature and dried out. There’s maybe a tablespoon of meat in these buns. I believe char siu bao means bbq pork bun. They should just rename them dried bao. The large buns are dry to the point of being stale and tasteless as well as the meat filling. In fact it tasted like soy sauce over some old pork. Very disappointing and such a waste of time and money. When you choose an establishment over all the other establishments that offer the same thing you should consider it a privilege to have customers. This woman who took my order scolded my understanding of what she said but I gave it back to her, that I just came to order food (not to trouble her or make her mad). In spite of this woman’s rudeness, I still enjoy the memories of bringing my mom here for her lobster and dim sum. No reason now for my family and I to ever come back again. Former review: This is one my family favorite places to go to for dim sum but they also have tasty Asian dishes to chose from. I have found in the past that if you can't/don't speak the language then unfortunately service might suffer for it. Once, my son and I sat at our table waiting for someone to take our order. Lots of older female servers walked by us a few times but NO ONE stopped at our table. So we made do with dim sum but it wasn't what we went there for. My recent visit was for take out for the baked and steamed char siu bao and sesame balls. I also got egg custard that I thought was too runny and another bun that my daughter liked. My mom always got the lobster and greens and my brother would order beef and some veggie dishes. We always left stuffed ☺️
My wife and I were there on Wednesday for dimsum. Two of our five dishes were spoiled. The lady pushing the cart asked if we wanted to warm up one of the two dishes. I suspect that these dishes were left over from the weekend. To my surprise, they still tried to sell the dishes that were served spoiled
