Awesome home cooking! Michele, the waitress and owner's daughter, does a great job. The cooks do wonderfull with the food and if you get a chance, order a Philly Cheese Steak omlette and add mushrooms to it.... It's the best I've ever had! That along with homefries is my go to desire almost every time.

This place may seem small on the outside; but it's bursting with flavor within! Quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing food, and don't even get me started on the great prices! If you're traveling in a group; this place can get you all fed at a more than fair rate, and have it served up so quick, that you'll be back on the road in no time!

Really enjoy coming here. Service is bar none the best. Food tastes great and fairly priced. Went back 2nd time and food was incredible again. I love this place. Today this place earned its 5th star.

Food was hot, fresh, and tasted great. We like to take our kids out on the weekends and go a couple hours from home to find something to do. While out, we always try to find a little mom and pop diner! This one did not disappoint!! Also, extra bonus points for the "I Love Lucy" sign they have hanging inside as well!! 😁😍

Great breakfast sandwich. I came in to grab an egg sandwich to go. The staff were so friendly. When they told me the sandwich came with home fries, I just had to sit down and enjoy a proper breakfast. All the coffee I could drink. A clean and welcoming diner that continues the tradition of accessible food at a and fair decent price for hard working men and women. It is establishments like these that made this country what it was and what it still could be.

Started coming here about 15 years ago, stopped in here on a cold rainy evening for supper for the first time. Since then, many times for breakfast and a few more times for supper. Servers are friendly, many locals know the servers by name, same with the servers, they know many of the locals by name. They welcome strangers like they do the locals, very friendly, food is good, comes out in a pretty quick manner. I have to stop sometime for their desserts, they look great.

A local eatery in this area for a long time. Great for the everyday Joe just dont expect "fancy" could use some updating.

Doesn't look like much, decor is pretty hideous but the food was good and the value was amazing. We got our fill of both food and small town Americana.

The food was delicious & the people were super friendly. The ceiling falling in in the center of the dining area left a little bit to be desired but I was not there to look at the ceiling. I was there for the food & it was delicious!

They were packed when we got there. The food was good the service was a little slow but then all we had a great meal.

On our way up 81, north of Binghamton NY and south of Cortland, this friendly local hangout has a basic selection for breakfast and lunch. Very reasonable prices and pleasant atmosphere, nice change from chain outlets, cash or credit OK. It's located directly opposite the Whitney Point High School. Parking all round and behind the building. Also, on your way back to the highway there are a couple of gas stations handy if you need a fill up.

Love their teddy bear Christmas tree and the food was great

I got there right after morning rush was clearing out. My waitress was a bit exhausted, and the lunch crowd was starting to come in. Waitress did a great job, and my food came out on time and was delicious. I did notice they've had a slight increase in their prices, so keep an eye out.

The Country kitchen is a nice little diner with reasonable prices. With a typical diner menu the food is satisfying. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Enjoy your rest stop on the way to Albany, NYC, or wherever.

Great food, decent prices, and for a small town diner there menu has a surprisingly nice variety to choose from with daily specials. The actual building and ambiance might lack a little, maybe some TLC in future on the wear and tear of the building both inside and out would really give this business that better rating. I would definitely visit again when in the area.

I used to come here frequently with my grandma as a child on our way back from road tripping around, I loved it. After moving to the area and revisiting this quaint little spot I noticed the bear theme they used to have going is no longer up which was sad to see as I loved that about the place. This place definitely needs some sprucing up, but that definetly doesn't hinder the tasty food and great service!

Quaint restaurant. We had breakfast. It appears that the locals patronize as it was pretty busy. Good portions, good food and a sweet server attended to our needs. I bought a slice of raspberry pie to go that was made by our server's mother.

i stopped here with my friend on a long drive because we needed a bite to eat. at first glance it looked a little run down but at the same time like your average american diner, and once we stepped inside we were quickly welcomed and encouraged to choose any seat we wanted! our waitress was a lovely young girl who was so attentive and kind, she checked in on us numerous times and was very accommodating. the restaurant was not really crowded (although it was a kind of weird time for lunch) but the walls certainly were crowded! so much decor!!! the little time we had to spend waiting for our food, we enjoyed by discovering the plethora of decorations around us, mostly about god and america 🙏 🇺🇸 not necessarily our cup of tea but interesting nonetheless 😃 the music was honestly perfect, some nice country in the background at a perfect volume. our food came very quickly especially considering there was only one waitress! the portion sizes were good, we both left very full and satiated. the food was nothing to rave about but no complaints either. i got chicken tenders and fries and my friend got a burger and fries and the mac salad. it definitely hit the spot and we encourage people to come try it out for themselves. DO REMEMBER TO BRING CASH THOUGH, as they don’t take card but did say they would accept venmo. overall, this diner does look a little run down but the food didn’t taste run down at all!!! and the service and atmosphere weren’t comprised either, was a lovely little place with a local small town very american vibe. not our typical vibe but we enjoyed. we hope to see them doing well in the future! 😊 👍

We made this a stop during our annual salmon fishing trip to Pulaski. Great food and great service. We were there mid morning and there was only one waitress but, she managed every table with ease. The blueberry pancakes were amazing, hot, fresh, and fluffy.

Very humble atmosphere. Has the looks of a true American diner. Food was perfect and the service was lovely.

The food was good and the service was wonderful however the man who I assumed to be the cook went into the bathroom, lifted and closed the lid to the toilet and went straight back to the kitchen.

Salad was iceburg lettuce and lasagna tasted like Stouffers heat and serve. Waitress was nice and attentive. Watch out for water damaged ceiling though.

It was ok. Food isn't fresh but premade and reheated. Got the hot turkey sandwich and the turkey was just deli meat, not carved, so that was disappointing. The menu doesn't offer a whole lot of variety (unless you're really into hotdogs) and the lack of all day breakfast is disappointing. It's fine...but probably better options out there.

Food is typical diner food. The French fries are good. However, I ordered the turkey Reuben. It has two slices of thinly sliced turkey and barely any sauerkraut or cheese.

Menu prices *do not* match the actual prices. Ordinarily I wouldn’t want to complain about a small business but when they overcharged us, I couldn’t help but notice it. I grabbed a menu to confirm my suspicion and I mentioned it to the waitress. She picked up a different menu and pointed to a small piece of paper that was taped to the inside that said something about how the prices might not be accurate. Prices should not be misleading. You can put up a chalkboard to easily update prices, print new menus, use a digital menu with a QR code, or at least have your servers disclaim the incorrect prices. It was only a few dollars extra but poor business ethics like this needs to be called out. Additionally, the atmosphere of the diner is poor. They literally have stair mats hung up on the wall for decoration. The service was nice enough but they got multiple orders wrong and they completely forgot to bring lunch for my friend and everyone finished eating before he finally got his food. Aside from that, the food was passable and about the quality you would expect from a place like this.

Very outdated and not very clean. Out of a lot of items. Flat soda. Server was attentive and efficient. Food was mediocre.

I am sorry to say it just was not good! There were 6 of us. One order was a medium rare Cheeseburger that was soooo well done it was actually dry and hard. Another was a turkey club but...it was cold cut smoked Turkey and the bread was hard. I had ordered a California rubin, well again a smoked turkey no sauerkraut, no Russian dressing. I asked for WELL done French Fries but that didn't happen they weren't even hot! Now I get the whole covid thing but... if you want to have a business when this craziness is done you need to do the very best you can. Make your menu smaller so that it can be handled.

Service was kind. Food was very bland. We got 3 burgers and fries and sodas. We were all asked how we wanted our burgers cooked and ordered medium, medium rare and well done. All the burgers came out well done. A little seasoning would go a long way in helping with the bland taste of the burgers. Fries were too greasy and the soft drinks were just poured out of 2 liters in tiny cups. Looking around the place is falling apart and needs some serious fixing or updating.

Its an old diner, everything needs to be updated, or at the very least scrubbed down. The drinks are VERY small. The fries are dry, as was the hamburger. The waitress was handling the whole place alone, so once you got your food you were on your own. No refills, no asking if you need anything, or if everything was alright. Typical old school type diner. Now we know why we've gone years without trying this place. You aren't missing anything special.

I was on a business trip and needed a spot for lunch. I found this restaurant online, and since it had decent reviews, I decided to give it a try. When I arrived, the parking lot was packed, so I had high expectations. The exterior looked unique, but the interior could definitely use a serious overhaul and update. It seems like a place the locals enjoy, but for me, it fell short. There was only one waitress, and unfortunately, the wait for the food wasn’t worth it. I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich with fries. While the sandwich came out hot, the fries were just warm at best, which was disappointing. The price was fair for the quality of food, but overall, it didn’t impress. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be stopping by again on my next trip.

The best thing I can say is the waitress did the best she could being the only front of the house staff person. We started off by ordering Diet Pepsi (at $3.25 each!). It was flat and lacked taste. She opened a new bottle (no fountain drinks there) which was the same. Our best guess is the bottles are badly outdated. We ended up drinking water. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak which was good. My wife ordered a Chicken parm sandwich. There was only a thin slab of chicken on one side of the sandwich. The fries looked like the frozen bags you can buy at the grocery store. We didn't have a single fry that was longer than one inch so difficult to eat. Based on this restaurant have a 4.1 rating, others have had a better experience but we won't be back.

Not a good meal. I was asked about a soda and was told it was Pepsi. Actually it was a generic cola brand with no straw given. Sandwiches were on regular bread for 7 dollars. Fries were generous but again given generic ketchup.

Very nice diner and reasonable priced was good all other times been use to enjoy the ride we stopped for lunch today and went in and we were the first ones there then a group came in and waitress completely ignored us and visit with them and too the tree orders finilly took ours then food took forever then other party left and finilly got some service very bad for your bisn8ess

I and my family will never step foot in this place again! We had the rudest, snottiest waitress I have ever had! Other customers noticed it too! Never again for me!

On my way home decided to stop here for a bite to eat. It took an HOUR to get a BBQ melt and a grilled cheese, the chips we're stale that came with the grilled cheese. On a positive note the fries were perfect.

Just left this diner.. friendly was the last thing this diner can say. The waiter was ridiculously unfriendly. Never was asked for a refill on coffee. Bathroom was gross, never got a check, went to pay and was ignored, finally paid and never even got a thanks for coming have a good day or anything. Handed back my change and we walked out.. never again..

The food was cold, the service was not the greatest, and one of our parties asked for her food to be we fixed because it was ice cold the waitress gave a little attitude! Go a little bit further down the road and have a great warm breakfast at T&T Diner in Pendalls Plaza after the Amish store on Route 11.

The food was okay, the service was not good. The waiter was miserable and the bathroom was stinky and disgusting. Never even got offered a single refill on coffee. We also were forced to wait at the register to pay our bill while the waiter rudely decided to take an order from an acquaintance who came after we had been waiting. I would never return.

The worse haddock I have ever had. Outside burnt, inside watery, I tell the waitress and she said I'm sorry. Not like it use to be years ago. Waste of $40

I came in with a friend and we planned on spending a decent amount on apps, lunch, and dessert. We were forgotten about once we sat and not given a menu for a bit, but no big deal we both understood the waitress was slightly busy. We eventually place our apps and lunch orders and then more people come inside. We are sitting waiting for over 45 mins we never got our apps or even asked for a refill on our drinks. No apology Nothing. Then we see three separate tables that came in after us receive their food before we ever even got our apps. So we asked for the check(for only the drinks we got and never even got the refills) and we left. I was super disappointed because I’ve never been to this diner before even though I’ve lived in wp awhile and I was excited to try it, but definitely won’t be going back.

I was passing through and this place was listed in the Google search for diners. It looked vacant. I saw a sign that said cash only, so that was it for me. I attempted to look through a window, and it looked closed down.

Popped in to this diner on Sunday July 7 2024. All tables in the diner were not cleaned off. Bus lady was “having a bad day!” Dirty and disgusting environment. I ordered a ham/Swiss omelet and corned beef hash. Hash was canned and omelet tasted like fish. I barely ate a quarter of the nasty omelette. Following that breakfast, i have been very sick. Thanks a ton for ruining the rest of my vacation!

Went in for dinner on a Sunday at about 530. They did not have spaghetti to make chicken Parm, they did not have the hot roast beef, no hot turkey, or the steak!!!! How can a restaurant be out of so many items on their own menu!!!!!!! So with all the items missing that we wanted for dinner we decided to leave they still charged us for the for sodas that we did not get to finish at $3.25 a piece!!!

Don't eat here, it's gross, we took ours to go so they would t see us throw it away and paid WAY too much for "chicken" tenders. Response: This was not a personal attack, just an honest review. I took pictures of the chicken tenders we received, they are NOT homemade because they are the consistency of a sponge. I wouldn't complain because you have the right to serve whatever chicken you want but IMHO I would never choose this place a second time because even McDonald's has tenders made with actual chicken not the processed sponge ones. I think that our $31 bill was high for two plates of that considering the place down the street has actual breaded meat and it costs us over $10 less for two people. Combine that with the fact that our drinks had no ice in them, and both my husband and I had silverware that couldn't just be polished off with a napkin. It was a big disappointment. So no, I guess you can't please anyone
