I showed up right before closing on a Saturday, after a long day of traveling. All the staff were so welcoming and kind. Everyone had a fantastic attitude. McKayla took my order and didn’t rush me. I ordered 3 meals and my order was ready within 20 minutes. The food was hot and tasty. Chris helped me carry my drinks to my car and even got me extra jelly. The gift shop was lovely and well stocked. I highly recommend this location.

We eat at a lot of Cracker Barrel’s. This one needs to share with the others how they are able to get the food out so piping hot. A lot of times at Cracker Barrel’s, the food is Luke warm. But not this one. Piping Hot and Delicious! Our server was friendly and efficient as was the cashier. We also got to preview the S’mores Brownie skillet for free because we are Cracker Barrel Reward members. It goes on the menu tomorrow. We recommend it.

Yum! I ordered the Impossible sausage since they don't have turkey sausage anymore. I was surprised that the patties were so good. I can't have so much grease anymore, and Impossible sausage satisfied my pallet.

Update as per DEC 2024: Dined here three times in DEC. Still real good food - excellent service - and a recent new menu. Update We dine here often. They food is really good/tasty - and a nice variety on the menu cards. The service is always in top. So the only thing to point out that is subtracting from the overall experience is the dust on different things in the restaurant and dead bugs in the window sill next to where you dine. Definitely still a place to visit and return to. Older reviews: This is a nice Cracker Barrel establishment. The staff is so nice and always polite and attentive. The food choices are good and served fairly quickly after you order the food. If you want to try out a CB place - this should be it. Never a disappointment.

The only reason I gave 4 stars cause there is always room for improvement. That goes for any where. The employees are always so welcoming. There food is always so delicious and the atmosphere feels like home. They are one of the best restaurants in Wichita Falls, TX.

We ordered the Thanksgiving Dinner for 8-10 people to be picked up the day before Thanksgiving. All we had to do was heat everything up a few hours before we were ready to serve. No prep work to worry about. It was great! I highly recommend this option if you are tired of all the prep work and want a faster option that still taste delicious!

This is your standard cracker barrel experience. Impossible to get higher than 3 stars, but more often than not, not so terrible to get anything less. My waitress was not really attentive, and didn't check on us enough (only a party of 2. I noticed she paid a lot more attention and was more friendly to her other table with at least 4 people). The food took about 35 minutes to arrive after we ordered. The prices, as always, were astronomical. 2 eggs, small piece of bacon, small disc of sausage, and small piece of ham = $10. I asked for a side of pancakes - was told it would be "regular price of $4+ ". For two pancakes.. You pay what would cost for a whole box of pancake mix. And then have some leftover. This is of course not including the "worse than military" coffee, for $3.50. Honestly, it would have been better from the DQ down the street. Total of about $15 a person, for food that felt like we were just taking small, sampling bites. Shrink-flation type of thing. Will not be coming back.

Kitchen was backed up..on a Saturday. I would say it was only moderately busy and since Saturday is probably one of the busier days I think they should be more prepared. Also, I got the bacon and egg hashbrown casserole, I asked for no onions. Instead I got all the onions and no bacon. Couldn’t send it back for fear it would take too long to get another. Lots of room for improvement here.

What can I say about my experience with the cracker barrel? Well, the first thing is as always the atmosphere is pretty interesting. It always feels like you're eating at a theme park establishment when you're eating at a cracker barrel and this one is no different. They even had the fire lit smelt like smoke. Anyhow, I would say the service was a little weird. We at the table really couldn't figure out if we liked the guy or if we didn't like the guy. He kept giving us like underhanded compliments and was trying to be funny but he wasn't really funny but he was clear he was trying to. You know connect with us but we just weren't the Right audience for his jokes or something I would assume it was. It was a little weird. I'll say that much and two on the food side of things food's not that great at the cracker barrel. Not going to lie and I ordered the chicken and it was a little pink. Still I was not a big fan. In fact it was a little pink. Still I didn't ask him to fix it or anything. I just ate it cuz I've been told before by other people that they've also had pink chicken and that it was just kind of a common issue. So I just kind of went for it I guess but the sides were good. I had okra and some of the other stuff and it was interesting but definitely I would just recommend if you're going to go here just get breakfast. That's the only thing that's good. Maybe try their hamburger. I don't know that's what I wanted to get but everybody else at the table got breakfast so I thought I might as well get something that's more cracker barrely but yeah 80 how it's always busy. I don't really recommend you go to it though it doesn't. It wasn't very good gift. Shop was fun though. We wasted about an hour in there but I'm not writing this as a store. I'm renting it as a as a restaurant and everything other than the theming was kind of butt water

Service and atmosphere were great, but the food was just kind of eh. The French toast was fantastic! Steak bites tasted like they were microwaved. Has browns were burnt. Might try again just to see if I picked the wrong food items.

The Truth

Cracker Barrel has lost it! They used to be amazing. The second one I've been to recently with the same experience. French toast is pathetic. The butter was almost bigger than the bread. The sausage looked and tasted like it just came out of the microwave. The pancake well, just look at it. The service wasn't great either... extremely disappointed in the company.

However, I did find a little restaurant off Iowa Park Road right near there called P3 Pioneer three and it was delicious..

Good food and service. Our issue happened after. I purchased a Snoopy Thanksgiving salt and pepper shaker. I know always get a receipt, but when I got home to add it to my collection; no Snoopy only his hat. Took it right back and was told they would have to turn the incident into a manager. But they also said that there had been a Snoopy by the register and now it was gone. They had been looking for the hat. Now I wait for the response from the manager. It would have been easy to call the on duty manager and exchange it.

Si, I loved going to Cracker Barrel back in the day. I miss the oatmeal pancakes like crazy. But what I miss the most is being offered a basket of biscuits as we sit down. I have asked several times for one and being told they don’t do that anymore unless you buy orders with biscuits included. However at other times I have been brought them(depending on server I guess) without even mentioning biscuits. Other times I have been told that they don’t bring them in unless the client asks. Well, at this location a couple of months ago(I’m still sore about this), my kids and I went for a special treat. We were not offered biscuits and were denied them when asked. However the next table that had a different server, waiting on two cute guys brought them a basket of biscuits without asking. Not only that, when they scarfed them down she brought them another basket that they were too full to touch. So Cracker Barrel, make up your mind about the darn biscuits! I say offer them again, main reason I like Cracker Barrel is the biscuits.

We often go here, but haven't been back since the logo debacle. I didn't really care about that one way or the other, because the food is always good. We went there last week and the menu is miniscule; one page, front and back. They no longer offer a chicken fried steak breakfast, which for a southern style restaurant is a requirement. We had to ask for the biscuits and cornbread basket, which is apparently the way you need to don't from now on. Unless we hear that there has been a major menu upgrade, we wont be going back.
