Have been coming here for 25 years, pizza is good and the food is even better. My family moved out of the area and every year I bring them positano seafood salad to enjoy on Christmas, it's the best one around!
For 30 years, I've been coming to Positano's, and the reason is simple: their linguine pescatore. It's an incredible dish that has never once disappointed. The consistency, freshness, and flavor are what keep me coming back. It's the best around.
Positano Ristorante & Pizzeria tucked away in Williston Park has been there since 1996. What a gem. Upon entrance you think you are walking into your neighborhood pizzeria. Then you look straight back and you are transformed into Positano Italy. Upon being seated you are offered a beverage and a basket full of homemade focaccia and rolls. The menu is extensive with so many choices of fresh Italian dishes. The appetizers are amazing. they are all cooked fresh to order. I ordered and had a fruity cosmopolitan made special for me. It was just delicious and refreshing. The calamari came out fresh hot and tender. Served with a spicy marinara sauce, this hands down was the finest calamari I have had. in a very long time. It was so tender that you knew it was freshly made. The mozzarella sticks had such a cheese pull that we laughed at how long it was. The potato croquettes were pillowy light and fluffy. The rice balls were tender and flavorful. The tricolor salad was a showstopper with arugula, tomato, red onion, cucumber, orange segments and mozzarella balls, tossed in a fantastic balsamic dressing was amazing. The choices of pasta dishes were many. I had the Fettuccine Carbonara in a creme sauce, loaded with onion bacon. It was luscious. the Farfalle Boscaiolla with chicken, peas, mushrooms and onions in a creamy pink sauce was just divine. The Chicken Sorrentino was layered with eggplant, prosciutto and mozzarella in a light wine sauce was fabulous. The Chicken Verde was stuffed with fresh broccoli, prosciutto and cheese was glorious. The showstopper of the meal was the dessert platter. Tire Mi Su, Cannoli, American and Italian Cheesecake was over the top. Flavorful, rich and luxurious, I could go back just for the desserts. Positano Ristorante & Pizzeria is in a shopping center in Williston Park, NY. When you enter, you are introduced to the pizzeria. Then as you look up and see the restaurant, it is just lovely. With beautiful warm tones of brown and beiges, it is charming. You feel as if you were sitting in a villa in Italy. The lighting is is lovely and the music is easy listening. The service was outstanding. Every staff member was friendly and many have been there from opening day. We were fortunate to meet the owners. They are the loveliest of people. The pride they have in the food that they offer is very apparent. I must say they are so accommodating and accomplished in this industry. I had the opportunity to learn the background of some of their special dishes. Positano Ristorante & Pizzeria is a fabulous Italian restaurant. The food is fresh and made to order. I always rate an Italian restaurant by its sauce. Their sauce was definitely delicious. There is a full service bar and many different varieties of wine and beer. The pizzeria is fantastic with many different of toppings. This restaurant is a gem that you must try. You definitely will be so happy that you did.
Carlo is the best!! Food and service is amazing. 10/10. Highly recommend.
Walking into Positano is like walking into Nonna's home. It's not just a pizza place, but something very special.....you are in Nonna's kitchen. There is a very comfortable feeling when you sit down that you are about to embark on a very special culinary journey! Our hosts Jorge and Nancy couldn't have been nicer! Plus our waiter Carlo was fantastic! He was the perfect personality for our table. He understood exactly what we were looking for and delivered a delicious culinary journey. I don't even know where to begin. The salad was not your typical salad. Plus the addition of Orange brought it to a whole new level. The Squinguili, Calamari,Shrimp, Baked Clams were off the charts! The Veal Parmasean was excellent! As was the pasta with Chicken and Mushrooms! The Baccarat was sweet and balanced. The desserts were absolutely perfect! This will be my go to place for Italian food going forward. I can't wait to go back. UPDATE We have been coming back again over and over since our first experience at this outstanding dining experience. I love The Parkside...however Positano can definitely go punch for punch with that restaurant. We love both and will continue to enjoy both! ❤️ In any event the food tonight was exceptional. The appetizers consisting of baked clams, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed shrimp, stuffed artichokes and eggplant rollintini were very good. The bread basket is tasty as well. Once again the Veal Parmasean dinner was excellent. If you enjoy desserts, ours were off the charts delicious. I have to say that the Canolli and Tiramisu were the best that I ever tasted. They are made on the premises. Both were creamy, well balanced, full of great flavors and came with a wonderful homemade cream. Truly heaven on a plate. The presentation was also terrific! This is a very special place. Once again, the staff was great. Our server Jeanine was wonderful and Carlo was just fantastic as he has been every time we visit! The owner Jorge made his rounds with a continuous smile. He came over to our table several times to ensure that we were satisfied. You can tell the pride and love he has for his restaurant. It is definitely felt by his customers and there was a full house tonight. We left happy and tremendously satisfied. We will be back again sooner than later!

Great authentic Italian food. Freshly made. Seafood special was very yummy.

Fantastic restaurant! We had a group luncheon today and the food was delicious, plentiful, and the service was great! The manager threw in a couple of extras, which was greatly appreciated by all. I highly recommend this restaurant. Eileen Watts
I’ve been going here for years and always had a good experience. Carlo and Santo are the new owners. They are both a caring team and the food is fantastic. Positano is a great place to have a cozy family diner, date night or a party. Reasonable prices.
I was very impressed by the whole experience. Especially the new renovations and the proud new owners expressing their interest in wondering how I like the meal with the newly developed sauce. I highly recommend this place
Don’t mistake Positano’s for being just a neighborhood pizzeria. The food and service in the sit down restaurant in the back is incredible, and has only only gotten better since Carlo took control. Since I grew up eating authentic Italian food (and I learned to cook from them as well), I almost never enjoy eating Italian food out except for here. This is also our go-to for family party catering.
Positano is always a favorite; now, more so than ever. Under new management (Carlo and team), the restaurant shines with wonderful and hospitable service and fresh and delicious food. The chicken parm was outstanding and the linguini and clams (Manila) is terrific. Warm fresh bread and a Caesar salad started the meal…I love a well done Caesar and this one was perfect! No one can resist the gratis macerated strawberries with beignets. If you’ve never been, go. And, if you haven’t gone in awhile, go soon. In either case, you’ll be so happy you did!! P.S. They play great Italian music too 🎶
If you want great Italian food, this place is for you! Dishes such as: Penne alla vodka, veal Marsala, salmon with white wine are just a few that are amazing!
Went got dinner last night. Could not ask for friendlier staff and the owners were amazing! I believe it is sine of the best Italian food I have ever had. Prices are reasonable and the quantity of food are amazing! I highly recommend the restaurant Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
I have been coming here for well over 20 years, be it for sit down dinners with family and friends or to grab some take out, this restaurant never disappoints. Carlo, the new owner has truly brought new life into a wonderful restaurant. The food is consistently delicious, the recent renovations are great and you can tell that they truly work hard to provide a great experience to all their patrons. Will gladly be coming back
Delicious New Year’s Eve dinner. It was very busy but the service was attentive. Portion of fried calamari was amazing and yummy. Definitely worth another visit. We love their pizza to go as well

I've been comeming here since Tony opened the place, but when he retired and sold the business ( about 3 years ago) it slowly slipped down. As of two weeks ago there are new owners ( former employes of the original owner}. they're redoing the dining area and the food is back to original Positano. Excellent!
Stopped in on our way back to Delaware. Still as good as we remember from five years ago. A heavy crust that is cooked well. Very filling and delicious. Half meatball ,half eggplant. Awesome.
I have mixed reviews for this place. I went Saturday with my scorching hot date, and even though we had 7:30 reservations, we were not seated until 8:10. That’s fine it’s busy, I get it. But while reading a menu and standing on line, a “regular customer l” came by and snatched it out of my hands ‘in good fun’ he seemed inebriated though he hadn’t been seated yet either. He was always rude to the wait staff. Unacceptable. The atmosphere was nice, place is a touch too small, but the food was good, only complaint is that my penne and broccoli with garlic and oil was drowning in oil. Bread was good, and that’s major brownie points for me. Would definitely give them another chance, but I be wary!
Well located pizzeria with pleasant staff. The slices are very large, extremely cheesy and well seasoned.

Decent neighborhood pizzeria restaurant. Good sauce to cheese ratio on their Sicilian with bite on the crust. I work in the area and from time to time will grab a slice or two. This review solely based on takeout pizza however I’m sure their dine in and menu is deserving of more stars based on many other reviews on google.

(Thursday, 10/30/2025) I ordered a pasta and fried calamari for lunch. Since I placed the order at 1:30 pm, I reasonably assumed it would be charged at the lunch price. However, they charged me the regular price, so I filed a complaint. They explained that for lunch orders, I have to specifically say it’s for lunch when placing the order. Does it make sense? Is there anyone agree with it? What upset me even more was what happened next. I said, “This is my first time ordering from this place, but after this kind of response, I don’t feel like coming back.” And their reply was really really unbelievable — they said, “Then don’t come back.”
Been going to this place for 10+ years. Ordered an eggplant parmigiana hero tonight. It was disgustingly. Soggy as hell. Bread was day old mush. Hardly any melted cheese. I would be embarrassed serving that to anyone. Does anyone take pride in what they do any longer? Never go back.
