Food was great. Appetizers came at the same time as entrée, however. Cool casual atmosphere, not too loud to drown out conversations. Closes too early for a Friday night.

The food is amazing! My husband and I ordered the pork bao, two different kinds of ramen, and the octopus little appetizer. Everything was delicious. 100% recommended.

Honestly so amazing! First time ordering and we got two small sushi trays and mango tango veggie roll. We ordered off their site for a scheduled delivery and it came right on time and very much fresh! Everyone loved it and we will definitely order from here again!

Had a wonderful dinner, everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Tried the bow buns, sushi, and ramen. The ramen was my favorite. Curry ramen was very flavorful, had a few options to choose from.... Definitely coming back to try the rest of them. Gets busy on weekends. Recommend to make reservations

Great choice for a nice warming ramen on a chilly fall night. My friend had the Tantan and I had the Torino ramen, both were fantastic. The Tantan is a little spicy and my friend said this was the best ramen he had ever had. The broth was great and my friend loved the pork in the Tantan. I’m not in love with the decor but the service was attentive and friendly. They had non alcoholic drinks on the menu but not a nonalcoholic beer - it would be nice to have that option in the future. I’ll be back to try the bao!!

Before finding this restaurant I tried a ramen place in Vernon hills and the ramen smelled so rancid I was hesitant as to whether I should give it another chance. Upon recommendation from my brother's coworker, I stopped in here. This is one restaurant I can honestly say was worth the trip. This is only one of the few places that can leave me speechless. From the good service to the amazing Top quality ramen they have here is so divine that I almost wanted another bowl. The Ramen and takoyaki is amazing. I highly encourage a trip to this place whether it is takeout or dine in once Covid settles down.

We've been coming here or taking out since the beginning. No idea why I hadn't reviewed before. The ramen is very good. I personally like the creative ones like the yuzu citrus broth ramen, but the traditional is great as well. The cucumber salad hits the spot. The bao buns are delicious and I like that they are priced per unit so we can decide what we want. The sushi is solid, though I don't thik I would go there just to get sushi. Good cocktail program, fast service, and of course, the vibe is nice too. Authentically Japanese, tonight we were reminded of our visit to "Ramen street" in the Tokyo metro station a year ago.

This is a review of the Torino Omakase special dinner. I’ve been to Tokyo many times and this is a Tokyo style high-end quality experience. Certainly tops in authentic Japanese cuisine in Chicago imo. Esteemed Japanese chef Hayashi choreographs an exquisite artistic experience. The service was buttery smooth and timely.

One of my favorite places to come for ramen in the suburbs. I love the vegetarian ramen with fried tofu. The potato croquettes are a must and the shrimp boa is delicious 😋

It was second time here. This time I had Sammy ramen, first time I had Torino ramen both are amazing 10 out of 20. My husband ordered new winter ginger ramen which is spicy and probably not everyone would like this kind of ramen. He said it was ok for him but apparently he liked strong ginger taste. I couldn’t eat it. Anyway this place deserves 5 stars and the service is great as well.

This is my favorite Ramen place on the North Shore. I always crave this place in the cooler months or if I’m under the weather. They let you customize Ramen! If you visit in the summer, they have outdoor seating. At times they are very busy and takeout can take over an hour, but it is well worth it. Staff has always been attentive and friendly.

Trendy restaurant serving Ramen noodles. Came here on a weekday for lunch. The place was busy and I had to wait 15 minutes for a table. The servers were pleasant. I had the Toronto Ramen. Very good. Definitely worth the wait time.

Very authentic ramen shop and Japanese owned. It's the best in the north east burbs. The Sammy is the mild tonkotsu (pork bone broth). It's very good but I wish it was a full tonkotsu broth and not mixed with a chicken broth. The fried chicken (karaage) was also very good. Overall, Torino is a great ramen shop. The space is small but comfortable and the staff was friendly. It gets busy really quick so get there early or be prepared for a wait.

Such a cute ramen spot in Downtown Wilmette that also serves sushi, baos, and other Asian delicacies. Small trinkets and convenient needs such as facemasks, lotion, hand sanitizer, etc, also on display for sale in the front. Service was fast. I got one of their seasonal Ramen - Spicy Cilantro - and it was definitey unique and tasty. Also pictured is the Mi So Hot which my Mom got. She loved it and it was definitely spicy! Would not consider the noodles traditional, but definitely worth trying, and portions are just right. Will try the sushi-side and specialty rice next visit.

BEST RAMEN EVER!!! Torino has become a tradition for me and my friends! their broth is so perfectly flavored, the noodles are divine, the egg is DELICIOUS, the meat is always perfect, there is no such thing as stingy toppings at Torino. whenever we eat here, the table is silent as we devour the amazing ramen dishes. not to mention, the staff is always super kind. the service is very attentive! my personal favorite is the Tantan! so perfectly savory and hits the spot. LOVE THE BOK CHOY! never go out of business, we love you :)

It was very busy when I was there. Because it was crowded it was on the louder side. So not somewhere to go for a quiet conversation. Waitress was friendly. I had the Yuzu lover ramen and it was one of the most flavorful bowls of ramen I have ever had.

吴锐恒(Ruiheng Edbalt Wu)

Really nice and novel Raman restaurant. The Yuzu Raman is super good, especially in summar.

The servings are just right for one person we didnt have any take out and I finished their teriyaki karaage donburi so fast cos it was soooo good the flavor wasnt too sweet and the chicken meat was soft and flavorful! We had a super nice and friendly server as well (Asia) and the cocktails during happy hour are delicious

Great ramen for sure, but also really authentic octopus puffs and delicious Bao.

ああああ! 素敵な! This place was wonderful! #TangerineMountain and the #ChicagoWafuClub teamed up for a tasty Ramen + Sake event here to celebrate the new year, and it was fabulous! The food and sake pairings were so tasty, and the service was fantastic. We here at Tangerine Mountain would recommend Torino Ramen to anyone looking for exquisitely authentic and delicious Japanese food and spirits.

Torino Ramen is an amazing choice for quality ramen in The North Shore. All of the ingredients are quality, the staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the service is prompt! I got the Kitano Ramen, and I’d highly recommend it! Both indoor and outdoor seating is available!

This place is a gem, I ordered the Torino Ramen and it was a very well balance bowl of ramen. Broth was deep and flavorful, I'm sure this took a very long time simmering. Noodle thickness and firmness was good, the Chashu Pork Belly was a very generous thick cut seared on both sides which melted in your mouth like butter. I wish this place offered Gyoza and Chahan fried rice like the shops in Japan since their Pork game is clearly very strong. Will be back again soon.

Delicious. Best Japanese in Chicagoland. Coming back. I'm willing to drive from Naperville to enjoy.

The best ramen I have had in awhile. The bao buns were delicious. I got the Kitano ramen and the mixture of chicken and miso broth was perfect. Would definitely recommend this place for a quick lunch/dinner.

Okay this picture doesn’t do this place justice since I ate most of it already but let me tell you— THIS IS MY FAVORITE TAKEOUT ORDER EVER. The meat is so perfect, it’s the best meat I’ve probably ever had. I had the Torino Ramen and the Pork Chashu Don. I want everyone to have this. I’m not even kidding. I was just expecting to order some ramen and I got the best meal ever.

More than helpful, i waited in line for a long time. They were very apologetic and got me my food and a gift card. Phenomenal ramen. Wouldve waited even longer. Kitano ramen is always good. But their bao and fried chicken combo is delish too!

Amazing place, great, delicious food, kind servers and excellent service. Walls however are nasty and need cleaning especially the table to the wall next to the counter.

Can only speak from my Take-Out experience but everything is always hot and delicious. I love their lunch boxes with 2 buns. Seriously so delicious, highly recommend.

I love finding amazing ramen places outside of downtown Chicago, and Torino was surprisingly amazing. Noodles were the perfect thickness and chewiness! I ordered a chilled ramen and it was sooo good.

Amazing restaurant! I recently ate at Torino in Wilmette and the food was amazing. Flavorful and authentic Japanese cuisine at a very affordable price, and the staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely will come back soon!

I’m surprised there’s a decent ramen place in downtown Wilmette, the quality isn’t bad. The soup stock is a little salty compared to the ones we liked in Japan, after all this restaurant is catered to Americans with much salty taste and not a fan of subtle taste like Asians. The prices are reasonable but wish they charge extra $2 dollars and give us little more noodles. Will return again. On a Friday lunch the place has plenty of seats, don’t need a reservation.

I had a pork bao bun and the Sammy ramen with sweet corn. I do think that the bao bun was missing something like shredded carrots. It needed something more. The ramen was absolutely delicious. I ate my entire bowl. It was that good. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner. I will say that inside, there were a lot of flies. Having worked in the industry, it's really important to have that under control especially if there is raw fish around. I also don't think that management was present in the front of the house. There were employees on their phones and eating in front of customers. I do think that was also distracting. That's why I gave a 4 instead of a 5. But I will definitely be coming back for more ramen.

This was my first time at Torino but it didn’t disappoint . We were able to enjoy a gorgeous warm Friday night sitting outside, started with few starters : takoyaki, pork & shrimp bao, and curry ramen. Topped off with the best Japanese whiskey flight (my fav part), & separate bottle of clean sake. Our server, Kyle, was attentive, friendly and great throughout our meal. Everything was delicious and really hit the spot. I can’t wait to go back and try out some of other sushi rolls and ramen. Also, big shout out for putting Japanese whiskey flight! That was absolute heaven tasting out some of my fav Yamazaki, Hibiki for decent price.

My first time here, so I ordered their "signature" chicken ramen, substituting the egg with sweet corn. The chashu was outstanding, and the taste overall was very good. The noodles tasted good, but the bowl was a little smaller with fewer noodles than I expected. The broth is excellent, a little on the salty side, as it should be, but there were no table ingredients to add or customize. We sat outside, so maybe next time I'll sit indoors and see what else is on offer.

Great options for vegetarians/Vegans. We tried the veggie Miso and Seasonal spicy chicken cilantro. Both were good. Friendly staff. I liked the idea od substituting Cabbage or kale noodles instead of the regular noodles.

My frustration with lack of authentic ramen north of Chicago is finally over. Torino Ramen has been on my list for a while and one visit was enough to convince that I shall revisit it soon. For my first visit, I tried their Torino Ramen, one of the many ramens that featured their famous signature chicken broth. For those who don't know, Tori means chicken. What I really liked about their ramen is the broth, which was light but very flavorful, and their noodles. The yellow wavy noodles were very chewy and tasted really fresh. The perfect balance of the two saw me down completely the ramen and every bit of the soup. This dish would have been entirely perfect but I felt that the ramen egg was quite overcooked and the pork belly undercooked (the fatty portion of it should be cooked through more!). Another suggestion is that I was not a huge fan of the fried oyster. The flavor profile was strange and frankly tasted very bland. Nevertheless, the ramen shop has plenty of good food to try and can't wait until the next time!

Good ramen, but definitely nothing special. The fried octopus appetizer was great. I’m not sure what I expected from the panko potato croquette, but it’s deep fried mashed potatoes. Overall ok, but the ramen definitely lacked strength. It had little pork, and I did not taste much garlic even though it had garlic oil.

Torino is a nice little ramen place in downtown Evanston. The restaurant looks onto the main street and they have an outdoor patio area for warmer months. The service was fast and very pleasant, being attentive but not to overbearing. The food was good. Their ramen is a bit non-traditional. They didn't have some of the more classic ramen flavors like tonkotsu (pork broth) or shio (salt) or shoyu (soy sauce) etc etc. Instead, they seem to favor a chicken based broth. The menu seems to appeal to a sort of pop-culture view of Japanese cuisine and culture rather than a more traditional route like I would have preferred. I also got their takoyaki, which is fried balls with octopus meat, which was very good. Overall, it wasn't the best ramen I've had, but it was an enjoyable meal. I don't think I'd go out of my way for it, though. If you're in the area and want some soup in a cozy setting, this is a good option.

Solid spot. Service was good, karage was tasty, ramen was not bad, pork bun was solid. Overall pretty good.

L
Lauren Swenson

Fantastic food. And it has been each time I’ve gone. Service wasn’t as attentive, but it was pretty busy both inside and out, so understandable. Prices are a tad bit high, but it’s also the area, as such not unexpected.

J
Jason Knauff

Solid ramen and sushi spot. Cocktails were fine but nothing special. Would visit again.

Not much of a wait before noon. I had the chilled ramen salad, which was delicious, but I wasn't thrilled with the tofu because it was silky. I prefer traditional firm tofu, which seems hard to find in restaurants. I was warned that the portions are smallish, so that wasn't a surprise.

Great little ramens place in Wilmette. Portions are just right and the cost is good.

C
Christine Kim-Tai Plautz

The ginger ramen was delicious and so fragrant! The chicken was super tender. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I didn't try them, but there were a decent number of vegetarian and vegan options. My husband had the gluten free tofu shirataki noodles. His broth was excellent, but he said the noodles weren't very good and were the completely wrong texture for ramen.

2.75 - I would revisit for the atmosphere. Meal and service is above acceptable. Investment / portions / flavor engineering , I feel was a little under par (investment of $25 overall) I ordered a spicy dish, the noodles and protein outweighed its flavors. but that was due to me ordering extra noodles and protein. it was not until I finished eatting the noddles, when the broth flavors became vibrant. next time I would hold off on the extra noodles & protein. The Bun / appetizer felt surprisingly fulfilling for its appearance. It taste good yet lack a "sweet pop kick" for being Teriyaki mixed this is just my opinion and if you're in the area. no harm to check it out yourself. thanks for reading! :) -- Appetizer: Chicken chashu bao bun Main Dish: Tantan w/ extra Nikumiso &  extral noodles

There has been a huge drop in the quality of the food. Both portion sizes and food quality have gone down drastically in the past year. For ~$40 per person with appetizers and drinks it’s absolutely not worth the price. A shame since this used to be one of my favorite places in Wilmette.

T
Tiffany

My friend and I ordered two orders of shrimp bao buns, and we also each got an order of curry karaage don. It was disappointing to get shrimp nuggets that tasted like a store-bought frozen product out of an air fryer. Sriracha aioli was drizzled into the bun, but not enough, and they were stingy about the amount of pickle slices. The curry karaage don dish did not come out as described on the menu. The rice tasted good, but the proportions were off. Too much rice and four small pieces of dry, fried chicken was quite disappointing. I might come back to try their ramen, but I probably won't. If you want an authentic meal, this is not the place to go.

We had a 5:30 reservation and arrived and were seated outside as requested at 5:25. Server immediately came and we ordered a couple drinks and an appitizer. They were served within 3 minutes! Clearly the app had been sitting around. We said we were not in a rush but placed our dinner order. It was delivered to our table within 5-6 minutes and before we'd finished 1/2 our appitizer. We actually laughed at how absurd this was. It should be noted that of the 5-6 tables outside only ours and one other were occupied. By 5:45 the server gave us our bill and said "no rush," which was hysterical. We took our time eating our dinner and left at 5:55. This was the 8th or 9th time we've been to Torino but will never, ever go back. Mistakes can be made but this was the rudest, most unprofessional service I've ever experienced. Plenty of other options.

Daniel Fogel

I so wanted this place to be fantastic, but it is really disappointing. They quoted a 45 minute wait for a table. No objection, it's a hot new restaurant and got a table in 15 minutes. Strike 1: they seated us by a constantly opening door on a freezing night. It was so cold. When we asked to be moved to an open table, they first said it would confuse the kitchen. Then, they moved us, to an equally cold spot. Strike 2: I'm jumping ahead, but they brought our appetizers 10 minutes after our main dish and said nothing. No apology, no comment. Strike 3: even though the restaurant had started to empty, it took 30 minutes to bring our ramen. The food was good, but not good enough to overcome the wait. The people sitting next to us told us they had been waiting a full hour for the food. I will not return.

S
S

Wait staff was horrible. Our waiter passed our table without acknowledging us about 20 times before we had to ask another lady to call a waiter to our table. We were waiting 15 min at our table before even getting a hello. When our waiter finally arrived he didn’t even greet us, didn’t ask if we wanted to order drinks, didn’t say anything about the wait, and just asked if we needed more time as if the already long wait wasn’t enough. We ordered our food and i asked for a straw which was never brought and i had to wait until our food came to ask him again for it and then wait again for him to bring it. We got no water refills, I had to keep stopping other workers to ask for water because we were sitting with empty cups and our waiter was no where to be found. To top it all off, once we paid, i asked for a to go bag which was also never brought to me and I had to wait outside at the table until he showed up again to ask again for a bag. I just kept having to ask for things over and over again and wait for him to hopefully remember to bring them. One of the other waiters was more helpful so we wish we could’ve given him a tip instead because it seemed like he was the one that was actually waiting on us. The food was good but the service was not good at all so I don’t think we’ll be returning.
