I cannot say enough, good things about our wedding reception experience at Chills. We reserved a spot down on the creek for about 40 people and it was perfect. We had our wedding reception here buffet style and everything was amazing. The weight staff we had was attentive and supportive throughout the entire evening. The managers were communicative and helpful during the entire process. Now for the food: I was born and raised in Southwest Louisiana and the Boudin balls here are legit. As a transplant in Texan, the barbecue is also legit and the sides are spot on. Whether you’re coming here for a regular dinner or a big gathering, Chills is the spot. They recently put in a tree weave so the kids are kept occupied. Their space on the creek is I think the most beautiful location in Wimberley for eating outside.

Didn't expect it! But you MUST go and enjoy the view! The food and service were perfect, and friendly. You can bring your pet, but only allow the outside seat and they provide the water for the dog! They also do live music and the lists are on the windows. There are not have their own parking lot so you need to park your car at the shopping area just across.

Overall a nice experience. Visited on a weekday for lunch. Party of two with about 2/3 of the tables (not to include the tables down by the creek) taken. Inside and outside seating available. Staff very friendly. 11 minutes from the time we ordered to the time our food was delivered. Very relaxing to sit outside in the shade. Sandwich and shrimp were nice. Fries were liked by one of our party, but thought to be average and a bit under-cooked by the other. Prices are reasonable. Certainly worth coming back to.

We love this spot! The trees provide so much shade and it is a beautiful view with the river. It’s right in the middle of the square too. Highly recommend.

The indoor atmosphere in the resturaunt was sort of bland, but they made up for it with their outdoor seating area! The bar bothered me because there was only 4 chairs at it, which to me is a joke, just remove the chairs and make it a walk up and order or something. The food I got was fair. Seemed like it needed a face-lift and some excitement added to it, fries were great! My girlfriend had the cheese steak tacos, and those were great. Nice selection of adult drinks.

We’re visiting and everything was great except our main food took an hour to arrive. The area is nice with different levels of outdoor seating. Dogs are allowed. Our waitress was great. She brought out our appetizer, pickle fries, quickly. It was pretty good. Then we waited an hour for our beef pepper steak, crawfish etouffee, and fried shrimp to come. All of their food was delicious. They have heaters and turned it on for us after we requested it.

Their fried pickles and their Buffalo chicken sandwich are delicious! Their po'boy was okay, the shrimp was a little fish, but the batter was so good. The brass they use for their burgers is oh so good! We went in the afternoon, it wasn't too busy, service started off very strong, but towards the end took a little while, we assumed it was due to us being outdoors, would like to come back and try their indoor seating.

I ordered the Build Your Own Burger with French Fries and added American cheese as well as caramelized onions at an additional cost. The meat was completely unseasoned and tasted like nothing. If I'm paying for an additional topping, I feel like I should get enough to where I can taste it, but that was not the case. There were barely any caramelized onions and the lack of them added zero flavor to the burger. The fries were seasoned and slightly crispy but had a strange chewy texture that was unpleasant. The service and environment was a 10/10, but the food was extremely underwhelming considering the price of everything and all of the positive reviews. My party's food was also lukewarm as of receiving it. However, I would definitely order the fried pickles next time. They were extremely good.

The place didn't seem very busy on the Saturday that we went but we still had a 20-minute wait before we were sat. Our table ended up being a high table in the bar area and all of the chairs were very wobbly and uneven due to the tile floor. I did notice two or three other open tables when we got inside so I was wondering why the wait was so long? The server was great and friendly but the wait for the food seemed a little bit longer than we typically wait at other restaurants. The potato skins were very dry and the hamburger might have been the saltiest burger I've ever eaten. Maybe not "salty", but just lots of seasoning or seasoned salt or something? Man, all the bread in the world would not get that burger back to normal levels. My buddy's burger was the same way. Overall, the place seemed pretty decent with inside and outside seating but the inside seating was very limited unless there was some other room that I didn't see. There's a small playground and overall the place might look nicer at night because I did notice string lights hanging from the trees. The bathroom was also very nicely decorated. For the four of us, all ordering hamburgers or potato skins, the bill ended up being over $100 with tip which I thought was excessive. Probably won't visit this place again but glad we can check it off the list.

Yall need to eat your vegan options before serving it to guests for $15. 2 tacos, unseasoned, no protein, and bland salsa. So yeah, I was hungry in 1 hour after eating this sad meal. For goodness sake help a girl out and give her some beans for protein. My omnivore family was also underwhelmed with their food as well, with exception to my brother who ordered the etouffee, but just know the view is what you’re paying for. Dog friendly & the server was lovely too.

Lovely location and kind staff. Would not recommend for 4+ groups. We arrived just before midday with appetizers around 12:45p and mains served around 2p. The food quality was not great (we ordered chips, queso, steak and cheese, catfish, ceasar salad, and a PB&J). After a while, we noticed that all the tables around us had changed over twice since we were seated (we totally get that larger groups take more time, but we told our ticket was next after 90 mins). Great spot kids though with playground in the back and dog friendly on the patio.

Food not up to par....got the crawfish etouffee it was dry and not robustly flavored. They tried to make it spicy just for the sake of spicy. Potato skins where dry, under cooked. We also got the beef chez tacos it was good. We came in December so it was slow and perhaps they were just off their game. Service was great.

Ill start by saying the outdoor atmosphere was great. The patio seating is nice and they have a great play area for kids. Our server was very nice and checked on us often. Unfortunately, the food was not worth it. My husband and I both ordered tacos. It did take longer than a standard wait for the food, but the menu made everything sound so good and homemade, we thought it would be worth it. No. My Buffalo tacos (2 of them) that were a little more than 16 dollars consisted of a flour tortilla (not warm at all) topped with preshedded lettuce (the kind you get in a bag at Heb) 2 cherry tomatos sliced in half, 1 chicken tender that may have been drizzled with mild buffalo sauce but was still very dry, and a square of half melted cheese. The side of ranch tasted like it had been watered down with milk, and the coleslaw had zero flavor. My husband's tacos were the same. My daughter ordered French fries and they were the best tasting item on our table. A 62 dollar bill for 2 sweet teas, 2 kids meals, and 2 entres that consisted of a total of 4 tacos (that were awful) and some coleslaw. Not worth it at all. We wont be back, which is sad because we did really enjoy the atmosphere.

Went this past Sunday 10/12. Told a 20 min wait, waited 25. No big deal there except there was literally no one else sat inside. We were the only table and it took a good 5-10 mins to get our drink order taken. I think our waiter didn't know we were her table. She was sweet and did a good job. I think we waited what felt like an hour to receive our food. Nothing fancy, biscuits and gravy and a breakfast sandwich. Asked for sausage to be added for another $2...again not a big deal. The issue was the pathetically small amount of sausage and the fact that they forgot it the first time my food came out. My food wasn't hot the first time or and it was colder when they brought it back 20 mins later. I think the issue is with the kitchen. I don't know if they need more help or what but something needs to change. Also they said we could only order eggs over medium or scrambled because the kitchen was learning? I didn't know how that makes sense, but ok. The food was mediocre at best. Overall I liked the location and our waitress was good, those can't make up for how bad and slow the food comes out.

My main complaint were all the dang flies flying around sitting INSIDE while trying to enjoy what we could during our experience. The location is in a neat spot at least. We attempted to eat here Friday night at around 7 and were told there was an hr wait so we got on a waitlist but also looked elsewhere to eat. We got a text 1.5 hrs later that our table was ready but we had already eaten and back to our AirBnB by that time. When we got there Sat at around 5, there was no wait. The food we ordered were just ok. Out of everything we ate, the boudin balls were the best tasting. I ordered the Cajun pig sandwich, again, just ok. It may have been how I read the description, but I did not expect raw chopped onions in the sandwich. Had they been sautéed or grilled, I’d kept them on. That’s just my preference though. Also ordered 2 cookies towards the end (and before we asked for the check cuz it said it needed time to bake), and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. For almost a $3 cookie, I’d expect something a whole lot bigger rather than something that fits the size of my palm. Waited even longer because we were told one of the cookies broke and had to bake another. I even told our server to box it up anyways cuz in the end it was gonna get eaten regardless. Now, if it had fell to the floor then I understand the wait. This restaurant wouldn’t be my top choices to pick or recommend when visiting Wimberley.

We had a party of 6 and we were seated on the patio. Initially, things were going well. After placing our order I was reading the dessert menu and noticed that they had a chocolate chunk cookie. The description says that it takes a little time because they're prepared fresh, so place your order early. When the server brought our drinks i placed the order for the cookie. While she was clearing the plates i asked about the cookie. She said that she would check on it. When she returned with the check, which INCLUDED AN 18% GRATUITY, she said it's not ready yet because their oven is "running slow". She said it would only be about 15 minutes. 45 MINUTES AFTER PAYING THE CHECK some semi-management looking guy comes to the table and apologized. He assured us that the cookie was only about 15 minutes away. He said our cookies would be free because of the wait as he was walking away, leaving us all confused because we had already paid for it. Needless to say, I was angry. It was hot, our drinks were empty and no longer being refilled. Finally AN HOUR AND A HALF AFTER PAYING THE CHECK the man came to the table and said something like "this is the best cookie in the world!" He promptly dropped the box on the table and ran away. I thought maybe there was more than one because he said or cookies (plural) were on the house after we had already paid. When i opened the box and saw this $4 cookie, I literally had the urge to throw the box at the back of his head. This is the cookie that we my party of 6 paid $4 and had to sit on the hot patio for an hour and a half with no drink refills because we had already paid. Don't go. The service was terrible. It was bad enough to run my afternoon. Just don't go.
